A beautiful place for a walk with a view away from it all, with gardens and greenhouses on the premises and a nice cafe in the castle. ! If travelling on foot, better access from the southern entrance through the bridge

I remember coming here as a kid and absolutely hating the place. That said, what the county has some or whomever has done is amazing. It is a phenomenal place to visit. Beautiful sea views, a great castle, two shops, and probably the best playground my kids have experienced. Don't miss it if you have kids and are in the area.

Great place for family day out. It has a big and safe playground and also has the most clean and big public toilets I have ever seen anywhere in Ireland.

Very beautiful place, castle grounds are lovely maintained, plenty of parking, dog friendly (on leash) but when quit we leave our dog off leash sometimes. Cafe has good options as well for drinks and cake 🎂 very good place and great picnic area with loads of tables and bins!

Beautiful spot for a walk! During the Summer hours there's usually somewhere to get coffee but even when there's not it's great for a bit of air and the views. Molly loves it there! 😊 Easy to get to from the motorway. Narrow country roads with homes for some of the spin so obviously drive safely. Seems to be getting some restoration work done atm.

Beautiful grounds and views for a walk. The castle us under renovation with scaffolding outside but the tours are available. Would come back once this is completed.

Lovely place & grounds to visit. There is a little cafe in the castle that you can go to have a bite to eat. There is also a playground for the kids, we go there all the time & have a brilliant day & time there.

Such a beautiful estate! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and was so funny! The Cafe has delicious food. I saw my first ever Monkey Puzzler tree.

The castle is under maintenance so it's just scaffolding around the castle. It's a bit disappointing because we came all the way from the south dublin to the castle. The garden is still opening and it's beautiful. Nice walk on a sunny day

A lovely walk, rain or shine. Always something new to see in the fabulous gardens. Friendly horticultural experts one of whom kindly identified a mystery plant we had only a photo of. Brambles café for refreshments indoors or out on the lawn. I usually come away with a jar of plum jam 😋
