Saifee Villa Gandhi Memorial Museum in Dandi, Gujarat state of India. It is a place of importance where on April 5th 1930 Mahatma Gandhi stayed at night prior to the historical event of Salt Satyagraha against the Salt law implemented by the British government during the colonial rule. This building belonged to His Holiness Syedna Taher Saifuddin Shaheb, 51st religious head of Dawoodi Bohra Community. Shaheb requested Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India to dedicate this building to the country and to preserve it as a national heritage as it has historical significance. The museum has various rare pictures and various personal effects of Mahatma Gandhi.

Very good place and well developed..this should have been developed quite back because dandi satyagraha holds an important place in history but anyways better late then never.. the murals are top notched and the carvings and writings are very well maintained..quite informative for children. There are many solar panels around which is a very good thing. The place is well cleaned and up. But if you during day time when sun is up it is going to be to too hot.

Recommended only for adults who love history and Gandhi otherwise this place is full and boring especially if you are with your kids. Kids will get bored and there's nothing for thier entertainment. You can't sit on grass or inside garden, which is a must during picnic with the kids.

Beautifully maintained historic place declared as National Heritage, here mahatma Gandhi stayed at night prior to historic event of breaking the salt law in April 1930, which is stepping foundation stone of civil disobedience movement in Indian history of independence. This two storay old buildings is still in very good condition. Inside 4 rooms different portrait and statue showcasing effects of Dandi March were gloriously displayed. Cleanliness is remarkable.

felt proud of Gandhiji and the 80 men who joined the Efforts of Salt Satyagrah. Got impress with the skill of artisans who made such beautiful figures with metal to depict the picturesque history. Appreciate the engineering for creating such a pleasant ambience and such great lights, all operating with solar supply. Even the solar panels were installed with beautiful design.... it's all great!!!
