After visiting the Shindagha museum, I went to the Etihad Museum. You will witness the union of all 7 Emirates to build a better future for their people. The history of union, will help you understand the culture, the changes, the discoveries and the people behind such an amazing dream. A dream of one nation, and one future. The next visit after this would be the Future Museum. That would be the order to your visit.

Very underrated in my opinion. Stunning place and much informative about the Founding Fathers of the UAE. I was basically alone, and ticket was only 10AED (student, under 24 years old).

History of United Arab Emirates in pictures and video and a beautiful building. The structure of the building is like a manuscript. Please make sure you reach there before 7 pm because the ticket counter closes by then. The museum is closed by 8 pm but you can access the entrance hall and go around the garden and visit the Union Hall where the 7 leaders of the 7 Emirates signed the agreement to form UAE in 1971. Real Visionaries. Amazing country. Amazing progress.

Of the many wonderful eye-catching buildings in Dubai, the Etihad Museum building is one of the most iconic and seemingly simplistic yet very dramatic. Inside there are many individual and collective design points to the structure and each has a reason and significance. Walking through the history and story being told by the static and interactive displays helps you to appreciate what a momentous event this records at the end of the 1960s and start of 1970s. It would be easy to an outsider such as myself to disbelieve it was possible to get such a strategic agreement in the Emirates at that time in history. However, it is clear that the statesmanship shown and negotiations with a good deal of compromise brought together one of the most important agreements to occur roughly 50 years ago. During my early morning visit I was able to leisurely wander around the exhibits and read or 'experience' so much information and feel like it was a personal story being shared with me. Towards the end I was fortunate to be offered a guided visit to some of the more historical parts of the museum, my thanks to Katrina for helping me understand more about the official office, dining hall and meeting room, this really finished on a high point.

Great architecture of the museum, inside the content is limited given that there’s only about 30-40 years of history for the country. Great technology and exhibitions for the limited history

Omg! This was such an awesome, interactive experience learning about the history of the UAE! If you’re a “history buff”, this is for you. For a very small fee 25 AED, you can easily spend 2hrs+ here. They have actual artifacts and personal belongings of the UAE’s founding father(s) on display, interactive/engaging materials and a fun quiz towards the end to test your knowledge acquisition. The museum itself is a beautiful, futuristic architecture surrounded by the most beautiful smelling almond garden! There’s plenty of space to relax either outside, in the atrium or the garden. I went in the morning and it was just me for a while before a group joined but even then it wasn’t crowded at all. The attendants were all attentive and so gracious answering my questions and pointing out things I’d previously missed. I was so in love.. definitely the highlight of my Dubai vacation and look forward to my next trip! (No need to buy tickets ahead.. there’s an attendant right at the entrance to take payment).

Just from an architectural perspective, the building is a work of art. The entrance to the museum is designed to represent a folded manuscript supported on each side with 7 angled pillars to appear as pens compliment the manuscript. So much to be said for the building, but the museum is a great tribute to the 7 leaders of the 7 Emirates that came together on this site to sign a unifying declaration. Although I went to the museum to as a European looking for more of an sight to the history of the Emirates, there aren't a vast amount of artifacts but its still an interesting visit, even if it's just to see a 135 meter flagpole !!

Enlightening museum in a beautiful building. Very well curated history of the events leading up to the union and the development of the country since then. Lots of high tech interactive exhibits to display historical videos and artifacts. Definitely worth a visit. You will come away with a new appreciation for the founding sheikhs and the principles that the union was founded upon.

The auditorium played several interviews of sheikhs, the funding fathers of UAE. I recommend to take time to explore the exhibition hall patiently, also the gift store has high quality T-shirt;)

I liked the presentation of the museum, the history of how all the states of the UAE came together, I found it interesting, interactive, but the museum was a bit small. The other house is not open to the public, which is not good sign. A suggestion: In the library they could do an activity, like a debate or a lecture, it would be interesting.

Nice place to visit and learn about UAE history. There are mini-theatre rooms playing videos regularly and lots of interactive exhibits with trivia and some activities for kids. This place showcases a lot of interactive tech with the content which is highly appreciated. AED 25 adult entry fee. There is a coffee shop inside and it should take about 2 hours to explore the entire museum. There are 2 small buildings outside which are accessible only with a tour guide. Would recommend visiting after 2PM if you want to explore the outdoor area of the museum as it will be very hot in the afternoon. The place would also look nice with the lights. There is parking if you drive here but you might need to walk a bit to catch a taxi from the museum.

Al Etihad Museum is truly underrated. The engineering and architecture of this venue is truly breathtaking. I truly did not expect it to be this well designed and finished given the fact that it took only two years for its completion. The team that works at the museum is the sweetest you'll ever meet. I am very proud of their work and always ready to help, and they also provided walking tours to the union flag and other memorial buildings at 11 am and 5 pm. I feel the museum is in need of more historical information and experiences as it's a bit short on artifacts. Overall very pleased with the my visit. I am looking forward to my next visit in winter to enjoy the beautiful gardens.

One of the huge and beautiful museums of Dubai, depicting the founding leaders and the formation of union of UAE. It encasses a digitally brilliant display of uae's history and a detailed description of their leaders and achievements..Quite huge and clean in architecture..Parking is ample.. Restaurant is available by lake side..The staff was very friendly too..There was also a guided tour for the union house. The washrooms were also very well maintained..overall, a very good and informative place to spend your day..the ticket just costs 25 per adult and 20 dirhams in a group of plus 5..it was very less crowded even on weekends..

There are lots to see with Video and photos with prominent Leaders who shared their experience about the growth of UAE as what we see today. This museum is unique in terms of the traditional museums we usually see. The museum is located next to the Union House that marks the place where the rulers of all the emirates came together and agreed to unite to form the UAE. And the history of formation of Uae and its leaders are well depicted here. I found less artifacts when I visited 2 years ago. Hope they have filled with more by now.

The Etihad Museum (Arabic: متحف الاتحاد‎), historically called the Union House (Arabic: دار الاتحاد‎), is a museum in Dubai that collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. It holds everything from old passports to personal artifacts of the rulers of United Arab Emirates. The historic signing of the Constitution of the United Arab Emirates, the raising of the first UAE flag, and the formation of the United Arab Emirates as a country on 2 December 1971 took place within the area that forms the museum today. The museum is designed as a document to signify the signing of the UAE constitution.

A beautiful architectural building telling the story of UAE's formation on the historical site of the ceremonial signing. The focus is on the personalities of the leaders of the 7 different Emirates (but especially the main two from Abu Dhabi and Dubai) that led the unification effort. The story itself isn't that involved, so the limited number of displays are spread out across the vast space of the building. If you are expecting what you would normally see in a national museum, this one might seem underwhelming. If you know what to expect, the visit is very enjoyable.

Decent, but do not go out of your way to see it. The venue is stunning, but the content is more like a school field trip for a history lesson.

If you've been living here in Dubai and haven't been to this place, then you ought to give some time for it. The museum is fantastic. It stands in the historical place where the 1st flag of the UAE was raised. You also get a tour of the past. You get to see the private paintings collection of the Sheikh and also a tour of the palace where guests and VIPs were welcomed before. For 25aed, its all worth it.

A quick and laid-back trip packed with information. Lovely interior and interactive displays, but a little repetitive in terms of content. Understandably so because the UAE is very young...

The Etihad Museum historically called the Union House and formerly as the al-Diyafah Palace and the Jumeirah Guesthouse,is a museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. It holds everything from old passports to personal artifacts of the rulers of United Arab Emirates. the museum does an excellent job at telling it. Beautifully designed, airy halls present visitors a multitude of interactive displays and well-produced short films. depicting the founding leaders and the formation of union of UAE. It encasses a digitally brilliant display of uae's history and a detailed description of their leaders and achievements..Quite huge and clean in architecture..Parking is ample.. Restaurant is available by lake side..The staff was very friendly too..There was also a guided tour for the union house. The washrooms were also very well maintained..overall, a very good and informative place to spend your day..the ticket just costs 25 per adult and 20 dirhams in a group of plus 5..it was very less crowded even on weekends. It was one of the most impressive museums I've been. The building itself is worth a visit. The exhibition is very informative and interactive. I recommend this as an excellent place to visit as it does tell you the history of the country and of its union/Etihad.

Learn about the history of United Arab Emirates Union. The museum shows the hardships the Arab ancestors faced and how Dubai was just an impossible dream and how their hardwork paid off to make Dubai one of the best / favorite / safest destination in the world. Their journey is a motivation. 😇
