    Not recommended place. Only good thing was polite and kind staff. Rooms were very dirty, very unventilated and stuffy. Sink bowl drain almost choked and you have to wait draining. Other rooms they opened their door and smoking cigarette and playing loud music. It was my business trip and night time really somebody having party or maybe wedding party there I dont know but too much noise coming to room fortunately I was very tired and felt a sleep last remember 0130am still they were having party when they stop really don't know. Also when I checked in there was no towel inside that I had to ask for a towel and 2nd day they gave me, first day I used my own towel. Breakfast lunch or dinner okay some varieties and they were okay. Furthermore it is not a family hotel I can say. In hotel all couches all things kind of have stains. Even my bed sheets looks like white however it you look and focus too much stains you can see. I can understand oldstyle and dashy but that loud at night, cigarette smell, stuffy and dirty not acceptable.

    This hotel is for single people and it’s very loud with music. On top of that room 439 have lots of cockroaches πŸͺ³ please be careful to book this hotel. They are only open to make money nothing else and when you complain they will promise something like free breakfast and room upgrades πŸ€”. It’s not good hotel at all if you are with your family please stay away from this hotel at all cost.

    Hey there! I wanted to share my recent experience at a hotel I booked. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great one. I arrived at the hotel at around 2 o'clock and asked the reception staff if I could check-in. However, they were really rude and unhelpful, telling me that I couldn't check-in until after 3 pm and not giving me a specific time for when my room would be available. I was really disappointed by the staff's behavior. As someone who works in customer service myself, I know how important it is to make guests feel welcome and valued. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that regard. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on my experience. While the location and amenities may be good, customer service is just as important when it comes to choosing a hotel. I hope that the hotel takes feedback like mine into account and works to improve their customer service for future guests.

    Very Bad experience, very bad hotel, worst staff that I have ever experienced zero communication skills they don't how to talk to the guest, and very rude, they didn't even know what is the hospitality is, the room are full of cockerages and insects, and not clean at all with bad smell, even I request to clean the room and no one respond, very annoying u can't sleep at night because of the loud voice of the music all night. I don't recommend this hotel at all, lost of money. Even I don't recommend for families because of the bad people will meet inside the hotel.

    The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was also very cooperated. Buffet was good but has limited options. Be on time otherwise you will miss your breakfast. The location of hotel was also very good. It has good mix of restaurants and local market near by. You can by gift items like chocolates, perfume , cloths etc. for your self and your friends and family at cheap prices.

    I had made a reservation for a 5-night stay at this Hotel, and I must say that I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. While the location is indeed commendable, the service left much to be desired. To start with, the breakfast was far from satisfactory. The quality of the food was subpar, and it did not meet the standards I expected for a place of this reputation. This was particularly disappointing as breakfast is an important part of any hotel stay, and it set a negative tone for my day. Additionally, I encountered a significant issue with room service. Despite making multiple calls to the reception, no one from the staff came to attend to my requests. This lack of responsiveness was not only frustrating but also inconvenient, as it impeded my ability to enjoy a comfortable stay. While the location of the Hotel is indeed a positive aspect, it is clear that the service quality does not match the price and reputation of the place. I had high expectations for my stay, but unfortunately, those expectations were not met. It is my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and takes steps to improve the service quality, as it would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests. In its current state, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this Hotel to others.

    Grand Excelsior Hotel is the worst hotel in the world. They have not spared any chance to disappoint me. I was traveling alone, and unfortunately, I chose Grand Excelsior Deira for my stay. They rooms were mentioned non smoking but the rooms were smelly as hell. Washroom was not clean even. They charged me for boiling water in the kettle. Also there is no facility for international chargers. It was not damaged even. They did not give me towels, did not clean my room for three days. Despite asking many times, they did not give me a weighing scale. It was a pathetic experience. I told them twice for wake up call. They did not do that even. Despite of calling six times, they did not send concierge person to help with the luggage. I had to get it by myself. Do not fall for the lower prices; they will keep on adding this damage and that damage and get money out of your pockets. Instead get a nice hotel for your hassle-free stay. There are many good hotels in Dubai. Please do not stay with them.

    We have never been more disappointed with a stay. My wife and I booked this hotel on agoda for 8 nights, the entire duration of our Dubai vacation. First of all, when we booked the room the amenities showed the hotel has a pool. We paid the price assuming we will be able to access the pool everyday in the summer before the heat hits at 10 am. Once here, we were told that the pool in this hotel is not functional and that they can arrange transportation to one of their other hotels. We agreed to it reluctantly given we had already paid for the hotel in full. The night duty staff told us to contact the morning manager to access the pool in the other location, the morning manager tells me the next day that we need to inform one day in advance if we want to access the pool at 9 am, otherwise transportation is available after 10 am. Please remember that we are visiting Dubai in the peak of summer at 102 degrees and the heat hits as early as 8 am here. The pool is expected to be heated up by 10 am and it is not a covered pool. After a lot of arguments and transfers, we finally give up and decide to call in the evening to make a transfer request for the next morning at 9 am. Again, we are told to call in the morning. When we press and explain the situation to them, they tell us that even though the pool opens at 9 am, they cannot get us to the pool at 9 am and that we can reach earliest at 10. The cal lasted 17 mins and we had to talk to multiple people to get to the same conclusion. The fact that they did not disclose that the pool is not functional while we were making the booking has been completely overlooked by the staff and this has become a ridiculous situation of begging to be able to access a pool that we have already paid for as a part of our fees. Not to mention that the reception staff is absolutely not guest friendly when it comes to situations like this so please bear in mind all these facts as you consider booking this hotel for your vacation

    Absolutely disgusting untidy place. Smells comes from every floor. Staff is cooperative but cleanliness is not satisfying. Someone vomit out side our room they clean it and these are the pictures after cleaning. Right now l am in the hotel already paid for 10 days now thinking to refund and looking for a new hotel.

    Location is good and convenient. Many Indian restaurants are located nearby. Friendly staff and good service especially Mushtaq from front desk is helpful. Rooms (including bathrooms) are bit congested and not so great and can be improved. Otherwise its worth to stay in this hotel.

    So far I stayed in lot of hotels but this is the worst experience I felt in this hotel listed below . 1. When i asked for a dental and shaving kit they told it will be additional cost - which 4 star hotel charges for a toothbrush and paste ? 2. House keeping never the call and if you are lucky then u will get the service requested in 3-4 working hours again insisting if you are lucky 3. When u stay in a room ensure that you don’t sleep until 4 am because they play locus musics and even your bed and entire room will be like u felt an earthquake and no one bothers So pls on a friendly note I am saying pls avoid this hotel forever in dubai if you are visiting . Also your check in will depend based on the mood of receptionist may be you have to wait for 30 minutes on understanding what the person is doing. Pls consider the above points and take ur decision on choosing this hotel. This is my personal experience and I would rate this as a 2 star lodge instead of 4 star hotel. Especially if you have kids pls avoid this hotel.

    Great place to stay! Good food and great service! All the people working here are really nice and very responsive. Even they provided an additional bottle of water which was not charged for, on my request. The location is good, well connected via road and metro. But, the nearest metro is a little far from the location. We have supermarkets open for 24 hours and you can get food just within walking distance. Airport is also not too far. Highly recommended place if going with friends and family.

    I started a tour to evaluate 4- and 5-star hotels in Dubai that offer $100 USD per night on a weekend. I thought I'd start with this hotel to establish a baseline, and yet I couldn't stay there for one night. The location is good, and some of the staff are really nice, but the hotel has definitely seen better days, and its biggest downfall is the cleanliness; there were cockroaches all over. I'm not sure how it was rated as four stars to begin with, but I hoped for at least a clean room.

    I have had rated this hotel not only on my behalf. because i stayed long time in lobby sitting and monitoring how the staff are dealing with all kind of people. I have visited more than 100 five and four star hotel all my life. But really like these help-full and caring staff i have never seen even in big hotel of five Stars (without showing names) . Furthermore, I been at same some of problem on Five star hotel but even if they got what you want but after your soul dead, but in this hotel quickly they are responding and caring. I really thanks the Staff and how they are trained well because if these staff put on five star hotel that would be A seven star . Specially thanks to Nawras, for her passion to help.     I recently stayed at Grand Excelsior Deira, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The issues I encountered during my stay were disappointing and left a negative impression. Firstly, the customer service provided by the receptionist, Kushal, was subpar. His behavior was unprofessional and left a lot to be desired. I expected a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but his attitude made me feel unwelcome. Moreover, the loud noise from the night club disturbed my night's sleep and made it impossible to relax after a tiring day. A peaceful and restful stay is crucial for any hotel, but this aspect was sorely lacking. I believe that a hotel's success is built on customer satisfaction and comfort, and I regret to say that Grand Excelsior Deira fell short in these aspects during my visit. While I understand that no place is perfect, I hope that management takes my feedback constructively and works towards improving their services. As a guest, I expected better, and I hope future visitors have a more pleasant experience.

    Very bad experience, the service is slow. For check-in we took us 1 hour to get the room key. The rooms are not clean, corridor smells cigarette, we even saw one guy smoking while he’s in the corridor. The parking basement is dirty and very shallow. We ended up going home instead of staying in the hotel. We just wanted to have a relaxing time after our baby’s first birthday party but the hotel is not accommodating. Overall, I will not recommend this hotel for families

    I did not like the receptionist on the evening shift when I was trying to check in. I was standing there but they were busy trying to make small talk with the supervisor who was at a distance. Besides this, the room was in my name but the way she was asking and even handling my documents really shows poor customer service. Finally after the check in I asked which way to the lift and she just pointed with with her head in a dismissive manner. The hotel is okay, location is at a busy part of the city which means you can do lots of other things. It has access to public transport, shopping malls restaurants and also close proximity to the airport.

    It's located in the centre of the city...a bit busy but they offer a efficient valet parking service. The general feel of the hotel is classic and elegant with an old fashioned look. It is beautiful to say the least. However our room had a funny smell, more like a smoke smell even though we specifically chose a non smoking room. When we complained they said it will go away its coming from the vents of the AC. This wasn't right. In addition, the AC was pretty old..if you put it on high it made a funny sound. Also they need to spruce up the swimming pool area, after goung up there we decided not to even go swimming. It didnt look welcoming and the chairs were dirty. Other than that everything was medium okay. The guy at the reception who plans the cruises was super nice though. I would recommend to go for the boat cruise package where they pick u up from the hotel and drop you back.

    Average hotel. It is ok, considering that the price is low. Area is good with nearby restaurants and grocery stores. location is convenient for travel. Reception staff were polite. We had requested for early check in @ 1PM via call beforehand and they agreed, we reached there at 1:10PM and got the room at 2:20 PM. It has a very old look to the room. The furnitures were really old not at all maintained. Poor cleanliness in the room. Fridge was unclean and water was dripping. Had a water logging issue in the sink, upon arrival. Called guest services many times, very late service, we needed something on day 1, finally received it on day 2, after calling a lot of times.

    We've stayed here twice already and the service they gave us has been consistently great. Staff are polite and cheerful. If you have requests, they will try their best to grant what you asked for. We had access to the pool and we were treated hospitably by the lifeguards on duty. You can order food and drinks while enjoying a dip in the pool. One of the things we loved in this hotel is the breakfast buffet( I uploaded some pictures of The terrace where the breakfast is served). You can always enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. They have a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of your favourite coffee. I always ordered a cappuccino, my husband ordered double espresso. Sarah, one of the staff, was always cheerful to assist us with our needs at the restaurant and cafe. The receptionists were also very patient, polite and helpful. Btw, they also have bars and lounges where you can enjoy alcoholic drinks. We will surely come back here. Keep it up GEHD!β™₯️much love.

    Staying in room no. 243, first of all toom key is not working we have to call the reception from other room to send sm1 to open the room it has been a day but they do not bother to change the room. In room no proper lights one lamp is broken, they offered separate beds, there is smokey smell in non smoking room, handshower is broken. Rooms have no soudproofing every1 can hear your chitchats outside the room and you can hear every shouting outside. Reception is also not responsive enough. Don't book hotel going by the fancy name and considering sheraton in the name. Poorly maintained hotel i guess Sheraton has completed lease period of 99 years and handed over the remains to new management who is unable to maintain the remains. Only good thing is breakfast of the hotel. So don't waste your money book some Decent hotel with good rooms and service.

    Worthless room service. We checked in yesterday to this old hotel after a long and warm journey. We were looking forward to take a shower, but found out that towels were missing in the bath room. We called the housekeeping and room service a numerous of times, and nothing happened. Finally l went down to the reception very upset and complained. After a couple of hours we received the towels. The same thing happened with the safety box, which was missing in our room. Today again we found out that there are no towels in the bathroom. I have contacted the reception 4 times during the past 4 hours, and we are still waiting....😑😑😑 I can not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! PS. Also the breakfast was very poor. No bread or other basic food was available 30 minutes before the end of their breakfast time!

    Staff has been friendly. Breakfast nice but its an old Hotel that needs upgrading and rooms are not very clean. Location nice and central. Hotel is expensive and should for now only be rated 2 stars. Club at the top.. very noisy.

    Very poor experience. I booked the room 331 days before but the service I received was the worst. The receptionist, Kushal, kept lying that they couldn't see my reservation and made me wait for an hour. Later when I contacted the company they said my registration was already done but Kushal kept denying it. The service was very poor that I had to ask every time for clean up. Necessities like toothbrushes, towels everything was given only after asking. Overall a bad experience.

    Since i came here from 3 days.     One of the worst hotel I have stayed in my life. The service is really poor you call reception for anything and service doesn’t come. No towels etc in the room , for everything you have to remind them multiple times. This is the way to manage the hotel and guest experience don’t deserve to be even single star to this hotel. Don’t ever book it if you are planning to stay here.

    Quiet spacious rooms - However a bit old and bathrooms needed to be better. Location vise is good & there are nice spots for shopping in the nearby location including the Lulu Mall at the opposite side. All the corridors & rooms r maintained neat & clean.

    Well based on my experience it was just ok. Swimming trimmings are from 9am to 6pm(what I was told). Our room's socket plugs were not working. I told the operator and the repairer came after 1 and hour or maybe two hours. The bathroom's shower was not working and I think this much will be enough for anyone who wants to book room.

    In case you want to know when I wrote this review it's 7th Nov 2023. I made the biggest mistake of my life by coming to this hotel. ARE YOU coming to Dubai for Fun? Please DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. Remember this hotel may look pleasing to you or prices but trust me, you will regret after coming to this hotel. Bad no pathetic 😞 Food, unprofessional staff, poor call services. While I'm writing this review, this is also electricity issue with this hotel. And you cannot complain you cannot do anything. If you think you will enjoy your stay, you are making biggest mistake of your life. Please spend little more extra money but live peacefull. Rest guys I leave decision to your understanding. THANKS πŸ™ All these people writing before or after me I understand your pain.

    Once it was sheraton now grand Excelsior Yes it's 5* to 4* Hope u got it right what I mean. One of the budget 2-3* grade hotel Prime location for all access very easy. Club with Prostituion roaming all over hotel, street. You can't even sleep in the room from 8pm to 3am midnight. Breakfast wide spread though but not on our side. Consider your hotel guest As you have indian footfall at max Service staff was excellent. Room is utterworst with stinky carpets, you need to call on a non working non lined proper phone to housekeeping From soap, towel, water etc. Can't able to write entire story of this hotel. Overall if it's family won't suggest. Surprised to see director of sales will speak more than a gm when it comes to check in process.

    The check-in process was nothing short of a nightmare. The staff seemed disorganized and untrained, leaving me waiting for an absurd amount of time. The lack of communication and efficiency made the whole experience incredibly frustrating. I expected much more from a supposedly reputable hotel. Despite them making me wait past one hour from my check in time. They didn't have the basic courtesy to offer a glass of water when I asked, I was told they cannot offer water until after check in procedure is done. Which was delayed from their end. Consider looking elsewhere if you value your time and sanity.

    My experience here on arrival of the hotel was marred by an inexcusable delay in room allotment. Despite arriving on time for check-in, I found myself waiting for 1 hour 45 mins with no explanation or updates from the staff. The frustration and inconvenience caused by this unacceptable delay overshadowed any positive aspects of the hotel. A basic expectation like timely room allocation should not be overlooked. Disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall experience.

    Worst check in experience( Had to wait for 1 hour to get 1 room out of the two we booked). Lobby is full of people sleeping on the couches post their check-in time. Very rude front office staff ( one miss Aleena), doesn't have the basic quality to speak with customers politely. Makes guests feel unwelcome with her behaviour.

    Live review still staying here. I have booked for 4 nights and regret after staying as since the minute we arrived there was no help at all. The bell boy didn't bother to help with luggage ( I had 6+bags &2kids) nor help with parking for the car. At check in, had to wait looking time before I was attended. After check in, Next day, there was NO HOUSEKEEPING done while we were out, despite NOT having put a do not disturb sign, Nor was it done on the second day, which is supposed to be a by- default housekeeping to be done unless told by guest not to do. On second day I called hotel before arriving back at hotel to get housekeeping done, it was done just for namesake.( No vacuum done, no towels changed ) and THE WERE COCKROACH in the room. Called reception twice, went to reception physically, BUT NO HELP. Does one expect to find cockroach in a 4 star property ?? Is it too much you expect proper housekeeping and attentive service at a 4 star hotel ,? I need a refund or upgradation right away at I'm currently staying at the said hotel in Dubai Deira . I spoke with the hotel manager staff and NOTHING WAS DONE. Stil living in dirty room and no one came you remove the cockroach nor Change our rooms. There is some live music noise as well going on right now at 1.15 am. They are highly understaffed and not really willing to help . Breakfast is okay. First day tea was warm. Not even hot. Second breakfast was okay. DON'T WASTE YOUR hard earned MONEY. Utterly dissatisfied.

    Since the moment you step in, everyone will greet you warmly. Hotel is well connected with transport, area is full of supermarkets and restaurants, and minutes away from the airport. Booked an Executive Suite and the room was huge! Would definitely recommend to go for a half board, since meals were delicious. Breakfast is buffet (served by the chef) and quality of food is top notch. A la carte dinner was fantastic, so much food that I couldn’t even finish! You won’t leave hungry. Plus, the hostess during dinner is such a genuine lovely person!! Same with the front office team. Hopefully we’ll go back soon for another staycation!!!

    I was tight on budget and did not want to book a large ballroom for my business event. I loved the behavior of the manager at Grand Excelsior Hotel, Deira. He understood my requirements and recommended the plush seminar room. Thank you so much! It was equipped with all the facilities and was also within my budget. Will definitely love to come back in the future.

    The room needs upgrades, lots of gnats, the smell in the rooms and halls is of mildew&smoke, got in our clothes, fridge was dirty, closet was broken, but lobby and restaurant was very nice and Breakfast was good. We left after 1 night

    Qualit good service from a professional staff, from the first minute that we arrived in the reception . And until the last minute when they delivered the bag to the taxi, I had always contact in this hotel with a friendly and professional staff. But bad thing is the foto of the room is not like the reality . We made a reservation for Business Suite and the room was normal, not Suite and when we talk to the reception to ask why the room is not like the foto, they say that the foto is executive suite and they shall change it.! For me It's not correct behaviour. My room was clean " and in this time" it's the most important thing for me and for everyone

    Hotel-Staff was very friendly, however its an outdated hotel. Water doesnt get hot enough, could only take a bath because the shower didnt work. Loud music on the first night due to the night club.

    I am giving 4 starts just because of the availability and courtesy of the personnel. Very kind people, especially the valet for parking. Very fast in providing extras, example adapter for charging, ironing board... Unfortunately this hotel is quite dirty and the rooms and corridors smell like cigarette smoke. The price is very good for the room you get though. The swimming pool on the roof is enjoyable, although they shut down the bar built around it. Position is comfortable because it is close to the airport.

    My check in was quick and effortless, the staff was very friendly! But... When I opened my suite door, there was a awful moldy smell. The room is out of date and not well maintained (Broken coffee table legs, furniture not well looked after, The fridge/ freezer was over frozen!! 2 Cockroaches In the bathroom that went back into the Bidet toilet They gave me a new room key... As I approached the new room it was open?!?, with the same moldy smell... AGAIN!! there was 1 cockroach in the bathroom that I killed and took to the front desk for evidence. The night club is very noisy in the suites! (4th Floor!)

    Booked via Day use for a room after a night flight. Arrived to find the hotel had no record of our booking. Reception were wonderful and got us checked in and into a lovely comfortable room within a few minutes. Excellent service gratefully received. I won't use Day use again but would stay at the hotel again. 15 mins from DXB.

    Worst experience. Rooms were so dark no illumination plus having lot of small insects. Continuous club music sound was coming at Room no.413 till 4 am in the morning. No breakfast for vegetarian people. I had booking for 7 nights, somehow I spent 7 nights. Staff is also not that kuch skilled or friendly. I think in deira are are having plenty of better options in same price. So please choose wisely. I have selected this hotel based on review but personally it is not at all 4star hotel actually it would hardly fall in 3 star hotel category. I would recommend Avani hotel in Deira, it is far better than Grand Excelsior.

    CAUTION: STAY AWAY!! This is the only experience where I wished I could give a negative star rating to protect my fellow travelers. I honestly don't know where to begin. The hotel is dumpster dirty! I booked for 3 adults and were given two single beds (we had to camp out). What about cleanliness you may ask!! Yes you have roaches, animals, bacteria, it's a comprehensive ecological system. The smell is interesting! Awful but yet interesting. Lamps were broken, some were dangling with a thread. It felt like a good horror movie set experience. To summarize, I wouldn't stay there again even if I get paid to do so.

    One of my great experiences i had in Dubai was especially this hotel's great network with local transportation and friendly staff but there are few non mentioned taxes such as traveller tax which I paid will stay and gym equipment is not well maintained... Food was great, especially breakfast and the ambiance of the hotel was fabulous... TBH there is a club on the roof top and it makes plenty of notice at night so it's on you...

    I stayed here from 28th Oct to 1st Nov, this hotel management is very poor I can say. Rooms are not properly allotted , Already occupied rooms were giving for some people, some cockroaches on the bed, when on the shower the tap also running and they could not able repair it,the other end lift was not working and it was in maintenance all the day , we need to go long walk to get the lift at the other side,breakfast was good, no proper electric plugs for charging the mobile phones , initial room allocation for 40 people they took around 1 hour because of no preplan, no tooth paste in bath room, no comb, no Indian regional channels in TV, all I can say it was an below average stay.

    Everything is perfect, the staff the room and the place where the hotel is located. But the only problem is the delay in service. The ambience is great here. The staff is very loyal , and the manager mr arun is very close to each and everycustomer coming there and treat in a very good manner and solver the issues.

    During our 5-day stay, we faced concerning issues with cleanliness. Despite our multiple requests, the bathtub remained uncleaned throughout the visit. There was a noticeable spill on the walls that also went unaddressed. Additionally, it took us a span of three days to acquire a kettle for our room, which was an unexpectedly lengthy process.

    I recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Excelsior in Deira, Dubai for four days, and overall, I had a good experience. While the rooms could use a bit of upkeep due to some broken fittings in the bathroom, everything else about the hotel was quite satisfactory. The complimentary breakfast offered a great selection, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Convenient access to public transport, such as taxis, and the presence of supermarkets and good restaurants nearby added to the hotel's appeal.
