Lack
of
Professionalism
and
Incompetence
Review:
I
am
writing
this
review
to
express
my
utmost
disappointment
and
frustration
with
the
treatment
we
received
at
[Mediclinic
city
hospital]
Emergency
Department.
My
wife
and
I
brought
our
son
there
after
he
ingested
a
foreign
body,
expecting
to
receive
prompt,
competent,
and
specialized
care.
Unfortunately,
our
experience
was
far
from
satisfactory.
Upon
arrival,
we
were
seen
by
a
doctor
who
openly
admitted
their
lack
of
experience
in
handling
such
cases.
Despite
our
background
as
physicians,
we
were
shocked
to
hear
the
doctor's
dismissive
remarks
about
our
concerns.
We
overheard
the
same
doctor
referring
to
us
as
"crazy"
and
making
derogatory
comments
about
our
actions
to
another
physician
over
the
phone.
This
unprofessional
behavior
left
us
feeling
unheard,
demeaned,
and
disrespected.
Moreover,
the
hospital
staff
informed
us
that
they
lacked
the
necessary
expertise
and
specialty
for
cases
like
ours,
which
is
both
alarming
and
unacceptable.
Instead
of
providing
proper
care,
they
merely
opted
for
observation
without
pursuing
other
appropriate
measures.
The
safety
and
well-being
of
our
son
should
have
been
their
top
priority,
but
it
seemed
as
though
we
were
not
taken
seriously
due
to
our
professional
background.
In
the
end,
the
hospital
decided
to
transfer
our
son
to
another
facility
for
further
management.
While
we
appreciate
the
action
they
took
to
address
our
son's
needs,
the
entire
experience
at
[Mediclinic
City
Hospital]
was
marred
by
their
lack
of
skill,
professionalism,
and
empathy.
As
medical
professionals
ourselves,
we
understand
the
challenges
that
hospitals
face
and
the
importance
of
maintaining
a
high
standard
of
care.
However,
it
is
disheartening
to
witness
such
incompetence
and
disregard
for
patient
concerns,
especially
from
a
healthcare
institution
that
should
prioritize
the
well-being
of
those
seeking
assistance.
We
hope
that
our
feedback
will
prompt
[Mediclinic
City
Hospital]
to
reflect
upon
their
shortcomings
and
take
necessary
steps
to
improve
their
staff's
competence,
professionalism,
and
overall
quality
of
care.
Patients,
regardless
of
their
background,
deserve
to
be
treated
with
dignity,
respect,
and
expertise
when
seeking
medical
attention.
We
sincerely
hope
that
no
other
family
has
to
endure
the
distressing
experience
we
went
through
and
that
necessary
changes
are
implemented
to
ensure
that
patients
receive
the
competent
and
compassionate
care
they
deserve.
