The service is quick and they are quite polite. You are exhausted from the extra oily / buttery dosa from rest of Ahmedabad, hop into this place. In the small alleyway, this place is located. Like a small Alley, this place has a small surrounded area. In short, this place is going to be packed with limited seating arrangements at weekends. Therefore, considering the turn, you would get in 20-25 minutes span, but it's all worth the wait. The food they serve is totally delicious and delightful. They're known for their typical karnatak cuisine where the taste was absolutely udipi style. We've heard a lot about this place, so we decided to go by to try southern delicacies on sundays. There, we had F. Thali, Mysore Masala, Ghotala, and Banglore Dosa. All dosa were so flavourful and rich in taste, but my favourite was MM with Garlic Flavour. And of course, how could you forget their filter coffee [Never miss] it was that good and soothing. This place is very cosy, and it will fill with a bunch of a few people. One of the favourite dish I tried long time back in Mumbai, this dish at Ahmedabad did meet my expectations, this restaurant ( Udipi Jaya Restaurant) is located near Lal Darwaja. . This dosa is not an ordinary dosa it will mixed with spices and ofcourse lot of cheese. Though it did take time to make this dish, but it was worth it. . Completed dinner with Medu Vada and Steamed Idli and Filter coffee. Maintained it's brand name. Ambience is fantastic, it seems to be in a South Indian place. Price is quite reasonable. Sambar, Chutni are awesome and filter coffee is just fantastic. Love to be here again. Full 5 Stars!!! NB - Forgot to take pics of Vada and Idli as it was irresistible to start eating. Best place to eat South Indian food in old cuty of bhadra. The place is in very clean and neat street and very peaceful place. Staff is good and quality of food is the best in all ahmedabad. Specially the sambar ans coconut chatni you never found the best anywhere else in whole ahmedabad and specially maisur masala dosa, dahi idli. And masala wada, idli wasa all are out of this world.

This place gives a positive vibe before you enter. They have a basic South Indian menu and an exotic one as well. Try Jinny Dosa. The music played here is not a commercial one but a divine one (veena and damru). Surprisingly, it won't bore you. The food also aligns with the typical atmosphere created. I have tried many South Indian street food and five star ones, but the dishes here had a different taste, a good different one. Take a rickshaw, be a typical amdavadi and visit the place. You will anyways not be able to take car as it in the middle of a pol.

Quick run through about this place: 1) BEWARE OF WRONG SIDE DRIVING: while you leave this place, the way is ONE WAY. So better take left and circle through main road. (Otherwise you will be fined hard 😳🧾). 2) parking can be a tricky one, so just be lucky 🤞. 3) food quality is good and tasty 😋. 4) Quantity is also quite wholesome which fills one's appetite easily. 5) pleasant smelling ambiance and homely south indian vibes which I liked alot ❤️. New Udipi Jaya restaurant is an actual hidden gem in Ahmedabad City near the riverfront. It's been my first time that I visited this place for brunch. And the food test surprised me. Authentic south Indian vibe and food test I would say better then sankalp. I really enjoyed the food as in South Indian menu is my fav. We tried 2 Dhosa over there. 1) Gotala Dosa - 10/10 must try this once u go there it test amezing. 2) Masala Dhosa - 8/10 it is it sweet side perfect for kids. If you are a coffee lover then you must try filter coffee there its amezing in test. My overall food experience is very good i am satisfied with food quality and atmosphere over there. Must visit if you are around River front specially in a day time of a breakfast or lunch.

Overall I have rated it only 2 star as there services didn't match up even after giving them suggestions. I have also witnessed other fellow customer's too complaining about food being served cold even after it is prepared fresh. Taste wise it is very nice but of what use if served cold. Its a trend specially in morning time. Need to improve as they can't take us for granted.

The food is delicious, so is the service and the hospitality. The location is a little bit off road but that makes it more adventurous to find it or so we experienced. We ordered south Indian food, and people, it was worth it. Do visit it.

Was roaming in old city and Went here after going through the reviews. Loved how they have built a restaurant in such a small place. Tried Idli and Uttapam here. But the taste was not up to the mark. Idli was having some odd kind of smell. While sambhar and chutney felt off- flavour in taste. Have to try again to see if that was my bad or it is actually that good.

One of the best South Indian cuisine ... Taste was excellent. Siders like Sambhar (Lentil curry) and Chutney (coconut dip) taste absolutely delicious when I had it with Veg Spring Roll Dosa. They have good variety of South Indian vegetarian menu to choose from. Reasonably priced and well maintained hygeine and serves quickly.. Since the place is cosy, limited tables are available, but its worth a wait time of 20-25min to savour authentic delicious South Indian cuisine. Must try for alll...

As per prices DHOSA is not good.they are charging very unfair. They charged me 80 RUPPES extract for ghee...where my DHOSA price itself is 130 RUPPES. I was expecting to get fresh chatni and proper authentic sambhar but its not get fulfilled as per price what they charged. Chatni and sambhar should be thick and vegetables should be included.
