My first interaction with the doctors and staff at ER, ICU and ECU put me at ease. Great treatment and care. Followup visits with doctors arranged seamlessly. High levels of hygiene and cleanliness maintained. General ambience very good. very convenient as Mediclinic City Hospital is a 5 minute drive from my home. Could not have asked for anything better during my treatment and care. Thank you Mediclinic!

We were in a hopeless scenario before few days when the emergency facility I approached first warned us about amputation for my 5-year-old son after his finger was trapped inside the door. My search for the best plastic surgeon ended up with Dr. Nicholas Bennet of Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. It was really comforting to meet him and he promised to restore the damaged finger in the best way possible. We are so glad to see the result in 3 days, it is almost normal now!!! We can’t thank Dr. Nicholas and his team enough for the wonderful job they have done. What would have happened to my child if we hadn't met him is unimaginable. One of the best doctors I have ever seen. Wish him all the best.

My mom fell down, we took her to City hospital by ambulance because her face had swollen and I feared her cheek bone was broken. Mom seemed well but during the ambulance ride, she was disoriented and was unable to talk. Once at the ER, they did a CT scan and notice she had a brain bleed. We insisted vigorously that surgery should be done to relive the pressure on Mom's brain, but the Neurosurgeon, insisted that they should wait as she was on blood thinners and he could not perform the surgery. Mom kept getting worse and worse, until we demanded for the doctor to do the surgery. The Neurosurgeon finally, after tremendous amount of pressure from us, put mom on platelets and did the surgery, but by then, the hemorrhage had become quite large and had managed to badly damage mom's brain. Mom can no longer talk, move or comprehend. I would not have thought a problem except that after mom was released and we brought her back to the same Neurosurgeon for her follow up he told me in front of mom's nurse, and I quote, as I will never forget these words: "If I had known your mother had such good family support, I would have done the surgery sooner". My mom could have had a much better quality of life (instead of being bedridden and completely incoherent), had the Neurosurgeon done the surgery as soon as CT was done and brain bleed was indicated. Instead he wait 3 hours and by then the damage was quite sever. His excuse was that mom was on blood thinners, but after we demanded a surgery, he gave her platelets, which he could have given her earlier and done the surgery when we brought her to the ER. Those critical 3 hours managed to turn a loving, caring mother of 5, into a lump of flesh laying in bed having her butt wiped by strangers. Of course other surgeons would say that it was a judgement call on the doctor's side, but the Neurosurgeon judged wrong, even after we begged him to do the surgery ASAP, because he assumed we couldn't care for our mom. He did the surgery, gave her the platelets despite her being on the blood thinner, but those 3 measly hours destroyed our whole family. For as long as I live, I will never forget what he said to me: " If I had known your mother had such good family support, I would have done the surgery sooner".

Another example of a hospital who would let people rather die than losing one single penny. Patients and their concerns are the least of their priorities, it is more important to explore on how much money they can take from the patients insurance to enrich themselves. I hope the government takes action on this kind of business practices soon and starts sanctioning hospitals for putting patients second. First and last time patient.

I did my delivery here. It was HORRORFUL. They let me doing my delivery full of vomit, they induce me really too fast by all the ways possible in the same time without advising me (0 to 100 really quick for the pain), the midwives were rudes, they didn’t gave me a break when I had my baby, the nurses shown us they hadn’t time for us, they didn’t provide the milk, they were like “manage it by yourself” and rolled eyes when we asked for something, no nursery, they did a epidural too late so I had the effect after birth but they wanted to charge it. And so much more to say.......... Every step was a disaster... Never again. It’s a baby factory. Ps: the drop off/pick up point, in front of the main gate, is more like a parking area for luxury cars, make the entrance very hard to access. Where are we exactly ? Is it an hospital or a night club ? I don’t get it...

We chose City Hospital for the delivery of our first baby and didn’t regret our choice for a single moment. Our gynecologist Dr. Kavita did an amazing job in supporting and guiding us through the pregnancy and we always felt to be in good and competent hands. She was also their for the delivery and stayed calm and capable when things were going stressful. The midwifes and nurses (especially Rachel!) were super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed getting our Baby in City Hospital. Thank you all and thank you GOD for helping us getting our first sweet baby!

Terrible experience in the pediatric unit. Discharge and receiving medicines from the pharmacy took over an hour and in fact I’m still waiting. The nurse looking after us also very unresponsive. Great facilities but lousy teams. Another reason why I believe as much as diversity is good, it’s hard for different cultures to work as a cohesive unit. Would not recommend this facility. Just slow and extremely casual behaviour all round.

As good the Doctors are, the response level by Dr and the team is pathetic. It takes days before theur respond to the insurance's queries. My advise to anyone going to this hospital is that ensure you are at the clinic to get all approvals sorted. This way you don't waste time and energy to contact that hospital or the Dr who take their walk in the park time to respond.

Had an emergency today, everything went smooth from filling out a form, getting to the emergency room to settling the bill. Staff and the doctor were friendly and professional. The ambiance inside was calm and organized. There’s plenty of spaces inside to sit, wait and relax. A coffee shop and high ceiling reception/ waiting area.

If you need a delayed pcr test it's the place to go. No news after 48hrs...! Good I went urgently to Health Hub to do another test otherwise I would have missed my flight. Do not recommend at all.

Did my covid test, when they were promising 24H, now it has been almost 48 and no news, no sms, no email. I am trying to call, no one is helping and no way to get any support. Id recommend you to go somewhere else definitely. Mainly if you have a flight to catch, which is my case, and I have been postponing twice already.

The pharmacy staff are a TOTAL LET DOWN to this exceptional establishment. They work slowly and pass blame from one to the next. It simply can not take 10 minutes for the Assistant Pharmacist to acknowledge one in front of hi as he was busier dealing with a stapling machine. Very quick to blame the insurance company (gentleman in blue shirt- expert at rolling his eyes). I will totally appreciate the lady from Admin who intervened and Michelle who was quick to process the request

I don’t recommend this hospital. I had an infection post C-section surgery. The after care was horrible. I had lots of pain and they just kept ignoring my complaints. I went home and a week later came for my checkup and I was in a wheelchair still from the pain. Yet, they didn’t notice I had the infection. We went to latifa hospital and they immediately admitted me and they were wonderful and so professional. I will never advise anyone to deliver in city after my experience and since my birth I’m hearing more and more people getting infections after c section. It’s unacceptable and there should be investigations.

Everything about this place is so positive, from the staff, the Doctors to nurses they are so professional. I had to take one of my relatives who was visiting to the emergency ward and where he was so very well looked after and diagnosed. Thank you for restoring my confidence back into the system. Paid Parking in front of the hospital and plenty of Free parking in the basement.

Worst experience, we had our covid 19 test on 7th Jan 2021 at 3 pm but it took More than 36 hours for us to know that we are covid positive since last 12 hours we are following up to get the report but everytime we call we are getting false promises that we will get a report in 10 to 20 min. Even small clinic would have better service that such so called best hospital in middle east, it is highly recommended to avoid going for any kind of service to any of the mediclinic facilities

(Translated by Google) Peace be upon you. It was the worst experience I have had, and I will not think that I am being treated in this hospital because there are some doctors with their long-standing experience, but their approach to patients is not good. With patients and taking into consideration their inquiries (a high-end hospital, but some doctors waste the hospital's reputation) (Original)

This review is for Dr Anna Harmon. Dr Harmon is an absolute asset to this hospital. She was so professional, has such a caring sweet manner did a thorough examination and explained things to me. After having an awful experience elsewhere, I was put so much at ease because appropriate tests were performed all on the same day, and she followed up immediately with the results in the afternoon. I highly highly recommend her and if I could give 10 stars I would for the peace of mind she has given me. ☺️

The worst hospital in the UAE.Remember, the whole emergency dept.is attended by one disqualified doctor who can not diagnose a simple infection. I went to the emergency complaining of weakness and body aches,I paid 600 dirhams only to be attended 2 minutes by doctor Muna who requested a full body ultrasound and xray to diagnose my condition( which was diagnosed as a simple infection by another qualified doctor in another hospital). She was so impatient to listen and quite overloaded, she came 2 minutes ,listened with no attention or care and disappeared again. She never put any efforts to diagnose my condition. Finally she prescribed me panadol(which kept me weak and sick and did not treat my infection)I went to another hospital and again paid more money and the emergency doctor confidently and in less than 2 minutes diagnosed my condition as an infection and gave me antibiotics.I got better in one day afterwards . Please do not be fooled by big name private hospitals as they operate for money and hire disqualified doctors.I am wondering how such disqualified doctors operate and they can not even diagnose a simple infection. I noticed that Dubai health care city hospitals are the worst in the UAE and they are greedy for money ,they hire disqualified doctors with low salaries. One more thing, the nurse who guided me to the cashier before discharging me was so rude and was I n a hurry and did not allow me to ask questions about medications , she treated me violently.I paid huge money to be treated carelessly. Their call centers sucks, they do not help you unless you get angry..The man who took my call,an Arab, was so careless that he did not bother to give me the hospital number until I got angry and furious. Please if you are feeling unwell,go to Rashid hospital, doctors there are the best in the UAE and you leave the hospital with accurate and correct diagnosis and medication. Hope you stay well.

My overall experience of the hospital was good. The doctors are good. I was admitted in ICU, the nurses took good care of me. No issues with the ICU, however I faced some issues as an outpatient while doing follow-ups, you need to call multiple times to get things sorted out. The administration is not efficient and defintely needs improvement.

I have visited the Emergency Department today with my daughter, for a minor hand injury which turned out to be a fracture. From registration to nurse assessment and triage, from the doctor assessment to the x ray process, everything was smooth and quick. We were out in 1 hour!!! Maybe today was not the busiest day but you could tell the place was buzzing, yet everyone helped us with caring efficiency. Many thanks to all the staff!

Best doctors Dr Rania Abu Samra, Dr Mohammed Saadat 😍 really you feel comfortable dealing with them, nurses are awesome and helpful. I recommend this hospital for everyone. Inpatient and outpatient services are fast and very good. Emergency department also very fast and doctors available there usually contact the main doctor of the patient

Worst service ever. They even not deserve this one star. No one pick the phone when you call them. Covid19 results took more than 48 hours. Up to now 50 hours and still I didn't receive my result for travel purpose. Totally not recommend any one to deal with them for the above reasons. Attached photos for how many times I tried to call them.

(Translated by Google) Beware if you have a covid PCR test at the Mediclinic drive to do, the announced deadlines are not always respected, and a good number of patient travelers find themselves having to postpone their stay by a few days while awaiting their results. To realize this, all you need to do is spend some time in the emergency room to see people scroll by who find themselves stranded in place because of their cruel lack of organization. I still advise you to go through this hospital because it is not the 5 to 9 hours of daily waiting at the American Hospital that will allow you to get your results sooner. The advice that I will have to give would be to think broad and not to do it right at the last moment by taking into account the deadlines that they claim to respect, in my experience.

Worst medical service provider in the UAE. These people are trained to lie to patients that they will call back - I'm waiting almost 5 days now for that call back, after 3 unsuccessful follow up phone calls to speak to my doctor/nurse. Terrible!!! After hearing many negative experiences from friends, it only confirms that not only was it a mistake to come to city-hospital here the first time, but left me in more pain and time wasted had I gone somewhere else.

Dear All, kindly note that please do not proceed to do the COVID 19 PCR test from MediClinic group. I was really sick past two days and I have visited Mediclinic Park View Hospital for PCR test around 11:30 AM on the 6th January 2020. Today is 8th January 2020 at 1AM. I still have not received my PCR test result. I have followed up several times after 24 hours , now more than 37 hours after the test. there was no proper reply from the hospital side. Please , I would like to advise everyone no to do the test from Mediclinic Group, It was a worst service I have ever seen my life .............

Every single experience at this hospital has been bad! The hospital is being managed extremely poorly. They cancel your appointment and tell you about it when you are already at the hospital. The pharmacy takes ages to give you medicine and there is no home delivery option. It’s always hard to find here parking unless you pay them 20 dirhams for valet parking. Hospital staff is poorly trained. Never coming back to this hospital!

While I’m happy with my doctor and have actually followed her from another hospital to this one, it is really a shame that they consider themselves a “healthcare” facility. Unbelievably bad in managing patients. It’s impossible to get to them over the phone. The pharmacy is very slow and don’t care about patients. I have been trying to get in touch with the pharmacy to check the status of my prescription refill and insurance approval for the last 10 days with no luck. Directly and through call center but both didn’t work. Just unbelievable.

My wife was not feeling well and we came in this morning to the emergency room. For us everything went very well, quick and organized. From the first check done by the nurse, the examination with the doctor everything was done professionally, clearly and quickly. My wife forgot her medicine at home she needed to take and the staff also took care and brought us the medicine, without us even asking. The facilities are perfectly clean and tidy. I don't know why other people have different experiences, maybe the distribution of quality amongst the personnel is not homogeneous and if so should be taken care of. But we would always recommend this hospital.

The worst hospital with the WORST customer service, their attitude is "If you die, who cares". I have been in the emergency at 11am and sent home without them providing me my blood results. They gave me an appointment 3 days LATER, which I refused and asked for my blood results to go to another hospital, which has doctors available. After 12 hours and 10 calls to the hospital with them each time promising me they will spend a precious minute of their time to send me the email sill NOTHING. Its so sad and infuriating, taking into account that it was the emergency makes it even worse. I have many more stories to tell, but my advice just stay away and go to a smaller hospital where they actually care for their patients! UPDATE: The doctor told me to stop the antibiotic, finally after 12 hours the results come and it turns out its infection and noone called to let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to take PCR and IGM test this morning. It is surprised and disappointed that the security guy Farouk forced me to sit in an un-sanitized seat when I waited in the queue. He took my application form and asked me to get outside when I refused to sit. It is really embarrassing and unsafe to force people to sit in an un-sanitized seat! Everyone will touch every seat during waiting and you don’t know who might be positive. Moreover, I don’t know why this security guy has this right to force people to sit and get outside if he refused to sit. I believe I have the right to choose sit or stand when I wait in the queue. I hope it is not racism because I am Chinese.

I had baby delivery in October 2021 in Mediclinic city hospital - Dubai. Just wanna tell all the mommies and those who looks in future for hospital for delivery to get stuck with Mediclinic. I'll never forget amazing experience I had with this hospital from my pregnancy lead with Dr Amal Aburawi (who I'm in love with, as a talented, professional, knowledgeable doctor) to delivery itself with midwifes and nurses. Absolutely all ward is so educated and up to highest standards, they have answers to all queries and questions I was just impressed. Hospital itself is pleasant place to come, very clean and stress free as you can be sure here you'll receive the best quality care of your health!

Our Worst experience with Med clinic City Hospital, the team not friendly and rude nurse especially in Neurology department. We visited the Doctor more than 3 months now and hospital took approval from the insurance and it was approved and until this moment we are waiting for them to give appointment for my husband to do the scan. We did many follow up and calls and every time will inform us that Nurse will call back and it is never happen. Also we complained by call and in their website and even no one come and checked the reason, really so miserable service and I can say that the management very bad and they don’t deserve to be in medicine field.

Do not book your appointment through the App. They claim they have one but it is a total mess. It looks nice at first sight, you can book the appointment, but guess what, the doctor will not attend and you will be waiting while no one from the hospital even notices or cares to apologize. If you’re lucky you won’t get charged for the consultation !

I can highly recommend the endocrinology department at City Hospital. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a year ago and if I had not met Dr Rahila and Sara Adhami, I do not know where I would be now. They offered me so much support and care and were in constant contact with me in the beginning and continue to stay in touch with me. The education I have received from Sara regarding food and diet is fantastic! She takes her time and listens to me and guides me to make my food interesting and offers advice and alternatives. We used to have 1 hour for this but they have since been shortened to 20 minutes. This can be quite hard to juggle with work and school etc.

My review on Dr. Kavita (Gynecologist) is that she is a special human first followed by a great doctor. She took care of me during my recent surgery and aftercare with so much education, concern and empathy. I would recommend her very highly to girls and women who just need a right gynecologist when they are unsure where to go or who to consult.

Both our kids were born at this very lovely hospital. For me, us, it's another home for us. Adding to this are the loveliest nurses who have been there for our kids when they're baby up until today - Chiquel, Claire and Lanie are indeed the most helpful and caring not just us but to every patients in general. No wonder they are being kept by City Hospital for long years now - they're City's precious assets.

My family and I have been going to the city hospital for a long time with no complaints whatsoever, until today. We went to the ER to have my daughter checked and waited for hours outside the ER, and then when my daughter was called inside, we had to wait a lot more time, and we just left the hospital without seeing any doctors. It's just a shame that we have to go to another facility to have my daughter checked by a doctor. I hate to compare, but I expected far better service from Mediclinic City Hospital than from any other facility. Really dissaponting!

Excellent hospital. Quality of care is truly high. Took my son to ER as well as did his surgery in the hospital. All departments that I have interacted with did a great job. Well done, indeed. Recommended for all, as it is a multi-disciplinary hospital that does deliver quality health care.

Thank you very much Dr. Zaid and Ms. Jenifer….they took care of my wife in the emergency department. As a pharmacist, I observed the good practice and high levels of compliance and good hygiene practices. Furthermore, both had a positive attitude as if they are my family members. The Doctor and the nurse came several times to check on her. The communication level is very high. They answered our questions and they listened to us carefully. Thank you again so much for your help. Now my wife is much better.

Improvements Needed in Patient Management While the expertise of the endocrinologists here is commendable, I find the patient management at the nurse's desk to be less than satisfactory. My visits have been consistently marred by long wait times, which seems to stem from inefficient handling of patients in the waiting rooms. As a valued client, I believe my time should be respected and efficiency should be prioritized. Therefore, I urge the clinic's management to take immediate measures to address this issue for a smoother and more patient-friendly experience.

Amazing doctors in department of Neurology but terrible patient management by the hospital. There is no way to reach to the hospital through the phone, nurses have a tendency to forget important importation / updates, you constantly need to follow up. There is an overall communication gap within the hospital too, you generally have to repeat your requests to be able to get them done. Dealing a complicated health issue is already stressful - a hospital like Mediclinic especially with the amount of money they receive for their services should strive for a much smoother experience. Right now they are not even doing the bare minimum. The only reason I continue to visit this hospital is for the sake of my doctor, Abdulwahab Roman. He is really knowledgeable and super professional.

I just step into this hospital and they already charge my card for 2,000 dirham, I don’t even see any doctor yet. They said it’s deposit but does is make any sense? We would pay for services after its complete! Or do you think we will run? SCAM We was transferred from mediclinic Al Sufouh to Mediclinic City Hospital. We pay 2,000 dirham (600$) and don’t get any help. For simple drainage of abscess they asked 35,000 dirham (10,000$). We was shocked. All staff extremely slow, we spend 5 hours in this hospital and get 0 help. One doctor look and call another doctor, another look and call another doctor. No one don’t want do the job unless you pay 35,000 dirham. We pay 2,000 dirham for 0 help. Please avoid this hospital because they care only money and not humanity.

I recently had surgery with Dr. Valentina Giaccaglia at Mediclinic City Hospital and I'm grateful for the exceptional care I received. Dr. Valentina Giaccaglia and her team were professional, reassuring, and skilled throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain the procedure, patiently answering all my questions and alleviating any concerns I had. My surgery went smoothly, and the doctor is following me through my recovery as well. Highly recommended and the facility and services are just excellent.

I wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at [City] Hospital. During my visit, I faced significant delays in receiving emergency services, and the medical care provided did not meet my expectations. Additionally, I found the prices to be unreasonably high. I urge you to review the hospital's policies and improve the services offered, including reducing emergency response times and revising pricing for fairness and accessibility. Thank you, Sincerely,

We have been visiting this facility now for over 7 years as a family of 3. Our baby was also delivered here. From my experience this place stands head and shoulders above any other facility that we have seen so far in Dubai! right from the doctors to the staff have been cooperative, helpful and professional. Personally I have no reason to look beyond this place for any healthcare needs. Wanted to take this opportunity to say a big thank you!

Long term patients of this hospital. However, Absolutely terrible hospital if you have covid. My father went to the ER with covid symptoms - clueless doctor wanted to send him home with some medications - pending the swab result. After I insisted they do further testing, turned out he had a silent pneumonia and was admitted. Understandably, they don't let anyone stay with him. On the covid floor - they were hugely understaffed - 1-2 doctors for 30+ patients and 4-5 nurses. Infection control was terrible because the mentality is "everyone has covid". The Dr would pass once a day and when he asked to consult again with him - they said he was busy with another patient and never showed up. They are hugely understaffed. I felt helpless because he was alone and we couldn't do anything. We assumed that they would be giving him the best treatment. They billed the insurance company 45k for sub standard quality of care.

56 hours and still no result of PCR. Please go elsewhere if you need the result within 48h. They should consider closing down this tent. Have spoken to 4 different employees in their call center and they keep saying that there is a technical glitch only this weekend. I should have read the reviews prior to my visit. There are atleast 10 reviews about a delay. I don't see any action being taken.

Its just a clean and nice building. I did not have good experience there. I did a brain MRI in Mediclinic City Hospital and found the surgeon and the radiologist very incompetent to give me a clear picture of my condition. I visited them twice to understand the MRI result but I received inconsistent information from their surgeon and radiologist. Even, their interpretations were not confirming each other!!! Then, I had to refer to another hospital to see another radiologist to interpret the MRI to understand the condition. After consulting with the other hospital radiologist, I learned that City Hospital both surgeon and radiologist interpretations were incorrect. Also, City Hospital surgeon did not contact me after he passed me to the radiologist to double check if his diagnosis was correct or not and to discuss the path forward. He did not care at all. I do not recommend this hospital if you are concern about your health. Period.

I don't know if I have so much luck or others do not share positive feedback, but I had a best experience with that site regarding PCR testing. After failing in quite few places all over Dubai since Friday morning till almost midnight (closed, appointment needed and first slot on Tuesday, ridiculous waiting time etc.) I accidentally spotted this place. Waited 15 min tops, very gentle procedure and result in 7 hours !!! They saved me from 10 days of isolation when I almost lost my hope for getting results by my requested deadline. Great thanks.

Being a Physician who had worked at Mediclinic City Hospital in the past, when my friend called for advice could not suggest any other hospital. The swift action of Dr. Elsa Madot in the emergency department and the immediate technical expertise of Mr. K Shunnar saved my young friend from complications. Thank you City Hospital for the high standard of care, Truly respected locally and recognized internationally.

My husband has been waiting for his PCR results for over 56 hours and the hospital is not able to give any timelines. The hospital should consider closing down this tent if the promised timeline is not met. We have tried calling the call center atleast 10 times from this morning and they keep saying that there is a technical glitch only this weekend. We have also sent an email to the address mentioned by one of the them - and there is no response yet as well. We should have read the google reviews prior to my visit. There are more than 10 reviews about PCR test delays and this is unexpected. I don't see any action taken by the Hospital.

did the swabtest last saturday and from there tgey told me its maximum 48hours! Almost 48hours now my result is not available. I whatsapp mediclinic and now they said 72hours!!!!! I have been waiting for my result as I am very sick. Why other test centers was able to provide withib 24hours!!! Such a big lie and very incopetent service. You should have said that 72hrs turn around so i should hAve done it elsewhere. I guess you want tge patient to die or make worse before getting the result I am very dissapointed..... 2 days i couldnt sleep well as i am badly waiting dor my result

Visted Medclinc tent to do Covid-19 test and it was a horrible experince. It was 45 min process per car which is a ridiculous duration for drive through service due to the lousy management, manual work, and lack of staff. You have to fill paper for each visitor using unsanitised pen used across all visitors. The paper are then passed to admin who manualy need to type the info for each visitor and then pass it to nurse to do the swap. The system should be smart enough to automatically get all info from Emirates ID instead of the manual work that takes forever and open for mistakes. It is now pass 24 hr. and did not receive my results yet. I recommend closing down the tent as the management is not proffesional enough to handel and offer this service.

Mediclinic City Hospital is providing excellent service as the usual Mediclinic standard. The facility is old but service is very much up to the level. I visited Dr. Richard Jones - GP this evening after a bad experience in other clinic. I was impressed by his willing to help attitude and professional medical knowledge. The consult is very thorough and you can see the clear criteria that he is following. I used to work with an American Hospital so I’m familiar with those standards. He explained to me exactly what will happen next, when to do the labs and what will happen with the referral orders. His nurse is also being very supportive. I’d highly recommend Dr. Richard if you need assistance from Family Medicine/ Primary Care.

Terrible management!!! 2nd time here: the reception gave me a number and email to ask for the report. Nobody answers the call and nobody replys the email. The management is a mess. 3rd time here: I wait outside for more than one hour. it's 40 degree outside. I don't know how long time I should wait for our turn to get tested.

We have been visiting City Hospital for many years now. The quality of care we have received has always been excellent. When we were last in Dubai we dropped in to see if I could be checked out by Dr. Aleem. Luckily and with much thanks he was able to find a slot in his schedule that day for me. I had my check up and scans, he looked at the results, prescribed me some medicine and most of all put my mind at rest with 'it's nothing sinister' - all in one same day service.

The worst reception and admin staff are in this hospital in the dermatology department. I had my appointment at 12 (booked 2 weeks ago, cause it’s hard to find a spot) and then they decide to let someone else infront of me without any appointment. On top of that they don’t have enough parking and if you want to do valet parking they only accept cash.

I'm grateful to Doctor Jameel Akrash and his team for professionalism and handling the unpredicted situation on a very high level. In addition to being professional as a medical staff Dr. Jameel and the team treat the patients with humanity, sharing care and attention which so important when one is sick. The hospital facility, nurses and doctors are great but I had an upsetting experience with the dietician, Sara, who has the gall to tell me about how unqualified the staff are at the OBGYN clinic i go to. That is totally unprofessional. And for her to assume I just eat white rice and fried food is just completely dismal. I had recordings of my meals and she did not even bother to understand my side and just steamroll the whole conversation. Extremely poor attitude, she has no right to assume such. I think a dietician can advice one's diet without having to be so condescending. Upsetting.

The worst emergency department ever! It was my second time in this hospital yet nothing changed. I have to write a review based on my experience. 10th June 2021, I had breathing difficulty and pain on my right rib cage when i move in certain position. I went to the emergency department Dr. Samia Yunas suggested that I have to take Blood test, Muscle movement scan, X-ray and CTscan. I was waiting for 5-6 hours in the emergency room to take those test. Once I have completed the test there was no proper explanation by Dr.Samia Yunas and I haven't seen my X-ray Test. She just briefly said everything clear and I book appointment for you with another Doctor next week. The result of my pain is still unspecified. I had to leave because I haven't eaten anything from 10 AM - 4PM. Before I leave I asked for my X-ray result and my Medical certificate (Sick Leave). One of the nurse told me that it will be emailed to me. However, I haven't got the result and yet I just received a call today that I need to pay for my Medical Certificate or Sick Leave. It is a disappointment.

The service is very slow. No proper care in emergency department especially. I brought my sister in an ambulance and no doctor moved to check on her although she was shivering. I had to beg doctors to see her and they were rude to me. When my sister was admitted and did a surgery we paid for her sick leave and it took us 6 days calling every day to ask for the document and nothing we received. We raised requests and called every day and nothing happened. No respect for people right no service no body cares to call back. I do not reccomend this hospital for anyone

The only word they have to meet and greet is - (YESS!!) and no eye contact at all. 2) Not approachable At All 3) Don’t have enough info about their services, 4) Miss guiding clients to different places, (which is bringing a more problem to the patient) 5) Not Helpful with clients needs. My laparoscopic hysterectomy was performed in mid Oct 2021 at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai. Having never had the need for surgery before, I was terrified but understood that the procedure was necessary sooner, rather than later. I was referred to Dr Labib Riachi by my regular gynaecologist, Dr Ghada Al Batran who explained that Dr Riachi had been on boarded to the Mediclinic team as a leading Specialist in Advanced Robotic Gynaecological surgery. Upon meeting Dr Riachi I was most impressed with: - His surgical expertise and his experiences acquired abroad. - His ability to patiently explain what a hysterectomy via robotic surgery entailed - His willingness to have you ask as many questions, no matter how trivial they were - His sense of humour, no nonsense, calm and professional demeanour. Leading up to and post surgery, Dr Riachi was with me all the way, reassuring me when I started to ‘overthink’, checking in from time to time to ensure that I was comfortable. It has been over a week after my surgery, and Dr Riachi continues to keep me updated with my pathology results and my overall well being. I could not have asked for a better surgeon to walk me through such a nerve wracking procedure. Furthermore, I would also like to give a huge shout out to the nurses on Level 4 that assisted with my post op recovery, namely; - Ailein, Melody, Emilin, Bisoun, and Heidee. These ladies are Mediclinic Angels, that are extremely accommodating, enthusiastic, prompt and most caring. Based on my positive experiences at Mediclinic City Hospital with Dr Riachi and his team of Mediclinic Angels, I would most definitely recommend this establishment as a “go to” for a laparoscopic hysterectomy. You will be looked after extremely well.

The pharmacy is the downside in this hospital. Just last Thursday, we have approached the counter at 09:36am with prescription given and we left at 10:21am. This is not the first time and perhaps the management of the hospital should analyze and investigate the entire process. The service time must not reach over 15 minutes waiting. Good luck.

Dr.Valentina Giaccaglia is one of the best doctor's(surgeon) I have come across so far. Before starting the treatment itself, she asked me about my family and was empathic . Goes above and beyond her duties. She is veryyy kind and down to earth Individual.I have seen a lot of doctors recently however she is very knowledgeable and accommodating with patients. I strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for any general surgergical procedures.Thank you Mediclinic !!

I have been diagnosed with anterior vaginal wall prolapse, also called Cystocoele. This condition has impacted negatively my lifestyle. I used to enjoy running, jogging and cycling, but recently it has become a rather unpleasant experience. Dr. Labib, God bless him, allowed me to regain my confidence and my lifestyle. He solved my problem through a surgery called Anterior Vaginal Repair. It strengthens the support layer between the vagina and the bladder. The surgery was a great success. It went on smoothly, with a minimal post-op discomfort. I recovered fast and within a month was back to my usual life. Dr. Labib was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He explained the whole procedure to me and provided me with the related literature to be able to prepare for the surgery (in spite of it being a minor surgery) both physically and mentally. Furthermore, Dr. Labib through his kind and reassuring approach, managed to gain my full trust, and erase any doubts or fears I might have had. I consider myself very lucky to have had Dr. Labib around when I needed this operation. He is a truly exceptional person both on professional and personal level. As we say home he has golden hands and golden heart as well. Thank you again doctor for everything.

I took my 4-year-old daughter to the pediatric emergency department at Mediclinic City Hospital at DHC on May 31, 2022, at 11:45 p.m., because she had a high fever of 40.03 degrees. The doctor came in and asked the nurse to give her medicine to reduce her fever; once her fever had subsided, the doctor examined her and prescribed some lab tests, including a respiratory panel test; the doctor then told us that we could go home and continue giving her fever medicine for the time being, and that once the lab test results will come, he would call us and update us on what medication to use. The baby had a high temperature of 39.9 degrees again after a few hours at home. When we gave the fever medicine, the fever went down for 2 to 3 hours and then came back up. We waited for a call from the hospital, but after 2 days there was no call or update, so we called the hospital customer service and asked for the lab test results. They sent the test result for the Respiratory panel, which was positive. It's been four days since I heard from the doctor or the hospital about what antibiotics to take for the infection. Never expected such shoddy medical care from such a large corporation.

I had terrible experience with Mediclinic city hospital. I went to the hospital on 15th June early in the morning with full sweat due to high fever and had cold and anti-histamine tab. When security person saw me driving with these difficulty he insisted me to park the car in basement (even multiple parking were free infront of emergency). After parking car with great difficulty I reached to emergency and opened my file immediately and went to the ER room no. 14. I waited for about 10 minutes they observed my vitals. After another 15 minutes nurse informed me that the shift is changing so I have to wait for some time to see a physician. After waiting for another 25 minutes, physician came and suggested Throat swab for antigen, culture and Covid test ( gave me regular medicine for cold). Physician informed me that they will contact me if swab positive otherwise Covid report will be informed in the afternoon. After waited for long I called Mediclinic city hotline number and even through whatsapp, they did not respond me properly and just said that they conveyed the message to concerned dept. Now in the evening I got message from DHA that I am positive for Covid, then again I asked mediclinic to suggest me further and make me talk to physician but it did not happened. On next day 16th June, Mediclin finally called me and informed that I have telemedicine call around 3 PM with physician from Parkview hospital. Around 3 PM physician prescribed some medicine and she informed me that they will be delivering medicine at my home. Mediclinic got approval from my insurance company on same time. After waiting so long I called mediclinic for all the medicines but again same circle started, Customer care team informing me that they conveyed message to concerned department and they will deliver it soon after asking again and again. After this terrible incident I called of nearby pharmacy to get Panadol cold(day) for some relief. Next day on 17th June I got message that Mediclinic had rejected my approved medicine and there was no conversation from there side at all regarding this with me. I had to go through so much with this kind of services.

My son was born at Mediclinic City Hospital under the guidance of the wonderful midwives & Dr. Kavita. I always felt supported, listened to & my wishes for a natural physiological birth honored, and had an empowering waterbirth. The aftercare was wonderful & the nurses on level 6 were always on hand to help with breastfeeding & any newborn questions I had. Overall a great hospital & experience.

Wonderful experience today at A&E department of hospital. Firstly, I was in and out within less than one hour. Saw a doctor within 15 minutes of arriving despite being an overseas visitor who had to be registered for the first time. The Doctor (Phillip Pieter Furstenburg) was first class and really took the time to speak to me and explain everything. So nice after being in the USA and UK for so long where things are rushed. Well done Mediclinic and Dr Furstenburg and team for your care and efficiency.

My son was in the emergency a couple of days ago. After reading his medical report I noticed that they have mentioned wrong information and conflicting information on his medical report. His blood test showed that he had a bacterial infection and the Dr verbally informed me that it was viral. You might think it was a misunderstanding but it is also written on his medical discharge summary. Also he wasn’t given any antibiotics. Only after my son got worse I seeked another another doctor whom noticed it and as soon as my son started with the correct medication that he got better. This is extremely irresponsible and doctors need to be held responsible. Also from the verbal conversation I had with the doctor it showed me clearly he didn’t read my sons file. Oh, and I tried calling to talk to someone about this but apparently they have different 800 numbers for each region and no one answers the phone. I hope that someone from Mediclinic reaching out to me because in the end of the day writing this review on hope to avoid someone really paying the price from a careless or busy or unconcerned doctor.

Dr Kavita is an outstanding Gynecologist, she is super professional, with amazing bedside manners and her experience is obvious when she talks and explains things to you. She was on top of things throughout the pregnancy. I was planning to have a natural delivery and she supported my decision all the way , however in the end my baby was an unstable lye and ended up breech 2 days before his due date. She acted swiftly to do a quick scan with the foetal medicine doctor to ensure she know exactly her plan of action and we went ahead with the C-section. She knew how I was not keen on epidural, so she came into the theatre early to hold my hand. And give me reassurance when they did the spinal for the procedure. She got my baby out so quick and safely while simultaneously training students in the process, that shows the experience on her sleeves. She also popped in to my ward every day to check in on how I was doing. I would definitely use her again as my gynecologist and I have already started recommending her to friends and family.

I have been visiting city hospital for many years with my children and Doctor Kashif has always been the most amazing doctor in A and E. He has always followed up when we have been admitted and he always goes above and beyond and makes you feel like your children are in excellent hands with him. Most recently we met Nurse Alpha who was also extremely supportive. A massive thank you to them both for all their help to make my daughter better, I was really pleased that they were both on shift.

Firstly, I would want to deeply thank Dr Tarek Abuzakuk for saving my legs after a near death experience which left my left knee and right ankle crushed. I am now fully able to perform at the gym and stronger than ever. He’s seriously the best Orthopedic Surgeon you can find in Dubai! Secondly, I want to thank the entire team at Mediclinic for their flawless service. Well trained nurses and all digital systems in place.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care and compassion provided by Dr.Kavita Goswami during my mother's recent visit. From the moment we stepped into her office, we were greeted with warmth and a genuine concern for my mother's well-being. She took the time to thoroughly understand my mother's medical history, concerns and created a comfortable and safe environment. She went beyond the typical doctor-patient relationship, offering emotional support and reassurance during the entire process and made my mother feel at ease the entire time. Her ability to create a comfortable environment, listen attentively, and explain complex medical concepts and most importantly attentively undertaken the medical procedure with so much care is truly remarkable. We are grateful for the exceptional care she provided my mother and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking the highest standards of medical care.

We were so well looked after and there’s also extras/ gifts too which really make the experience special. My obstetrician was Dr Kavita Goswami, who I cannot recommend highly enough. She was so compassionate of my wishes and I felt in safe hands throughout the entire journey.

I presented to the ED yesterday. I was under the care of Dr. Phillip Furstenburg, and RN Ms. Sana John . Both showed exemplary bedside manners and utmost care and professionalism, tests were carried rather quickly and I was provided with relevant updates in a timely manner. All in all, I have been discharged and am very pleased by the outcome of my visit. Sending a special thank you and my best wishes to Ms. Sana, Dr. Phillip ,and all staff members involved.

Title: Extremely Disappointed with Lack of Professionalism and Incompetence Review: I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with the treatment we received at [Mediclinic city hospital] Emergency Department. My wife and I brought our son there after he ingested a foreign body, expecting to receive prompt, competent, and specialized care. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were seen by a doctor who openly admitted their lack of experience in handling such cases. Despite our background as physicians, we were shocked to hear the doctor's dismissive remarks about our concerns. We overheard the same doctor referring to us as "crazy" and making derogatory comments about our actions to another physician over the phone. This unprofessional behavior left us feeling unheard, demeaned, and disrespected. Moreover, the hospital staff informed us that they lacked the necessary expertise and specialty for cases like ours, which is both alarming and unacceptable. Instead of providing proper care, they merely opted for observation without pursuing other appropriate measures. The safety and well-being of our son should have been their top priority, but it seemed as though we were not taken seriously due to our professional background. In the end, the hospital decided to transfer our son to another facility for further management. While we appreciate the action they took to address our son's needs, the entire experience at [Mediclinic City Hospital] was marred by their lack of skill, professionalism, and empathy. As medical professionals ourselves, we understand the challenges that hospitals face and the importance of maintaining a high standard of care. However, it is disheartening to witness such incompetence and disregard for patient concerns, especially from a healthcare institution that should prioritize the well-being of those seeking assistance. We hope that our feedback will prompt [Mediclinic City Hospital] to reflect upon their shortcomings and take necessary steps to improve their staff's competence, professionalism, and overall quality of care. Patients, regardless of their background, deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and expertise when seeking medical attention. We sincerely hope that no other family has to endure the distressing experience we went through and that necessary changes are implemented to ensure that patients receive the competent and compassionate care they deserve. I have been to the physiotherapy department at city hospital and I was very thrilled with the experience from the receptionists to the greatest therapist ever, Ziada. She is one a kind in understanding the issue and explaining the therapy plan and the reasoning in a very simple way that the patient understands easily. She keeps track of her recommendations and does follow up during the following session on the progress and results. I do feel being so lucky to discover this great therapist. Keep it up.

The worse clinic!! For insurance approval, we have to wait one week!! For blood test and MRI, we have to wait one week!!! Also the patient has to follow with them (call center) or site visit to check about the approval of insurance, otherwise they will not call you and share the status!! In addition, even if you come before you appointment, they will not see the doctor on time (my appointment was at 5:00pm and I saw the doctor at 6:00pm)!!!!!!!!!!!

During the toughest times which we have had to endure, the whole ICU team have been very transparent and clear in the communication. They are professional/courteous and skilled individuals. Also the level of patient family aftercare touches the heart. Just hoping for a positive outcome in the coming days. Also the security team are providing essential round the clock safety with a genuine smile. Thank you all no matter what!

I had my first baby at Mediclinic City nearly 3 weeks ago and I have the say my experience from being admitted through to being discharged from postnatal was excellent. The midwives on the labour ward, the unit manager Shani and my obgyn Dr Maryam were brilliant. I had all the care and support I needed. Everything was explained well and I felt safe even when labour was not progressing exactly as I had hoped for. My baby and I were protected and cared for very well. The post natal care was also fantastic. The nurses and midwives, the food servers, the porters, the physiotherapist that visited day 1 post birth to give some advice, the cleaners...all brilliant. Kind, friendly and respectful of that post partum day 1 and 2 when things can feel very overwhelming. I would definitely have another baby here. Very good care.

To Dr. Kavita and team, I appreciate the way you accommodated me to continue my follow-up visits even I started my first visit during my third trimester. With this, I wanted to say thank you for the support from our first consultation until my successful delivery. It feels like I am at "home" whenever I visit your clinic; the warm welcome, the family-accommodating clinic, and the safety and security. Kudos to your excellent team and continue the tender loving care (TLC) to all the patients.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my negative experience at Medina Hospital. During my last visit to the hospital, I had a very bad experience and I believe it is necessary to clarify these issues to improve the services provided. I experienced significant delays in accessing emergency services, as it took a long time before my case was properly dealt with. Also, the medical services I received were unsatisfactory and did not meet my expectations in any way. In addition, the prices for services at the hospital were found to be unreasonably high, making treatment unaffordable for everyone. I believe it is necessary to review hospital policies and improve the services provided, including reducing the time spent providing emergency services and reviewing pricing to make it more fair and affordable. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and work to improve the quality of services in the future. Thank you for your interest and understanding. Ali alobaidi
