Very nice pub, cool vide and reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and sociable as well. I just wish there would be less out of order wines and maybe some goat cheese for the platter... it would have been a 5* for sure... I am going back there nevertheless

Today i came for first time to JB’s with big excitement to have a unique experience and enjoy great food but frankly i was disappointed, i came late but the kitchen was open and i met the chef and the Restaurant manager and who took my order and i got the starters only the chicken wings which was really oily and the half meter Hotdog which was good to be fair, and i have one of the two star for it and the second goes to the Restaurant Manager who was almost crying because basically the chef left and refused to do our main dishes, and the manager came with apology and the bill gone to be runaway chef. Really i was not expecting this bad experince.

Best chicharrón i have eaten in years! Being in a Muslim country made me miss so much eating pork until I found this place. We ordered one chicharrón tacos and one portion of chicharrón. Soooo good!!!! A bit overpriced but really worth it!

went on a quiet week night in summer (july) so this is a late review. it was really calm with only a few diners. The service was great. The ribs although a super generous portion - were too soft for me, feeling over cooked/ boiled and falling off the bone a little too easily. The room felt like it could be better lit. I really enjoyed the scotch egg and the house red wine was good too. Location is great right on the JBR walk.

I really wanted to love everything about JB’s, having seen such tantalizing and inviting posts on my friends’ social media. First off, the service is fantastic! Warm, friendly, personal. A real treat. The hostility team is top notch. The venue is gorgeous. Beautiful fittings, music at just the right level, likewise lights that are neither too low nor too bright - just perfect. Sadly I was let down by the pork ribs that I’d come especially for. I get that pork is a challenging dish to serve in Dubai and doing so requires extra permits, preparation areas etc etc. Sadly my pork ribs suffered from that old Dubai problem of being frozen too long and then over boiled in the preparation process, such that the meat was too soft, more akin to mulch, with a texture and semblance on the palate of being over boiled to the point where neither the smoked flavour nor the divine sticky basting could mask that. A pity, but there it is. I will be back, though as the service is so good and the rest of the menu looks so appealing, I’m dying to try something else and will update my review when I do.

As if the fat pork belly was not enough already, the cook added another fried potatoes cake matching the baked meat color. For a the name 'Gastro', basics are to be revised. The new trend to focus on a healthly plate with grandmother recipes and unconventional veggies. The propose is that each bite shall remain a delight in the mouth. Staff: 5/5 Good welcoming. A gastropub that lives up to its name with a great selection of food - pub food but elevated to the next level. The menu choices are plenty to cater for meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians (not so much for vegans) making it easy to choose for group gatherings with people on different diets. We tried plenty of dishes from the sharing small plates and platters, main courses and desserts, and beer and wine - all was generally enjoyed, though the cheese selection was missing some items as we were told a few of the less-ordinary choices we opted for were not available. The venue has indoor and outdoor seating - great for family or group meals in the general dining area, a meal by the bar or TVs playing football/soccer, and an outdoor smoking section. The atmosphere is well suited to different occasions with a comfortable ambience and music that's audible but doesn't disrupt table conversation. Overall a great place for a nice dinner/drink out.

Came for a roast and had to ask and explain how to do a veggie roast. Which hardly seems like a big deal removing meat from a plate. The staff agreed to add more veg but said they wouldn't do again. Not exactly accommodating for your customers. My chicken had hardly any meat in it pretty poor so we wouldn't back here.

As usual in Dubai the service wasn't great, but better than most places, I don't know why service in Dubai as a whole get it so wrong, need to employee attentive waiting staff... I haven't been to the bar for 5 years, when the food was not great to say the least. However last night, the food really hit the spot, they have a Pork licence and really know how to use it... Metre Long Bratwurst and Chorizo, Pork rinds to start with and one of the best Pork Nachos in town which contained Bacon rings, pulled beef and bacon. We will return.
