John and Moses and Irene's place is just the perfect spot to chill and relax from the hustle-bustle of Agra, in between visiting the city's historic sites. They are warm, friendly people who are also travellers themselves and will welcome you at their home as a friend would do. I recommend booking with breakfast included, and you can also order dinner cooked by Irene, which is really tasty and refreshing.

We had a wonderful time at Moses and his families place. Moses welcomed us to his home with so much love and joy. It is the perfect place to relax and recover from the noisy and crowded places of Agra. Moses took so much time to talk us and made sure we were feeling comfortable. Before coming here we still felt overwhelmed by India as it was only out 4th day. After talking to Moses for hours we are feeling safer and more comfortable. We are starting to enjoy India more and more now. He even helped us book train tickets and with our general travel plans. We would recommend this place to absolutely everybody!

I had a very good time with Moses and his family. Great location, good food and great vibes. I recommend going to the "secret" sunset place. A memory I will never forget.

The host Moses was kind and helpful! And he gave lots of advice for our trip in India. Although we only stayed for a night we really enjoyed our stay! The homestay is far enough from the main attractions to have some peace and quiet but close enough to only need a short tuk tuk ride to everything. Would definitely recommend if you're in Agra!

Staying here was the best part of our trip to Agra. The house is tucked away in a quieter neighborhood so we were able to escape the chaos of the city. It's a bit farther away from the Taj Mahal than some other hostels, but the walk was enjoyable and it was nice to see a non-touristy part of Agra. Moses, the host, is super friendly and a helpful guide to those who need it. He went above and beyond to help us navigate our complicated train itinerary (PSA if you're visiting Agra, stay at least two full nights to make it less stressful for yourself). The food was made with love and very tasty. Their dog is a ray of sunshine!

Our 2 nights at Zig Zag were an absolute joy. If you’re hunting for a clean, relaxing stay away from all the noisy tourist spots, look no further. Moses, the host, really did go above and beyond at every opportunity. He was so helpful, giving us super useful advice on several occasions. Being a Homestay - rather than a hostel - Zig Zag felt like more than just a bed to sleep in. You’d be foolish to book anywhere else in Agra. Thanks for making our stay so special Moses!

Such a great stay. Amazing food, very friendly family, and such a more wholesome experience than some other hostels. Moses has a lot of knowledge of the world and is happy to share that with travelers. Moses became more of a friend than a host for me and we chatted about future plans for me to bring my aussie mates to Agra, as well as him showing me around on his bike. The rooms and facilities were also some of the cleanest and nicest that I experienced whilst travelling India! And also super affordable. A win-win in every way

The hostel is nice in cozy with one bunk room and one private you. Leaving you with a lovely night sleep in a quiet neighborhood. Moses the host make all the more amazing as he offers wonderful personal suggestions for you stay in Agra along with the occasional street food tour guided by Moses himself! I would recommend to any back packer and budget traveler!

We had a really great stay at zigzag hostel. Moses and the family make you feel right at home and provided very useful advice, both for Agra and for the rest of our trip. Moses took up on a street food tour that was a real highlight. He also booked our tuktuks which were very reasonably priced. The place is very clean and comfortable. It’s very chilled and relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone going to Agra. Thanks to Moses and the family!

Got recommended to stay in this place from a friend and I couldn’t be happier to have spent the last few days of my trip in India in this wonderful homestay. Moses and his family are very welcoming and sweet. I got to do a street food tour with Moses and I really enjoyed discovering different Indian dishes. Def recommend this place if you wanna visit Agra and the beautiful Taj Mahal. Moses will Help you organize everything and take care of your needs.

We had an amazing stay after being recommended zigzag by another traveller we met. We weren’t disappointed, we were welcomed into the families home and they couldn’t do enough for us. They helped us book our trip to the Taj Mahal, arrange onward travel and we felt very looked after when we arrived sleepy from the night bus. Thank you :)

Everything about my stay at Zigzag was perfect - it's a nice and clean homestay with comfy beds with curtains and space to hang out. The owner organized great sightseeing and food tours for us and also helped to plan our further traveling, booked train tickets and had lots of good recommendations.

ZigZag truly lives up to the homestay name! We got such a warm welcome to Agra from Moses and his family who are fantastic hosts. Moses is a wealth of travel information, and is happy to share his recommendations on things both near and far! The lodgings were super clean. Edited: Name correction. (Sorry Moses 😅)

Clearly such a kind family running it. I booked after taking advice from a blog only to find that the Zig Zag hostel had changed location and now wasn't as close to the Taj as i thought. With one night in Agra it was important to stay near the Taj for the early wake up. The manager was so understanding and so calm. He helped me find a new place and never wanted anything other than my stay in agra to be perfect. Huge respect to this man and his business.

We arrived here by train at 6am and Moses and his team were so accommodating. They even let us check in that early! I had called the hostel the night before to see if it was possible to drop off our bags when we arrived so we could go straight to the Taj and he sent me through a pile of helpful information - he told us the best and cheapest way to get to his hostel, sent me the link to pre purchase our Taj tickets so we wouldn’t have to line up, even told us the best cafes for breakfast around the area. They also offer sunset tours around the Taj which unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to do. When it was time to leave again, one of his staff members walked us to our Uber to make sure we found it okay. 10/10 stay, the rooms are basic but clean and perfect for a night or two. The service is excellent and we felt right at home. Thanks again Moses - Maddi, Lianna and Luke Oh and it’s so close to the Taj Mahal! Great location

I picked this for the location, which was great especially if you want to go to Taj early in the morning. But that’s not what ended up being the best thing about this place, the service was just incredible. The family that runs this place made sure that I was able to fit in everything I wanted to in my short time there and them made sure I made it to my train. They don’t try to sell you things, they genuinely offer you options and you can partake in whatever with no pressure. I’d also recommend their henna contact, she’s super talented.

Comfortable beds, good food, and every facility available here. The ambience is amazing, you wouldn't want to leave. But the real USP here are the hosts, the most warm, caring and welcoming people, made us feel like home from the moment I met them. Very polite and interesting to talk to, but also very responsible and trustworthy. I stayed here for two weeks and felt completely safe and relaxed here. I returned home with my heart filled with so much love and warmth.

The ZigZag hostel is near to the Taj Mahal. It's amazing. The owner is a traveler and knows what a traveler need. Every detail in this hostel is made with love. For example, the tea is free. The guests come together, to drinking tea, share experience or just telling some stories. We wrote on the wall a message from our country. It makes this hostel so lovely. The menu is excellent. You will find here delicious Indian cuisine. The rooms and the washing room are clean. From the Terrace we had a great view. The hostel is outside of the traffic and we enjoyed the quite moments on the terrace. Definitely we will come back :)

Zigzag was a peaceful respite from the busy atmosphere of Agra. Clean, neat rooms. Great location on a scenic street, right across from the Taj Nature walk which I also recommend as a peaceful and scenic getaway. Also a cool view of the Taj. We got there early and were able to check in right away. They were renovating the room we had booked on hostel world, so they upgraded us from a dorm to a private. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. Moses the host was very helpful with whatever we asked him for. We asked for a Tuk Tuk and our driver Titu did a great job.

We had an amazing time at Moses’ homestay. Everything was clean and well maintained. My highlight of our stay was the dinners prepared by the family. Moses also provided us with amazing recommendations for Taj Mahal and other things to do. The homestay made our time in Agra more memorable. Highly recommend!

We were warmly welcomed by the entire family. This hostel felt like a home away from home. The owners are extremely helpful with planning your stay in Agra, and even the rest of your trip in India if needed. The room was comfortable, the general area was cosy and the homemade food was delicous. There is a roofterras with comfy couches for hanging out. Try their cooking class, it's very interesting!

Zigzag homestay is the best place to stay in Agra! It is one of the cleanest places, I found in India. The house is colorful and a really beautiful. For us, it felt like home. Moses and his family are so lovely! The mom cooks really well, the sister is really open minded and Moses is caring and helpful. He totally knows the best places in Agra, but he also just gives advices without pressuring you to do it on his way. We felt really comfortable! Thanks a lot 🥰

Excellent place to stay in Agra, very different from other scammy places. Family living there is charming, Moses & brother are really helpfull and nice people. In this homestay you will find yourself like in home. I loved it.

An excellent home stay run by the most welcoming family a solo traveller could ask for. If you are travelling to Agra, you would be mad not to stay here! The son of the family works in tourism and so has all the connections and recommendations necessary to make your stay fun-filled and cost effective. If you don’t fancy going into town, the clean comfy home stay has tasty home-cooked food and quick wifi for you to feel right at home. Highlights of their generosity during the stay include: driving me to see the Taj Mahal (at 5:30 am), allowing me to use their bike to roam the city (for free!), and making me chai for my onwards journey onwards.

Very basic homestay but if you dont mind the occasional loss of hot water the place is an decent option. You feel like your at a local families house.

Great hostel with great hosts. Moses has been really helpful with the places to visit and especially the off beat place for the sunset with the taj mahak view being so close and right behind it, that he mentioned about was mesmerising. The place to stay is also quite reasonable, hygienic and good. You have been of great help Moses. Thank you so much !!

The hostel had everything you needed, we found the beds were quite comfortable. Everything was also super clean. Food was delicious. The vibe of the place was amazing, we didn’t want to leave. The real winners however were the hosts. Moses and his family welcomed us with open arms. Had great recommendations and conversations. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

🫤 The people in the hotel were friendly and helpful, the location is great and the place on the roof is nice. If you are used to cleanliness then I would not recommend this place to more then just 1 night (only for sleeping) stay.
