I
waited
more
than
an
hour
and
STILL
didn’t
see
the
doctor.
My
appointment
was
at
4,
I
had
to
leave
at
5:10
because
the
doctor
was
still
busy.
(It
was
my
first
appointment,
supposedly,
of
many
to
come).
It’s
so
frustrating
to
just
wait
and
wait
and
see
no
end.
Not
to
mention
the
inconvenience
of
the
whole
clinic
not
being
covered
by
any
insurance
company
and
the
hassle
of
reimbursement.
Still
you
at
least
expect
good
service.
Forget
service,
you
expect
a
minimal
level
of
punctuality.
But
when
waiting
over
an
hour
at
a
first
appointment,
the
whole
place
looses
the
professionalism
it
should
exude
for
a
patient
to
trust
the
caregiver.
I
know
that
at
any
health
facility
delays
can
be
expected.
Sure,
emergencies
happen.
Ten,
fifteen,
even
half
an
hour
can
be
excused.
Anything
more,
then
I
expect
to
receive
a
call
asking
me
to
push
my
appointment,
or
reschedule.
Not
just
me,
all
the
following
patients.
However,
Genesis
Healthcare
chose
a
different
path.
“Make
the
patient
wait
and
see
who
storms
out
first.”
It’s
me,
I
stormed
out
first.
Update:
As
I
mentioned
in
my
review,
emergencies
happen.
I’m
not
one
to
think
these
things
are
out
of
the
ordinary.
And
indeed
the
nurse
kept
informing
of
the
delay.
She
informed
me
over
and
over
for
1
hour
and
more.
Each
time
saying
that
it’s
almost
done.
What
the
clinic
fails
to
understand
is
that,
while
informing
the
patient
is
essential,
why
wasn’t
I
told
that
this
will
push
my
appointment
for
over
an
hour.
Again,
emergencies
happen;
fine,
tell
your
upcoming
patients
before
they
come
or
as
soon
as
they
arrive.
“Listen
guys
we
had
an
emergency
we’re
going
to
have
to
push
your
appointments.”
Easy,
clean,
understandable.
The
response
received
from
the
clinic
doesn’t
acknowledge
the
possibility
of
inconvenience
and
frustration
to
the
patient.
Furthermore,
an
apology
would
probably
have
sufficed.
Please
note
that
my
review
is
not
targeting
the
doctor
or
the
level
of
healthcare
the
clinic
provides,
I
never
got
to
that
part.
