Went there with friends for a gujrati breakfast. I tried fafda jalebi, khanam, methi gota, dal vada and everything was mouth watering. Very authentic local food. Would definitely recommend this place.

This is a very good breakfast place from years. We have visited a few times but I feel this place is very over priced. I understand the quality is veery good and taste is very good still I feel it's a bit costly. A simple breakfast for 2 can cost you around 700-800 easily and for me thata too much. Go if you have to go for taste and you have your bonuses credited.

This appears to be a very old restaurant, as soon as you enter the place, one will surely get a nostalgic feeling of entering a normal restaurants in the times of late 80’s to 90’s. To be specific in terms of quality and quantity of food, its excellent. Oswal is known to provide quality food at all times. Sitting capacity is also good enough. As I mentioned earlier, the ambience is yet to be updated / upgraded. (Only advantage is that the sitting area is air conditioned). Let me highlight one of the specific negative point, the prices are exorbitantly high (I agree that quality has a price, but the pricing is seriously sky rocketing). The hotel management seriously needs to think on this and bring the rates in digestible ranges. (Photograph of the menu is attached herewith as on 13/10/2023 for ready reference).

OSHAWAL, Ahmedabad is one of the best hotels to have Jalebi Fafda. The location of OSHWAL is also advantageous. It is situated in a prime area of the city, making it easily accessible to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping centers. Overall, my experience at OSHWAL, Ahmedabad was truly memorable.

Brilliant food. Best Khamman, best Methi gotli, the best Jilebi (and i don't even like jilebi!!) Awesome service. Will come again and again.

- The cost is too high compared to experience you'll have at the place. - We had one plate fafda of which portion size was too small. - We ordered Puri bhaji instead received Chana Puri. On returning the saying it was wrong order, the waiter dined for the same and insisted that we ordered chana Puri. - The chana sabji was literally taste less. - The Puri was thick and oily. - The staff was okayish.

One of the best place to visit for authentic Gujarati breakfast.

I tried jalebi here which was extremely luscious and the fafda and khaman dhokla were delicious too. It's one of the best restaurants to have Gujarati snacks in Ahmedabad. I'm pretty sure that once you visit this restaurant you'll have an irresistible temptation to visit it again.

Really bad experience. First of all the rates are way too high, damm expensive. The taste is okayish We had to sit on jugaad stage to eat the food. They did not even provide bowls to have kadhi properly. Check photo for the situation. Staff is also really rude.

Oshwal is a very old restaurant of the city mostly famous for its Gujarati food items like Fafda, Dhokla & Jalebi. It is located in the heart of the city on Ashram Road near Income Tax Office. When I entered into the restaurant the ordinary furniture & interior (in fact there was nothing in the name of interior) grabbed my attention and made me think whether my decision of visiting this old restaurant was correct or not; however, the taste of food did not disappoint me. But remember, the price of each food item is little bit higher as compare to the service and ambience you get here. The cleanliness and service are the area where improvement is required just to match atleast the level of the restaurant's pricing. If you have eaten jalebi of Jodhpur, then Jalebi of this restaurant is nothing infront of it. Parking: Pay and park facility managed by AMC is available just infront of the restaurant (No free parking is available around).

The food is very basic. The taste is very common, I personally did not find anything unique. The place is hyped because it is an old food joint and they have maintained the taste. People visit here with family. We ate fafda, aloo Puri, jalebi and everything was nice.

So far best FAFDA I had in my life. They serve fafda with sweet kadi. Packing of fafda was best. 100% recommend place in Ahmedabad for FAFDA.

A very nice place to have breakfast and snacks. It’s mainly marked for South Indian food. But they have a wide variety of North Indian snacks. Jalebi and Fafada are their signature items and they have this laliva kachori that you should try out. If you come to Ahmedabad, this is one of the must try places to have food.

This place had an authentic gujarati breakfast. Had visited after a heartbreaking worldcup loss. The food was so good. Jalebi fafda was the best. Tea was very very good. We also had the methi gotha. Quality of food is good he famous for fapda and jalebi . Cost of this 2 items are little costly ,.but every time you get fresh items . Fapda serve with papya sambhara and kadhi . Jalebi and fapda both are crunchy . He offer extra kadhi and chutney freely. Staff is also friendly.

When you crave for jalebi this is the best place to visit. Crispy yet melting in mouth jalebis. Amazing fafda. However a little over pricey. Costed one plate of jalebi (4 pcs) and a plate of fafda 220 rs. A masala dose costs 250 rs and tea costs 70 rs. I would rather have it at an authentic South Indian restaurant charging over 100 rs.

Food was tasty and service was also good

As it was our first taste of gujju food, we don't have a benchmark. There's a wait to get a table, things happen super fast, your order doesn't take more than 5 minutes. Wish we had someone explain each dish to us. Unfortunately all the chachas were busy servicing the croud.

I visited Oshwal in Ahmedabad, and my experience left me with mixed feelings. While the food was undoubtedly delicious, I found the pricing to be on the higher side. Additionally, the ambience and service were average at best. While the staff was polite, the service could definitely be improved to match the level of the restaurant's pricing.

Giving two star less because of owner / cashier shouting to waiters , cook and his team very very loud . Imagine it was in early morning breakfast for us at ashram road “Oshwal “ branch . Every hostel/pg vala is always in a misery during or after Diwali as thats the period when either the cook has gone during Diwali to his hometown or post diwali he is yet to come, that's when we pgkar don't have a choice but to indulge in some tasty yet affordable breakfast, lunch and dinner. So being in misery browsed some places which is well known for its breakfast and came across this place named Oshwal and by seeing the reviews itself you would tempt to go there. Ordered 1 plate Kachori (2 pieces) and 1 plate Jelebi (4 pieces), on the Kachori part though had to wait for 5-10 minutes as it wasn't cooked yet but it was worth it be it for the freshness because it was served hot, bet it for their taste and ofcourse the huge Kachoris can't be missed. Excellent food quality...no assistance for costomers about what is the best dish.. Considering quality little bit expensive. Jalebi fafda was 220₹ inc. gst. For 1 person.

I was told by friends that Jelabi and fafada is like the staple food of Gujarat. Oshwal served some good hot jelabies with a lot of sides to go with. Clean place old school types. The old man who served me was very sweet kept saying eat eat “maaza aayega “ would recommend it if you wanna try some jelabi fafada.
