Wonderful place for a family outing, specially for kids. Ticket 0-2 years free, 5-12 years 5 dhs and adults 10 dhs. For elderly people they allow one person free entry with them. The whole place can be viewed in 1½ hour. At the end of the tour the kids get to paint an earthen pot for free and the adults can paint a tile. There is also a souvenir shop. The bathrooms are really clean. It closes at 8 pm so keep around 30-40 minutes for pottery painting. Very friendly staff.

This zoo is very convenient to go if your in Abu Dhabi. Half of the place is indoor air-conditioning for us and rest is out side. You can have a very clear view of the animals from the glass 👌🥰😍 You have birds show. You have many more shows like sea lion dancing. This place is worth going and not too expensive. Its a fun place with kids. They will really enjoy it.

The entrance fee is cheap and I enjoyed it for about 2 hours. It's good to study, and it's good to have an exhibition that is not just to see. It was good that there was a corner where you could actually experience treasure hunting and house building.

What a beautiful museum. It's now my daughter's favorite spot on the planet. There are numerous enjoyable activities for children. The main attraction is "The Dig," where children can dress up as archaeologists and search for artifacts in the sand (these pieces are actual replicas of objects in the museum!) Isn't it amazing? Furthermore, there are interactive displays and numerous activities available throughout the exhibitions, ranging from ceramic restoration to coloring hieroglyphs to puzzles or playing hand shadow on the wall. Highly recommend it.

Sharjah Archeological Museum offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich and deep-rooted history of Sharjah. Reports of many excavations and expeditions have shown that humans have been settled in Sharjah for more than 125.000 years. The museum sheds light on the lifestyle of the region’s inhabitants from the Stone age up to the rise of Islam. The museum contains all the archaeological artifacts that were discovered in Sharjah. The mission of the museum is to preserve, interpret, and exhibit all the artifacts that have been found in Sharjah since the beginning of the excavations in 1973 up until now.

As soon as you enter the museum you are faced with a serene and harmonious atmosphere. I was greeted by the staff in an excellent way and given the best directions to visit the museum. The rooms are large and the artifacts are harmonious and organic, interspersed with explanatory videos and signs describing the materials on display. It is also worth noting the attention paid to the didactic path and the fact that every indication is easily understandable even for children. The museum is therefore an example of exhibition and teaching, which allows visitors and scholars to meet the daily life, customs and habits of the ancient people of this beautiful country.

Nicely laid out museum to tell the story of the emirate people before the discovery of oil. The changes took place after 1972. It is mind blowing to see the way life was just a short time ago.. Artifacts are well maintained and you do not need a guide to enjoy your visit. Story boards are in English and well done. It takes about an hour to do justice to the exhibits. I think" tweens" would even enjoy the visit.

It was amazing experience for kids They were excited to know all about archaeologists. What they do, how they do, their procedure instruments work style. How old life was Real history of earlier human life. A good exposure with lots of knowlegde and artifacts available at this museum. The best part was when they became an archaeologist and start digging sand to find out amazing artifacts hidden inside. Recomonded for all. And thanks to the museum for the free workshop. Kids were amazed with such experience. Now they are sharing their experience with everyone. Don't have much photographs but sharing few we took. Thanks

This museum offers you the opportunity to explore the rich heritage and deep-rooted history of Sharjah. The reports of many excavation expeditions showed that humans have settled in Sharjah for a period of not less than 125.000 years. The museum sheds light on the lifestyle of the region’s inhabitants from the stone, modern, and the following ages until the rise of Islam.Sharjah Archaeology Museum first opened its doors in 1993. The mission of the museum is to preserve, interpret, and exhibit all the artifacts that have been found in Sharjah since the beginning of the excavations in 1973 up until now. The continuous excavations showed that Sharjah boasts a proud, rich deep-rooted history. Settlements and villages were built on its land thousands of years ago. Visitors get the chance to learn about the civilizations that developed in the region since the Stone Age up until today through the artifacts, currencies, jewelry, pottery and ancient weapons showcased in the museum. The archaeological findings reveal the connections and relations between Sharjah inhabitants and their neighbours in the Arabian Peninsula, as well as with other civilizations. They also show the expansion of commercial relationships from the east of the Indus Valley to the west of the Mediterranean islands. Explore the tombs, cemeteries and houses through the models displayed in the museum, and learn about the first forms of writing which appeared in this area more than 2500 years ago. I have been a frequent visitor to Emirates Park Zoo and love watching all sorts of animals. I recently visited during National Day Holidays and loved it again. Pros: Staff reminding visitors to maintain social distance and the food at "The Hide" was amazing. Elephant Show was amazing. Cons: Some of the enclosures were closed and couple of them converted to generate more money.

The zoo was an amazing experience. I went last week with friends. I had a really good time here. It’s best to go during winter months so you can go early in the afternoon. You can pet some of the animals and feed them at a cost. Cafes and restaurants are very pricey. Overall experience was great.

I loved the Museum. Especially the grave finds with groups of scelettons in perfect shape, with their jewellery still in place. But also the rich collection of objects starting from the stone age up to late pre-islamic times. I had been out to the Mleiha Archeological Center before, which made the visit of the museum even more meaningful, having seen some of the excavation sites where the objects were found. I recommend visiting also the Mleiha Archelogical Center, which offer different activities to discover not only the archeological sites, but also experience the desert and outdoors activities of various types.

Also it seemed like it was a little Souq (shopping) as well. I dont think alot of people know about this place, and it seemed like they were renovating it a bit... Still worth going for pictures and shopping souvenirs

Nice place to go with kids, family, or friends. There are a lot of things inside the building. It will show and give information about the culture of UAE. Like the traditional clothes, the dates, traditional games, etc. And there is small space for kids to listen about traditional story. Also we can go upstair to see around from the top. The place is not too big, but it still good to visit. The staff is so kind, and he give me a cup of traditional coffee and dates. It is so delicious. Love it

A lot of unique animals that I never saw from Al Ain zoo. Enjoyed feeding the giraffe for only 10aed. Worth the money. My only concern is the cages for some animals especially the birds are too small for them to play around. All in all I enjoyed my time.suitable for family with kids because they can walk around without getting tired. I recommend to come in the morning to avoid crowd.

My experience is amazing @emirates park zoo... the place is so clean, good ambience, a perfect place to relax... and the hotel is so nice and the room is so big... two thumbs up!!! thank you

  • 5/5 Shelat S. 3 years ago on Google
We stayed in the resort for a night. You get free access to the zoo with the booking. If you are an animal lover, this will be your heaven then! The rooms have been renovated, lovely interiors makes you feel you are in one of Kenya’s resorts. When there, meet Abby the friendly Giraffe, she responds to her name, try calling her and you will see her coming toward you. It’s less crowded during the week days. So we had Abby’s attention most of the time haha! You may also book “breakfast with giraffe”, always fully booked. Make sure you book it online ahead of time. Great experience for families with kids I believe.

First the bad, the zoo is a bit far from the city, gets a bit overcrowded and parking is hard to find over the weekends. Now that's out of the way, It's a remarkable zoo and offers a lot of animals in a small walkable area. The animal selection are wonderful and it's very hard to see all of them in a day because of the sheer amount of time you will need to spend. It's kid friendly and offers some refreshments, there is affordable feeding times for giraffe and elephant, there was a bird show and I thinking a seal show. The highlight of the zoo IMHO is the big cats, the lion, the cheetah, leopard, the Bengal and Siberia tigers. Anyone with grown kids would enjoy visiting this zoo and can easily entertain them for the whole day.

  • 4/5 Wendy A. 3 years ago on Google
It’s a great family place but very busy on weekends. Best time to go is in the afternoon from 1400. You can even feed some of the animals. The zoo takes extra efforts to ensure that humans don’t touch the animals, so if you visit please respect this!

Visitors get the chance to learn about the civilizations that developed in the Arab region from the Stone Age up until today, through the artifacts, coins, jewellry, pottery and ancient weapons showcased in the museum. The museum is a proof of Sharjah's successful excavations done by their archaeologists to find out the hidden secrets about the ancient men.

V Nice museum with lots of history details showing old era. They have a special area for children where they can dig the sand and find hidden treasure. Although it was not allowed to take it but still kids were happy with this activity. In 1-2 hour you can visit the whole museums but with kids 30-45min will be enough. Tickets: adults 10aed kids 5aed

It was just amazing, so informative, clean, temp checks are done at the entrance. The digging section was so fun, kids found alot of things and they have free workshops at the end of the tour. We chose the pottery one which is joining broken pieces and then they give you paint to decorate. Its free and comes included! Its surprising that you get to keep it in just 5 dhs!

A perfect place for history and archeology lovers. It's not a big museum so it maintains the interest of children till the end. Many acitivies to develop arcealogical enthusiasm. The description needed more explanation for serious history diggers though . Staff is very friendly. And the museum is done in a good taste.
