One of the best architecture in Ahmedabad City. This structure is very awesome. The campus is green and Clean. This heritage is being maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. This location is close to the Lal Darwaja Bus Terminus and Ellis Bridge. People who are interested in old architecture should definitely visit this place once.

Before the new Jama Masjid came into existence this was the place where prayers were offered by sultan Ahmed Shah I. Aka old jama masjid by locals. The mosque is active and is surrounded by beautiful garden. Best example of ancient architecture.

This royal mosque was originally situated in Bhadra citadel and was meant for the royal members to offer prayers. It was built by Sultan Ahmad Shah himself in A.H. 817 (A.D. 1414). The construction started in 1411 A.D. and took 3 years to complete it. It was elegant in its simplest form. The central hall has 5 arched openings and 8 stone windows. It represents the earliest architectural style of its class in Ahmedabad. The 10 domes are adorned with smaller domes supported on 152 pillars.

The Shahi Jama Masjid in Ahmedabad was built by Sultan Ahmad Shah in 1424. It has a large courtyard colonnaded on 3 sides with entrances at each of them. On the fourth side is the domed prayer hall. The prayer hall has 15 domes and 260 pillars. Haven of Peace early in the day Part of the early Ahmedabad walk. A superb example of early Islamic architecture. Both sexes welcomed too. As with other properties managed by trusts, this one also needs a facelift. However the beautifully carved pillars and dome can leave you breathless and wanting for more. I wish ASI and Waqf start paying more attention to the stupendous architectural marvels of India

This Masjid is constructed in the 1400 and today also it stands still in the middle of Ahmedabad city . It consists of very Beautifully carved walls . The main entrance of the prayer hall is very high . This Masjid shows a blend of Indo-Islamic . The ruler Ahmed Shah used to come at this place to offer prayers to God . Photography is allowed here . Also the greenery near this place is very well maintained along with cleanliness.

Jama / Jami Masjid (literally Friday Mosque), also known as Jumah Mosque, is a mosque in Ahmedabad, built in 1424 during the reign of Ahmed Shah I. Lying in the old walled city, the mosque is situated outside Bhadra Fort area, along the south side of the road extending from Teen Darwaza to Manek Chowk.

The eyes can't capture its beauty, nor can words describe the history behind those stones. I really appreciate how they still offer namaz inside and how the architecture is still the same.

Marvelous work on Hindu temple by old Hindu civilization. All the articles on the pillar and inside the temple are related to Hinduism such as lotus, kalash, Krishna Chakar etc. Though it was destroyed and converted to Mosque now. People from all religious come to wipe their _ here and comment here that this Masjid shows a blend of Indo-Islamic by Ahmed Shah. 😂😂

Visited yesterday, during the month of ramdan. They also share food for people who fast (rojdaar). Honestly speaking, in the hustle and bustle of the life. You will find immense peace in the mosque. Moreover sitting near the fountain in the middle, you will time travel to ancient and find stillness and peace of life. Alhamdulilah for everything.
