It's a smallish café restaurant on a side street off the promenade of Canteras, so it's normally quieter than those you'll find on the seafront. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I was here for breakfast, and had the "Pepiada", a thick open toast of chicken and mashed avocado, topped up with a poached egg. Delicious! Service was attentive. I did find, however, that the prices are rather steep, but nothing is cheap these days!

Delicious new place to have breakfast/brunch close to Las Canteras Beach! Generous portions at an unbeatable price. Cute interior and outdoor seating too. Staff is super nice! Another plus: If you order still water (agua sin gas) they have a machine to filter the water and serve it in a reusable glass bottle, so no plastic bottle waste! 😍♻️ Never seen that before, I was so impressed!

We were happy to find a brunch place around Las Canteras, and the first impression was great. The tortilla (Spanish omelette) was excellent and the breakfast burrito was also very good. Came back a second time. This time we also tried the chicken club sandwich. Almost 10 euros for some tiny pieces of chicken in mayo between pieces of dull, dry bread was a disappointment. Third time we decided to stick to the tortillas. After 25 mins wait we were told it would take 10 mins more, but in the end it took almost an hour before the food was served. Even though we made the staff aware of this, nothing was done to improve the experience. A small gesture of a coffee refill or a symbolic discount is often all it takes... In conclusion, given the price level, there is much room for improvement. Reply to owner: I appreciate your time to write a reply to the review, but it seems a bit unprofessional to try undermine it by implying that we were being rude. After 50 mins (25 mins after you had told us "10 more minutes"), my wife reminded you when you passed by our table. You just gave her a look, and walked away without replying to her. So when you some minutes later came back with the food, she did unfortunately not have so much patience left to listen to why the food took an hour to make. Anyway, this is my review, not hers, and it is generally a good idea to advise about long preparation time in advance. That way your guests can decide for themselves if they can wait that long...

Delicious breakfast and specialty coffee. Can definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a flat white, homemade falafel or simply a cozy cafe with a great service!

Very pleased with the service and food here. It’s very friendly for kids and the menu was versatile. Plenty of great smoothies and premium quality matcha tea. I ordered the chocolate banana pancakes. They were very nice and tasted freshly made. I highly recommend if you want a light healthy lunch in town.

This is the second time we went to Fresquito for a brunch. The food was very good, especially the pancakes. Coffee was average, would not go there just for a coffee. Smoothie was nice. The place wasn’t busy but it took quite some time to before the food came and to get an overall attention of the staff. Otherwise, probably the best brunch place in Las Palmas we have been to.

Lovely little breakfast cafe with good food, a sunny terrace and a very welcoming host. The French toast was delicious, and the Eggs Benedict were gone so fast I didn’t take a picture. Good coffee, too. I’ll be coming back next year :)

Such a great little place! We had a French Toast and a Salmon Bagel, to be honest, the French Toast was the best I’ve ever had (and I had quite a few over the years in different countries). Salmon Bagel was also amazing. Will be back next time we’re in Gran Canaria.
