Glad to have chosen this walk to experience the city. There's a video projection first to educate us on the history. The walk then takes us through 2 kms and some 20 (?) odd points that cover some heritage temples, 'pol's, different styles of architecture, the tomb of Ahmedshah, the market area, and a mosque in the end, among others. Also called as mandir to masjid walk. The morning walk starts at 8 am from Swaminarayan temple Kalupur and ends at Jama Masjid. Bookings cannot be done through the website, error message. You can go directly to the start point there is a Tourism office within the temple premises, you can directly register there. This walk takes place every day. The normal package costs 200 rs. and the luxury package costs 350 rs. and includes breakfast at Chandra Vilas, a 120 yr old restaurant in Manek Bazar. There is also a night heritage walk , which covers some different points. Hope this was informative !

It was one of the best mornings i had in Ahmedabad. By the time my usual day began we had a fantastic time that I would cherish with me forever. The amdavad that I saw on the walk was different from what i had seen working here for the last 1 year. It was special and beautiful.

Whether you are visiting Ahmedabad or you are a localite and are interested in knowing about the history of Ahmedabad, it's oldest monuments, structures, architecture, old housing styles, etc. you should opt for this heritage walk. There are two schedules : 1) Day - This one usually covers the old housing of Ahmedabad (popularly called as 'pol') and makes you visit those famous pols and some temples which lie on the way. 2) Night - It begins around 8.30 pm at night and is a 2 km walk visiting the popular mosques (Jama Masjid, Siddi Syed Mosque) and ending at the night street food market at Manek Chowk. Both the walks are quite interesting and a must do in Ahmedabad. The guide is very friendly answering all your questions and queries

An excellent 2.5 hrs walk ..Story telling guided Rendezvous with The UNESCO Heritage Old City Heritages.. The First thing which was fixed in our Amdavad itinerary was this Heritage walk..and we feel that..Amdavad tour is incomplete without this walk.. We started from Swami Narayan Mandir.. The Guide..Mr. Murtaza was very politely n with slow pace..taken us to the lanes of the Heritage City..with brilliant way of interactive story telling.. He made us relive all the places..with brilliant way of telling the history.. AS if Kavi Dalpatram recite infront of us..or we can visualize the 1st Fashion show at Calico dome His Narration over uniqueness of Kala Ramji Temple n explaining the Minute details of Shantinathji Mandir is beyond excellence.. The Architecture..the degree of Heritage..the finding of a secret lanes..the Poles ..The Book market and old Stock Exchange..The visualization of Night market of Manek Chowk..mesmerized us.. After Badshah No Hajiro n Rani no Hajiro..we finally reached Jama Masjid..the tour ..a Walk from Mandir to Masjid..we learn a lot between the road of this journey.. The Special Mentioned must be the breakfast at famous heritage Chandravilas eateries..thats too delicious Gujrati Morning Snacks.. We are really overwhelmed of the total trip and stronlgy mentioned it is a Must do who Visit and want to explore the heritage City Amdavad...The True essence one can feel on this walk..

A must go for the residents; also for the tourists, if they can fit in the two and a half hours. Commences from Swaminarayan temple near Kalupur (parking available) and ends at the historical Jama Masjid. You walk through the old city with its โ€˜Polsโ€™ and experience the syncretic cultureโ€ฆold havelis, by lanes, small squares, temples both Hindu and Jain and the grand 600 plus year old mosque. Our guide Murtazaa was excellent, very well informed, excellent command over the language and a nice sense of humour. He kept the group entertained too. One suggestion- the breakfast at the end of the trip is horrible. It was perhaps the worst food I had in this city in my eleven years here. Please take the package without breakfast. The organisers are requested to do something about this as this city offers such great cuisine and it will leave such a poor impression on the visitors.

The heritage walk was 2 hours of fun and knowledge. The guide was very knowledgeable. He explained a lot about old Ahmedabad. We saw how people of different communities and religions lived in harmony. We saw mixed civilization architecture. We saw Ahmedabad stock exchange, 2nd stock exchange of India. The Jami Masjid was also very beautiful. I am highly satisfied.

The night heritage walk curated by Mr Murtaza was a highlight of our two day Ahmedabad trip. Starting from Sidi Saiyyed Mosque & ending at Manek Chowk this two hours walk gave us a wonderful insight of the bylanes of the walled city and its colourful history. The opportunity to have fresh phaphra- jalebi farsaan at Manek Chowk was an added bonus

Everyone should do this walk. I grew up In Ahmedabad and did not know anything about the old city. Super fun and very informative and culturally rewarding experience. It would be better if there was an English guide option , especially for American born, Indian kids.

A great morning walk that gives you insights into the lives, sights and sounds of Old Ahmedabad city. The guides are friendly, professional and well informed. Well worth your time if you are spending a couple of days in this lovely city. If you are doing the morning walk donโ€™t miss the breakfast at the end of the tour! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

This heritage walk is a must do if you are visiting the city. The guide explains and takes you through the various heritage buildings on the city that make Ahmedabad what it is. Not sure if we went through this agency or the other, but in the end the trip concluded by a sponsored authentic Gujarati breakfast at a renowned hotel. Definitely recommended. โœ… Visited on 13.04.2023 Reviewed on 11.07.2023

The walk is well organised with detailed narration of the city's history by the guide who entertains you with his sarcasm. It would be another wonderful experience if you are accompanied with the foreign tourists on your walk.

A good way to explore old city and get to know the vast history scattered in small and vivid details of mixed cultures and trails of how the business affected the people and their way of living. A mix of havelis and pols, from temples to masjids, from marathas to mughals, from wells to great architectures, from trading to shopping and overall from knowing minors to having a greater details of Ahmedabad. Overall wonderful.

It was a memorable experience.Very informative and exciting.Nice initiative from AMC.The heritage sites have interesting historical and cultural significance.Apart from this it was our guide Mr. Murtuja who had truly conveyed this to us.His style of introducing and explaining about each and every heritage site was very unique that creates curiosity to know about that site.I think if he was not a guide than he would be a best professor of an esteemed university. Thanks to AMC and Mr. Murtuja. I suggest at least once every one must join this Heritage walk to know our heritage and history truely. 5/5 to AMC and 5+5/5 to Mr. Murtuja ๐Ÿš๏ธ๐Ÿš๏ธโ›ฉ๏ธโ›ฉ๏ธ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฃ
