Manekchowk Food Market is a place I keep coming back to, and I was there just yesterday. The variety of food here is incredible, and it all tastes so good. They serve you quickly, which is great. The only hiccup is getting there. The traffic and narrow lanes can be a bit of a challenge. And don’t even get me started on parking – it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack. But if you’re up for a delicious adventure, this place is a must-visit for food lovers!

“The secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside.” – Mark Twain Amazing place. Amazing food. And the vibes of the Manekchowk is so Damn super. About parking: You can easily find parking for 2 wheelers. But you can’t find 4 wheeler parking easily.

This is a great place to visit during good weather. Definitely a big NO during rains & peak summers. The place is 300 mtrs from the main road. The food stalls start serving food around 8:00 pm. This is the ideal time to arrive as it is easy to get an empty table. Charming place to eat at night in middle of old city of Amdavad. It’s a street food place with focus on Sandwich, Pav Bhaji, Pizza , Dosa , Fruit Shots and Kulfi. A few Mukhwas shops also in the market where you can different varieties of Mukhwas. You must try Gotala Dosa from Balan Dosa, Pineapple Cheese Sandwich, Chocolate Cheese Sandwich from Manek, Ghughra Sandwich is also very famous. Gwalior Dosa & Ashrfilal’s Roll Cut Ice creams are very famous. If you love cheese and open street food then must visit the Manekchowk..!!

The best place to have street food in Ahmedabad. The place is filled with small stalls offering all kinds of items. There are no non-veg dishes served here. It usually starts around 8 PM and opened till 3 AM. At night also local autos are available which can take you to nearby places.

Ahmedabad Street Food is one of my favorite places to have street food in Ahmedabad. Its was my first experience in Ahmedabad at manekchowk and it was really amazing. It's an open street food lane with a wide variety of food items, from traditional Gujarati dishes to variety of cuisine. The prices are very affordable and the food taste is amazing. I highly recommend the ghotala dosa, ragda pattice, and dahi puri. The ghotala dosa is a hearty dish of mashed cheese, vegetables, and spices, served with a buttery pav. The ragda pattice is a savory patty made with mashed potatoes, chickpeas, and spices, served with a sweet and sour chutney. And the dahi puri is a crispy fried puri filled with yogurt, chutneys, and sev.

One of the popular place of Ahmedabad when you are looking for something interesting to eat.. I tried few of the items & that turns out an amazing experience. Best time to visit this place is after 8 PM . You can find varities of food late night.. place is quite overcrowded & food is also over priced.

This place is known for Street Food which has lots of varieties like ( South Indian, Indo-Chinese, Various Sandwiches, Mouth Freshener, Tawa Ice Cream and Fruit Shots) a lot more than you think 🤔. The streets are busy and congested. And you have to park your vehicle a little far from the street. Recommend once-a-time experience.

Too much high price food. The high prices and expensive food did not match the average quality of the food. It is important for restaurants to offer good value for money, and if the prices are high, customers expect high-quality food. It may be worth considering other dining options that offer better value for money and a better overall experience.

The food is average and also it is expensive. It’s famous for the street food but the price is equal to that of restaurant. I went at night and it was very crowded, you have to wait for the place to sit and eat. I really liked the Gini Dosa.

I recently visited Manekchowk Food Bazaar and had a mixed experience. The Pavbhaji was delicious, bursting with flavor, but I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. On the other hand, the Singapore noodles were average, lacking the punch I expected. Old style pizza was good. Overall, a decent place for a quick bite, but improvements in portion sizes and noodle preparation would be appreciated.

Manek Chowk is the best place to try the Indian street snacks in nighttime. The unique point about this street food place is that it vanishes in the morning and again settles at night every day. A wide range of variety of multi cuisine snacks are available like Gotala Dosa, Gwalia Dosa, Indian bhakri pizza, and much more. At the end, try the roll ice cream and Jamin shots. Parking space is available but try to reach by 10:30 pm because you will get the parking but you may not get the seat at the common dining area and you may have to wait for some time. Also, one more unique thing I found is that there are many street vendors but you don't need to give them order individually the serving guys are taking common order from customer for different items from different food stalls. I hope you like the place. Enjoy and share your review. Thank You

Manek Chowk is situated in one of the fasting growing metropolitan city of Gujarat named Ahmedabad, which is itself a large and one of the first fastest growing city of Gujarat. The people of Gujarat are fond of every kind of food, whether it is their Gujarati Thali or any other Indian dishes or Mexican and Italian food. Manek Chowk of Ahmedabad is located in the old town of Ahmedabad which is named after the Maneknath baba who helped Ahmed Shah to build the Bhadra Fort. In the early morning, the Manek Chowk is a vegetable market, while in the afternoon there is jewellery shops market and at night it is the biggest food market in Ahmedabad. You will able to find plenty of food items and also that dishes will have plenty of flavors, so one will face some tough choice while ordering the food over this place. The opening hours of this place is from 6 PM to 1 AM at midnight and the pick period in which the crowd is more are from 8 PM to 11 PM, and during this time it is hard to get your ordered food faster and waiting time increases on the weekends as the crowd also increases gradually till late night. So, it is good to go on working days rather than the weekends if you don’t want to be in crowdy area.

A nice place to eat some famous street foods of Ahmedabad. However, it is highly crowded with little spaces in between which makes it highly unconfortable to sit and eat in peace. Also, if you are allergic to Cheese then this place is highly dependent on it. The o nly appreciable drink to have is the Shots of various flavours. Go and try it for yourself.

The food of the streets were unimaginable, it was the best food experience in my life! but, Some food were not good and some were overloaded of dairy products like cheese, butter, sause and mayonnaise. To much overcrowding and very busy and noisy place too. But in all it was fun! It was absolute madness out there. I will definitely go there for eating deserts. It is definitely not a place for the sophisticated ones.

Considering all the hype that Manek Chowk has for having the best street food in Ahmedabad, it wasn't as expected. I went on a Saturday night and it was extremely crowded. There are mostly 3-4 types of street food catered to: 1. Pav Bhaji, 2. Sandwich, 3. Pizza, and 4. Pani Puri, 5. Jamun shots I tried a little of everything and would say that dishes are pricey in comparison to street food and taste is not upto the mark. The Pizza had more cheese than vegetable toppings and the vegetable toppings were raw. For me, Manek Chowk unfortunately wasn't able to satisfy my street food cravings.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with the recent dining experience at Manekchuak Unfortunately, I have encountered several issues that have negatively impacted my overall impression. Firstly, I must address the quality of the food. I found the dishes to be subpar and far below the standards that I expected. The flavors were bland, and some of the ingredients seemed to be of poor quality. Additionally, the presentation of the dishes was lackluster, leaving much to be desired in terms of appetizing appearance. Secondly, the service provided was highly unsatisfactory. The waiters were inattentive, unresponsive, and seemed indifferent to the needs of the customers. It was challenging to get their attention and receive any assistance or even simple requests, which severely hindered the overall dining experience. Lastly, I would like to express my concern regarding the overwhelming crowd that was present during my visit. The area was excessively crowded, making it difficult to move around and enjoy a peaceful meal. The noise level was unbearable, and the lack of adequate space between the tables added to the discomfort. Prices are not worth it.

To be honest this place is not really worth the hype. It’s a midnight food market and what we normally expect from a street food place is good taste food at a very reasonable price. But at this place everything is overpriced for the quantity and quality and food and service they provide. The atmosphere here is very crowded and even if you manage to get a table, you will have to wait for long to get the services. I tried the iconic pineapple ice cream sandwich from here, that was not bad. But overpriced I would say. I tried pav bhaji from a stall and it was of 160/- Rs. and taste wise it was not even good. If you’re a really hygienic person, I would suggest you to not go here, because if you watch closely how the food is made and served, you won’t really eat from here.

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with this place. Everything is 3X the price with no food quality. Everything just has too much cheese which spoils the flavour and taste. If you are from Mumbai and have tried street food there don't even dare to go here. It's just an overrated place. Highly disappointing and waste of time, energy and money.

During day time it is a regular market with different types of shops, including jewellers. After Six Thirty in the evening the shops are closed and the food carts take position in four streets. Full of tables and chairs. The food court offers a variety of fast food items. Traditional sweets and snacks are also available. They are open till One Thirty AM.

Extreme mediocre food! Lost all its unique touch when it comes to entertaining local cuisine... Greatly disappointed Waiters were more concerned with making a sale than satisfying the customer's need... You can evidently see the change in their attitude and approach when you don't want to order certain things that they force you to... Place desperately needs some change with respect to management aspects of it!

Good street food experience. If you love to try junk food, this is the place. You can have "pineapple cheese sandwich" or "Cadbury rabdi ice cream sandwich" or shots of fruit juices and a lot of other items. Very crowdy even on working days. Starts after 8.30 in evening. If you drive here be sure to park somewhere nearby as the place proper is very congested. Old and popular street food joint worth trying.

  • 5/5 Sanskriti O. 2 years ago on Google
We reached there after 10 pm but it felt like 8 pm😂 Since it is street food, it is surely affordable and you can get table service too for everything. Only vegetarian food is available. This is one of the place where you can go at or after evening. If you are in Ahmedabad, you should definitely visit this place at least once!

👍 This branch was super clean, pretty spacious and well maintained. Service was super quick and the food was amazing. This place definitely lives upto its legacy. This place provides multiple cuisine options from across the world, with a Gujarati flavour in it! The staff are amicable & courteous too.
