It is one of the favourite places to have South Indian food in ahmedabad. On tiresome weekend, I was near this locality while craving for some light lunch, so I headed to this place. Ordered Ghee roast and some filter coffee, which was so amazing and filler. Their sides were great, too, especially their sambhar. Would look forward to trying their other items.

This is the best South Indian restaurant opposite to Cama Hotel in Khanpur area. Very well known for authentic South Indian food in Khanpur. I used to study Graduation in Bhavan's college and this was a good place to sit with our college friends and sip filtered coffee here. Even today after 25 years also the same taste is maintained.

Recently visited this restaurant in lanes of Old Ahmedabad. Located opposite to Riveria Sarovar Hotel. You may not easily locate it as this is very old restaurant and not maintained adequately. Apart from legacy it is an ordinary restaurant. Seems restaurant was opned in 1960s. Tried Idli Sambhar it was okay nothing special about it. Could see flies moving around. Wish if they have maintained and upkeep restaurant.

Had their Rava Dosa - Onion , I'd say this is as close and perfect as it could get to one's down south , at least among the ones I have visited during my stay here . Do visit 👍

The best restaurant in ahemdabad and very famous i tried the chess dosa or whatever it was but worth the money i spent there and very quick and responsive staff and do any orders very quick and smoothly and the owner of the place al always attentive what you need and what you want the think is it is some what little expensive but worth eating there

I went to the restaurant, I ordered tomato onion mix uttpam as I ordered always. I prefer this restaurant for lunch and dinner always. I got my order without salt. Then I return it. While returning the manager is too loud and not talking easily. Then I served by too salty uttapam. I left there and go home with hunger ☹️

I visited this place after almost 5-6 yrs but same taste and nothing has changed! I talked to one of the workers working there ,he told me that they haven't changed their cook yet! Keep it up guys! Be simple ,be authentic !

Food quality is good but doesn't match with bangalore udupi restaurants. Also the rates of almost all the items are almost double than that of bangalore udupis. I wanted to go this place since long, although it's not that attractive as it seems from outside... Food is just 😶 not that great that I expected as I am a huge fan of all south Indian food and love to visit all the south Indian joints, this place didn't get upto my mark. Ambience 1 out of 5 too clumsy, hygiene 1 as didn't find it only the path was clean. They don't know how to make a lasiss I know I shouldn't expect this from a South Indian place still if it's in your menu you should know it. The dosa was not at all hot and was soggy don't know how did the cook managed to make a triangle of a soggy one... only reason of giving 3 star is their cashier knows what is "hospitality", I didn't carried any cash with me and the card was not a sure option as the card mashine was not working well even after that he insisted on that I have my meal and I could pay with cash if needed as the ATM machine is just next-door ( although I knew it's not 🙂). I would try tasting and visiting next time around 7 months later hope they improve as per my suggestions

It is really a good South Indian Restaurant in Ahmedabad. Most of the south dishes are available. I liked the filtered coffee most. It is just opposite to Hotel Cama, khanpur. Washroom is clean but very small. Recommended to all who wants to enjoy authentic South Indian dishes in Ahmedabad with family and friends.

The owners wife was the interior designer of this place and after her death he didn't wanted any changes to be done to this place. It gives the happy old vibes , the furniture and the place is still as it was before the wife's death. Visit this place if you are travelling to Ahmedabad or if you live in Ahmedabad you must visit this place. The price is also good not to much or less just proper price and you get great food. I have only had tea here, the cleanliness inside the restaurants and the staff was very friendly, the Kovid-19 guideline is being followed properly. We were given tea in a ceramic cup, which would have been better if it were in an earthen Cup.

Coming to finisher, the Filter cofee .we have liked it very much.you can ask them for strongness in coffe since they make in general the coffe we got is very light. Coming to cost..little expensive, Idly 2 pc is 60 Dosa is 80 Uthappa. Is 80... Coffee is 50.. as we are at too much hungry, had like anything and paid like anything 😄.
