Battis Khamba Chhatri is a three storey building whose top terrace is square shaped that measures 12.5m x x12.5m. The roof of the building rests on 32 pillars or battis khamba and that’s the reason the building was named so. The pillars are arranged in two rows where the outer side has six and inner has four pillars. The upper part of the pillar is octagonal in shape while the lower one is square-shaped. There is a verandah in which the center of the ceiling has a big dome which is surrounded by three small domes. Rest of the ceiling is flat.

This grand 32 pillared building was being built by Maharaja Hammir in the memory of his son, which remained incomplete.

Ranthambore Fort lies within the Ranthambore National Park, near the city of Sawai Madhopur, the park being the former hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until the time of India's Independence. It is a formidable fort having been a focal point of the historical developments of Rajasthan 32 pillars chhatri is known as hammir court.

The count of pillar are 32, that is why it is called 32 pillar chatri. It's a historical place situated inside of Ranthambhore National park's Fort. It is on the top of mountain near to Ganesh Mandir. Also there is a Shiva Linga situated under this chhatri. Very few people, basically the locals and guide know about this mandir. There is very huge Shivling beneath the Chatri. During my visit the renovation work was going on. It is about 3 storey building.
