Built by the founder of the Ahmedabad city, Sultan Ahmedabad Shah in 1414 CE. This 600+ years old yellow sandstone structure is the great example of the visionary ruler of that time. This is and Archaeological Survey of India which also known as ASI protected monument. This is the best ASI monument in the Ahmedabad city in terms of Cleanliness, Management and other things. Hauz e Wazu is in the centre and then person can go inside the mosque. Males and Females both can visit the mosque.

Ahmed Shah’s Mosque, also known as Shahi Jam-e-Masjid or Juni Juma Masjid is the oldest mosque of Ahmedabad, India. The mosque was erected by the founder of Ahmedabad, Ahmed Shah I in 1414. It said to have been used as the royal household’s private mosque. According to the inscription at the upper part of the central mihrab, the foundation date seems to be the 4th day of Shawwal month in 817AH, which is 17 December 1414. The outer wall, almost bare of ornament, with ill designed pointed arches and squat minarets, mark the Hindu artisans

just one word "maasha allah" for this Masjid and this mosque is believed to be ahmedabad's first mosque and this is the reason why Ahmedabad is only city in india to become first heritage city in the country. masjid is located middle of city and it has small garden within it which makes it looks even more beautiful and #Hauj too middle of masjid's compound which exactly in square shape. Design architectural work just outstanding this masjid clearly reminds us how Ahmedabad was during the time Ahmedshah badshah. reason behind it is still standing is it is made up of #Garch.

A beautiful mosque that’s less visited. Not much foot traffic. Grounds are kept well. Amazing lofty stone pillars and beams. Well worth the visit.

Sultan Ahmed Shah mosque in Amdavad is a religious place for Muslims that is well known for its architectural designing. It was constructed in the year 1414 A.D. by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the founder of Amdavad city. Thus, the mosque has been named after its founder. Lying on the left side of the famous Bhadra Fort, the mosque is very appealing to look at. It is one of the oldest mosques of Amdavad. The prayer halls (Mehrabs) of the Ahmad Shah mosque have been intricately designed using black and white marbles. There is a separate chamber for women in the mosque. Towards the north east corner, lies the prayer room for women, which is more popularly known as 'Zenana'. The Ahmad Shah's Mosque in Amdavad, Gujarat was initially a holy place meant only for the royal class. Only the nobles could come here for worshipping. Well, when it comes to holy places, it is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Amdavad.

South-west of Bhadra Fort, Ahmed Shah’s Mosque was built in 1414 by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the founder of Ahmedabad city and it is one of the oldest mosques in the city. The prayer halls (Mehrabs) of the mosque have been intricately designed using black and white marble. There are beautifully carved stone pillars and jaali screens and an elaborately carved ceiling with a circular symmetry.
