Zabeel or Za’ abeel Palace is the official residence and administrative office of the ruling Royal Family in Dubai. The word 'Zabeel' in Arabic means 'Thanks' and this palace was constructed in the 1960's and has been the official residence of Sheik Rashid, UAE's former prime minister. The design of this palace is the idea of Otto Bulart who was behind the design of the Clock Tower in Dubai. The Zabeel palace is one of the most secured palaces in the world, protected by sophisticated electronic devices. While stepping inside is off limits for tourists, you still can view the palace from the maingate or from the distance of the beautifully manicured lawns that make this place a must visit as you also get a fabulous view of the Dubai Frame on one side and the Burj Khalifa on the other. Once a barren land covered in sand, the Zabeel area is now surrounded by tall skyscrapers that call Dubai home. While heading away from here, we did capture an eye catching view of the Dubai Skyline, with the Burj Khalifa towering high. The lush garden has tight security. One can only move up to a point and can't get close to the palace beyond a point. One can opt for a 30 minutes guided tour that can be very informative, but we did not have that included in our City Tour package and moved on to our next destination that is equally iconic. More on that, in the next post.

We get to see zabeel Palace from outside as it is a restricted area for a common visitor. This palace has to offer very wide and beautiful green gardens. Visitors are allowed to take pictures from outside. It is a wonderful place where you can make some memories with your family. Overall, it was a nice spot to visit in Dubai.

This is the official residence of King and President. There is no public access so visitors stand a couple hundred metres away to take pictures. Not only the Emirates but the huge population of immigrants seem to treat the royalty with reverence not just curiosity, even the police car, license plate 7. The King has 1.

The garden outside the palace is beautiful. Its an restricted area so you cannot see the palace from inside. The view outside is good too.. You will see many peacocks in the garden.

It's one of the beautiful Palace's in UAE! You can enter the place upto a certain distance, then further entry is restricted. There's a huge lawn and a road leading to the palace. You might also get to click photos with limousines parked.

At a distance of 6 km from Dubai Frame and 14 km from Dubai Airport, Zabeel Palace is a majestic palace situated in the Zabeel area of Dubai. It is one of the popular Dubai Landmarks and among the must-visit places in Dubai. Zabeel Palace is the home of Sheikh Rashid, UAE's former prime minister. It is constructed in the Zabeel area, which was formerly just bare land covered with sand. Today, it is surrounded by all the glitzy buildings that make up the skyline of Dubai. Another Zabeel Palace has also cropped up in the vicinity, but it is the old palace that is full of charms. This palace was constructed sometime in the 1960s and was used as a residence till the 90s. The Arabic word 'Zabeel' stands for 'Thanks'.

It is worth taking a look at this wonderful Palace where HH Shaikh Rasheed used to live. You can’t go in but there is parking and you can stroll up the drive way towards the impressive entrance gates which are topped by 5 horses statue. There are normally plenty of peacocks wandering around and an impressive police vehicle on display - it was a police G Wagon on the day I visited. In parking lot you can see lot of limousine to click pictures.

This is the palace where the ruler of Dubai resides. This was part of our city tour where they allow you to visit until a point outside the palace. There is no entry to the palace. The palace is a good attraction and is maintained very clean. The place is very serene with garden and greenery around.

This place always fascinated us, as they give access to this beautiful garden like area for tourists in front of the entrance to the royal palace. I have never imagined I could see peacocks roaming around freely and posing for our selfie. :)

The residential place of the Prime Minister. Quite close to business district. You can just view and click from a distance. There is a parking for cabs and buses. It gets a lot hot and there is no place of shade around there. So we just stopped for couple of minutes. Pro-tip: If you took a city cab, ask them to wait in the parking. Getting another cab from here might take time.

(Translated by Google) Many write that they are not allowed beyond the police post. Would you like to feel the beauty of the noise from tourists if you were in the place of the sheikh ???? In my subjective opinion, this place should definitely be visited, even for the sake of respect for the head of the country to which you have arrived. The territory is well-groomed, peacocks are walking, birds are singing! Enjoy the beauty around! The world is wonderful!

(Translated by Google) You can be brought here as part of one of the excursions in the Arab Emirates. Despite the fact that you have already been brought, you will not actually get anywhere from the place of your stop, since the entrance from the Sheikh's residence in Dubai is closed by itself. :) If you have a camera with good optics in your hands, you may be able to take decent pictures of the outer part of the palace. Not far from the entrance to the palace, you can admire the important peacocks walking here.

It is one of the attractions you can add to your list when visiting Dubai even though it is restricted to the outer part of the main entrance of the Palace. At the beginning every one thought there will be a tour of the inside and have a glimpse of the Royality but yes for security reasons. If possible reach before sunset to enjoy both scenes with natural sunlight and under the amazing lighting system.

You can't go too near the actual palace but hey, it's one of those rare things you can do for free in Dubai. Hmm! Where do I start. I didn't go inside this palace. Not yet! But it certainly looks very nice from the outside. I can only talk here about the open area for the public. It's certainly amazing and attractive. The landscape is done by top professionals, I'm guessing. The plane is always busy with tourists and visitors. No food or chairs. It's designed for you to walk around, enjoy the moment and leave within 20 min tops. Well designed to keep the crowds down. One observation I had is the number of peacocks roaming freely around making their distinctive call. You're not allowed to catch them or bother them. They're really nice to watch. Enjoy!

By the way, it is also a good natural scenery to tease the peacocks and chase the birds in the square.. (Original) 迪拜酋长皇宫酒店的外面很美.没消费是没法进去也无法靠近.只能远观一下😃顺便在广场这逗逗孔雀追追鸟儿也是不错的一道天然风景..

Royal residence of the Prime Minister of UAE. From a tourist's perspective, one doesn't require to come here as palace visit is prohibited. Neat, well kept gardens.

Zabeel Palace is a majestic palace situated in the Zabeel area of Dubai. It is one of the popular Dubai Landmarks and among the must-visit places in Dubai. Zabeel Palace is the home of Sheikh Rashid, UAE's former prime minister. It is one of the highly secured areas, you will be allowed till the entrance where there two patrol vehicles will be there. We have been warned by the guide who took us, mentioning there is a laser sensor available, if crossed possibility of the army come for confession. It was maintained very well, and even the pathways are cleaned very well.. Apart from taking the photograph you can't do anything here. You cannot throw any garbage here. No tickets required to visit this place.
