This is my worst travel experience in 20 years. I have reservation #23020859916 from 20 Feb 2023 to 26 Feb 2023, but hotel was cancelled my booking 19 Feb 2023 without any contacts with me. The hotel does not answer phone calls, emails or whatsapp!

Although I booked 3 days before my arrival and was given the confirmation number, when arriving there to the hotel they told me that my reservation was canceled!! It was just because I arrived late and the hotel rooms were full. They didn’t inform me for such cancellation!! Me and my children were all tired. They didn’t even apologize. I stayed in my car outside the hotel for some time calling other different hotels in Sharjah to stay there until I found one.

I was on this hotel between 28/12 to1/1/23 and it was horrible. Once I arrived I found that the room was not booked for family they give me to choose between smoking room or twin beds which means they were not care about my booking because the money already taken. They promised me to change the room next day and I was so indulgent but no body take care and I kept going to reception every day and night telling them the same story but it seem it was not so important and this I discovered because nobody checked the note book. And once I checked out I didn’t felt any body care.They treat me as a homeless and they offered this room to me .I will never ever come to this property.I seem they change their treatment depends on the seasons

Despite its glamorous façade, it's far from a restful sanctuary for travelers, and here's why. I chose this hotel specifically for its proximity to Sharjah Airport, given my 1 AM flight. I was on the 11th floor, and considering the early departure, I hit the sack at 8 PM. Enter the mayhem: the room next door housed children who seemed to mistake their room for a playground. Now, I’m a parent of two, so I understand kids will be kids. But the incessant screaming, shouting, and noise-making was unbearable. Between 8 PM and 12:15 AM, I reached out to reception four times. Their assurance each time? "We'll send someone to look into it." And yet, no one showed up. Not a single staff member took the initiative to rectify a situation that completely marred my stay. In the realm of five-star hotels, guests expect peace, quiet, and immediate action when it comes to issues. The Act Hotel failed spectacularly on all counts. If your idea of a 5-star hotel includes paper-thin walls and nonexistent customer service, then by all means, this is your haven. And don't even get me started on the rooftop jacuzzi—an additional selling point that turned out to be a letdown. It was nonfunctional and appeared to lack cleanliness, further tarnishing the hotel's claim to luxury. In summary, The Act Hotel is at best a 3-star establishment masquerading as something it's not. I regret booking this hotel and will not be making the mistake of staying here again. For those in the hospitality industry striving for excellence, let this serve as a cautionary tale. it doesn't deserve to be 5-Star Hotel, it barely deserve to be 4-star hotel. 1) Wifi is to week and it disconnect. 2) There is no control over the AC and you can't control it your self. 3) Most of the switches are loose. 4) No soundproofing , you can hear the wind blowing and whistling , you can hear everything from the street. 4) don't get tricked by the lagoon view, you'll be exposed by the resident building in front of you ( not comfortable for couples).and it is away from the lagoon.

I've been a member of the ACT Hotel's health club for years now, and while there are definitely some positive aspects, there are also a few issues that have been bothering me. The pool, spa, gym, and sauna facilities are generally good and have served my family well. However, I must say that I'm disappointed with the maintenance of the pool. For weeks now, I've noticed that a lot of tiles in the pool area are off, and it's disappointing to see that they haven't been fixed. The lack of attention to this issue makes it evident that the hotel needs to improve its maintenance standards. What's more concerning is that I haven't seen any significant renovation or improvement in the pool area for years. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and invests in maintaining and upgrading the pool facilities. As a long-term member, I believe that consistent upkeep is crucial to providing a satisfying experience for all health club members.

I stayed in this Hotel with 2 kids we had the best stay all the staff we're amazing it had a kids area which was very clean lots of toys for children to play with, clean swimming area I had pedicure and menicure there which was lovely Special thanks to Deon and his amazing team they made our stay extra special. 100% recommend

The rooms were good and clean but the service overall was not bad but worse ever. There is no respect and bad attitude from the employees. Very cheap quality of key cards, stop working very easy. Not recommended.

Stay away from this place, try to pay a bit more somewhere else if you want to have a pleasant experience. They are not helpful and they are committing some type of fraud. After arriving to the hotel, they "did not have my information" I was almost left me stranded without a place to stay. After finally "finding my information" they placed me in a room where I experienced AC issues. Please stay away, these people need to learn a lesson because they are not doing a good job.

I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff were cordial and the room was really clean spacious n comfortable. I missed my Air Arabia connecting flight n Air Arabia arranged my stay here till the next connecting flight. If l get a chance to visit Sharjah, would definitely choose this hotel without a second thought👍😄❤️.

The rooms are great and comfortable. But the employees at the reception are not helpful and we wait for more than 30m for the check in. They don’t have a good communication skills at all.

Hotel might be good but my experience with Health Club and Spa staff is terrible. Specifically Mr. Shaji and Mahesh ! not respectful to talk and advoid them. I recommended them to take some Customer Management training! I asked them for call back by managmenet Mr. Joyce however they seems not intrested to listen. Avoid their gym membership! It was like a scam for me where my 3 months payment of 2500 is felt like a loss with minimal customer satisfaction. !! Thanks alot.

This is the worst hotel in the history of hotels. The staff is so uncoordinated and the manager is extremely rude. The tried to kick our guests out a day earlier even tho the paperwork said 5 days. They dont try to help in any sort of way and the manager is worst one. He just keeps saying unfortunately but its the hotel fault for hiring him. Very horrible experience. The only reason it has a star is because i cannot post the review without it. We paid good money to stay here and it was the worst mistake. The housekeeping comes extremely late. The AC stops working in the middle and the engineer arrives after ure covered in sweat. Disgusting experience and horrible staff who lie to you to make you book the hotel and take your money as a deposit. I dont know if this is cuz they might get commissions or what the deal is, but it was the most embarrassing thing having ur guests kicked out a day earlier than booked, going back and forth for multiple hours and then they come and apologize saying it was a “misunderstanding” even tho we were the ones who suffered. So unprofessional, they should fire the staff and especially the manager. Extremely rude man. 0/10 experience. Dont come here. Save yourself the trouble of being kicked out, suffering and staying and begging to get your house cleaned, cooled or resting. It seems like a hassle being here.

The Hotel has a very nice ambiance the rooms are nice and spacious! Room lights are dim! Should have more lights available in the room! Only two staff member of the hotel available at the breakfast area!

I don’t know how they classified this Hotel as a 5 star Hotel, I don’t give it even 3 star. First of all the Hotel ignored and never replied to my special request through booking or whatsapp. I requested a higher floor with a sea-view if it is available. The front office was not friendly or helpful, he was not wearing a name badge even, and he gave me the worst room in the Hotel telling that the Hotel is fully booked which was not true since more than half of rooms were empty. The room was not clean (I have photos) dirty finger prints everywhere, fridge was not working, cups were dirty, no tea spoon, kettle cover was broken, no slipper and when I requested they brought only one while the room was for 2 adults, desk light stand was not fitted properly to the wall, pillows smell dusty,I waited like 30 mins under the shower waiting for the hot water to reach, I requested a blanket and they provided a very very old one, the room has a terrible view (sand parking and garbage containers view). I will never go there again since I had a very bad experience and I do not recommend it to anybody.

The swimming pool was very nicely designed and was fun to use, but otherwise the room had a moldy smell throughout our stay, the food was very average and the hotel overall was just very unwelcoming.

Had a gathering there for a farewell. It was fantastic, food was great and above expeditions, staff was ok, but not very friendly, but it’s fine. Conceriage was excellent big time. Thank you and keep it up

Nice place we use only pool not stayed at hotel but we have really great time with family at pool children so happy really enjoyed. My daughter get her first manicure done she was amazed. Really yummy food for sure we gonna come back ❤️

Booked a room at noon. During the check in at around 8 pm, i surprised that she (morning shift reservations) didnt make the booking for me in the system. So, i was left without booking and went to another hotel to search for a new booking. Reservations didnt offer any help.

I went to the health club for massages. They were amazing. I had the Cleopatra one. Body scrub, massage then a fabulous facial. Pedicures are available. Loved it.

the worst experience ever, after reaching got to know we will not get the premium suite which we booked almost a month in advance. reason being rooms having leakage issue and existing guests extended time till 6 pm , so they also paid it and they got the price from us as well. the receptionists (karim , glicy ) are worst , they suggested after an good amount of argument that please cancel the booking and we travelled all the way from al ain. the attitude was so bad and annoying. later they adjusted 5+1 of us in 2 separate studio room and also had the audacity to call those room as premium. now over the phone the reservation manager promised to reduce the price and of course he is not picking the call.

The gotel and rooms are well designed, yet it's super noisy, zero sound proofing between the rooms, uncomfortable bed , and the housekeeping should be really be better. We have asked clearly for a quiet family room, and we got the noisiest one. All in all, It's really not a 5 stars hotel , it's not recommended at all.

I'm really happy with my experience here, it's an amazing hotel I definitely do recommend it. The service was excellent, and the food was in my opinion the best part of the entire experience. 11/10

Good one! Stayed 1 night and not disappointed. Clean, not busy, nice restaurant and varied breakfast for add. 50. Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants, walking. Near palm park and bay front where you can jogging. All famous fast food point are near.

Read the bad reviews, didn’t believe it, so I called the room reservation to check for prices … took 10 minutes for them to transfer me back to the help desk who had no clue about their room rates. Incompetence at its finest !

We booked one night at the hotel. Having travelled 3 hours in awful traffic as it was the weekend from Abu dhabi we envisaged our room that was already booked to be ready. The children were hungry and tired (was 9pm), and we just wanted to check-in and sleep. Upon arriving at the desk they told me my booking was suddenely cancelled!! As they had too many guests - no explanation - nothing! If my booking was cancelled - why not think to call me so to book another hotel prior!! I could not believe it!! they offered another room but not what we booked and was not suitable at all. The manager never apologized and just left us there totally bewildered and shocked. He continued to chat to other ‘unmasked’ guests and went to smoke outside, not even to offer an upgrade or anything. Absolutely disgusted and would never stay there ever again. Save your money and stay somewhere else where guests are respected and treated with dignity and care. Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 10years, this has to be one of the worst I have come across.

Rooms are neat and clean very good. while booking through site, make sure they inculded free breakfast and no of person in the booking. Booking site not confirmed for free breakfast and number person even though mentioned in our requirements . You may have to pay additional cost.

This hotel is very clean, staff are very accommodating and friendly staff! We enjoy our breakfast buffet each morning, but very disappointed in the dinner we had at the same restaurant. I had the grilled shrimp dinner, and the shrimp were cold and dry. My husband had the grilled chicken dinner and he ate one third of the chicken which was cooked but the other two thirds of the chicken was raw. They apologized for this, but did not do anything about the problem. They could have suggested to cook it more, but didn't! We thought something was a little off when we were the only 2 diners in the place. My suggestion is not to have dinner in the restaurant. We paid for our dinner, and would not return. Should have looked at some of the reviews on the restaurant prior to going! Our mistake! The hotel was a wonderful place to stay though!

The rooms are spacious and items are available upon request but the cleanliness of the room was questionable, and room has a broken switch and broken kitchennete. The toilet was badly lit and badly ventilated too and the breakfast was disappointing. Google says it's 4 stars which is more believable than the 5 star rating they allegedly have.

1. Check-in is slow: The man at counter kept answering phone calls rather than processing my check-in 2. Wrong room: I booked a non-smoking room, for 2 adults and one baby. They gave me a smoking room although I specified that I have a baby 3. Panio was not clean: Found water was yellow when I filled the panio 4. Breakfast: just no options. also, I asked the waiter to give me a little of the oat to take out for my baby, he refused saying "policy does not allow it" 5. no vent in the bathroom (or its not working) 6. Room services never answers your calls. I kept calling to ask for water, laundry, but no answer. tried two different times, all the numbers. 7. good point: the rooms are generally clean 8. customer service: they promise they will send someone, they never come to you. For example, we went to our room, they said they will send the key to us. we kept waiting at the corridor. I had to go back to reception to get the key. This will be my last time here. If you have a family, dont come here.

Five star hotel in the heart of Sharjah. Clean and good environment. Big rooms with the good view. Big swimming pool, with jacuzzi. Sauna room, steam room and cold pool available. The best part was ice cold pool recommended for athletes post workout recovery. It was my first experience with the cold pool. Not for kids so don't try the cold pool. Separate play area for kids. Breakfast was good as well. Near to Noor Island

Rooms are very nice good class furniture, bathroom s are classy too. Room size moderate, automation and Lighting very good , overall interior is good, breakfast restaurant is spacious and nice buffet area. Only drawback the entry area, lobby, lift area dosent look like 5 star. Feels like ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We just spent one night there as we were staying in Sharjah, it’s a clean and descent 4 star hotel, haven’t tried any service or the food.

From Dubai Airport to the hotel it takes approx. 15-20min without traffic. The food served (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) is amazing. In the morning there is a wide variety of food inspired from different countries. Also vegetarian friendly. Staff is very friendly and serviceminded! I was most impressed of the food! for me as a vegetarian I cannot complain. Hotel room was big and with a lovely view of the lake/cityview. Cleaning is very good, hardworking and dedicated people to clean the room everyday. from the lobby, reception, kitchen, restaurant and gym I can only say positive things about the staff! the ONLY minus is the distance to Dubai, which by taxi can take 1.5hours if there is traffic. The taxi ride to Dubai will cost around 80-120 dirham.

My flight from Dubai Airport was 8 hours away and I was searching for a hotel nearby to rest. But because it was a weekend there wasn’t any available room in any hotel nearby. The Act hotel is only 15 minutes away from DXB airport and I was lucky to get the last room.

I am from South Africa and I stayed here for 3 months in 2022. The workers at the door and the front desk were extremely helpful and so friendly. They created such a pleasant environment that the hotel felt like home. Hopefully I will get a room with a better view the next time I visit.

Extremely bad service. Receptionists were very rude and had so much attitude. Housekeeping came in the evening some 6 hours after we called them. Rooms are OK but because of the service and extremely unpleasant attitude of staff I would rather call this a 2 star hotel not a 5 star hotel.
