This lake is too big so you can entre from any direction, I think there are four gates in every direction Cleaning is above average. Maintenance is also very good. There is a butterfly park and ticket fee is 10 rupees. 1 round boat charger is 130 rupees. There are alot of rides also available and it is amazing. Food court is also available so you can also enjoy foods. . If you are going here then wait for the night When light turn on the view of the park changes. . I would recommend you to must see laser show Ticket fee is 30 rupees and it is 20 minutes show. . If you are in Ahmedabad then must visit this place and enjoy the calmness and peace. Vast expanse to spend some, alone time😁 though I would prefer it to be more quiet.🔇🔕😶🤫 The authorities should ensure that the lake is maintained clean. The least they can do is to educate or penalize the unruly public who litter their surroundings. There are enough trash cans, yet these plastic bottles end up in the lake. Boat riding is a very short lived experience for a 130rs ticket. Trams look attractive that facilitates a whole view of this place in a leisurely manner. Towards evening, it is excessively crowded and noisy. Good place to hang out with your friends, family or even just yourself 😁. It was raining heavily and thus I was spared of a huge rush that we usually witness on weekends. Entry fee is 20 rs. Boat riding is not that satisfactory for an amount of rs130. Just a quick round, and it's over in the wink of an eye. The overall view of the whole river front is aesthetically very good. There are many food chains where you can treat yourself to yummy food or even a softee. 😊😋🍨🍧🍦🥃 A ride in the tram is something I might try next time.

A lake front with almost 2.5 kms diameter with ample space to sit on the wall around the lake and enjoy the mornings or evenings. Weekends evenings are usually overcrowded due to just 10 rupees entry fees and this place has numerous kids play areas and places for a budget picnic. Despite so many people visit here, the whole area is very well maintained, super clean with dustbins 🗑 every few meters and surprisingly clean washrooms 🚻 plus the music 🎶 with which you are greeted throughout. The lake turns even more beautiful at night because of the colourful lighting surrounding the lake. In pre-covid times, there were many activities and eatout spots open (on additional charge) for worthy evenings like Toy Train, Boating, Zorbing, Laser Show, Zoo, Amusement Park, Aquarium, Butterfly Park etc. Same should be available again after the restrictions are stopped. Personally, this lake has been our hotspot for morning walks and to watch sunrise whenever we visit Ahmedabad 👌🏼👌🏼 For morning walks, the entry is free in morning (till 7:30 am). Pros: The lake and surrounding infrastructure has developed a lot since I lasted visited the place 20 years ago. There are a lot of things for kids to play and watch. Cons: Complicated ticketing process as tickets need to be purchased at various points - entrance, zoo, rides etc. Parking facility is inconvenient and not developed at all. The condition of zoo animals and enclosures are poor. We saw the skinniest Lion ever! And finally, there was no drinking water in the zoo and the facilities including toilets were not clean.

I heard about this place from my childhood but never got a chance to visit untill now. This was obviously before lockdown. I visited this place in February 2020. This was straight after my visit to motera cricket stadium. Authority have managed to keep this place very clean. I took full round of lake and it's an amazing experience. I must say it's quite long though. They have lots of other stuff to njoy. U can have some delicious street food plus there is nocturnal zoo and normal zoo as well. Combine fee for both of them is 50rs. Plus they have some adventure sports activities as well and also small theme park. Overall it was superb experience

Lovely place to visit with family for outing , would not recommend to go on weekend and holidays as it will be very crowded. Parking is available at a minimum cost and lake entry ticket is also there. Horror house, train ride, food plaza, boat ride etc. are there to enjoy for full day. A full package I should say....a place where you can easily spend 3/4 hrs. Beautiful lake, Boating, toy train, fountain show, food and what not. It has 10 rs entry fee but it's worth as they keep it really clean.

It's a huge park, we can see people exercise, walking etc. Food centres were good and it's at most of the places once you enter. First to enter you will have to buy a ticket which costs 10 rs per head then the beautiful lake view can be experienced. We specifically went to watch the lazer dance and it was fun, it cost 20 rs per head for this show and this show lasts for 20-30 mins. Tried some fast food here, but not much tasty, so order on your own risk but it's also not much expensive so that's what we can expect. There're many gates so don't be confused. There're boat rides available for fun and the lake is decorated with lights which makes it more fun.

Kankaria Lake is the second largest lake in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is located in the south-eastern part of the city, in the Maninagar area. Attraction points r Zoo, Balvatika, Amusement park, Kids City, Toy Train, Nagina Vadi, Stone mural park, Joy rides, Horror house, Dutch & Armenian tombs.

This is the best place for family and especially for children there is Zoo, toy train and other fun Activity, on weekends this place has a huge rush, one thing I notice here is every single thing is more expensive than other places it will start from parking ticket to a single water bottle. All over the place was good for the evening and hung out .

Ahmedabad locality have peace here. Amazing light show here and boating.

AMAZING ❤️🤩 I went here with my aunts and mom. It was so clean! The food was DELICIOUS! I especially enjoyed the night zoo and the boat riding. The best weather to go there is cloudy weather. You can get amazing pics of the lake! They also take safety precautions during boating and you have to wear a life jacket. The toy train ride is also cool

Lake having facility to travel through boating (Ferry) charge around 130 to 300 Rs per person as per the ride. Internal small Rail is available but due to some problems it's not working in Aug 2021. Entree Ticket: Adult: 10 Rs Children : 5 Rs Parking Fee for Car/Bike: Charge per hour. I pay 25 Rs (2wheeler) for 2 to 4 Hr. Note: Advance 40 Rs taken for parking , You've to pay as per hour basis, so please cross check the time on your receipt and do exact payment.

A very good place to visit with kids. 2 Full day is must to enjoy fully including zoo, botanical garden, kids zone and Amrapali entertainment park. The zip line and adventure activities are very good. You need to remain ready for good walk. Very big and beautiful lake. The place is government maintained one and very very neat and clean area. The surrounding environment is very good and at evening we can listen singing of birds lots of birds.

A great place to visit with your family. If you to get to take a trip to Ahmedabad and have enough time you must visit here. However, the lake was constructed in 15th Century. The lake was then known as Hauj-e-Qutb. There is lot to do if you have enough time. You can enjoy rides, visit the zoo and if you are there till evening enjoy the water show as well. However, at zoo cleanliness of animal cages is an issue. Pungent smell while passing through the cages does makes the experience little unpleasant. Parking is also an issue there.

It may seem a bit boring at first to ride a cable-connected air balloon,but the response in this is pretty positive. Lake - A decent lake with paid facilities like zoo and water sports. The ideal time to visit is evening as it gets as hot as it can during the day time. Zoo - There is however an issue with cleanliness and maintenance of the zoo. It's extremely unkept. No care whatsoever is taken to maintain some basic hygiene. No body is monitoring temperature or checking for masks to controlling the crowd. Wouldn't recommend visit this during the Covid times. Shops at the lake - there will be vendors screaming to advertise their shops , sometimes even making it difficult for you to walk pass those snack shops.

Need a place to spend all day this is the one. It has so many attractions and activities to do. But be sure once has to walk a lot here. They have a toy train and golf carts that take you around the lake. There are 3 different adventure parks. A big zoo, bird park, butterfly park and a nocturnal zoo. There are huge food shops and you can find almost anything you want to eat. For boating also there are so many options for different kinds of boats. They even have a food boat where you will sail for 20 min and order food too. One of the great place to go with family/ kids

It's a great place for kids and specially in day time when you can take them to zoo and butterfly parks and other things like boating and all...at night time there's laser show at Nagina Wadi which is at the center of lake and yess there's restaurant on boat which costs around ₹250 per person for adults & for kids is lesser though i haven't tried it so can't comment can the taste of food at it😅 Lots of fast food court there and also outside kankaria lake. There is also a kid city and adventure ride but not sure abt the rides and in kid city i haven't been there so no idea about it. Brts bus stop is just in front of gate no.1 if anyone traveling by public transportation.
