During our one day visit to Ahmedabad, my wife and I went to see all the major tourist attractions in old Ahmedabad by Hop on Hop off Amdavad City Tour Bus. Kankaria Lake was the best of all the places we visited. It is a beautifully developed, pretty attractive, neat and clean waterfront picnic spot that has everything for everyone at one place. The lakefront is unbelievably filled with Tethered Baloon Safari, Zoological Park, butterfly park, Amusement Park, Nocturnal Zoo, Bungy Jumping, Desert Safari, Kids Zone, Aquarium, floating restaurant, mini train and golf car rides, boating, and sizeable food court with several restaurants. The entire circular lakefront that has several entry and exit gates is captivating, exhilarating, and entertaining. A praiseworthy development of Kankaria Lake by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC.) My emphatic congratulations to all the people who are responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the prepossessing lakeside.

Nice and well organized. Systematic approach. Excellent Hospitality of staff members. All kind of delicious vegetable foods served in the restaurant. Punjabi, Gujarati, Chinese and Italian foods are served. Fix thali menu is also available. Party pack is also available.

Beautiful place to spend your evening in Surprised by the maintenance level. Hardly you find trash lying around. So many activities around the walkway. You can choose from a variety of food places, adventure places and calm places just to sit enjoy the light show and it's reflection.

Good place for romming and spending quality time with friends and family. Basically kankariya is a historical place and it was a HAUZ for WUJU for Soldiers of Ahmedshah King. After that it has concerted into park place. Now we can say Kankariya is one of the place for tourists are come to see.

Top place to visit in ahmedabad. It is bundled with lake view, boating, zoo, two amusement park, waterpark, kids city, aquarium, helium baloon, adventure activity, toy train ride.

Nicely maintained, beautiful, many things available to enjoy like Boating, train, Zoo, kids play area, ride parks (Amraplai, near gate no 6 and Adventure World), Balvatika, Naginavadi, etc

No traffic, not to worry about which bus because all busses go to maninagar

I never hated this place it's awesome only reason is that with ticketing staff who fooled me of twenty rupees by not having change. Do not carry cigarettes and other stuff as guards may ask you throw dustbin it's not permitted, boating is nice (cost 65, 100, 130 per person)also laser show is fine (20 rs per person) also children amusement park has some nice rides (sorry I haven't visited one so don't know about cost) same about the Butterfly Park.

Spent my childhood visiting this wonderful place.Many many memories attached with this place. After Redevelopment and Reconstruction this place has become one of the best place. Moving around inside in fresh pollution free atmosphere is refreshing as vehicles are not allowed inside.

It is very beautiful place I will suggest you to visit at least one time in your life.

Sightseeing & Childrens Enjoyable Place

Kankaria lake can be found in the south-eastern section of Ahmedabad near the Maninagar area, in Gujrat. It is said to be the second largest lake in the city. Multiple tourist spots like the zoo, kids city, toy-train, hot-air balloon ride, water-based rides and other such entertainment attractions are in abundance in the lakefront that has been developed around Kankaria lake. However, it wasn’t like this since the beginning. Recently there was reconstruction and reworking of the lakefront, by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). In the past, due to negligence, Kankaria lake dried up and became dirty thereby rendering it useless, but with the joint efforts of AMC and the government, it is now a revamped place that is a major tourist attraction. Various kinds of social, cultural and similar activities take place here. Entry tickets - 20 rs for adults For amusements there are different rates for different activities
