This beautiful temple of The Shree Kala Ramji Temple is located near the Swami Narayan Kalupur Temple in Ahmedabad, so you can easily walk to get there. Visited Feb 2022. I reached here in the afternoon and found the mandir closed, the main kala ramji statue that is. It is open only after 5pm I was told. Maybe in the morning too. Shri Kala Ramji temple is a part of Ahmedabad heritage. This temple is around 700 years old. Statue of lord Ramji is really awesome. The temple is located in inside the pol (Street) area.

Hindu Temple of Lord Ram made up Of black Stones being covered under Ahmedabad Heritage Route. Although honestly when we visited place it was like covered by people & clothes hanged on it.

The Shree Kala Ramji Mandir is unique as Lord Rama's idol is in the sitting posture. It's made with black marble... Both these aspects are rare! The Kala Ramji mandir was adopted by a corporate house for restoration. On a regular basis, detailed assessment & documentation is done by architecture students to ascertain the extent of damage & the preservation needed...

Temple inside area is nice still require to repair to save the heritage temple. Entrance of the main Street to be cleaned and repaired. As authority has declared as Heritage Place I understand they are not taking care of the surrounding area . Must visit the place to see during festival season as the caretaker couple are doing wonderful decoration.

A very old temple of God Ram. The murty of lord Rama is made of black stone so named it kala ram mandir. It is one of the heritage sites of Ahmedabad old city. A beautiful carving. A good place for photography.

This temple situated in the street of Ahmedabad is a must see.

In the corner of Haja Patel in Pol, is the temple of Kala Ramji (Lord Rama) it is a very old temple inside residential neighborhood it is considered unique as the idol of Lord Rama is in a sitting posture caved in a black stone. This idol is often interpreted as the Period of “Vanvas” (exile in the forest) by Lord Rama, Laxman and Sita in the great epic of Ramayana. All the three idols are made out of black stone called \’Kasoti\’, which is used for testing the purity of gold. It is said that the temple was originally built by a pious man named Hariprasad who found the idols buried underneath. The temple is rich example of delicate wood carving and also a central courtyard which is important part of the architecture of Ahmedabad.

It is a home temple dedicy to Lord Ram. The temple houses idol of Lord Ram in Dhyan Mudra. It is indicative of Lord Ram's time in Panchvati forests. Hence, there is no idol of Lord Hanumanji, a must have for all Ram temples. The house in which temple is located is supported by Teakwood pillars and classic example of architecture of old city of Ahemdabad. It is part of Heritage wak sightseeing.

This is grade-1 ,400 old heritage temple of lord Ram. The uniqueness of this temple is that the idol of lord Ram is in the sitting posture made with black marble stone which is rare to find. It is said to be found after digging. Along with kala Ram, Sita and Lakshman are also there in 2 sides. This temple is an important point in 'Heritage walk of Ahmedabad'. Kala Ramji Mandir is a “ Haveli Mandir”, one portion of the building is temple and rest of the area is used for residential purpose. Since the founding of this temple the family of this temple has grown to the current size to 80 people.

Firstly it was not easily found out due to unavailability in Google maps then when I reached close y I had to ask two people the route the moment I climbed the plinth the large hall took me to the temple gate opening to a court yard and then to the waiting space. I reached a bit early than 5:30 pm so had to wait but as the gates opened there was a Calm and serene feeling. I attended the Sandhya aarti and was offered Prasad then sat for few mins. Then went back. It was a amazing experience and a must visit for all. Don't forget to look for cows at the entrance which indicates that u r on the right place.

Peace here and beauty of vigrah are ultimate. Besides, it is appreciable that the temple is managed without any financial grants or aids; by the family members of Purohit here since generations.

It's good to visit the place liked the statue of Shree Rama

The place is good but the people living there are greedy and not so friendly. Asked me to pay 5000 rupees to click pictures. I don't even understand why they got the place in heritage if they can't even stay friendly and polite to others.

Their are only two temples of Kala Ram in India.One is in Nashik and second one is in Ahmedabad.It has it's own importance as this is the only statue of Lord Ram where he is in sitting position.The statue is made of the Kasoti stone.It is now the heritage and mythological site of Ahmedabad which is located on relief road.
