Ideal
for
a
cheap
&
cheerful
night
or
two.
We
stayed
at
Hotel
Kamal
on
our
first
&
last
night
in
Agadir,
using
the
city
as
the
start
&
finish
point
of
a
bikepacking
trip
up
to
Marrakesh,
across
to
Essaouira
&
back.
For
this
purpose,
it
served
as
a
cheap
&
cheerful
hotel
stay
with
a
good
sized
twin
room
&
friendly
staff.
The
room
itself
is
dated
&
in
desperate
need
of
a
refurb,
was
clean
and
functional
for
our
needs.
The
bathroom,
too,
was
clean
and
functional,
albeit
also
in
desperate
need
of
a
refurb.
The
shower
doesn’t
have
a
barrier
or
curtain
to
stop
water
coming
out
of
the
bath
and
there
is
nothing
to
fix
the
head
to
the
wall.
The
rest
of
the
bathroom
came
across
a
bit
grubby
at
first,
but
this
is
mostly
due
to
the
lighting
and
the
age
of
the
units.
The
staff,
as
mentioned,
couldn’t
be
more
helpful
&
welcoming.
We
purchased
a
late
check-out
on
our
final
day
for
150
dirhams
&
the
hotel
stored
our
hard
plastic
bicycle
boxes
for
the
week
for
free.
The
pool,
foyer
and
public
areas
are
again,
dated,
but
clean
and
functional.
Breakfast
was
an
excellent,
buffet-style
affair
&
again,
the
staff
were
very
helpful
&
cheery.
It’s
around
a
10-15
minute
walk
to
the
beachfront
&
5-10
minutes
to
the
nearest
Carrefour.
There
is
a
mini-mart
just
outside
the
hotel
doors.
Overall,
we’d
definitely
stay
here
again,
but
if
you’re
expecting
a
modern
hotel
for
a
fortnight’s
holiday,
I’d
probably
recommend
elsewhere.
