There are two main entrances to the place. If you have your train on platform 7. Please ask your driver to drop you off at the other end of the station (turning from State Bank Chauraha). If you take the turning from bus stand, you will reach the other end of the station and you will need to walk almost 500-600 mtrs to get to platform 7.

Mathura Junction is well connected station of Indian Railway with major cities of India. This is the only railway station in India from where 7 rail routes passes through. It's a neat and clean railway station with many facilities provided by the Indian railways. Mathura Junction railway station has a tourist information centre, telephone booths, computerised reservation centre, waiting room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshment rooms, and a book stall. Mathura is a sacred city in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. The deity Lord Krishna is said to have been born on the site of Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi, a Hindu temple.Krishna Janmashtami & Holi Festival is grandly celebrated every year in Mathura. Mathura is well-connected by road to the rest of India.Ā Currently the city has no airport. The nearest airports are theĀ Agra AirportĀ (about 60Ā km away) and theĀ Delhi AirportĀ (about 160Ā km away) with major national and international air routes. Mathura RefineryĀ located in the city is one of the biggest oil refineries of Asia with a refining capacity of 8.0Ā millionĀ tonnesĀ per year.

It is one the biggest railways station in the region but in terms of facilities available it is one of the worst too. Seating arrangements for passengers waiting for train is very lesser than it should have keeping in mind that it is the main tourist place for pilgrimage as Krishna Janmbhumi & Vrindavan. During rain the platform get fully drench coz of overflowing water from the pillars of platform shade. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. Station lay out is also not convenient for commuters.

It is a kind of busy railway station as it is place of tourists attraction. This station modified according to new design and structure. Construction of over bridges is under progress.

Rest room, waiting room, clock room, restaurant etc. Mathura Junction railway station is an important station on Agraā€“Delhi chord of Delhiā€“Mumbai and Delhiā€“Chennai lines. It is located in Mathura district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the important North-Central Railway station. It serves Mathura and Vrindavan. The structure of this station is lit big older. Huge space given for public and railways. For hygiene and maintenance I'll give 3.4/5. This junction Connects almost 6-7 other popular places which is good thing in traveling aspect
