One of the worst experience ever had. Once we reached railway station, from there itself heard negative comments about this hotel from localites/ auto drivers. Since i already booked the room, i neglected those. Hotel receptionist and the manager were very rude on each item. While doing the check out at 9:45am , we requested for 1 hour more, but they didn't allow and wanted us to pay ₹1000 extra for 1 more hour. Most of the rooms in that building are vacant. I could see only one family on that day. Now i realise why no one choose this hotel. About the room and hotel: Room size is adjustable. Don't expect too much. Bad smell in one of the room. Those who have kids, kindly beware, as the bathroom switch boards are broken and wires came out. Some of the Lift button keys are not working. Our room was in 4th floor, we need to get down in 3rd floor and used steps. We already informed this to the manager, but they didn't give proper response at all. Friends, those who are planning to visit, please think twice.

Worst experience of staying at Kalinga Lake View Hotel Ahmedabad. Total Wastage of money and time. I had booked the Royal room on 30 Oct 21 for one night stay on 13 Oct 21 along with my brother. PNR - 00765XXX16. Amount 1572/-.The room includes all facilities except breakfast. We reached at hotel at 5:00pm. After some time we asked the staff to switch on the room AC, but they refused as it would be charged Rs 300/- extra. I spoke to the manager that I had paid for it in booking. After the fruitful struggle of 5 hours, they switched on the AC at around 10:00pm. I don't know how it happened,. Whether it was Hotel fault or Goibigo fault. Now the problem doesn't ends there. In the morning at 5:30am, there was no water in the bathroom. I told the staff about this and their reply was shocking. They told that it will take some time. I had to leave at 7:40 am, so I managed the two buckets of water from outside the room for daily routine work. I left the hotel at 7:40 am and till then there was no water in the bathroom. Moreover the manager also not picked up the phone. I tried many times at all the numbers of hotel mentioned on website, but no response. Now tell me, Is it safe for the women/ family/ business man to stay in such type of hotel? They are saying that it is near to Railway station, but of no use if it fails to provide the basic amenity of water supply. They are mentioning that it is 2/3 star hotel but their services are of ZERO star rating. I strongly recommend everyone reading my review, please don't waste your time and money in this hotel. Staff behaviour is also not good and supportive. Please beware.

The Hotel is property maintain, but do not provided Best Quality bath soap, Shampoo, Hand wash, Air purifier etc. Not ventilated at all. Charging like star hotel.

The photos shown are very old when hotel might have been inaugurated, cleanliness is down graded. Serve breakfast, collect take in your room and eat, hotel does not have its own kitchen or restaurant. Horrible Parking place in Basement of building. Prices like star property. The hotel has the audacity to charge 25 for water which is marked as 20 mrp. It's by court order that no establishment should charge more than mrp for water. Moreover the rooms are dampen and creeping with mould for which they charge 1200 rs. No facilities near the hotel and rude management personnel. Don't go with family ever

Due to overall condition of this place, they have to have to check out and find another hotel on the same day. Makemytrip and hotel staff both didn't even bother to find out the reason. Its an unhygienic place during this pandemic MMT is not supposed to book it. ****Update***** After 3 months, owner woke up and wrote unacceptable comments blaming me. Do u even know the booking ref number which u are responding to? Instead of escaping from your responsibility better, try to improve your property and services.

Rooms were small but the service was very nice. The owner is a very nice and professional person. If rooms available they help you with early check-in and he even considered my extensions for a day with the minimal price. Location is prime. You can get auto Uber and shopping streets nearby.

Booked here at the last minute, keep only as an emergency, no other choice, budget option. I booked for a single night with breakfast. However nothing is served in the room itself, you’ll have to go to the 5th floor for all meals. No kettle or bottled water in the room, no tea/coffee packet, just a single glass and water in a container. There was some slimy green spill near the bed when I checked in with hair on it, clear sign of the lack of cleaning, was too tired to bother with room service for as I’d already called in for water and the light bulb which had gone off (didn’t change the faulty bulb) the container with the toiletries was mad filthy, highly suggest to buy your own small packets from a general store. Small oddly shaped room but fine, easy to adjust with that. I had to check in early, but apparently online booking via Agoda isn’t given a priority even though I’d paid for it. The guy at the counter literally told me to pay 500 extra because only the upgraded room was available, didn’t even ask if I was okay or if I wanted it. After declining, I was waiting because a room would be available in an hour, the MD apparently wants to speak to me because I didn’t call them directly an make a reservation, how is that relevant when I’ve already paid? Only vegetarian food options, sub par taste wise. No outsiders allowed. Also, don’t get in the Rick they call for you, they’ll charge an arm and leg for it. There’s nothing “outstanding” per se, so do look at all budget options before finalising. They don’t confirm your stay if you’re booking via an app that has advertised a cashback (confirmation of stay is required to credit the cashback), do consider that as well. I don’t expect luxury at this price point, but general amenities and hygiene yes, just because it’s not the most expensive room in the hotel doesn’t mean it needs to be disrespectful. Edit: As per the hotel a detailed criticism implies a hidden malicious motive, I think most people reading reviews understand what they are. Yes an early check in was provided but 1. After I declined an upgrade, 2. Because a room was available, I’m pretty sure this is standard procedure in the hotel business and nothing out of the ordinary. As far as food goes, primary issue of going out of your way still remains. I’m pretty sure the pictures attached speak for the hygiene, don’t have to add anything there. I’m very open to platforms having two way reviews, a hotel getting this defensive has to be a major red flag, considering all I did was stay in the room, with no calls to the front desk or any demands, wonder how horrible a quiet and non-troublesome guest can be. It’s sad and low how they think an apparently small amount of money means one has to be okay with low standards thrown at them, PS amount was in 4 digits. When a business goes on about money in your face rather than accepting criticism, you should realise how difficult they’re going to be when an actual issue arises.

We had booked 3 rooms for 1 night there. it was a last moment booking but turned out to be fantastic. They upgraded couple of rooms without any extra charge. All rooms including the not upgraded ones were great. one room had river view and it was fantastic. The breakfast spread was also very good. Entire staff was highly courteous and room service was spot on....

The rooms are way too small, there was no cleanliness in the room, cockroaches were seen inside the room, plus the location is way too slum, i was stuck here by default , else would have never came here. Amazing experience.. it was our first time to visit here we ordered 2 Panjabi thali (take away)and they forget to add bread we reached home and realise bread is missing. ASAP i call and i just said "me nai 2 Panjabi thali li thi" and they recall us in half and Apologies for mistake and manage to make us available bread in amraiwadi like 4-5km away from restaurant... A great bang for the buck hotel with a very warm and friendly staff. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and well sanitized. Very close to the nearby railway station and transit for the same is not an issue even during the early morning hours.

Clean, posh rooms with good facilities at reasonable prices. Helpful staff. The only con is that you have to park in the multi-level parking nearby, which is not convenient.

Not up to the mark..u would get better hotels nearby at the same cost or may be lower cost..they have charged Rs.1500 for triple bed NonAc rooms but that was not much worth as we shifted to ahmedabad inn next day at lower cost n got best hospitality too..

Sarovar is three star properties but I would given them 4 star rating. Lobby and passage need lighting improvement as its gives old and dull feeling. Its no frill hotel nice, clean and maintained. If you get at low price always grab it. For single occupacny and low price you may end up is smaller size room. Breakfast is good but limited spread. Overall good experience. If you compare with international brand like of IHG providing Holiday Inn Express; would prefer Sarovar any given day in terms of service and same quality you get.

Very conjusted, lac of proper ventilation, passage was full of bad smell, badsheets are not changed for a long time which was very dirty. TV not working. No welcome tea even water not available. On the check in we requestd for drinking water they provided but charged for it which was very shameful.

Booked this hotel for almost 12k per night from Make My Trip, whereas it is not even worth 3k. Booked a river facing deluxe room on 2nd March and when I rechecked two days later to book for a further date, the same property was available for 3,700/- for the same room and the same package. They (MMT & Hotel Management) knew that they were exorbitantly overcharging and so they offered non cancellable fare and on MMT there was no option to speak to any executive and when contacted the hotel for cancellation, they blankly refused to listen. Not to mention the poor quality of the rooms, water clogged washroom, curt and rude front office staff. The only silver lining was the restaurent and the staff there. All in all, this property is worth 3-4k per night for a deluxe room with breakfast and they need to seriously improve the standards.

Cheaters. I along with my friend checkin at the hotel agreeing ₹ 4500 incl breakfast. Reception checked as in with out formal documentation by taking rent in advance. In the morning they asked us to pay 1750 for breakfast. All payment was taken in cash without any receipt. Please be cautious if you plan to enter this hotel.

Had a family vacation with a group of 16 and booked 8 books in Hotel one up during second week on Jan 2022. Awesome hospitality and nice rooms for a reasonable price. All the booking was done through whatsapp including advance amount. I am little doubtful till I reached there as Covid wave 3 was on rise. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. All Covid guidelines were followed while check-in and checkout. I would definitely recommend this place for stay.

Hotel location is on road so no problem in finding it. Rooms are not properly cleaned sticky floor, lights not working .

The hotel is good for the price. the rooms are clean and nice. people are nice. I had problem with calling uber and ola , or getting an uber or ola to this location. The "relief road" is infamous in the city for congestion and noone wants to come here. If u are to roam around this area and auto is cool with u, this place is great. But if u wanna ola and uber to go to tex markets and other parts of city - strictly not recommended. All drivers will not accept the ride to pick or drop u to this location.

Stayed there for 3 days. Room was excellent and the Amenities was also very good. Courteous Staffs and Good Service. Did booking through bank transfer. Felt prompt feedback can be provided from Reservation team as it was missing. Also felt food menu is a bit over priced which can also be considered.

My father and sister stayed here on 30th Dec 2022 and checked out on 31st Dec 2022. After a comfortable stay at the hotel and a good breakfast, they reached Bangalore but had left behind several shopping souvenirs in the room. Upon contacting the hotel, they promptly identified all the items and couriered the same to our address with all the items intact in good condition at the earliest. Very impressed with their professionalism and grateful for the time and effort taken to return our items. :)

I stayed here with my family. The room is spacious to accommodate 3 adults. The amenities in the room are quite good. I had the room plan with buffet breakfast. The spread had a lot of options including live counter for Dosa and eggs. Fresh fruits and juice were also present. The hotel was almost occupied during my stay, but the staff was replenishing the items continuously. I really liked the location of the hotel, being quite close to Sabarmati riverfront. One can enjoy an morning or evening walk with the family. I had a good stay.

Ok Ok Hotel for business travelling, but big no for family / leisure trips, they don’t have segregation between smoking and non smoking rooms, rooms get stinky with smell of tobacco. Sometimes kids are fussy while having breakfast, i requested them to take only half glass of milk shake for my daughter to our room, and i was surprised that they rudely denied that, saying its our hotel policy. I haven't seen a hotel anywhere that offers a 12.00 check-in this summer I requested early check-in and 4 am checkout. But he showed that his policy is to check in time at 12;00. Or pay 600 I am also a hotelier to know Hotel Policy It's 24 hours hotel against checking-in time. But they said you can wait for the reception or pay 600 RS, my niece is 2 years old, my sister-in-law is pregnant, and after 10 hours of travel she come to Ahmedabad and wait till noon! It's called hotel management and hotel policy. he said that by the grace of Allah, our hotel is sold out every day. When it comes to dining, I tried their Dhokla and Malpua for dinner, and while it was good, I wouldn't describe it as outstanding. However, it's still a decent option. The brekfast was good too. One of the hotel's standout features is its proximity to a charming park. For early risers like myself, taking a morning stroll in the park is an absolute delight. It's a fantastic way to start the day. I also appreciate the little touches, such as the four delicious cookies they provide when you order tea in your room. It's these small details that make a difference. Considering that this is a three-star hotel, I'm genuinely impressed with the quality they've maintained. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my stay here and would recommend it to others.

This is my second review of this place. Mr Dhananjay from F and B services asks for biased reviews from guests every morning breakfast. Once the reviews are posted, his behavior completely changes during lunch and dinner. The same was brought to the notice of his senior manager, to which his reply was that because Mr Dhananjay has good rating online, nothing can be done. Hence posting this honest feedback. Please look into the matter.

Stayed in the deluxe room very spacious and clean room with view of sabarmati river front. Bed and pillow were very comfortable after a tiring travel day. Nice breakfast and service.Good location

Food was good, we enjoyed good Indian cuisines. House keeping staff Ms. Rani was very polite and cheerful. We were so glad with well-mannered staff Ms. Manisha who was so good while she served us food. Rooms were spacious enough for us. Our stay was pleasant.

Very much confused team regarding room service and reception service. Pathetic resturant service as they were in hurry to close it first at 3PM rather than serving the guests . But room wise it was nice.

After I booked my room from their website, and they took advanced payment from me Send me mail that this price is not correct and increase the price from 10,000 ₹ to 35,000 ₹ I should accept this price or cancel the booking. They are not honest. Very bad experience with this hotel.

1)This hotel is very well located. About 9kms from the airport and just 2kms from Sabarmati Riverfront. Price for a standard room is 4000 + GST 2)The rooms are excellent and come with a living area. Very suitable for couples and families. A locker safe is available to store valuables if needed. 3)The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Had a variety of dishes like Poha, Aloo Parantha, Idly, Dosa, Dhokla, Puri Chole, French toast, multiple salads and fruits. Despite this being Ahmedabad, I must say the dosa and sambar were really good and looked as if they were prepared in a South Indian's home. 4)The only drawback I found here is that the rooms have got only air conditioners and no fans (atleast the room in which I stayed) The hotel staff was polite and their hospitality was very good to ensure we had a pleasant stay

While the hotel needed update especially bathrooms, the location was perfect from Ahmedabad Airport & Railway Station to Business Centers in other side of Riverfront.
