Visited Bhavna Restaurant the very old and popular joint at Meena Bazar. It's a small cute restaurant. It is yet another Indian Gujarati/Rajasthani style pure vegetarian and thali type small eatery. we had their thali and we were not disappointed. We found this place great, cheap, healthy home style cooking. They also serve some great savouries and snacks. They have separate sweets and chaat counter as well. Our food was very tasty. Great for working people and it is value for money. We loved their Gujrati Thali and fafda a lot. If you are true Gujarati then you should definitely visit this restaurant. Service was quick, and value for money.

They know how to make tasty vegetarian foods! Went there because of good reviews, but didn't know it was that cheap - buffet AED20 per person...

I'm a big fan of their weekend and weekday buffets. The gujrati dal that they serve with rice is heaven, always reminds me of my mothers handmade gujrati dal. Their buffet is a must try for the dal specially. also they make amazing jalebi and patra. I got all my diwali sweets last year from bhavna and they were good too,but their buffet is totally out of the world! Never imagined i could eat a gujrati thali just for 17 AED in dubai!

Need to improve the ambiance and smell as you enter the restaurant so that a normal person does not feel like vomiting. Food is good no doubt especially the chapathis. Not appeasing for a customer to sit for long time and enjoy the meal.cleanliness needs to be taken care big time

One of the typical gujarati restaurants serving the ethnic taste of Gujarati food in Dubai.. farsan Sweet and thali all good in taste and quality. .. Regularly having khaman , PURI BAHJI gives a homely feel . And the masala is just awesome

Very good option in everyday meal for lunch and dinner. Their veg Gujarati Thali is worth having. They provide unlimited Thali at very nominal rate and food and service is very good. Must try once for sure...

One of the worst restaurant road side dhaba in Bur Dubai, Meena Bazar, unhigene food with lots of oil floating, waiters are serving panipuri without wearing hand gloves, mosquitoes all around the tables, staff are rudely behaved with their customers including the restaurant owner...government should take strict action against these restaurant owner and the staff..strongly not recommended to any people

Another place where vegetarian food is as simple as you feel at home... breakfast super paratha, puri bhaaji, etc and top it up with Masala Chai... or karak ... my dad's favourite too...! Love you Dad for introducing it to me.

This food was not Gujatati cuisine. Paneer capsicum is not from Gujarat. Their food is good but for daily basis and not authentic. It was made in 1978 and since then the interiors are the same. No bad smell and staff is nice and friendly

It's a very famous place among the Indian tourist of Dubai, due to it's Indian traditional food which is indian tourist missed here in Dubai. It has a Verity of Indian traditional foods available here. But the Indian tourist mostly preferred the Gujarati thali of this restaurant. Because of the people visiting this place are mostly gujrati, which is from Gujarat state of India. It's the first restaurant of Dubai's famous Bur Dubai areas Meena Bazar market.

I have been frequenting this restaurant since the mid 80's. The "Puri Bhaji" & "Paratas" are definitely top notch which seems be the most popular dish throughout the day (time extended upon request from loyal diners). Staff are friendly in general, but the only disappointment is that Lunch/Dinner is served as a buffet making the tables very messy. My only suggestion for them is to return to their old hospitable style of serving in person with so much love

This is a pure Gujarati restaurant originally established in 1976 , small as it is but has a lot of space upstairs. All kinds of Gujarati snacks plus Thali, it is a buffet style and eat as much as you want . Prices are very reasonable. Their tea is a must .

If this restaurant is owned by Nilesh Joshi and his brothers , I have had the best meals here for $10.00 in 1992. I used to work at Jobros retail owned by Nilesh Joshi. Hope Nilesh, his beautiful wife Varsha and his daughter Nikita are well. Best wishes. Natalie from Australia

the restaurant in Dubai which do not accept Credit cards - It used to be very good old veg restaurant in BurDubai many years back, now a days looks unhygienic and quality is not good, they have more monthly mess customers and not worried about others

Very tasty Gujarat thali i had here. For thali lover must visit place. It very old and famous restaurant in Bur Dubai, authentic Gujarati thali.

Went here last week to get diwali sweets and namkeen. Good and fast customer service. Got delicious mithai that melts in your mouth for a reasonable rate. Mixing option is also available to buy different sweets. Didn't buy thali, but it looked tasty and filling. Can't wait to visit Bhavna again :)

Delicious Gujarati meals - their weekend thali is an absolute delight. Undiyo, khichdi, dum aloo, aam ras in summer... yum! Delicious dhokla and Dhabeli too. Their sweets are worth bringing home. As you can tell, one of my favourite places : )

One of the best and oldest Gujarati vegetarian restaurants in Dubai. great food, taste has always been consistent. Just hope the ambience can be improved.

  • 1/5 Dhairya D. 1 year ago on Google
Just had a worse experience, I personally suggest don't ever try to visit there especially after 4 PM for thali. It's not worth it to spend 17 AED for leftover food. In this era it's weird not to accept card payment and only cash.

  • 1/5 Simran K. 1 year ago on Google
Now this is a restaurant you must stay away from. Astonished to see the low level of hygiene and quality here in Dubai. They call it a buffet not a Thali. But all they have is 5 vessels of food lying open, unheated and uncovered. For salad they have some sliced onions. Pickle in a plastic jar. Some fryums which was made ages ago (maybe yesterday!) Worst is, it’s not even worth calling it gujarati cuisine. The food is overly spicy, oil floating on top. The only dry vegetable was potato in a spicy masala. The waiters are casual and untrained with how to serve the people. Let me not even get to the ambience. Suffice it to say that it had peeling paint, ugly chairs and tables and wet spoons to add to the fun. Go at your own risk!

  • 5/5 Bindu S. 1 year ago on Google
Food is excellent. The thali is best meal. They are so polite and kind and they even made puris for us because we said we didnt want rotli.

Food is below average.... 21 AED not worth it for buffet dinner and items were missed match... There should be proper menu Very disappointed😞 The place was not clean... Small cockroaches are roming in restaurants.

The restaurant serve Indian Gujarati dishes, located in the meena bazaar. You can find anything from Gujarati cuisine and south indian dishes in budget.

  • 5/5 Jayanti P. 1 year ago on Google
Best Vegetarian restaurant for Indian. Everyone should go there. Super pani puri and tea. This is 30 years in Dubai meena bazaar. For Gujrati very good

Took Friday lunch parcel. Half the things were not packed, no puris, no chapatis, no butter milk. Absolute fraud! And as one knows, finding parking on Sunday is a nightmare so no one will come back for the missing item. AVOID at all cost. There are other tons of more honest and better vegetarian options within 200 meters. Shame!

  • 5/5 Arif Ali K. 7 months ago on Google
One of the best experiences in Gujrati style puri and aaloo bhujiya. Dry and crisp puri...not oily. An experience not to be missed. Incidentally you can't go wrong with the price :-D

  • 1/5 Sanjay D. 5 months ago on Google
I think counter staffs are not efficent if they are in that case we would have seen few more branches . For example whenever we ordered they will not send complete order . Like if you order Sabudana Khichadi and Lassi they will not send straw and spoon and with sabudana khichadi others are giving curd but they will not send if you will call and ask them they will send the person with curd , straw and spoon .

  • 3/5 Prayag P. 6 months ago on Google
Decent Gujrati Food Options. Nice wait staff (only saving grace) and obnoxious owner with Galactic scale ego. The door doesn't read it, but as per owner rights of admission reserved for people who arrive in respectable rides (car or electric bike ok, human paddled bicycle riders may have to pass credit rating).
