If you are in Udaipur and you don't see the cultural program - Dharohar Folk Dance at Bagore ki Haveli, your Udaipur trip is incomplete! It's a MUST! Get a ticket in advance, probably online, or go and grab the ticket at 5pm or though the hotel you are staying. Everyday the show runs 7-8pm and sometimes an extra one 8-9pm if peak season. It's group of traditional folk artists, who performs songs and showcase some beautiful provincial dances from different parts of Rajasthan. It filled our heart with joy and pride that we belong to the same motherland where such artists are born!😊 Kudos to them, generally in maximum cases these practices are age old tradition, they carry forward the art and culture generation by generation. But slowly these days the youngsters are looking for alternatives so it's getting difficult to keep the tradition alive. Government / NGO, should come forward with many more platforms, let the technology help them, showcases their talent to every nook and corner of the world! Pls attend the cultural event. It's once in a lifetime memory. Well managed place. Restroom facilities are there.

We went to watch the Fold Dance with family, it was enjoyable for elders as well as children. They perform different types of Rajasthani dances, and every dance is good. It is very difficult to get the ticket. But once you get it, it's worth it. This is a must-visit in Udaipur.

Rajasthan aaye aur Rajasthani dance na dekha to kya dekha. We thought to see the folk dance show at bagore ki haveli but it was closed on 15th August so we found this amazing place and spent a good 1 hour there. The artists are really talented and they perform various arts- songs, puppet shows and different types of dance. The way of storytelling is also amazing. They have a 1-hour show running throughout the day.

The nostalgic culture of Rajasthan is perfectly exhibited by the talented pool of artistes, delivering wonderful performances one after another. A wonderfully lit up stage, comes alive with the breathtaking dances like Chari, Ghoomar, Gorbandh, Gawri, Bhawai, aptly intertwined with entertaining puppet show, tribal dance drama, narrating folklores. The anchors narrating the stories behind each performance, are bound to take you down the memory lane. The dancers with their impeccable moves, intricate yet fluid, the talented vocalists, create such an amalgamation of finesse and rawness that you feel immersed in the vibrant culture of Rajasthan. A big shout out to the organisers, who almost singlehandedly, without much support from any quarter, have curated such a memorable show for us. Keeping the culture and various art forms alive, they are doing a commendable job. We, the tourists, must step up and contribute in any way possible, be it monetary contri. or promoting the show on various platforms. Will certainly come back to witness this 'paragon of art'.

Beautiful show with Rajastani dancing and puppets dancing and doing tricks. Loved the atmosphere and the sharing and preservation of Rajastani culture. I felt welcomed as if in a home. Very happy to have been here, a must do while in Udaipur. They have changed to this new location, which I understand is larger than the previous one. Thus, you don't *need* to buy tickets in advance. We arrived ~15 mins before and were able to get in very quickly.

A must visit place when you are in udaipur. Here you can literally feel the rich heritage & culture of India.The women dance so well here with a permanent smile on their faces 😊. They only have 2 shows in a day and it is a well known place for the tourists due to which the rush is unimaginable here. Book your tickets on time only then you can get show. However show organizer must ban videography and photography (extra charges are there for same) as it hinders in viewing pleasure. 1st Show timing 7:00 PM - 8:00PM 2nd Show timing 8:00PM-9:00PM Tckt booking onsite start at 6:15 PM , however one can book tckt online at thier website to avoid long queue. Entry also start at 6:15 PM but, people do book online tckt and there is queue for entry also. So it is advisable to book online tckt and reach by 6:00 PM as seat are on first come first serve basis. It was such an amazing show I never seen before .specially the dance of Seema Rathore was fantastic. I got mesmerized. A must visit ,when you come to Udaipur and thanks to the organisers who are preserving our culture by presenting these type of shows

We were completely enthralled with the Dharohar Folk Dance at Bagore Ki Haveli. One of the best highlights in Udaipur. Please do not miss it! It is very well organized starting with a brief introduction given by a Rajasthani woman dressed in a traditional Rajasthani attire. The show consists of well-choreographed dances ably supported by the musician’s playing tabla and harmonium. The women performing the dance wear typical Rajasthani folk costumes with colourful ghagra cholis embodied with glass work and embroidery work. The Chari Dance, Terha Taal Dance, Gorbandh Dance, Ghumar Dance & Bhavani dance are performed. A Rajasthani puppet show is also part of the show. The skills and artistry of the performers are definitely worth admiring and should not be missed by anyone visiting this beautiful Haveli. They could arrange for better seating or provided a stage for the performers. Also, they need to have a clear communication on using cameras. Book you tickets in advance - either online or between 5-6pm for the 7pm show to avoid any disappointment!

A show which showcases dance forms from all parts of Rajasthan. Good performance by the singers, musicians and dancers. The traditional costumes are very colourful.

Just don't miss this show. Just don't. This will change your life and attitude towards performing arts. We went here not expecting a lot but our minds were BLOWN by the talent. Such dedication to a dying at form and such humility. Government should be encouraging such things by allowing use of facilities at a subsidy. The same thing in a foreign country would be charged at least 30-40 times the cost that these folks are charging. Please don't miss this and do visit to encourage our Indian talent and culture. So much better than any movie! Really fulfilling.

The folk dance / puppet show was such a happy vibe. The singers were seamlessly transitioning between folk song and Bollywood songs. The dancers themselves were talented but with their own personalities. The puppet masters were versatile enough to keep all engaged. The MC herself was a great host and didn't let anyone snooze a bit. And the online ticket booking was best without hassle. Overall 5/5

Amazing live performance. You just cannot miss this in udaipur. Even those who have seen Rajasthani folk dance before will be enthralled by the quality of the performances. Moreover it is performed by the West zone cultural center of the culture ministry of govt of India. So you get authentic artists and no rip off. Tickets can also be booked online and there is ample parking for 2 wheelers inside the venue. The event is performed in the bagore ki haveli. There are 2 times: 7-8,8-9. Come early to get the front seats as there is no seat reservation. Overall an excellent experience

Wow... It's at night (around 19:00 to 20:00) so if you have nothing else to do, it is the occasion to see some traditional clothes. Apart from this, avoid the show. I have never seen people so negligent, I mean some didn't dance at all just moving a bit the shoulders. We couldn't understand a single word. Most of it was pathetic, the last dance was interesting but 5 minutes out of 60 that's not worth it. I prefer enjoy the sunset on the lake than this.

Different rules for Indian and tourist guests. Indian guests are allowed walk in without a ticket and watch the show standing while foreigners also wishing to stand (but willing to pay full price) are turned away and told “it’s a full house”

This is the best one hour you will spend in Udaipur. The dancers were very skillful in the art of Rajasthan folk dance. Tickets are hard to get but worth it to see once you have the tickets.

The Dharohar Folk Dance is a show demonstrating traditional arts and entertainment of Rajasthan. Most of it is dancing, especially when balancing bowls on the head. The other major part of the show was traditional Rajasthani puppetry stories, which were quite amusing. The dancing was a bit of a mixed bag though. In some of the routines, one of the dancers seem out of practice and often out of sync with the other.

This was an absolutely brilliant experience. Book your tickets online for 150INR pp. Avoid the que! A one hour show starting at 7pm, if you have to que and don't get the first show it is on again at 8pm

Crux of whole Rajasthan tour. Must go place with reasonable entry fee (very less compared to the experience you get there in 1 hour).

Dharohar Folk Dance Show in Bagore ki haveli is a must watch show if you are visiting Udaipur. I felt enriched as the performances were breathtaking and it is very convenient way to know a little about the richness of Rajasthan's culture. The ticket price is also very very nominal. Only thing to be kept in mind is to have tickets purchased before hand as per your itinerary else you may have to face disappointment due to unavailability of tickets the very same day.

Beautiful traditional show. They do not have a count of seats and sell more tickets than the capacity. Foreigners are charged double and Indians are discriminated with inferior seats. They still uphold colonial values.

Amazing cultural show Dec 25 evening: This is an amazing cultural, dance and puppet show organized and performed very well. This is within the Bagore ki haveli and if you want the best seats, then be in the queue early as the seating is on first come basis. The performance is in the open area within the haveli. The seating is on chairs, benches and ground - actually every place where you can find a place. One of the highlights is the balancing act done by the main performer who balances the matkas on her head - the act is where after every dance, a matka gets added on top.

Very good. Not to be missed, worth the long queues...
