It’s a little out of the way for those staying downtown but is definitely worth a visit. I particularly enjoyed the bright and colorful wall paintings, one of the unique things about this temple. There were no admission fees during my visit.

Most beautiful Wat I visited in Luang Prabang. I visited near sunset and was treated to gorgeous light reflecting off the well maintained golden details of the wat. A little off the tourist path, so you will have the chance to explore it without company.

A cat family lives here, the monks seemed like them very much. There is no entrance fee, at least at night.

Neat little temple with painting on the exterior. No entry fee which is a welcome break from the other temples in Luang Prabang.

A truly lovely temple away from the tourist strip. The temple itself is painted all the way around with scenes from the life of the Buddha which makes it a really photogenic temple to visit.
