One of the least explored destination here in Sharjah that needed to be discovered and highlighted as well for it offers one of the best view and experience. During my tour I didn’t hesitate to ask questions to every guide I saw. As it is the home of hundreds of species of birds, Wasit idea of establishing their location is beyond incredible. How the trees fenced the entire area of the lake-water to lower temperature and provide shade and shelter to the birds is a realization of their major role especially during these days of climate change. I also like how the place is well maintained. Also, to travelers like me, I recommend you to come here during cold season especially December-January-February as to one of the guides told me, these are the months that migrant birds flock here as they follow the cold weather. 😊 Lastly, I knew from here that their lake water is natural and not artificial. 😉 Happy exploring! 🫶

Beautiful n perfect place to learn about migratory birds, the importance of wetlands, and the impact of human behavior to other species. There is a lot of information, so take your time to enjoy n learn, not only to look at the birds. The tickets are available at the entrance with the security team. The price is 10 aed per person. All the staff are very helpful n friendly. There is 1 long galleria, 1 activity room, 1 souvenir shop , 1 cafeteria , a few restrooms facilities, and a Safari style boogie that takes you to the observation points. Ideally, visit during winter or after 3 pm during winter. My 7 yrs old daughter really liked it. We will be back in summer for sure. 😉👍🏼✔️

Such a lovely place! Truly a hidden gem. From the well maintained enclosures with a wide range of birds to the buggy ride along the lake, it was a very memorable and relaxing experience. In celebration of the National Day they served free lunch that was very homey and delicious. It's the perfect place to go to if you're looking for a scenic and tranquil getaway. The entry fee was DHS 15 per person for adults, a very reasonable charge for the total experience. Staff were very friendly and every inch of the property was clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend!

An urban oasis awaits in the heart of the city! This destination is perfect for bird enthusiasts, thanks to the excellent conservation efforts by the Sharjah government in maintaining the wetland. The spacious aviaries provide ample room for birds to roam freely in a clean and lush green environment. Visited with my daughter and 3year old grandson. We enjoyed walking around the display area of birds and identifying different birds from the information boards. Also, the footprints are a good game. The wall puzzles are great, too. Young children and over 60s get in free. The only issue was the lack of fresh water for some(not all) of the birds it looked green/stagnant, and the birds didn't look happy, especially the pelicans :(. We then went on the mini safari trip and saw the wildlife. The shop was good to look around and buy gifts and reminders of our trip. We think we'd come again.

Nice place for a weekend outing with family. Indoor and out door trip included in AED15 tickets . Indoor birds view is quick and will finish fast . Outdoor buggy drive is really awesome with birds view. Drivers will stops on the view points. For better view go on the season time. Outdoor drive in the buggy is really worth , a man made forest in the middle of Sharjah.Loved the place ❤️❤️❤️.

It is a great place and full of information about the animals specially birds. The kids will really enjoy this place. There are two trips one inside and one outdoor. The weather has to be good for the outdoor lookout area. The waiting for the club car outside needs to be improved as you need to wait for a while and it is not good when you have kids and they cannot tolerate the sun especially if the sitting area is full. If you go on the weekend it could be slightly busy and queuing until you enter with your car, but try to come early always. Thank you for this amazing trip and place.

Spectacular view very nice weather a good variety of birds. I was very amazed that I’m seeing some birds for the first time seems that were rare. we took the tour with bus but the roads were bumpy it could have been more organized. The tour guy did not allow us to stay in some place. It was maximum 2 to 3 minutes, I loved the lake and it’s good place for family.

Hidden gem. Didn't know about this serene place. Good for a visit and 2 hour passtime. Well maintained. No permission to walk inside the forest area. We can go only in buggy cars. Probably this is the reason why the entire campus is 100% clean. Kids below 12 are not charged and for adults the entry fee is only AED 15 per head.

This is a good place to spend time for families. They will enjoy the different species of birds and the inside tour. We did not expect the tour to be long. Ita like almost 20minutes. And we recommend you to visit before 3pm so you can stop at all the bird viewing point. If you want a "nature feels", we recommend this place.

Loved the place. A lot of different kind of birds are there and you will find plenty of information there. Dont forget to take the jungle ride which is around 4.5 KM long. Although on weekend they did not allow to stop during that ride but the driver informed that during normal days, they do stop the buggy at certain observation points. As it was summer, the outer ride was not so enjoyable. It was a wonderful experience in the indoor. Happy to see the birds in open area... You can get tickets at the security gate. Nice car parking space inside. Better to visit after summer.

We visited the center today. Due to covid the club car ride is closed, but we were able to view the birds sanctuary. We went with our friends and their kids enjoyed thoroughly. It was a change of atmosphere. Can’t say that they had a wide variety of birds, but whatever was there was well set. All the informations regarding the birds are well explained all around the center and it’s very neat.

This is good place to visit with kid Don’t forget to ride on battery car. It available at entry and fare included in ticket prices. There are many places comes on the way for viewing. Driver don’t stop at any of these and give reason that there is nothing see here.

Just Wow… If you are a full time worker and you only got 1 day in a week to relax..This is the perfect spot.. you can be as much relaxed in the indoor bird watching there is air conditioning so you will not feel the heat outside but through there big glass windows you will feel like you are outside with the birds.. very mind refreshing and peaceful are to spend your time.. However, once you get here, far from feeling bad for the birds, you’ll be gaping at them in wonder, even admiring how well they’re taken care of here. In the cooler months you can also enjoy a ‘mini-safari’ around the reserve in a buggy and get up and close with the wildlife.

Very nicely maintained. Takes around 1-1.5 hrs max to see the whole place including the buggy tour. Buggy tour takes u around the lake where u can spot some animals if your lucky.

Only 20 peoples are allowed now at a time, outdoor is closed only indoor observatory is open. We reached there by taxi and waited for almost 30 minutes but they didn't allowed us to enter the park. When coming back empty handed we faced huge transportation issues as no public transport or even taxis were hardly available in this area. Walked for almost 1.5 km and fortunately got a taxi finally to drop us home. If sharjah has developed this place as a tourist attraction then a public transport system should have been also considered. Strongly recommend to go with your own vehicle otherwise you have to be stuck in this deserted area.

It was ok as they did a very short trip without any Information or tour. If you're a nature lover, you'd be amazed. A place very well kept in the midst of the city. Though we went in the summer, it was nice. And the cost is cheap too . For 15 dirhams a person you get a buggy ride and also see the birds from inside the facility. There's a place at the extreme end of indoor facility where you can sit and watch in the comfort of air conditioner. There were not many people. We reached early and even though it was a weekend there were only few others. Planning to go again when the weather is good and do a hiking.

Wasit wetland is indeed a very beautiful place, be it for bird watching or to take a walk down their track, walking requires special permission, and the kids are not allowed. When you buy your tickets and enter you will be asked to visit the bird enclosures, they do have a great collection of birds in there, this is very well maintained and very clean, you will get to watch these birds through the glass, and you will be staying inside the air conditioning all the time in here. After the bird view there is a buggy ride where they take you around the lake. The staff here are super friendly and informative. Ample car parking space available just in front of the main gate.

Visited with my family. Best place for a bird watcher. Very clean and organised. The staff are cooperative (from security to the officers) I took my DSLR camera and shot several shots. When you enter the the parking area you'll feel that you are not inside UAE because the ambience so relaxing because of the trees and plants inside is luxuriant and green. It is nice to see different breed of birds. There is also a golf car that will tour you around the lake.

Very informative & recreational. A great place to visit if you’re looking for quiet, serene, nature vibes away from the city. Couldn’t really rate the whole place aside from the indoor observatory because of covid - outdoor activities are not operational. But it’s still worth a visit. Although the tour will approximately last you 15-25 mins, there are interactive areas for the kids as well to keep them entertained while seeing different species of birds up close with a detailed information about each of them (i.e. life span, breeding, brief description & a lot more). There’s also a cafeteria should you need to take a break & just take in the view.

Right now not worrh 15AED per person, as it is restricted for 1 hour and major part of the park is closed.

This is one the hidden gems of the UAE. It is quiet and understated but an incredible place to visit. This reserve is of particular appeal if you are looking to visit with kids or if you love photography. There is two parts to the reserve. One is the safari around the lake and the second is the indoor bird viewing area. Entrance is quite cheap and this is a great place to experience nature an click some amazing photographs. If you have the time, I would recommend the photo walk / bird watching walk.

There is both indoor and outdoor visiting area. Outdoor visiting area is accompanied by battery operated vehicles which is very relaxing and interesting. Loved the walk around the wetlands which was around 4.6kms. Did not get to see any birds except a few through the observatories along the way. This is the best weather to walk and take in the scenery. There are plenty of buggies to take you around if you are not fond of walking. The indoor viewing area also has a lots of birds.

It's a great place to see some rare birds. Would have been better if there were some guides to explain the detailing of the birds. Also, the timing of the visit is quite critical. We went when there were no migratory birds, but I would imagine it would be great to see the birds in the natural environment of the wetlands.
