Visited Mar 2019 and Mar 2020. Must have been really nice when it was constructed. What remains points to that. See attached pics. Also see Sarkej Kuva (well) nearby.

Sarkhej Roza, a heritage site with beautiful and outstanding monuments, whatever is left of it. However, access and approach to a place that has been declared as a heritage site is pretty pathetic. The place is strewn with garbage, plastic and all kinds of waste material. Peddlars hawkers and trespassers are soon going to be occupying the place. Wish some corporate could take it up as a CSR project and help maintain the place.

King palace is near Sarkhej Roza. A beautiful monument built in 15th century. Ruins also look magnificent as it would have been before in the 15th century. A must visit place for History lovers, travelers and photographers

Nestled in the hustle and bustle of this magnificent city it offers a reminder to the distant past, to the rule of the Mughals. Beautiful architecture and a serene environment makea one forget that he is in the midst of a growing metropolis.

Good place for photo shoot if you want heritage back ground for your shoot .the place is little bit dirty and the lake is dried out .but still you can get good pictures there . The entry is free for the lake side but in the king palace photo shoot is not allowed . There is only one stall out side the palace so bring your food and water with your self .the place is not visible from far .

Sarkhej Roza is a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of Makarba, 7 km southwest of Ahmedabad in Gujarat state, India. Although there are many rozas across Gujarat, the Sarkhej Roza is the most revered. Sarkhej was once a prominent center of Sufi culture in the country, where influential Sufi saint Shaikh Ahmed Ganj Baksh lived. It was on the saint's suggestion that Sultan Ahmed Shah set up his capital on the banks of the Sabarmati, a few miles away from Sarkhej.
