I visited this place recently with my wife. Their ambience was super amazing. They had a pottery making area, traditional dance, puppet show, and much more. The staff was very good. They serve traditional Gujarati food, and it tasted good. Overall, I feel it is an excellent place for someone who wishes to have a traditional Gujarati meal.

We were so utterly disappointed with this place. We thought it will be like a fort of something. But it turned out to be small mandap turned into the restaurant. Even though there was just one other table occupied, the service was slow and the staff didnt look happy to serve. The price was not affordable at all so tried the dal-chawal and papad. The quantity was so less that it wasnt even sufficient for one person. And the dal had too much oil floating on it. The washrooms were so unclean, I decided not to use them.

It was purely traditional place with deshi/authentic Guajarati and Rajasthani food. Excellent service, best in hospitality and tasty food. Rajeshthani folk dance and puppet show are also interesting. Best place for weekend chilling, especially in winter.

Went here for dinner on a weekday with family. ~Parking: parking space is ample for 2 as well as 4 wheelers. ~Ambience: it's very good but somewhat dark. Difficult to take pictures in night light. The daylight view is good. It has ponds, variety of birds, n photo booths. ~food: it is very delicious. All the food items were fresh and delicious. For an unlimited buffet the items were rotlo/thepla/bhakri, mung palak sabzi, aloo masala sabzi, gatte ki sabzi, masala chana, patra, liquid mohanthal, khichadi, rajasthani kadhi, gujarati kadhi, malpuva, bataka vada, salad, refreshments (guava juice/ lemon ginger juice) and icecream. All of them were delicious ~ service: excellent. Very quick service. Staff is friendly. ~ extra performances by them were also entertaining. I am adding photos of food and surrounding for reference.

Nestled in the middle of the bustling city of Ahmedabad is this sprawling campus of Rajwadu. I must say that the design of this campus is well thought out and they have given it an authentic rustic look of the villages of Gujarat. You first have to go in and pay upfront we visited on the New Year so I guess the prices were up. We had to pay ₹1000 each for our meal, once we entered the campus, we saw a number of activities going on. There was puppet show. Mehndi, they were also live performances. Fortune teller. The seating area is also well planned. You have both options of sitting on the ground as well as sitting on chairs. This place is suited for large groups and big families. You can spend some time here watching the performances before your name is called out and you are asked to be seated. It’s a dining experience. Overall they let you wash hands in the traditional style. Then they start with the salads which is a huge variety along with the chutney and they also have a huge vegetarian menu coming for you. You have to wait at least for five minutes for every item to be served. They will serve you 3 to 4 types of vegetables and starter Farsan. The sweets are also amazing. They have a variety of papads and wheats. They also have khichadi towards the end of the meal. each item is served piping hot and the taste is authentic. They take the efforts to ensure that the taste suits the requirements. It is not very spicy and at the same time not too bland. I simply love the Gujarati kadi and would have had more if if I had more space left to eat. This place is definitely worth a visit in Ahmedabad.

One of the best experience I have had in longest time. It's kind of adventure from the first foot in the restaurant. It's ambience and service is top notch. And the dishes served does spice up your flavour buds. I felt personally, the dishes were over priced considering the taste it served. We ordered: baingan bharta sev tameta (won't recommend) Jabeli (must try); they were crispy and crunchy Dahi Puri (nice touch to the way they served) Gujarati Dal and Chawal (not good not bad) Taste: 3.5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Quantity: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall: 3.5/5

From food to service and ambience and entertainment everything is at its best....there was a huge village-like setup...there was beautiful architecture along the way till dining ....there were many picturizing spots all along the way. There were Rajasthani folk singers assembled to entertain us while waiting for food also there was an astrologer, drums and some play area for kids. The food they served was in an ample quantity from the salad to finishing ice cream, everything tasted good. The seating here is different and cozy to sit. The best time to visit this place is evening. They open at 7.00pm and the cost was 1100rs per person. But when you spare time to spend the whole evening there then it's all worth the money.

Visiting this traditional Rajasthani restaurant was very delightful. The ambiance exuded the regal charm of Rajasthan, with intricate decor and warm hospitality. The menu was a tapestry of authentic dishes. We ordered Nariyel Kothmir Tikki along with Masala Papad and Masala Chaas for starters. For main course, the iconic Dal Baati Churma & aromatic Dahiwala Gatta with Bajra na Rotla was a celebration of Rajasthani culture and tradition. Service was attentive, guiding us through the menu. The staff's hospitality was evident.

SurI recently visited Rajwadu Kathiyawadi and Rajasthani restaurant and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The ambience of the restaurant is vibrant and colorful with traditional Rajasthani decor that gives a royal feel. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Coming to the food, it was simply outstanding! The authentic Rajasthani and Kathiyawadi dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The thali was a great way to sample different dishes and flavors. The variety of chutneys and pickles were also mouth-watering. Overall, I would highly recommend Rajwadu Kathiyawadi and Rajasthani restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Rajasthani and Kathiyawadi cuisine. The experience is truly worth it!

Loved the food. A mini town experience. the pottery wheel kaka is experienced and knowledgeable. We had fun making a mini clay flower pot, and he was fun to talk to. All the dancers and the servers were great as well. Totally worth going there. The hennah lady can be better attentive. She was on the phone the whole time while she was doing my Hannah.

Best part is the ambience, although in the midst of crowded city like Ahmedabad Rajwadu gives you the vibe of secluded forest restaurant. Sittings are quiet apart giving you privacy and a fine dine experience with your loved ones. Food is cherry on the cake, amazingly prepared Gujarati dishes which are mild in taste. I loved the way they serve makkhan in a small earthenware. The hospitality is worth mentioning.

Awesome ambience and an experience to have at least once in lifetime. I went here with my fiancé as she treated me with a dinner to celebrate 7 months of our engagement. The experience was simply amazing and unforgettable, loved all the elements of their decor and indoor vibe. Also, going here for a dinner was a great idea as you get to experience the excellent vibe during night time along with live performances. We went with the thaali option which is 799 inr per person and first, we were greeted with pineapple and jamfal juice. After waiting for 10 mins or so, we were called inside to have food. Except water bottle, they use no plastic which is great, loved the use of traditional utensils, it adds up to the beauty of our culture. Each and every item served to us was extremely flavorful, you get the authentic taste in every single item which is amazing. Out of all items served, ringan bhartu was my favorite, mung dal shiro and jalebi as deserts were delicious. Sitafal ice cream at the end was amazing as well to end our dinner. Definitely coming back!!

I had the pleasure of experiencing a traditional Indian village dining experience and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, the entire experience was filled with warmth, hospitality, and the most delicious food. The village was nestled in the heart of the ahmedabad, surrounded by lush greenery and serene beauty. As we walked through the village, we were greeted by friendly hosts who welcomed us with a drink. We were taken to a dining area, beautifully decorated with dim lights. The meal was served on banana leaves, a traditional and eco-friendly way of serving food in India. The food was a true feast for the senses - each dish was bursting with flavor and aroma, made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. We even got to participate in a traditional dance and music performance, which was a highlight of the evening. The entire experience was a wonderful glimpse into the rich culture and hospitality of India. I left feeling full, happy, and grateful for the opportunity to have such a unique and memorable dining experience. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable dining experience in India, I would highly recommend a traditional village dining experience. The food, hospitality, and sense of community make it an experience like no other.

Spooky entrance leading us to the courtyard, greeting us with entree to start our meal. With main course served with different curries and bread. The service was top notch with food being brought out every minute to make sure we were fed. Although the food was a bit spicy for me it was still an amazing experience to have. The dance bands were probably the highlight of the night, giving us a burst of energy and laughter to our faces.

Great services and ambience... we went for unlimited dinner which is 750+ gst but it's like mini picnic only so you can spend it and enjoy for 2-3 hours...u can sit on traditional "khatiya" near bonfire and enjoy rajashthani music and dance. Also there's kathputli show, so Great family place. must visit once in winters...food is worth money and even seating arrangements is amazing amongst nature. It'll definitely give you royal feel as services are at par.

Beautiful ambience right from the entry. Ample parking space. There are 2 sections - 1.Unlimited Thali @1024/- (weekdays) and 2. Ala Carte. Both have separate seating area. Food is delicious. We ordered the Paneer Bhurji Paratha Combo, Seasonal Green Vegetable with Fulka Rotis. Pineapple juice was good. Rajwadu Masala Milk (hot) was the perfect to our dinner on a chilling winter night.

Good food but worst service lacking common sense! We with small kids ordered regular menu items and waited almost 65 minutes!!! Children were roaring with hunger and even after repeated request to serve whatever available or ready didn't respond! People who ordered after us got their items quickly.i was really surprised with this kind of pathetic service. Better avoid this place if you are going along with kids.

This place is really unique and a good experience to visit. I had some clients from offshore who wanted to experience the culture of Gujarat and the food. We went over Rajwadu, and the folk/puppet/magic show was really simple but enjoyable. The service was really good, they had patience to allow us and sit properly, not intervening our privacy such as other restaurants who serve Thal in Ahmedabad. The food was simple yet delicious. Most important of all, I really liked their ambience.

Plush, green property decorated beautifully which gives a traditional charm to it. Large stone statues, vases and other such items give a rustic village feel. The seating arrangement is spacious, so is the waiting area. They have live music, puppet shows etc.during evening time. Gujarati and Rajasthani food is served. The taste was good, especially corn bhajia, besan gatta and plain parantha. Food is served in copper utensils. Service is prompt. Prices are reasonable. Enough parking space is available.

Out of the world experience. Right from entering the restaurant you get a royal treatment. The open air setting where from 2 until 20 guests can have food in a privatized area. The attention given the the staff was out of the world with mind boggling spread of varieties of item. Rajastani music was played live with traditional dance by women with pots on their head. Food for 2 will be around Rs.1700..A must visit while in Ahmedabad

This place fully justifies its name. "Rajwadu" means royal. This place is based on royal village theme. Ambience and feel is simply great. It is famous for its Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisines. The dish is costly but believe me it is worth each penny. You will surely loose your diet plan and will increase your waist by couple of inches. They provide catering service for in-house occasions like reception or birthdays. The plot is good enough to accommodate 400-500 persons easily.

I stayed in Gandhinagar for 3 months while I was a trainee at TCS. Believe me, I ate at Rajvee every weekend and the food was really good. Nice ambience and good gentry.

Best restaurant in gandhinagar because their food's quality and quantity are best as per price. Staff is also good at nature! They serves food in time. And they have a lot of dishes in their menu ;-) we often visit this restro. recently they opened their cafe so you can find some good snacks there also. :-D

Amazing food to anytime. When in no mood to experiment, we go to Rajvee. We are fond of India sizzler and pav bhaji..

Excellent restaurant giving original traditional taste of Gujarat. Nice ambiance giving feel of village though situated in middle of the city. I can only say you must visit it once and feel the experience. Thank you 🙏

Lots of parking Space is good, lots of varieties in food As soon as you enter there is a big circular open area where in every corner one entertainment activity is going out to enjoy After few minutes like 20 mins around they ask you to come ( as soon as any place to sit empty to eat). As we sit they start serving and filling the thali and then enjoy

The best place to have a party! We had a corporate party here and it was much better than expected experience. You are welcomed in the best possible rajasthani style, also the food served is the best meal I have ever had. If you are someone you loves to have a desi meal, its your go to place then!. The location also adds much more ambience to all over experience. Desi Rajasthani style seating, Rajasthan Folk dance with their song, all are not to be missed. Just go for it, experience it & you will not regret it.🤝

The food was tasty and delicious. The atmosphere was just superb and felt like heaven. Everyone was so supportive and their hospitality was best. The live event was good. I will recommend everyone to feel and taste authentic flavour of Rajasthan.

Great ambience and experience, good food thali must try. Hospitality is execllent, very friendly staff. Overall the price range for that ambience and experience is fine. They have puppet show, traditional dance and music, pottery work, not posting much of photos, bcz they created such great ambience to experience, come for experience and food. Must visit.

  • 4/5 Aalok K. 1 year ago on Google
Ambience is good, ethinic like puppet shows and Folk Dance presented in breathtaking. However they need to work on food taste (less oily) and more varieties. Ice cream served in the end was more icy and tastes also average. But Overall a must visit in Ahmedabad.

Good place to go for the Rajwadi Country side and village feel! Food is okay and only for the ones who like food that is Gujarati and a bit of Rajasthani accent! Ambience can be a little bright! Service and feel vibes is very good! Also prices are high for the ambience and not food!

Excellent food and everlasting experience. Visited the restaurant with family during Navaratri and it was quite an experience . Considering the amount per head the experience is worth it. Only negative is that we had to wait for quite some time and kids got impatient. Probably they have large crowd during Navaratri hence the wait . We were greeted with some cool drinks , saw a traditional folk dance, participated in an aarti and then proceeded to dining area. Food was vegetarian and really tasty although loaded with ghee. Servers would come to refill even before you finish so no wait once you sit down to dine. Recommended if you are visiting Ahmedabad.

From the entrance to its interior everything is just so perfectly fits at the place , talking to the atmosphere was so pleasent you will fall in love .with it. Talking about food every dish i ate waa amazing and mouthwatering.but to be honest 'lili bhaji na muthiya' , hot mohan thal and 'rajwadu bharthu' this 3 dishes has my heart, the service at the place was quite good and there are my more areas that you can click good pictures..! Must try it once in lifetime!😍

The ambience for this restaurant was very nice. Tried to give real experience of how rural Gujarat is and what food is ate there. Before heading for food some rural people showcase Gujarati culture through dance, singing etc. The food was really awesome.

Food was good, if you are visiting Ahmedabad as a tourist or for the first time this place is really amazing for you. It has village like ambiance and you will be served food traditionally while you are sitting on floor (additionally it has table chair facility as well). Food tastes delicious with lot of variety and everything was served hot. We chose unlimited thali system.
