Bait Al Naboodah is very interesting and I think must visit place in old Sharjah, ticket costs just 10 AED. Within 1 hour of our visit, we’ve learned a lot about pearl industry, trade, Sharjah development and traditional architecture, everyday life and etc. Indeed, the museum did a remarkable job; stuff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Don’t hesitate, just go there and enjoy.

Bait Al Naboodah, the house of Naboodah, tells a story how wealthy Naboodah family lived in former Sharjah. Unluckily only the ground floor was open. As a part of history of Sharjah trip worth of visit.

A very interesting house museum in heart of Sharjah! This was the house of a pearl trader in 1840s and the house expanded to fit the extended family and it was restored to tell the story of this Trader and the traditional life style of Emirates! You can have a guided tour or to participate in the activity room (family friendly) all included in the ticket fees which is 10 ED only! It takes around less than one hour to complete the full tour and read the panels.

One of most beautiful heritage houses in the region, where you travel to the past. I highly recommend people to visit it to know more about how the life was in Sharjah in late 80’s and early 90’s.

The Museum is located inside a historic house, carefully restored and combines historical exposure with images of everyday life of the past. Some rooms summarize the history of pearl fishing and the wealth that came from the collection of pearls. From the end of the 19th century until the 1930s, Sharjah experienced a period of wealth because the pearl trade was profitable and everyone worked. Then, when pearls began to be cultivated in Japan, prices went down and there was a great crisis, completely overcome only with the discovery of oil. The visit is carried out by visiting the rooms that open onto the courtyard, in some of which the rooms of the past have been reconstructed: a kitchen, a bedroom, other rooms. Then continue to the upper floor, where there was the summer bedroom, designed to be cooler. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The visit opens reflections on the history of Sharjah and helps to better understand the lives of its inhabitants.

Th best local museum with renewed gallery spaces. The space could be booked for cultural awareness sessions is coordination with the museum curator. Highly recommended. They also offer free workshops for kids. Please call the museum for confirmation timings and dates. Local events such mid of shaaban celebrations take place here. Bait Al Naboodah first opened its doors on November 14, 1995. It reopened its doors on April 08, 2018 after renovation and restoration. Here we can explore the authentic architectural designs of traditional Emirati houses, as well as about the lifestyle and values of our ancestors. This house is a unique model of the marvelous Sharjah architecture.

Great place to experience the Emiratis ways of life & living. The entry ticket is 10 AED but if you're travelling with a person above 60, entry is free for them and for you too, as their companion. Weekdays are usually not that busy & you get to go through the entire museum at your own leisurely pace!

was built in 1845. It is an outstanding example of its style and features fine carved teak wood from India 🇮🇳 reflective of the wealth and status of its owner, the pearl merchant Obaid Bin Isa Bin Ali Al Shamsi, who was known as Al Naboodah. Most beautiful house in heart of sharjah 💕

Good place to visit with kids, family, or friends. It is a house of someone, that now become a museum. The architecture design is beautiful. There are a lot of room, a lot of things, picture, etc that show us about the history of the place. The place is clean, but not too big, and not all room opened. They also will serve us the traditional coffee and tea. But i feel not comfortable, because the security always following me and other people everywhere we go.
