Wei Sawdong or the three level waterfalls is a must must visit while you are in Sohra. This is way more beautiful than you will see in the pictures. The catch is reaching here . . . .it's a bit tricky . It will take about 30 to 45 minutes for you to reach to this waterfalls and the route is completely downhill . On the way you will get a detour which will take you a view point of the falls from the top . You can get some fantastic pictures here . The path is quite dangerous with some weak bamboo bridges etc . . . Visiting this place in monsoon is definitely not good idea . Go with proper trekking shoes.some some people in flip flops and high heels and they were struggling to go down . It's a proper trek to reach the falls and trust me it's worth it !!!

It's simply breathtaking. The trek downwards takes about 30-45min. The terrain is quite rugged and raw after a point. Definitely advisable to wear suitable clothing and trekking footwear. The hardship would all be worth once you reach. Mid way another path leads to the Wei saw dong falls viewpoint. Would recommend if there's enough time and energy at your disposal. This is simply a must visit.

It's a beautiful and one of the best waterfall in meghalaya also known as 3 layered waterfall. For one to reach they have to descend for about 30-45min through steep steps but the view in the end is worth the hardship. Water is crystal clear and one can see through it. Signboard says swimming is prohibited but few were still inside the waters. In March it was bit dry but ideal time would be to visit during and post monsoon.

One of the best waterfalls of Meghalaya. It would take some of your effort and energy to reach the base of the waterfall but once you reach there it will amaze you with its beauty. Three layers of falls which look like three pots from the waterfall viewpoint. If you are not willing to go to the base you can go to the viewpoint and have the amazing view and take snaps. Just superb and fantastic. Wooden stairs and a little bit of difficulty to reach the base but it is certainly worth it and just amazing.

An amazing waterfall, if you're willing to endure a 10 minute trek. The trek is arduous considering that you've to climb down some makeshift ladders which are wet and wobbly, at times. It can be done, provided you are careful. The reward at the end is however surely worth it. There's ample parking available clear off the road & a great viewpoint towards the valley, below the parking. Didn't see a toilet there. Swimming & entering the water is not permitted. Pl look out for the markings on the ground, on the trail, if you intend to reach the bottom of the fall. Don't miss it...

Wei Sawdong is the most beautiful and pristine waterfall in Meghalaya. You need to climb down through stone steps and bamboo ladders to get to the base of the waterfall. During rainy season the bamboo ladders can be quiet slippery. There is also a view point from where you get to see all the 3 layers of the waterfall. You get the best view of the waterfall from this view point. The climb down is steep and you need to be very careful. After you get down it's one of the beautiful sights. It is a natural pool of water and if you know swimming it will be as if swimming in Paradise. Currently swimming is allowed. If you want to get into the water it’s best to carry extra clothes and towel. There is no changing room though. Car parking is by the road side and there is a nominal parking fee. Also if you go further on the road there is a proper car parking space

This is one of the most beautiful falls I'll probably ever see in my life! Period. Crystal clear water flowing down some amazing lime stones carved over ages by the river. A must visit for any person who can get down some tricky and steep bamboo stairs. People who are good swimmers can take a dip as the pool is around 12-18ft in depth. One can go to the lowest and also climb to the upper first pool from the bottom.

The falls are located in a valley. It is quite a difficult trek to the falls from the main road. It is a small distance, but very steep. One can easily make it to the falls view point. After the view point the path turns into wooden ladders which you have to go down to reach the water. The waterfall is a breathtaking creation. It is a must visit if you are visiting Cherrapunji. People are allowed to bathe provided the water level is not too dangerous. (People are not permitted to trek beyond the view point in monsoon.)

This was my second visit to Wei Sawdong falls today, but sadly this falls has been closed by the local police due to some land disputes, that the local passersby informed. This is a breath taking piece of nature, where the water cascades over four layers and totally enchants you.

If you are not a Trek person. This place is not for you.. A long trek with very steep corners, a wonderful trek experience. The weather was extremely pleasant. And of course, the end (spot) is beautiful. Better to go early, spend some time with nature. One of the beautiful spots for pictures.

One of the mesmerising waterfalls of meghalaya!! You will be stunned seeing the view of this three layered falls. When I reached this place the water wasn’t clear since it had rained a day before, if there is no rain then the water will be crystal clear and blue. But this view also has it own beauty. You have to trek down to reach this falls Must must must visit place in Cherrapunji , Meghalaya

If you missed this, u haven't still fully seen shillong. To get the full view of the fall, don't go down just stop at the view point. Then proceed down. It's close to sohra. Needs to walk 10 min trekking and highly recommended to safely walk. there are small shops for eating Maggi snacks.

This is one of the best waterfalls I have experienced so far! Its beauty is on a different level. The camera lens can't do justice to the view. The water was so clean and cold. We sat there for a good amount of time and didn't feel like leaving. The important thing to know here is, the trek to reach this waterfall is not tough but it's very tiring especially while coming back. It surely takes effort to be able to experience this mesmerising beauty. The stones are slippery, so please be careful when you are at the waterfall. Enjoy responsibly and please do not litter!

Definitely a must visit place if you are in Meghalaya. Currently it's closed due to some conflicts and they have even sabotaged the route to the waterfall to ensure no one visits this. Hopefully it should open soon.

One of the best waterfalls to visit in meghalaya. The way to the waterfall is serene and between barren lands. The trek is not cumbersome but on the bamboo sticks to the waterfall one has to be extremely careful. After you get down it's one of the beautiful sights. Make sure to climb up to the first tier of the falls. There is a natural pool of water and if you know swimming it is Paradise.

Best place in Sohra. Among the waterfalls my personal favourite is this one. First of all , the thrills you get while climbing down those paths , slippery steps made of branches of tree. Damn! Next the view is mind blowing once you reach down. I fell in love with the falls. We stayed there for almost half the day. Amazing and worth it.

Meghalaya never fails to amaze you with its majestic collection of scenic trails and landscapes. Wei Sawdong is one of the many spectacular sights that Cherapunji offers you with. Be it any season, it's never a disappointment. The crystal clear water and the pockmarked surface on which it runs can be reached after a quite a challenging journey. So anybody who's up for a bit of adventure filled journey to a natural swimming pool, must visit this place.

👍👍 You have to do little trekking to reach the caves. The caves are superb and so fascinating. There are snakes too so be careful because it's a dense forest area.
