My one of the favourite plave for South Indian delight as They serves one of the best dosa in the city and the price of their dosas are half the price of big chain of South Indian restaurant. I personally love their Red tomato chutney.

Chennai Express definitely deserves 5 Stars whether it is Shahrukh Khan's movie or this South Indian food restaurant. I moved to Ahmedabad as my co. Asked to work from office finishing Work from home and this is the 1st place after a week time which I really liked and enjoyed the taste they offered. They offer various kind of Dosas, and I can definitely vouch for them regarding Quality & Quantity. I had Idlis too and they are so soft and yummy, you instantly fall in love with them. Chuttney and Sambhar tastes superb and you can literally eat as much you want but still have craving left. This place is run by South Indians with love and respect. You will be treated with atmost respect and love. Place is very neat and tidy. Rates are very reasonable and quantity offered is more than sufficient with quality. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone living in Ahmedabad to try out what they are offering. I am attaching few pics and videos of inside and outside of restaurant.

One of my favorite place for having breakfast. Not only for breakfast they serve lunch too. They serve varieties of dosa& uttapam. The prices are very normal. The ambience is simple . Quick service by the kind staff. So, go for this.

Past visit to this place were good experience however recent visits give a different story. The dough had turned so sour, and when complained it fell to deaf ears. Their sambar was always watery and never their best option, however to my surprise they have managed to drop its quality further. This time it tasted like salty water and nothing else. I wished they would have improved over the years but they have chosen to drop their quality. It is the cheapest option by far in the segment but the quality and taste has also become cheap, meaning not edible.

Nice place for breakfast . Perfect place for South Indian lovers. Food is good, nice atmosphere. Rate is very cheap. They have break at 3 p.m. the owner is very nice n waiters are very fast to give service. Car parking issue to try to visit by bike or scooty. They take party orders also. Must visit.

Authenticate south India food with very affordable price and quick service. Mendu vada and Idly is something very good specialty. both chatni is also yummy.

South indian food is available, morning breakfast. Idli,manduwada, dosha etc are available in a very clean area. staff are supportive.

Nice place for South Indian food. Pocket friendly. Their dosa & medu wada are best. Idli is not tha tasty. Sambhar needs to have some sweetness. Chutney is very nice. Must visit if you love south Indian food.

Street side South Indian food stall has better taste then this restaurant. Dosa doesn't have authentic test - the batter that is used is cheap, their chutneys are spicy and their sambar test like Gujarati dal. All in all Do not waste your money and time

Oh my good., Truly I am in south India., Very good tiffin's - I had Idly Vada and Plain ravva dosa and Masala Ravva dosa very good taste with sambar and 2 types of chutneys.I visited this places 4 time during (4 to 11 Jan 2022)

Great experience visiting Chennai express restaurant. True South Indian breakfast with reasonable prices . It's more good to eat at restaurant that order online. Over all service, hygiene , and tast of the food is fantastic

I would strongly recommend this restaurant as they are very affordable but at the same time the food taste is above average and service is average. They offer a plate of idly at 40 which is a pretty good price. But chutney and sambar are average if they improve the quality I am sure they are gonna get double from their business.

Food seems substandard though it may taste good. Leaves bad after smell which means rotten substances used. Service is also substandard & you need to request them frequently to clean table. Not worth visiting at any rate. No value for money.

Food was below average. We ordered masala dosa but masala was not good. Also they need to work on cleanliness also. Overall our experience was not that good. We will not go again.

This place is small and cosy. Loved the place. Food tastes nice. They have authentic South Indian taste in their food.

Today I order utappam and Rava dosa. Horrible taste and worst packaging. This is not the way utappams are made in South. On top of it he added Aloo on Masala utappam. It was so fat and tasteless, full of Masala. Severe acid attach after eating it. Then the onion rava dosa was worst. Not crispy made a ball of it not roasted properly. It is not authentic South Indian at all.

Taste was good but one third size was less than normal idli and wada, They have kept the price low to entice the customers, but then how do people juggle nowadays. And the metal wire of the scrubber came out of the wada, so careless, the food can be dangerous for the kids.

Quality of food is poor. I order dosa, it was soft and not crispy as it should. Then I return it told to bring another one, both time it was soft and moist. I didn't the taste of sambhar too. Not a recommended place.

Our all time favourite South Indian restaurant. We loved to eat different types of dosa here. Very helpful staff and service is great. Very spacious and comfortable place for dinner with friends and family.

The best taste anywhere in India atleast. I know it seems exaggerated comment but trust me, one should try their food. Its best ever. I was regular customer since 2015 and it always tasted same. After moving to Canada, my first stop was Chennai express and experienced same awesome taste after years .

BEST BEST BEST!!! Zomato delivered mix uttapam on RIGHT. And Muthu anna specially delivered order on left. If this isn't called customer loyalty, i don't know what is. The zomato order was mashed, squashed and cold as ice. I called up the place and explained the issue. Within 10 minutes Anna was at my place with a smile. It was a great experience eating in Chennai express, great taste, greate food. Nice manager, u will not feel ur not in Chennai if are eating here.

Had masala dosa from this restaurant for so many times and it's too good. But the worst part is their service. My husband went there 2 times for buying parcel. He felt too bad as he came first but those people gave to customers who came late. Such a partiality behavior.Too unfair service.
