This exhibition needs to be advertised more. It is still open, a good place for kids if they are interested in science. A short visit of ~1 hour could invoke curiosity in kids towards science and what ISRO is doing for the nation and world. Also how they are doing it, they have exhibited in a very simple way. Just a note- take your own mask or you can buy one here at the entrance. No advance booking is needed, it's walk in only.

This is an exhibition that contains lot of knowledge about space exploration for kids. Entry is free, you just need to carry a valid government id card. The journey of India's space exploration effort is outlined across the complex. There are a few models of rockets and launch vehicles, satellites and satellite-components like cameras, spacesuits etc. There is also a model of the solar system and an operative model of various types of satellites moving around the earth. The overall cleanliness of the property and neatness of the exhibition is good. I heard that there is a gift shop to buy a souvenir but it didn't catch my attention or it is not properly displayed - I'm sad that I couldn't get a fridge magnet.

This centre is so informative for everyone . There is demonstration of the satellites and the parts of the rockets . There is theatre also . Also there are many models of the rovers and special thing of this centre is that the cameras that are supplied to space missions are made here. There are so many things to enjoy for example there is weighting machine which shows your weight on different celestial bodies. Also there is demonstration of GAGANYAN mission. I really enjoyed visiting this exhibition centre. You must also visit here .

Nice collection avaialable under one roof. For kids and all age people, it's very nice exhibition to see at least once. Video/Play of Mangalyan and Gaganyan starts after 10am for approximately 10 minutes in ampitheatre at ground floor. It's totally free to visit. Only there is parking issue. Prefer 2 wheeler or Public transport. Program of Satellite launch, opening is too good on 1st floor. Options to take photos. Video shooting not allowed. Prefer week days to visit.

Best place in Ahmedabad to visit for science students, or someone who really has interest in space. By the way if you don't have interest in space than also you will like it. Because they show you how the real satellites look and how they functions. Better than Science City.

Under one roof, you can have a complete idea of the history of India's space exploration programs. Lots of content about satellites, launches, launch vehicles, orbits, panels, etc. 3D theatre is also there for the short video for the same. ISRO staff is there at any time with you to help you explain in our layman's language. They are too kind and easygoing for any kind of questions. There is no entry fees or waiting time. Being a proud Indian - Must visit the place.

Place for kids as well as young one even adults to get to know about solar system.. Contribution of Dr Vikram sarabhai.. India 's various launching vehicles, satellites.. Regarding chandrayaan and Mars mission.. Few spots for kids to take photos.. Movie regarding the same is shown, about 8-10 min.. Entire visit time for a common man would be around 45 min to 1 hrs.. Thanks

Just wow. The exhibit is managed directly by ISRO and the ISRO staff is there to help you explain different exhibits. They are more than happy to answer any questions. The exhibit showcases the complete history of India's space exploration programs with knowledge about satellites, launches, launch vehicles, and orbits using media, working models, live panels, static displays, the 3D theater, and interactive multimedia presentations. This is a must-visit for students and for space/science enthusiasts. It's not crowded even on Sundays and keep ~1.5 to 2 hours to cover it all. Also, no entry fees.

Very nicely organized exhibition centre. PROS. 1. It's free. 2. Very informative. 3. Very cooperative staff. 4. AC is working. 5. There's a free 3d movie show also. 6. It's open on sunday also. But I've few concerns as a tourist. 1.There is no parking space available. its bit difficult to find a parking nearby also. 2. The guides speak in Gujarati . But not all visitors are Gujarati. My kids don't know Gujarati so they were not able to understand anything.

This is a very interesting exhibition center with lots many of the charts, diagrams, models, illustrations, working prototypes, scaled working models, and touch svreen based based models. It includes the history and information. Ideas for school tours, also family tours. Includes an in-house 2D movie theater with a capacity of 50 - 100 where regular shows are shown on the Space history and all. Mask is compulsory as well as you need an ID proof to write in record there for security purposes. You can Google and call their number where they provide you with basic pre-visit details well. It's really enjoyable for hard-core science lovers as well as laymen. A must visit of Ahmedabad.

Very very informative Center for who is having more interest in space sciences. I suggested to the management that 3D movie which telecasted there is in Gujarati language. It is not understandable for the person like me from down south. If it is telecasted with English subtitles, it will be more convenient for many people.

About the location: The kid-friendly exhibition centre in Ahmedabad is the vision of scientist and astronomer Vikram Sarabhai. This sprawling exhibition lies in the middle of the city and encourages children to see the progress of Indian space programmes. A science playground, laboratories, workshop and even a science shop are engaging components of the entire centre. Participatory activities for children make this an interesting addition to any itinerary for Ahmedabad. Brief History: The origin of space related activities dates back to 1966, with the establishment of the Experimental Satellite Communication Earth Station (ESCES), by late Dr Vikram Sarabhai in Ahmedabad. Visiting Hours 9.30am–5.30pm (Mon closed).

The scale models of some satellites and the cameras on board are also exhibited. A short 3d movie about the International space station is very inspiring for both the adults and the young minds. The exhibition serves the purpose of inspiring the school children and also the older young people to generate more interest in astronomy.
