Small airport. Fast passport control, but you need to have a printed boarding pass. According to different reviews here, the caffes in the airport are not the best, and it’s better to eat on board. No air conditioning, but at the end of September, the temperature inside was ok.

Airport needs big renovation! Not had any improvements since it was built-in 90', staff are very unhelpful ! Make sure you are early as long queue at the checking all the time, customs are the same very slow and makes you feel like you did a crime and you want to run away ! No smile nothing ! Something needs doing as soon as possible, very bad airport!!!!!

Super efficient airport. Flew out to Spain at 6:40AM so arrived at 4:45AM and could have arrived later as had plenty of time to go through security and customs. Wifi is free for 2 or 3 hours and it worked surprisingly well. It’s a small airport with 6 or so gates so things more fast. I didn’t eat but there were some decent options like Paul’s Bakery.

Here is a friendly tip to get to Agadir international airport like a local for 9 dirhams only: take line 97 and get off at the last station. Then hop on line 37 or 371 and get off at the airport. In total, it took me 90 minutes. Once passport control is done, cafes start charging European prices (a simple sandwich costs €5.90). So bring your own food with you. Everything else went smoothly: check-in, security check, and customs.

So annoying when you arrive you have to fill the Visa document. They only have booths for 4 People to create it and they provide you with bad pens. Took forever to get through This, but otherwise a fine airport. I was so Lucky to see one of the C-5 super galaxy US air Force places currently in the airport.

the worst airport I've ever been to. The flight staff take advantage of your luggage and charge you extra even if it fits perfectly fine in the box and the toilets are so dirty, it's almost as if nobody cleans them. The ladies at the desks are so rude and impolite and there is so much security to go through for no reason. You get charged extra even when your luggage is clearly fitting in the box. In London Gatwick they let it through perfectly whereas here they charged us an extra £125 for 3 small underseat cabin bags. Horrible airport, do not go there or use easy jet.

This airport has to have been the worst airport I ever had to experience in my entire life. 1. Cashier at cafe in departures area tried shortchanging my brother for his order after just doing so moments earlier with another customer, when confronted he immediately returned the missing change. 2. Despite arriving early. 2:30pm for 6:25pm flight, not allowed to pass through to security until 3hrs before flight is due. 3. Despite no check in luggage. Couldn’t pass through security screening without getting boarding card stamped at a check in desk so everyone on the flight had to queue for over an hour to get our boarding passes stamped. There were arguments breaking out as it became a free for all as people just began by pushing / jumping the queue. I didn’t get through to security until 5:45! Over three hours after arriving at the airport. 4. Boarding card and passport checked five times before getting to boarding gate. Why?? 5. Duty free area after security does not accept Moroccan currency, ended up using remaining MAD in overpriced gift shop (which happens to be a total rip off) I will never return to this airport as long as I shall live!

Spent 7 hours at this airport yesterday so I think I can give a fairly good rundown. First security was speedy, not sure what they actually checked. (1st passport check). Checking in was a slow process, but that's to be expected. (2nd passport check) and straight away (3rd passport check). Second security was very quick. (4th passport check). Boarder control was very quick. (5th passport check). There are about 8 souvenir shops, 4 food places and then a couple corner shop sort of things. My flight was cancelled and the team at the airport did a good job. Overall, 6 passport checks before getting on the aircraft. Not a bad airport at all.

Fast, because it's small and pretty well organised. But not too modern... could use an upgrade perhaps. Expect some fuss if you need a taxi, 200Dh to go to the city. But knowing it's difficult to get a 'fair' price. We hitchhiked. Busses were our second option. Anyway, everything went fine. But yeah compared to other airports in Morocco I expected a bit more.

Salam oualaykoum! This is a review for the parking Company Sogeka who run the parking at Agadir. In March 2020 like all tourists in Morocco we were given 24 hours to leave the country before military lockdown started. We were told to leave, we did not want to but we conformed to the governments wishes. The ferry was already not running so we packed quickly and went to the airport to try to make the last flight to UK. As I had my car I was obliged to check it in with the Douane and leave it in the airport parking. I spoke with a Sogeka employee who working and explained I was not sure when I could come back and he told me not to worry and that in this extreme circumstances the company will be fair. I tried twice since to come back but Morocco to bring my car to the UK but Morocco shut the borders each time. On top of this the borders with Spain were shut so I was unsure if I could even get my car out of the country. I just came back for the first time and Sogeka charged me €2000+ Euro (22,874 DH) for parking…no reduction, no allowance for the global pandemic, no humanity at all. I waited 2 weeks with a lot of Stress trying to see if anything would be done. Nothing! Does this seem fair Sogeka? Is this how Moroccan airport companies treat tourists who are caught up with COVID restrictions implemented by the Moroccan authorities out of their control? I am disgusted as are all my Moroccan friends who very kindly tried to help me sort out this situation. Evidence in the photos. Be warned anyone who leaves their car at a Moroccan airport…you would think common sense will prevail but alas no!

Great on arrival, we sailed through. Security leaving the airport is a joke. A scanner as you enter. Just 1 for everyone to use, so queues to enter the building. There are not enough staff on check-in, then Security again, not enough scanners for a coach load at a time, not enough seating for everyone, and the joke at the end was they did random drugs checks on people just before we boarded. Why couldn't they do this at security? I couldn't quite believe it. I'm not sure I'd return to Morocco after this experience.

The Arrival was fine. The departure annoying. No mobile board cards and the staff of the low cost air flight company uses this to make extra charges. Since the baggage was couple centimeters to broad, 399 MAD extra which need to be paid at a suspicious "swissport" company which does not accept credit card but copies credit card details to make a transaction on their own. Not acceptable!

Good airport, fast security check and adequate shopping available. Moroccan people are amazing, you just have to love North Africa.

Left Agadir on a domestic flight. Domestic area was very small, only a small coffee shop, but the staff was nice. Internet worked fine. Transfer to airport was 200MAD in the morning.

Went with TUI in Feb 2022 just as tourists were allowed back. On arrival quite straightforward and Effiecsnt. Tui reps direct you to the coach, lots of baggage porters, who want a tip so have some cash, after all many haven’t worked for a long time. Be kind and generous as this area got smashed due to covid. On return the airport is small, but had 2-3 cafes and theirs a good place with food deal for 9euros, plus some gift shops.

The most ridiculous airport. Pathetic security check (gor throught metal detectors with coins in your pocket)but after they will annoy you with personal checks every 10m, cannot go to the toilet without being checked on the way back to your seat at the waiting area (not having any backpack or a bag with you).

There’s 7 check points which is very annoying and slows down the service 1- at the entrance of the airport 2-airline workers for check in which is normal (handwritten bording pass) 3-policeman check your passport again before customs 3-customs check how much money you have 4- security to scan your luggage 5-border to check your passport and stamp it 6- a policeman to check your stamp 7- flight attendant check your boarding pass before you go to airplane yard Airport is very old, police don’t smile and slow service

Airport is ok. Its small and easy. You find everything very quickly and you dont have to be there hours before. Also you might see some millitary planes which is kinda cool. But in front of the Airport are the Taxis and there are people asking you if you need a Taxi. And because they stand right there you think they are taxi drivers. So you say yes and they will talk to one of the actuall taxi drivers and than you can go in. And before the taxi leaves the airport you vave to pay the other guy because he ordered you a taxi. While you could have done this by yourself because the taxis are right there. And the airport security does absolutley nothing against it. Watch out!

Not many shops post security and could do with aircon. Also the TUI reps here tried to charge me for overweight baggage but I had increased my allowance when booking the holiday so push back if they try this

The airport is simple, small and manageable. In the airport itself, you don't have to walk long distances to get to the gates, which can be reached on foot within a maximum of 5 minutes. Also the prices are very fair in the airport itself. The only improvement that could be made is that the airport could be made more modern, also a notable point is that you have to show your passport 6 times before you definitely get on the plane, security is good but this is definitely exaggerated.

Don't expect too much. Everything that isn't duty free (souvenirs, cosmetics, clothing) has a huge mark up including food, but the food prices are not as bad as everything else. Expect to pay 110dh for a fast food meal - (£10 or €11) small tub of ice cream 50dh - £4 €4.50. Drinks are £3+. The worst part of the airport is that you can not use Dirham in the duty free. You must pay with euro. Seemed a little strange to me that they cannot accept their own currency. Other than a few shops, duty free, coffee shop, patisserie and fast food stall that is it. Best thing the airport had to offer was the toilet which was immaculately clean!

Not much to the airport but lots of security to navigate but thankfully that was quick. Not a lot of food offerings which is not ideal whilst waiting for a delayed flight! There is free wifi but it's not great. Any for some reason the phone reception dropped in and out (same as the wifi). There are also no charging points available!

Lots and lots of security checks to get through to departures. Don’t leave your souvenir hunting until the airport as it’s a little expensive and not much choice. It’s a small “charming” old airport, it has a smoking outdoor area with coffee shop and a couple of places to eat offering sandwiches and pizzas.

Having travelled extensively over last 50 yrs this airport is by far my favourite. No matter how busy you never get that "rushed /hassled" feeling experienced in other airports. Staff so pleasant & courteous and everywhere spotlessly clean. Travelling here frequently nearly 20yrs and never found fault.

Anything local was really expensive! Not a great food selection and also over priced for an airport. Duty free selection was alright but not a massive selection

It was alright but the extent of security was a bit much. First of all, printed boarding passes must still be checked at the desk which we were not informed of until trying to go through security. Next on my way through security 4 separate people checked my passport in addition to the check in desk. Uneccesary and a waste of time. Then directly prior to boarding you had to go through an explosives check which, again, we were not informed of. This could have easily been performed at security and could easily have led to people missing the flight. Other than that the airport is nice. Arrival was very easy and streamlined just the outbound procedure was rather inefficient.

Passport checked 7 times...hand luggage xrayed, scanned, swabbed and emptied out easier to get into Morocco than to get out...

Quick controls overall, people INSIDE the airport was nice but be prepared for the "taxis" outside asking for absurd prices OUTSIDE of the airport. If you are only with a backpack and you dare you can go just outside the airport and ask for the Inezgane shared taxi ride (5-10 Dh) and then go for Agadir centre (7 Dh).

This airport got stuck in 1970. They still ask for a paper copy of your boarding pass. Arrive earlier to get to the check in desk or print the board pass at the hotel. Their security process is a bit silly. Long, many steps. What is the point?

  • 1/5 Dominika K. 1 year ago on Google
The worst airport I’ve ever been to. The prices are extremely high considering how cheap everything is in town. I mean EXTREMELY. The souvenir shops are very poor and sell random things - we were searching for nice fridge magnets and only found one plastic one which said I LOVE CUSCUS. Best dont leave buying souvenirs for last minute. There are also only two places where to buy food and drink. I recommend not coming here too early because you will be bored and hungry.
