A nice place to shop little items for souvenirs, cheap affordable prices, the people are friendly. Also don't forget to experience Abra boat for only 1Aed, to visit other Souk(Market) like gold souk, perfume, spice souk👌☺️enjoy! Be safe🌹

I have evidence you have served expired cold drinks. You are treated like cattle to all the customers. We have spent 2 1/2 hours, today's temperature 48 degree in the roadside near to your camp, while coming back same situation just imagine if you are with family how you will feel. Why you are mixing bachelor with family. As we came to know that you have only 3 vehicle 4x4 to pickup and drop. The dune bashing is just 5mins. packed with 10 people. The food is of very very poor quality. The mini bus is also too much dirty and filthy. You are close to the road, and the location is surrounded by other camps. It is dirty. Your staff are are not professional at all they just bunch of idiots. The music is very very bad and how animals are treated....it is better to not talk about it.

We slept where people had dinner before. So, we slept on the benches. The breakfast was very very very poor. You are close to the road, and the location is surrounded by other camps. It is dirty. Wow! What an experience. Definitely worth visiting and definitely worth going with a guide. There is so much to see and learn. A heritage-themed shopping market with traditional architecture, located in the oldest area of Dubai. Dubai's Spice Souk is a colourful, aromatic and sensory experience. The gold souk is a labyrinth of walk ways filled with hundreds of stores selling gold.

My late-night visit to Bur Dubai Souk Market was a captivating journey into the heart of Dubai's rich cultural tapestry. Nestled amidst the bustling city, this traditional Arabian market is a vibrant testament to the city's history and heritage. As I strolled through the narrow, winding alleys of the souk, I was enveloped by the enchanting aroma of exotic spices, the melodious tunes of local musicians, and the kaleidoscope of colors from the intricate textiles on display. The market came alive under the soft glow of lanterns, creating a mystical atmosphere that transported me to another era. The diversity of goods on offer was astounding. From intricately woven carpets to ornate jewelry and fragrant incense, Bur Dubai Souk had it all. Vendors, dressed in traditional attire, enthusiastically engaged with visitors, sharing stories about their wares and haggling in good spirits, creating an immersive shopping experience. One of the highlights of my visit was sampling local delicacies. The aroma of freshly baked Arabic bread and the sizzle of shawarmas on the grill filled the air. I couldn't resist trying a platter of flavorful kebabs and indulging in the sweet delight of baklava from a local bakery. The market's proximity to the Dubai Creek added to its charm. As I watched the traditional wooden dhows sail by, I marveled at the seamless fusion of old-world charm and modernity that defines Dubai. My late-night sojourn at Bur Dubai Souk Market left an indelible mark on me. It was a captivating blend of history, culture, and commerce that showcased Dubai's commitment to preserving its heritage while embracing the future. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Arabian experience in the heart of this bustling metropolis

Desert safari was a nightmare. Horrible service given by the happy tour company. I went with my family with 2 kids. They just treated us like cattles. Long queues everywhere. Didn't even get proper food to eat. After standing long queues for food when reaching the counter nothing was left on the plates. When asked to refill they just asked to wait. After waiting for food to come for 10 mins i had go to another queue and again wait for half hour to get the left over food. The taste of the food was also disgusting. The barbeque was really funny . We got a pc of chicken after waiting again in a queue for half hour . In between all these waiting the dance shows are over. And time to go back to departing point. Here is the worst part. Happy tours had1000 pax approx and i saw only 3 vehicles for transporting people from camp. We had to wait almost one and half hour in the long queues in the middle of desert till 11pm. There was no proper coordination from the happy tours. All the other tour company had enough vehicles and they accommodated only enough guests they could to handle. We even had to witness lot of fights in between the drunkards and also other bachelors guys and families who where standing in the long queues. Instead of enjoying a good desert safari we had destroyed our entire day with this Happy tours . Even at the end, my wife also said to me not to recommend happy tours even to your enemies because of the way they are treating there guests.Happy tours made us really Unhappy. For your information i have gone for desert safari 3 times with different tour companies. But this was the only tour company that made me write a such a negative review. "Dear Happy tours please try to improve your service to your guests".

The Bur Dubai Suq Market should be on the top of the sight seeing list for any tourist coming to Dubai and even the local population who have not visited this place since long should re-visit for a nostalgic experience as I had. 40 years back, when I arrived in Dubai this was the most favourite spot for me and my friends and after office hours were spent looking through the shops for a bargain buy. Today, the variety on offer has grown manifolds from readymade garments, perfumes, spices, gift items, lamps, abaya shops, jewellery shops, Oud fragrances, etc. One can also enjoy a break and have some bhajiyas, pakodas, samosas, banana bhajiyas, tea, coffee or cold drinks in the cafeterias near the Suq Market entrance. Take an Abra boat to go across to Deira in one of the wooden boats and feel the breeze and water spray on your face for the ultimate enjoyment of life. Every place seems to be picturesque and in an hour or so you might take a hundred pics. Toilets for men and women are located in the parallel lane behind near the masjid and are absolutely clean, but are busy as many tourists and local people working in the area use them. There is a money exchange also available near the old Abra station near Captains Shop. This should be number one on your list. Mohamed Lokhandwala

Frankly it's terrible place. Nothing really interesting is here, just heaps from made in China clothes and other souvenirs. Items doesn't have prices so it is hard to compre one stand with another. Sellers are pushy, when you decide to let him show you stuff and you politely say thank you, but it's too much or something like that - he will become amgry. There are also many guys who jump out of nowhere and offer you electronic equipment, modern fashion brands clothes or watches. This market also doesn't have anything connected with a real local bazaar for natives. There are no local places to eat something or taste some food. If you want to admire products, buy souvenirs, spent pleasent time - definetly not there. You should rather go one two streets ahead and find some quiter place. We bought two bandamas and one kashmir scarf. As I mention before - there were no prices to compare. We had to bargain with seller for a few minutes and it was terrible. In the end we paid something around 25 aed per one item which I think od not so big price difference in compare with other places or Amazon. But next time I would definetly but it in other place.

I was on a 5 days vacation in Dubai with my family and was in search of some relaxation and refreshment activities. Searched for some exciting tours online and finally found the Hatta Tour Package by Happy Adventures Tourism. The details of the package surprised me, and I was excited to witness the mountains in Dubai. In this fabulous tour, I along with my family visited the Hatta Dam, Heritage Village and enjoyed many more adventurous activities. The services provided by this tour company were marvellous, and it made my day.

Lots of additional charges. We were picked up at 3:40 (after being told that pick up would be between 3 and 3:15 and no additional contact). Then taken to area to pay to ride atvs. After over an hour there, we were taken to pick up area for sand dunes ride. After 6 minute sand dune ride, we arrived at "camp" area. We walked over to camel ride area and were told that cost was 80 aed to ride. My daughter was really looking forward to camel ride so we negotiated a slightly lower cost to ride for 10 minutes. We then went to go into camp when person with hawk placed hawk on daughter's arm. I took a few pictures. He then takes hawk and says "now pay me 20 Dirhams." I was infuriated at this point. My husband gave him the Dirhams and walked inside with us. I wasn't going to pay as he placed the hawk without asking or us agreeing on a price. My husband is a more patient person than me and is grateful to have the means to travel so doesn't stress about small costs- I don't like feeling like I've been conned and that is how I felt. We were offered fruit juice upon entering camp. I immediately asked how much and was told 10 Durham. We then asked what drinks were included and were told that those drinks would not be available until after 7:30 pm - over 4 hours after pick up and in the dry desert. After 7:30, the dinner was finally offered but you needed to be quick because many people jumped up and ran over to the food line. After standing in line, we were offered the smallest piece of dry chicken that I could imagine - totally not worth the effort to get it. We then stood in another line for off brand cola soda. I could go on and on about being harassed to pay for something that was indicated as included (additional drinks, henna, etc.) But I think that anyone reading should get the idea - expect to pay, pay, pay, and pay some more. On the plus side, the show performers were very good and really seemed to put in the effort. We didn't get to see the show final as our driver told us that we needed to get into one of the first cars leaving or we would have to wait in a long line. Overall, I would NOT recommend this activity.

ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We booked our desert safari trip through HAPPY TOURISM and it was actually one of the worst experiences ever! We booked the Advanced package and we were supposed to have dune bashing of 25-30 mins It was only 15 mins! No where in the booking was it mentioned that the SUV would be shared with another couple for pick up/drop off + dune bashing. The 'so called' included camel ride was literally only for a minute. We had to pay extra per person to get a longer ride. Again, the guy promised it will be 15 min, but it was only 5 min Your agents were pushing for VIP tent all the time, asking for an extra 200 AED You promised unlimited drinks; even water wasnt served before 5:30pm, given the fact that we reached there by 3:45pm and it was very hot! You guys made sure everyone bought the expensive juices being sold before you started serving drinks. Drinks were served only at 7:30pm (when the show started) and were stopped being served at 8:30pm, including dinner. So how can anyone have "unlimited drinks" ?? Dinner was supposed to be BAR-BQ dinner, but it was all Veg stuff. Only one chicken leg/kebab was being handed out to each person after lining up. Shisha was again being sold at your table for additional cost of 50 AED. The entire package was a complete RIP OFF and lie. Anyone who is reading this, pls ensure you DO NOT book via HAPPY TOURISM and fall victim of their bag of lies.

Call it cattle class! My friends and I were very sad and disappointed as Happy safari were highly disorganized and when being served drinks and food the camp servers were very rude and abrasive. The food and drinks were bad! This company should not be allowed to operate!

A really bad experience. The Dune Bashing was for 3 minutes and I have a video of my session to prove it. The food was horridly bland and most of it was served cold. The complimentary drinks were disgusting terrible rip-offs. I don't know how the DJ was because the sound system was garbage. And the dancers spent no more than 5 minutes on stage. The only well coordinated part of the evening seemed to be the merchandise peddlers who kept weaving in and out of the audience trying to sell souvenirs and stuff. It took them 45 minutes to drop us back to the bus site after the show had finished because they were trying to transport about 300+ people using only 2 cars - going back and forth from the camp to the bus drop-site. I saw their Groupon voucher so we called them to find out if they had place for a party of 4. They told us not to buy the vouchers and to pay them cash on the spot instead. The entire booking happened over WhatsApp without any form of official documentation or receipts against payment. A terrible experience and not worth it at all. Wouldn't do it again even if somebody paid me for it.

Communicated with this company via What's app, as their websites stated they can. Was told about the package, which sounds great. When I asked if my date was available they said yes, so told them to confirm and I will be ready. They asked for details of ppl, location pick up and price, which I agreed to. 6 hour (less then 24 hour from pick up time) later I get a message stating they are booked for that date, then why confirm and tell me it was available. Horrible customer service. We did not have alot of days in dubai, and when u confirm with a company about something to build your plans around it. Ruined an entire day of mine. Seems to be a company that is poorly organized in the tourism industry. Stay away folks

Very very disappointing. Look for another company. Dune bashing was just a 4min drive to the camp. Very poor quality of everything. Sandboarding? There was one board laying somewhere. Soda (fake fanta and coke) only served during dinner, before only expensive drinks. Long queuing and waiting for buffet very humiliating treatment by all service. BBQ rationed only 1 piece of kebab and chicken. You are being treated throughout like cattle. Avoid!

Not the clean, glamorous and awe inspiring Dubai you may know. It is a classic Arab market, with all its pros and cons. Loud music, sellers shouting in every direction and in any language you can identify, lots of stands and shops with relatively cheap stuff, some food and coffee/tea. Do not get mé wrong, it is safe and relatively clean, just not as much as downtown Dubai. But if you need that cheap fridge magnet or Arab scarf, this is the place to go. There is also a port with Creek taxi boats, that can bring you to the other side of the creek, mainly to visit the famous gold market. Not a must see, but if you have some spare time, give it a chance. And remember, do not buy the Rolex!!!! :)

Wander narrow streets filled with all manner of Arab, Indian, Persian, Pakastani, and Afghani wares. Exploding with colors, sights, and sounds. If you want to truly feel like you're in a foreign land, this is the place. Be prepared for initial offers 4 times the actual value, but that's part of the haggling game! The micro cafes tucked away in allys offer delicious Paratha roles (try: egg, cheese, and chips Oman for filler). The 1 AED Chai tea (also called Karak) should not be missed. You MUST take 1 AED ferry across the creek and explore both sides. For spice hunters, this is your zone. When guests visit us, we always come here. I give it the Dr. Matt thumbs up. Parking at the RTA station is tactical and only a 5-minute walk to Spice area of the Souk.

The Bur Dubai Souk is also known as the Textile Souk or the Old Souk. If you are on the hunt for exotic fabrics, you should pay a visit to this covered market and be amazed by the burst of color from all the fabrics. You can even take out your camera and capture the vibrant atmosphere of Bur Dubai Souk. What are on offer Silk, velvet, cashmere, satin, cotton and other fabrics. Souvenir items, clothes, and footwear are also available. How to get there The Bur Dubai Souk is located at the southern side of the Creek. From Deira, take the abra to the Textile Souk or opt for the Metro and stop at Al Fahidi or Al Ghubaiba Metro Station. Opening hours Saturday to Thursday 10:00 – 22:00 Friday 16:00 – 22:00

Amidst all the night life, designer brands, vast malls in Dubai... The traditional markets called the souks are a must visit. Souks are Arab market or marketplace, a bazaar to be specific. Away from the glitz and glamorous Dubai, Here you can find the traditional lamps, hand woven textiles, vibrant ceramics, perfumes, spices and much more. This place gives you an colorful, vibrant and an unique experience into the country's culture and history. Every corner here is so fascinating... Seems like a slice of history is well preserved. If you are ever planning to visit Dubai or you are currently in Dubai, do check out this treasured piece of history 🇦🇪

Friday morning is completely different here compared the normal always busy situation - so quiet and peaceful. First we normally go for sunrise to the creek and then coming here by abra to have a tea while most/all of the shops are closed and all the people having just one goal to reach: the temple.

Want to get a flavour of old Dubai? Looking for some traditional or non-branded clothing? Head to the Old Souk Dubai, a traditional market in the heart of Bur Dubai where you can buy a range of products and experience the charm of the city’s historic shopping destination. When planning a visit to Dubai for shopping, the immediate thought is to cover all the grand shopping malls. However, if one has the time, souks are an excellent add-on. If the malls provide glitz, glamour and brands, the souks have a unique charm, showcasing the region’s cultural heritage with a variety of products from generational craftsmen. For example, visiting the old souk Bur Dubai can be a fascinating experience. The kind of hand-woven and machine-made fabrics you find here are unlikely to be available at other places even within Dubai. For this reason, it is also called the textile souk in Dubai. However, your shopping wouldn’t be limited to just textiles.

There are tens of shops there with cheap and affordable items, including spices, clothes (traditional), souvenirs, toys, restaurants. In addition to that, there is a MOSQUE, TEMPLE, and Al Fahidi Historical Fort in the nearby area. You can find AED 1 transportation to the other bank of this water channel using ABRA or FAIRY (Boat/Yacht) in many ports. The place is amazing especially during the sunset and the early night. It’s the most crowded area in DUBAI.

This is an excellent spot to spend the evening for some discount shopping, with everything from kaftans and other decorated textiles to spices, crockery, and perfumes. The Souk is located at the southern side of the Creek. You can buy popular souvenirs like Aladdin shoes, Dubai t-shirts, and Burj Khalifa souvenirs from the Bur Dubai Souk.

This place is great for buying souvenirs or abayas, there’s a spice souk, a gold souk, fabric souk… everyone gives different prices and you can haggle to get better ones. It’s very big and you can cross the creek por 1 AED, it’s very relaxing, especially if you take the boat at night. If you get tired you can try different ice creams around or sit on the benches.

The Spice Souk side is frankly a horrible experience. The vendors leave their wares to follow potential customers around, shouting almost offensive phrases to get your attention and the spices on display are also exposed to the foot traffic and ever present flies. Avoid the Spice Souk entrance from the Deira Creek. However, if you enter the Gold Souk side it's better. You will be approached by some people working in the silver alleys in the Gold Souk to check them out. If gold is what you're looking for this is the place. The daily prices are posted and updated throughout the day. Most stores are air conditioned refuges from the heat. Do not be afraid to negotiate! It can be done! Despite the chaos of the Spice Souk, lots of trinkets, spices, teas and souvenirs can be had when you navigate the other areas of the Bur Dubai Souk. I recommend "Main Point General Trading Llc" near the Gold Souk Gate No. 1. No screaming salesman, no chaotic layout, a corner store so you feel less trapped. They have a variety of things to remind you of the trip; tshirts, hats, scarves, pashminas, abayas, magnets, keychains, teas, some beads, dates. The sales pitches are entertaining and charming but you should still negotiate for the best price!

Awesome place for shopping gold and gold jewellery. You get some good deals here and also the purity of gold is better. Ask if tax refunds are possible on your purchases. There’s also a giant gold ring for display here which was a surprise. If you are living near bur Dubai it’s accessible via a small ferry boat which cost 1AED each way.

this is the “shopping district” where we would literally spend hours just browsing through the various stalls and merchandise on display. if you’re looking to get souvenirs then be prepared to haggle and walk away if the price is unreasonable, that usually does the trick ? be sure to visit the creek as well, the view at sunset is stunning!

  • 3/5 William D. 4 years ago on Google
Like many similar places one is hastled by the traders trying to do business and this can become tiresome. However they are only trying to make a living and visitors who have no intention of making a purchase must respect that. Often there is good banter. Not sure if we managed to get a bargain, but the fun is in the trying

This is a nice small market “souq” to visit while in Dubai, I gave it one less star as I thought it would be bigger than it was. It’s nice to get souvenirs on the cheap and also lots of ethnic south Asian and middle eastern mix of jewellery, decorations, clothes, spices, etc. There are lots of nice restaurants around for eating as well. Once you’re done wandering around the market you can grand a boat and take a ride in the creek, there are lots of boats available at the shore and at very reasonable prices. Rule of thumb here is too make sure to bargain! Don’t accept the first price, good luck and enjoy!

Traditional market in UAE & in Dubai. Bur Dubai souk is like the heart of Dubai. And the shops remember us the beauty of tradition. The pathway, lights, name boards, etc are designed to match the theme. A Hindu Temple is there in the souk which shows the harmony and tolerance of UAE. There is an Abra (Boat Transport) to cross the river. Abra is a main connecting factor of either sides. Souk is always busy with the small scale and wholesale business. The souk is a nostalgic market which may reminds you about your village trade festivals. You can find almost everything in the souk market. Electronics, bags, footware, Mobile Accessories, ornaments, Toys, Cloths, Spices, Fresh Snacks, Juices, Jewellery, etc are the main business deals..

"It's desert safari time folks!" We set out to an exciting ride from the bustling Dubai city to the desert. Of the plentiful Dubai tours out there, this evening Dubai desert safari is something that has no equal! This journey into the dunes in a modern 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, offers an eventful evening with lots of food, entertainment, sports and cultural activities. Highlights:- • Feel the excitement during the 30-40 minutes dune bashing by the Land Cruiser • Get entertained in a majestic desert campsite • Experience desert specialties viz. Shisha pipe, Getting a Henna tattoo • Pose with a Falcon • Take a lip-smacking BBQ dinner buffet • Watch the electrifying Fire show, Tanoura & Belly dancing.

(Translated by Google) Absolute disaster - not recommended. First, we were picked up from our hotel late. After a 40-minute drive, the journey stopped for the first time. While the drivers were letting the air out of the tires, we were taken to a small shop where headscarves (even against our will) were put on. After 20 minutes the drive went to the desert. The ride in the dunes was a maximum of 5 minutes. The promised stop on the highest dune was not made. At 16.30 we were let out at the camp and they told us that we would be picked up again at 8.30pm. The camp consisted of a few dilapidated tents, a bar (with which you got for 10 minutes a non-alcoholic free drink) and a large dining area. It was more like a ghost town than a desert camp. First, we were allowed to take a seat in a shady loft, which, however, could only be used for an additional charge. So we decided on the free variant and took in a tent on torn chairs and a beer bench place. Now the waiting in the heat began .... At 19.00 the food started. There was one row for women and one for men. Takeaway for others was prohibited, so everyone had to hire themselves. Only courageous dared to eat the food;) There were live shows during the meal, which were more like a bad joke than the promised traditional evening program. At 20.30 came the announcement that the program was over. However, our driver had to drive other guests to the buses at the beginning of the desert before us, which then distributed the people to the hotels. So we waited again. At 9 pm he was finally free for us. Since our driver made the return journey to his own place of residence, we had to drive an hour detour, because first the other guests were driven to the palm. The desert safari is a pure tourist rip-off and not recommended !!! The only positive are the pictures of the sunset in the desert. Pity! Schade!

(Translated by Google) It is better to book a more expensive tour with better service. Happy is cheap, but just as cheap is the trip. The pick-up is delayed and you get penned in a minibus, to be driven over the dunes for a few minutes. The evening event only aims to pay for additional services. The buffet is lower average, sometimes no longer warm, and the free soft drinks are limited to water and a canned beverage, which is better avoided.

This place is a ‘must visit’. Its located near the creek with an amazing view and you can take a one dhiram abra (boat) to shuttle back and forth to the other souks. Since it’s a touristy area the prices are higher so you might have to haggle for something that you really like. You get traditional attires, shemaghs, incense (very common here), dates and other metal artefacts and souvenirs. There is also a restaurant located inside and by the creek.

  • 5/5 Jahirul I. 9 months ago on Google

Fun and lively market to stroll through. It’s a little hard to casually browse without being constantly called upon, sometimes incessantly, to come and look in people’s shops or having vendors asking you where you’re from (if you’re a foreigner) just to break the ice to continue with their sales pitches. All an understandable practice, however, based on there being lots of shops which breeds higher competition.

The Bur Dubai Souk Market is a unique and vibrant market located in the heart of Dubai. I had the pleasure of visiting this market, and I must say it's an incredible experience. The market's atmosphere is bustling and lively, with a wide variety of stalls and shops selling everything from textiles and clothing to spices, perfumes, and electronics. The vibrant colors and aromas make it a sensory delight. One of the standout features of Bur Dubai Souk Market is its traditional character. It's a place where you can experience authentic Dubai culture and heritage. Haggling is a common practice here, and it can be a fun way to interact with local vendors and secure great deals. The market is also well-known for its gold and jewelry shops, making it an excellent place for anyone interested in jewelry shopping. The craftsmanship and quality of the items are impressive. Additionally, the market is conveniently located in the historic Bur Dubai area, making it easily accessible for both tourists and residents. Overall, the Bur Dubai Souk Market is a must-visit for those looking to explore the rich culture and vibrant marketplace of Dubai. It's a fascinating and diverse place to shop, explore, and soak in the local atmosphere

Ooh my, this place is awesome. There are lots of things to see and perfumes of best quality souvenirs at 60% less than mall prices. buy and for great low prices. But negotiating on prices is a must do because if you are a tourist they will start with a very high price. Until you negotiate to a normal price .

One of the oldest traditional markets in the Emirates. Gold of different carats, designs are all available here. The designs are lucrative and the more deep your pocket is the more happy you will come out of this place. Although the gold price is cheap but one has to bargain hard on the making cost, to get a fair deal. They will charge a 5 percent VAT on the items sold but the VAT amount will be refunded at the airport once you show the receipts. We went there from Bur Dubai, there is a short Abra ride across the creek to reach this place. The old world charm that this place possesses will surely grab one's attention.
