So we visited this place Madhavrao and our experience was very good. The staff was very good and polite. The ambience was very good too. We had ordered the below items: Kothimbir Wadi Price 215 It was soft and average but could have been better. Misal Pav Price 295 It was average misal pav. Because I had tasted the Misal Pav in Maharashtra originally and it was not authentic one here. I had expected a better from this one. Goan Xitachi Bhakari Price 235 It was also normal and regular taste. Zunka Bhakari Price 375 This was superb and mind-blowing. Must try. Malpua Rabdi Price 215 This was very good sweet. Dhungaredi Chaas Price. 150 This was good but very much costly! I will try them again.

Interiors takes back to traditional Maharashtrian culture. You will see owner and family photos. Chairs and dinning table are traditional wooden gives you homely feeling. Food menu is limited which loved it. We tried over six dishes all were too yummy. Junka Bhakri, Bajri Khichidi, Sabudana Vada, Pav Bhaji, Gatte Ki Sabji and Satpadi Roti. Staff were too quick and polite.

This is one out of the box place to be at for excellent food and service. Very less places in Ahmedabad specifically offer the cuisine that they do. Maharashtrian food is pretty good and worth trying. The ambience of restaurant is very relaxing. The service is really quick and you don't have to wait long for your food to arrive. A must visit place.

Always the same taste and service. Every time we visit here, the service standards are the same and maintained. The food is light on the stomach and the pocket. Love their goan xitachi bakhri. The ambience is minimalist and so chic. Go to place whenever we want to have something different than North Indian food or the regular fast food.

Wah Wah - what a nice place to enjoy some great food. There was a large group of us so I was able to try many dishes as you can see from the pictures. From the menu to the ambiance, this is unique restaurant and well worth the visit. The menu showcases items that are not always found in today's dining options - traditional, non-traditional, but overall very good. The staff is very attentive and prompt. Their Puran Poli's are amazing. I had Zunka Bhakri for the first time and loved it. I need to learn to make this at home - very tasty and healthy. This is a place where everyone will find something to eat and enjoy.

This place is such a treat for gujarati maharashtrian food lovers. Carefully curated all the fusion dishes out of which misal pav was the best of all. The quantity and quality was good with respect to the cost being charged. I had a couple of dishes like - 1. Almond ragi broth 2. Kothambir wadi 3. Masala dosa 4. Misal pav 5. Sev puri 6. Gatta sabji with jowar roti 7. Malpuda with rabdi 8. Puranpoli Lastly they served mukwas which seemed like a crushed fennel seeds and sugar. Must visit once!

It is a Maharashtrian style high end restaurant in which you can find multiple varieties of typical Maharashtrian and Goan food. Ambience and style of restaurant is heritage type. Service of staff is also very good. Taste is also somewhat different from other restaurants. Must try if you want to taste something interesting.

Belonging to North India, I particularly prefer spicy food which is not the case here. The restaurant was suggested to me by someone but as per my personal taste it was not a wonder. People who love less spicy food will like it. Ambiance was nice and staff are good. Valet parking available. Cards and UPI accepted here.

The food tastes great. Loved their zunka bhakri. Misal pav was good but wont say it was great. It was the best i've had in Gujarat but have had better in Maharashtra. Kothimbir vadi was really good. The presentation is good. Beautiful traditional cutlery.

Madhavrao is a restaurant serving Maharashtrian and Gujarati cuisine in Ahmedabad. It is located in Prahlad Nagar, and has a distinctive look and feel, with carved wooden cabinets, colonial-style dining chairs, and brick-clad walls. The restaurant also has a number of antiques and artifacts, which add to its charm. The menu at Madhavrao is extensive, and includes a variety of dishes, from traditional Maharashtrian fare, such as Vada Pav and Dal Batti, to more modern dishes, such as Pav Bhaji and Biryani. The food is generally well-prepared, and the portions are large. The service is also good, and the staff are always happy to help you choose the right dishes. Overall, Madhavrao is a great place to go for a meal if you're looking for authentic Maharashtrian and Gujarati cuisine. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is unique and charming.

Absolutely an amazing place for Maharashtrian cuisine. Very good food and service. I love their brass cutlery collection. I hope they work more on desserts, they were just below average. But the food was great overall.

Excellent restaurant is my first reaction. Although it is little expensive, you get some unique dishes here, with a mouth watering taste. The shrikhand puri suki bhaji dish is one example. I was surprised to find that you also get good tasty dosa here. Thus, it is a premium quality restaurant for all ages.

A must visit place for some authentic gujarat and rajasthani cuisine. It serves a lot of varieties of chaat, snacks, thalis, authentic gujju sweets, south indian and much more. All the necessary measures like sanitization, temperature check was done before we entered and a lot of extra case was also taken. Overall a very good experience and a must visit if you havent yet

must try dish 'kothimbir vadi' must go for Marathi food, especially Misal pav, malpua, kolhapuri biryani, smoked buttermilk and Aloo/batata vada(I forgot that dish name). And the main thing is not to wait for long time for your order. Genuine and good staff - 5/5 stars for staff's nature.

Madhav Rao! Over 20 visits and I can't wait for 20 more! They keep it simple: small menu, BIG flavors. Every dish? Boom! So good! Why review now? Beats me, but it's my #1 Ahmedabad fav. Don't miss the line - it inspires everyone: "THE OWNER ALSO EATS HERE!" No fancy stuff, just pure deliciousness. Go, eat, love! You won't regret it!

If you wish to feel special, enjoy a meal at some place with an old-fashioned feel, have authentic marathi, konkani cuisine and all of this in Ahmedabad, then Madhavrao is the place to be. Must try delicacies - Kolhapuri Biryani, Goanzitachi bhakhari, Shrikhand (exceptionally amazing), rabdi-malpua. The only reason why I have taken away one star is their parking. Unreasonably high charge of parking if u park for more than an hour. I mean guests having a meal should not be charged 50 bucks for parking. That is a bit unfair and expensive. Do something about it plz.

Madhavrao, as the name suggests is a resturant with a Maharahstrian charm. It has an aesthetic sense of its own nowhere to be found. Although I might not say the same when it comes to food. Jhunka bhakri is one of the patent dishes in every Marathi household. But I was surprised that they didn't even come close to it. Same goes with Misal pav. However, Vada Pav was an exception. It was that pure, old, authentic vada, now-a-days rarely found on the streets of Mumbai. But what surprised me and was definitely a breather was Mohanthal with icecream. It was exceptional and sort of jugad only amdavadi's can come with. One of try for those who want to explore Ahmedabad in their own sweet way.

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. Retro brick decor, classic furniture, rustic servingware, ambiance spruced up with ceramic potteries, heirlooms, and chandeliers make an enjoyable, unique and traditional Maharashtrian experience. And the choicest menu is the cherry on the top!

One of the best fine dining place in ahmedabad.. I accidentally visited as my daughter from US sent us gift dining coupon for this place and was really impressed with ambience , food quality and the way they present the food and ofcourse service !! I will recommend this to everyone to get unique menu and excellent taste after our meal .. we were full, otherwise we got tempted to eat all the items .. management was very courteous and they did not allowed us to pay for the extra money than the coupon money. Surely visit now regularly taking friends along to give them this experience

It was our 1st visit today, on choti diwaali. Luckily it was quite empty, SO we liked it more. The decor and ambience was very nice. The staff was very courteous and polite. Taste of the food was quite different n unique as we have never tried Marathi cuisine. We are not too fond of spicy food, so we asked them while placing the order to suggest accordingly n keep the taste-mild to the palate. So, it was done accordingly. We wanted to try a dessert too, but er were too full.
