According to the hubbert curve, anything will rise, reach its peak and ultimately will have its downfall. Moti Mahal is in downfall. We went in to dine, the concierge was little bit bias towards us god knows why. The table had yellow blotches on it, the service has gone to the dogs. The food somewhat less disappointed us than the ambience. The prices they charge aren't equivalent at all to the things they provide. In short, I will not recommend this past-famous hotel to anyone.

Too much attitude and pride, other people are hungry that they were taking that attitude. We politely asked, how much waiting time, the answer is How can I say how much time they will take to eat and you can leave if you want. People say food is awesome, sorry but it’s good but any better than that. If you want to pay and get insulted, the right place to be. Anyways they said they don’t care, hope people stop taking their attitude and they might understand they are god.

Over exaggerated tasty rumours got me here. The taste is decent, nothing extraordinary.. Very nice looking hotel but extremely dirty washrooms.. felt like a city and a chawl all in one..

I 10 Sep. Visiting this hotel for the first time on , ordered chicken biryani but very less quantity, and asked for plain rice as it was too spicy, first said no, then asked to pay 65/- for one dish, I said yes. , then came to say that 100/-, I canceled the order, The behavior of the waiter is not good with the customers, what is wrong with the management.

I ate at the restaurant and the food was beyond fabulous. Super tasty and really amazing. Veg and non veg both. However if you have a problem with veg and non veg being cooked at the same place then this is not the restaurant for you. Otherwise I will highly recommended this restaurant. This is not the chain of Moti Mahal but a standalone restaurant serving delicious food. Not to be missed

This place was recommended to me by my friends for its nice non-vegetarian menu. The food is not too good but good. The service here is slow but it's good. We had malai tikka, butter chicken and chicken mughlai with tandoori rotis which was quite good. Papad was the best. The deserts were too expensive but it was good.

It has all types of menu but personally my favorite Is BUTTER CHICKEN with bone. I usually come here to eat this dish only along with naan and masala papad and cold drink. They have both normal and AC sitting. Taste is fabulous here for curry. But for tandoori chicken it's okay but not up to the mark. Rest curries are love.

Old Heritage hotel and restaurant operating 24 hours in ahmedabad in one of the busiest areas just opp to the central railway station. They serve a variety of traditional Muslim and local delicacies likes bun maska, paaya soup, omelette, egg curry etc. Moti Mahal is known for its taste and stands tall since years for the same reason.

I have always loved the biryanis here. Biryanis are supposed to have a fine balance in providing aroma and flavour of spices without having to ingest them actually. Moti mahal biryanis are just that. In most other, even famous places, we feel that we are having the spices in the biryanis which make them very hot too. The portion size is decent for a single or two persons.

So finally i tried Mutton biryani today and here is my feedback Selling masala rice in the name of Biryani Too costly 80rs for caramel custard, are you serious?

We tried butter Chicken, chicken mughlai,and this chicken crispy in started.it was very crispy and amazing and their kunafa is 3.5 out of 5 .over all experience was great. we were traveling and they gave us some space on ground floor to keep our league bags .they are slightly expensive bt it was worth it❣️

It is an over hyped restaurant . I ordered Mutton Rogan Josh , Tandoori Roti and plain Rice , today afternoon on 31 December , 2022 . Mutton Rogan josh tasted like anything but Mutton Rogan josh . Does Rogan josh really have such thick gravy and bland spices ? Tandoori Roti was not crispy . Rice was half cooked . Ambience is average . Staff are casual . Manager is indifferent . Worst restaurant . Wastage of time and money . Not recommended at all !

Pathetic room service.. They don't clean the washrooms nor change the bedsheets. Too expensive rooms.. Cockroach everywhere and no cleanliness.. When we talk about their restaurant, they are least bothered about providing a decent washroom to their customers. I would never recommend them to anyone.

It's nice place! If you ever go to moti mahal then try 'matan tikka masala' - price is 265 but it's delicious 😍. indeed this is the best dish in my opinion, you will love this. Overall service is normal. The table size is quite small for 4 person, they have to improve it.

I went with my family for lunch we ordered items of chicken and mutton both but we received all order not as prescribed by us this was very very disappointing for us even after that they charged us with same price which was not for chicken also no apology was made for their such mistakes this was disgusting also no taste was found in any of the dishes. I remember when my father took me first time in this hotel when I was 12 years old and we use to visit this hotel on regular intervals but now it don't have any quality food in any way.

I had breakfast and dinner at this place during my one day visit to Ahmedabad for a friends wedding ceremony. The food was very delicious and budget friendly. The overall service was really good along with a decent ambience. It isnt a posh dine in hotel, just a normal restaurant where you can get decent good quality food at good price. They are available on swiggy, zomato and other food delivery platforms as well. It also has a hotel but i disnt use the hotel service, used only the restaurant service.

Had breakfast and dinner Breakfast 2 eggs omlette fried with no bread : 90 Rs, which would cost hardly 30 along with 2 bread slices at most of the places. In dinner had crispy fried chicken which was actually fried 1/2 kg sliced fried cabbage with 5 small pieces of chicken. Initially I couldn't even recognise that it is fried chicken. To increase size and decrease chicken they put 1/2 kg sliced cabbage in 4-5 small slices of chicken. The handi gosht which was supposed to have 3 mutton pieces had only 2 pieces with some titbits broken from other pieces. Awful food at exorbitant rates.

I was searching for ac restaurant and came across this moti mahal. From outside it looked good but food was pathetic. Order schezwan fried rice which did look like pulao. Asked for extra shezwan first he denied then he bought which did not look like shezwan and on tasting it was terrible bad like rotten felt like puking

It was quite DISAPPOINTING , as i heard a lot about this restaurant , but the food was a let down . The Butter Chicken was just average , and chicken gravy which was suggested by the waiter was just to forget & so was the biryani. Only the dish which was Excellent was FOIL CHICKEN TANDOORI .

I visited restaurant on 9th September 2023,I ordered Chicken tikka. The worst chicken tikka I have ever had. Another order chicken fried rice worth around 250 and quantity was less. I had been here so many times but after 5-7 years This experience was pathetic and Not recommended at all.

Since last 20 years I am a fan of Chicken Biryani served at this place. I use to finish the biryani in less than 05 minutes. However, since past three times it just doesn't tastes the same. Either the chef has changed or they have changed the ingredients. The biryani was always in my check list whenever I visited Ahmedabad but unfortunately now it won't be. It's sad that a taste which could have become the face of biryani in Ahmedabad has lost its relevance.

I had placed top valued product menu which was Tandoori Platter. It was not as expected and the chicken taste was below expectation. Only one from 4 was soft chicken. Else do not go for it.

Very old and famous landmark restaurant and bakery located near Kalupur railway station. Wide range of Bakery items available. Also you can enjoy some quick snacks items served to eat at bakery. No seating place at bakery outlet. Restaurant has seating arrangement where both veg and non veg items available. Breakfast has limited varieties like paratha, muska bun. Quality and taste ofvfood is awesome. You must try TEA which is very good. Overall price is average.

We ordered hakka noodles and biryani but taste was really bad...noodles were really dry plus biryani was not at all like actually biryani tastes it was more like simple rice and dry chicken. Taste could be more better..expectations were really high.

It's great place, you should boost sugar level with YUMMY, SPICY, FOOD, once you in Ahmedabad. Love chiken crispy, and never forget to start your breakfast without Nulli nihari, PAYA and keema, and it's incomplete without their desserts.

Usually the visit to Ahmedabad is a short one. Mainly a day where we are returning back by evening. Even in a short trip like this we try and have food at Moti Mahal. As always the experience here is a pleasure. The food is mouth watering. Service is average but then you visit here for the food, if you want 5 star service one can visit the Taj or Oberoi..😉 We ordered sweet corn chicken soup which was average. Then Rashmi kebab which was succulent. Butter chicken and kashmiri chicken were also tasty. I highly recommend Moti Mahal to folks when they are in Ahmedabad for Mughlai food.

The food quality is good. But the rate difference between their AC non AC restaurant is too much. For example: Chicken biryani AC restaurant: 290 Chicken biryani non AC : 150 Mutton biryani AC restaurant: 320 Mutton biryani non AC : 170 So they are charging almost 100% more in their AC restaurant which is too much... 20-30% more is justified for better ambience...

We have been here many times for both breakfast and dinner.Meat dishes are always perfectly cooked, the menu has lots of variety.It’s popular so be prepared to wait if you come later than 7:00 PM for Dinner.

Dirty table, Hairs in salad, no freshness in chicken as chicken was hard...even their butter chicken was worst..... Overall very worst experience. Please don't follow youtubers experiences.... Not expected these all things from hotel with more than 100 years of reputation.

Please avoid to have lunch dinner in ac rooms, very costly, very few quantity, quality was average. In 350rs. mutton dish, you will have 3 pcs with bone. Not so much special. They are loosing their customers.
