Sabarmati Riverfront is definitely a go-to place. Lot of activities available like speed boating, yachts, kids boating area. Water scooter, cycling, Boat rides, and good restaurants. Best time to visit is early morning or evening after 7 pm. Currently some areas are restricted for general people. During Evening city lights makes this place worth spending time. However it is not wheelchair friendly. Someone should definitely think about it..

It's our regular hangout place. It's better to drive here through 2 wheelers instead of a car. Police may get you a penalty ticket if you park outside around the road. You can walk around a bit at night time. You can jog or excercise in the morning and you can ride a bicycle as well. You may wanna try sitting at a quite and peaceful place instead of crowded place. A lot people come here with their families and their partners too.

It's a calm and peaceful place to hang out alone, or with friends or family. Children can enjoy skating, cycling, walking. It's beautiful during night time to look at the buildings on the other end and the view of Atal Bridge. You can picnic out here or sit and enjoy reading a book on the weekends. The Riverfront is a big stretch. Their are stairs to go down to the river front and enjoy the view.

Kudos to AUDA for the development they have done. Amazing work done. Looks like you are in a new country. Also the people of Ahemdabad are too kind, helpful and jolly who supported the system in keeping this place and setting a benchmark. Delhi should also work on such things and make masterpieces in Delhi also. Online tickets are available and parking is free. Please note free parking as there are people asking money for the parking and running a scam.

The riverfront on Sabarmati River has given new identity to Ahmedabad. The Riverfront has quickly become popular hangout destination for Amdavadis. I lived in Ahmedabad from 1979 to 1994 before moving to US. But, today’s Ahmedabad is completely different and has transformed into one of the best cities in India. The major credit goes to Sabarmati Riverfront. Since, there are not many public parks in the city, the Riverfront has become major attraction both for locals and tourists. To my surprise, the gardens were well maintained and reasonably clean. The Atal walking bridge is part of the whole riverfront project and connects the East and West of Sabarmati Riverfront. The colorful walking bridge is like a tail of the kite (kite flying is very popular here). You can view the beautiful river and city lighting from the bridge and relax on the benches (if you find a place). The negative side of the place is that it is too crowded to sit and relax. It is hard to take pictures without photobombing. The place could have been much cleaner. Everything looked dusty. If you are in Ahmedabad, it is recommended to visit in the evening time.

Very nice Place to visit With Friends and Family.  the Ahmedabad Flower Show has become one more unique attraction of the city people look for. This annual event was started in 2013 with an aim to make people aware of horticulture, nature, and environment. Citizens are educated on the subjects like how to do roof top gardening, prepare garden in office, net house, kitchen gardening etc. Must visit the 2024 New Year celebration.

The centrepiece of the Riverfront would have to be its two-level promenade. It provides an uninterrupted walkway for pedestrians that is a whopping 11.4 km long. The lower level of the promenade, which is accessible to the public at present, is close to the water level and is constructed in a way that serves cyclists and pedestrians alike, at the same time providing adequate access to water. It also has a large number of amenities that include but are not limited to elevator access, regular seating arrangements for the public, public washrooms, boating facilities and a total of 31 Ghats constructed at regular intervals to ensure the smooth continuation of all traditional cultural activities involving the Sabarmati.

Sabarmati riverfront is very good riverfront in the Gujarat and it is known for boating, gaming zone, food zone and for fun in the Gujarat. So far I know you get a cycle on rent if you wish to spend time here. Also it's close to Patang Hotel which apparently is just for landmark to reach this location. Very fine structure is made in the riverfront. But nowadays it not maintained properly and got dirty with plastics and many dirty things. It is very big riverfront and also you can enjoy your holiday here with your family and the friends. Riverfront contains quite good parking area. On the Sunday it is full with people. You should visit at least for one time.

One of the best visiting places in Ahmedabad is the Sabarmati River Front. I literally spent hours sitting by the river, feeling the mild breeze and enjoying the sunset. They made a park also. Which wasn't the centre of attraction for me. Rather, I enjoyed the sitting area and the walking/running path made around the river. Many people go for morning/evening walks as I sat there and saw. A place for good vibes indeed.

I love this place most. ❤❤ Early morning is the best option here to get this view. At here you also see the sunshine and sunrise view like this. The beautiful atal bridge, picturesque gardens and a long shining riverfront to spend time with loved ones. The beautiful ahemdabad city view increases its charm especially at night with all the lights. Its also a great place for the locals to jog. Tickets have to be bought for atal bridge and the gardens. Great visit.

Hey everyone, Sabarmati riverfront is one of the best place in ahmedabad. You can go there by early morning or else in the evening. This place is more happening in weekends. In riverfront you can do cycling, skating, hangout with family and friends. Sharing two clicks of mine. For me morning is the best time to visit the riverfront. Soothing view you will have. So, go and relax yourself 🙂👍

This is a beautiful place built in by the Government of Gujarat for public. Many people visit here for walking and also to refresh themselves. This location is full of nature and the evening view is awesome here. Prior spread of CORONA, this place use to remain open for entire day but due to government restrictions, now it remains open for 9 PM only. It has a nice road beside it where one may travel from Khodiyarnagar, Ahmedabad to Shahibaugh, Ahmedabad. The post important thing about the place is that it doesn't have any ticket as of now. It surrounded by different gardens which has a ticket but riverfront doesn't have any cost or entry fee.

Such a wonderful place. Calm and serene. The riverfront sides have cycle rental facilities which seemed a bit costly. However its worth it. The view of atal bridge from the riverfront is so good. I have lot of good memories in this place.

The riverfront is nice but the accessibility is a bit hectic. If an old person wants to visit the place there are no amenities one has to walk a long distance. There is a facility of using bikes. But what's the point if one has to return the same place after the ride.it would have been better if the bike points have a linkage from one to others . There's a boat rides too which follows the same facility as bikes.Overall its nice place to visit but when one has spent so much on the development of waterfront. Its better to overlook the accessibility in the development too.

Just concrete and water in river. Poor maintenance. Full of beggars and homeless. Could have been cleaner. With a cycle or jogging track, plants and flowers all around, it could have become a place of attraction rather than fake publicity only. One can walk around but it is too much like walking between walls and water. Entry to riverfront in itself is quite cumbersome. One has to cross roads full of heavy traffic to reach the place.

During my visit to Ahmedabad in Gujarat, I have visited to ‘Sabarmati Riverfront’. Sabarmati Riverfront is a waterfront being developed along the banks of Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad. It is an excellent creation of Ahmedabad with 11 km of walk-way along the banks of Sabarmati River. There is a big flower park, which is a wonderful attraction of this place. It is best to see it in daylight as well as twilight of the evening. Here we can take bike on hire which is an enjoyable activity. ‘Sabarmati Riverfront’ is one of the happening places in the town; it has developed into a major attraction. The place holds various markets, events, competitions, morning walks, cycling tracks and food stations. With easy accessibility, the place has been the most preferred one amongst locals. When you are in Ahmedabad, it is worth to give a visit even to just relax. It provides a good view of Sabarmati River and Nehru Bridge.

It was quite a nice place to visit while you're in Ahmedabad, I went there on Saturday evening and found it extremely crowded, may be it's because of weekend, but it was huge crowd. It has multiple food outlets inside the premises, so that you can have quick bites while sitting beside of the river. It has great tracks around where you can walk, do cycling and sit with your companions. Lights over the bridge were amazing. Mostly local people visit this place only. But if you're visiting Ahmedabad you can pay a visit to this place when it's dark, because that's when you can see the lights only. Despite of being a great place and lights ambience wasn't so good. At this point you'll see how the river is being maintained so pretty well and clean. There was no supporting staff at all. One more interesting this there, it is Flower Garden right at the entrance of premises and that's literally beautiful. Overall it was nice place if you want to hangout either alone or with some company.

At a distance of 4 km from Ahmedabad Junction, Sabarmati Riverfront is a waterfront developed along the banks of Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad. It is one of the beautiful places to visit in Ahmedabad. Sabarmati Riverfront is a project undertaken by Gujarat Government in order to preserve the river and promote tourism. Even though the project was proposed in 1960s, the construction was began in 2005. Since 2012, the waterfront is gradually opened to public with various facilities. The prime agendas of this project include environment improvement, social infrastructure and sustainable development. The main feature of this 11 km long riverfront project is a two-level promenade situated on both sides of the river where the lower level serves only pedestrians and cyclists while the upper level is capable of hosting numerous cultural and educational events, leisure activities, large public parks and plazas and a few areas for commercial and retail development. This is an ideal spot to enjoy picnic with family. It consists of a magnificent walkway over the River Sabarmati. Boat Riding & Evening Walks are the prime activities here. The entire riverfront offers a panoramic view of the city's landscape. Every year in the month of January, the Sabarmati riverfront is decorated to celebrate the International kite festival. Timings: 9 AM to 9 PM Entry: Rs. 10 for Adults & Rs. 5 for Children Boating: Rs. 20 for Person for Motor Boat, Rs. 100 for Person for Speed ⛵🚢

Nice place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The walkaway is very well maintained. Has provisions of cycling on the walkway . But the places to get cycles are far away. Felt bad to see how people have thrown garbage in the river. But overall a good place to take rest and calm down

As usual it's great to visit this place, there are different entrance to go down to see river. Some areas are crowded and some are very peaceful. Cycling ( my byk) is available at riverfront, you just have to find it that where it is located because at different locations it is located. One is under bridge and one is at open area. You can rent it cycle by giving your I'd proof and they are having their timings for that so just go through it. People are used to go there for walking, jogging 👟 Near Elis bridge there is roof top cafe at riverfront just next to sabarmati river and boating is also available there. Restroom is als available. What I don't like is visiters are not maintaining cleanliness so that's very bad otherwise it's so good to visit.

The Riverfront has adopted the process of cleaning the River by using Floating Trash Skimmer Machine. The Skimmer Machine is able to gather the waste that is floating and is on shallow depths. Today, the River has been cleaned and the ecosystem has plunged back to greenery and varied species of migratory birds. SRFDCL is testing the quality of water and the level of oxygen in the water to improve the marine Biodiversity. The substantial level of Dissolved Oxygen is maintained in the water

✍🏻The Sabarmati river is a monsoon-fed river which has a total catchment area of 21,674 square kilometres (8,368 sq mi). The Dharoi Dam constructed in 1976 upstream of Ahmedabad controls water and protects from flooding while Vasna Barrage constructed in 1976 downstream retains water in the river along the city banks and diverts it through Fatehwadi canal for irrigation. The Narmada Canal, which crosses Sabarmati a few kilometres upstream from the city, is part of a larger canal network of Sardar Sarovar Dam. The canal can feed excess water to the river and maintains the level of water in the river which is retained through Vasna Barrage. The Sabarmati Ashram will be also connected to lower promenade and existing steps will be developed as an amphitheater. The 3.3 ha Heritage Plaza along the city walls between Ellis Bridge and Nehru Bridge will be designed as open space showcasing heritage, history and culture of the city. Some sports complexes are also proposed. Thank You 🙏🏻

If you are new to this city then probably you will find difficulty in car and bike but this place is fully equipped with multistorey car and bike parking exactly opposite to this park entry and from this parking you can directly enter into the park premises from the first floor. Outside eatables are allowed and food served on this site probably you may not like it and so suggestions take it from outside.

The Sabarmati Riverfront, a splendid 11km concrete promenade, offers a captivating view of the Sabarmati River. Its daytime ambiance is a harmonious blend of Brutalist and Modernist architecture, punctuated by the verdant greenery of Neem trees, adding a touch of nature to the urban landscape. During weekdays, the Riverfront is typically less crowded, making it an ideal spot for tranquil walks or leisure activities. The weekends attract more visitors, yet the expansive space ensures there's room for everyone. With no entry fee, it serves as a perfect weekend retreat for families. The Riverfront stretches across various localities, some of which may not be safe at certain times. Therefore, if you plan to explore the entire length of the Riverfront, either on foot or by bicycle, it's advisable to do so in the company of others. The atmosphere here is positively vibrant, particularly during winter mornings. It's a sight to behold as the cityscape is bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun. I highly recommend a visit to the Sabarmati Riverfront for anyone seeking to experience this beautiful spectacle.

Sabarmati Riverfront is a waterfront being developed along the banks of Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad, India. Proposed in the 1960s, the construction began in 2005. Since 2012, the waterfront is gradually opened to public as and when facilities are constructed and various facilities are actively under construction. The major objectives of project are environment improvement, social infrastructure and sustainable development. This is a small visit of riverfront after lockdown. One of the best place in Ahmedabad you must have visit there once. Evening visit of this place is so enjoyable and glorious

Really good project done by the AMC but it lacks couple of things; 1. Proper allocation of public toilets on the premises. 2. Improper and insufficient parking facilities. 3. Allocation of dustbins doesn’t cover the entire premises. Other than that, it’s a pleasant place to have a good time with your loved ones and family. Plenty of open space to do outdoor activities and garden space to set in and spend some quality times with your family and friends. Some part of it is very clean and well maintained and some of it is not but that’s the side effect of government run facility. Anyways Sabarmati riverfront is a must visit place to if you are in Ahmedabad and have the full experience of the river side facility developed by the government. There are couple of activities you can do on riverfront like cycling, speedboat, etc. If you don’t wanna spend any money than you can just walk and enjoy the atmosphere. 😇

It looked like beautiful place to hangout ... Very clean ... Although water didn't looked very clean but there is hardly any river left which is clean so I will let that one go. I think something more beautiful can be done on the riverfront. It is a long riverfront and best place to hangout.

A very nice place to go for morning walk and cycling. Its a walkway pedestrian of more than 10km in length along the Sabarmati River. Its also having a large number of amenities which includes elevator access, seating arrangement, public washroom, boating facilities and several Ghats to conduct traditional cultural activities around the Sabarmati River It would be a awesome place if more trees could be planted along side the pedestrian.

The Sabarmati Riverfront has been gaining some momentum as a tourist spot for the last few years and is one of the major locations to visit if you find yourself in Ahmedabad. Now, it's not like a riverfront can just appear out of thin air, right? Sabarmati has always had a riverfront. But it was only recently that it started getting converted into something more accessible to the public. Rather, it was only recently that it was converted to a place that the public would want to access. The development of the riverfront is only a recently undertaken project, with only some parts being open to the people. But its limited nature could not stop it from being the go-to place for residents and tourists alike.

Sabarmati riverfront is just beautiful. Good place to hangout with friends, morning walk, jogging and cycling. Each riverfront is good for viewing sunrise and sunset. River water is cleaned regularly. There are options to eat also.

Great for walk...... Me and my office colleagues usually go to this place post lunch for a 10 min walk..... You can visit this place for your me time if required. Though the view and everything is great, the water which earlier used to be clean is not that clean anymore. FYI - So far I know you get a cycle on rent if you wish to spend time here. Also it's close to Patang Hotel which apparently is just for landmark to reach this location.

  • 4/5 Doss P. 2 years ago on Google
The river front is well maintained, clean with manicured gardens. The security team patrols across the river front, so that the common public don't liter the water body. The bridges are illuminated with lights and boat ride are available day and night. One of the best public places across the river bank.

  • 5/5 Gaurang P. 2 years ago on Google
Good place for all age. Fee for visit is 10 rupees which is really nominal. Very well maintained by government. Cell design park, fountain and very spacious. Parking for vehicle is also well design. I must recommand to visit this place at evening.

Sabarmati river has been an integral part in the life of Ahmedabad since the time the city was founded in 1411 along the river banks. Sabarmati Riverfront project has proved to be a major Urban Asset and adds another feather in the cap. Both, the residents of the city and the visiting tourists have the pleasure to visit the below mentioned places.

  • 4/5 Jiji J. 2 years ago on Google
An 11 km walkway built on the east side of the river, this place is still under construction with plans for amphitheater, sports complex, a foot overbridge inspired from the kite festival, gardens and parks, residential and corporate structures. However this place for now is amazing, a walk along the river is amazing, boating along this river is a must do. Overall a very good place to spend time

  • 4/5 Danesh R. 2 years ago on Google
Agood place to spend time in the evenings. The place is clean and the reflection of the buildings in the water is a great view. Every bridge over the Sabarmati river is adorned with lights. There are places to park cars and then walk down to the riverfront.

  • 5/5 Poonam P. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing place.... Be it for morning walks or evening, this place has different looks... don't miss out both. You can enjoy the boating ride of 40 mins and enjoy the view of sabarmati river. Spend time on the riverbank with some finger food and make it a romantic evening. It's a must visit place if you are in Ahmedabad.

Visit this location if you're in Ahmedabad; the lake there is a visual treat in the centre of the city. It's an excellent location if you want to go for a long walk or attempt some water sports like riding a boat. Mexicano by the Bay is another eatery in the area. When I visited this location, the atmosphere was serene and I liked the view.

Soothing place for morning and evening walk and cycling as well. Slow breeze on ur face will feel like earth 🌍 wants to touch you😅... If you have a good companion then there is no words to explain the moment 🥰. You can also visit the near by places.

It was most beautiful sight in the night. It looked so calm and quite. The view was very soothing and amazing. The area was very clean and hygienic. The riverfront offers a very scenic view of the city skyline. I wish I could spent more time on the riverside. I am sure the riverfront will be even better during the day.

Excellent Place In Ahmedabad. But i miss the night view of this place. A excellent photography place. But main disadvantage is you can't take photo on flower garden just beside it. Better buy ticket only for bridge. Thanks to modi ji for this wonderful place.

Best place to relax and meditate( by looking at water, lights, sky) Visit late in the evening for seeing light effects. You can hire bicycles. It's 8 km on each side of the Sabarmati river.

When I first saw it, I was gadzooked by the sheer cleanliness and maintenance of the Sabarmati riverfront...no different, say to what you might experience at the Thames riverside in London or any other significant river side city! Kudos to the municipality for maintaining such an awesome site...the Atal bridge is the icing on the cake along with the flower park...at night the bridge is a sight to behold! Don't miss it if in Ahmedabad!!

Truly scenic place where you cam relax, take a walk, or ride a bicycle. Recommended to visit during evening time when you can see all the skyline of the Ahemdabad city. Its very clean. Good place to visit.

It’s a nice bridge, and I would imagine it to be a perfect place to take pictures for any special occasion. However, I did not feel it to be so nice as to charge people for simply crossing the bridge itself, reducing its functionalism and increasing its tourism. It was however a nice bridge with many shapes and curves. If you’re in the area, go and take some nice pictures but I felt no need to take a special trip just to see it.
