    I was invited to sketch bar by girl to watch Morocco vs Croatia match. she was staying there. when I reached there she was already drinking wine. I ordered few beers and salad. Girl asked me to call for bill while she comes from washroom. Bill came of 3350 AED. can u just believe it. girl was not to be seen anywhere. i just had 2700 AED so I paid. i called girl on phone and begged her. she called hotel and got balance payment waived off. i asked hotel staff for girl details and where she had gone. but no1 shared with me. if they did would have spoken to her and got her to pay her bill. hotel staff were on this with her together. so instead of paying 200 AED for beer and salad i got looted for 2500 AED. how unethical and unprofessional of hotel and its staff. i am so embarrassed and shamed even to share this. but this needs to come out in open.

    Managers don’t have any idea about hospitality. Not allowing guest to visit visitors who is staying in hotel. If there is staff in lift by chance when you are going to your room, they are investigating by in directly asking questions to make sure you have room here. There are lot of other better options available in near by area. Never ever recommend to anyone nor will revisit this hotel

    I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this hotel... I’ve seen a guest asking for help at the reception area , she almost approached all the staff there but never entertained her at all and never gave attention to her even just for a second! They just informed her that everyone is busy, they don’t have time to help as of this time and they were just passing by at her! That’s totally disgraceful and excruciatingly painful to watch!!!! No matter how beautiful the interior of the hotel is, if there’s no good customer service at all ... It affects the ambience and atmosphere of the place! They don’t deserve a 5 star rating at all! A proper professional training is indeed a MUST!!!!

    The most awkward hotel I have ever been at. Firstly, they could not find my reservation, then could not process early check in (I was requesting it with my booking due to early flight. People are resting all around the lobby. Ordered breakfast and it tasted horrible. Would never ever recommend this hotel for staying. I wish I could cancel my reservation. Manager did not provide the ability to leave the feedback.

I would like to announce a few points as a friend of your collection: - There were no tea makers, spoons and plates in the rooms (I know this is done due to the observance of hygienic protocols).     Please fix your cabinet sliding door at 901 it is so hard to move and open. Upgrading your television to the latest smart TV would add more value. But we had a good rest for 3 days and 2 nights. Thank you!

    I have a wonderful experience with Carlton Palace Hotel. Our wedding was held in their spacious function room for which I have great feedback from our guests about the ambiance of the venue. As a couple, that is one thing that we need to make sure that our guests are taken cared of and to our amazement, the hotel did not fail to meet our expectations. I am grateful to Ms. Jean who had assisted my wife since from the planning until the wedding day. I saw Ms. Jean in the entire event making sure that everything should be perfect. I hope my appreciation post will reach to Ms. Jean as she did a great job for our meaningful and memorable event (not only us but as well as to our guests approx. 100 happy people). Not to mention the food they have served, all courses were sumptuous! Great Job! We took 2 rooms for 2 nights during our wedding and we are so grateful also to Ms. Fatima who had assisted us with the reservation. In fact, to our surprise, we receive an upgrade of our room which added value on how the staff of Carlton Palace took care of us. In fact also, we forgot some items such as keyboard stand, reflector and some other stuff but when we contact the concierge, the items were ready to be picked up by us. Indeed, we are fully satisfied with the service or Carlton Palace Hotel!

    I had one night stay on your hotel on 22/01/2022 with my family. The experience what I got from your Hotel was very bad and pathetic. This hotel is not recommended to anyone at all. The staff are not professional and they are very rude and bad. I had a very bad incident at Swimming pool reception. I went there initially with my family the lady in reception (I think she is a Filipina) she informed me it’s closed due to renovation which was a lie. I went back to my room and called the reception and asked about the same. The guy who picked my call informed me its open it’s not closed. You can go and I went up and informed the reception lady why you lied to me it’s not closed as per the main reception it was open. Then the lady stated to shout to me very bad and treated me very badly as no one get supposed to get treated. She told me I am not the one paying her salary so no need to answer me (which is a very bad things an employee talk to a customer) secondly she open the lift ask me get out from there( how an employee can talk to customer like this). She was keep provoking me to say something to her I asked to behave. She was not bothered to listen. I made a complaint against her they did not take any action and not even an apology from the staff. I informed the one guy in the reception I need to talk to your manager he said fine but manager never show up and talk to me. The reception guy informed me she is not our staff. If she is not your staff then why she is working in our hotel and allowing her to behave like this to your customers? I won’t satisfy as a customer until you take an action against her and show me proof of that. I won’t let any of my friends or family to visit your any hotel. You have to teach you employees how to behave and treat the customer. I hope someone will look in to this and will do the needful

    We would like to recommend this place for big events such as birthdays, parties and wedding. The ballroom is big and beautiful. We had our wedding yesterday and the place is gorgeous, the food was amazing and the guests were served well. I commend Jean for all her help from beginning to end of the event. She made sure that our wedding will be a successful. All our request were taken into consideration. Thank you ate jean!

    Very disappointed in what we were greeted with compared to what we saw on line. To me it was a gross misrepresentation of the hotel as it currently exists. Food and beverage people were excellent, other than that group, very few smiles or welcoming gestures. Based on extensive travel experience in North America, SE Asia, Europe and most recently UAE this hotel does not even come close to any for which we have paid similar per night ratesVery questionable 5* rating?? Also question the validity of the number of positive comments we read online. I am so sorry but just not at all what we had hoped for or expected for the amount we paid.

    Disappointed ! NOT giving 5 stars hotel services ! Me & my wife arrived by taxi by lunch in a very hot day. We had 4 pcs. Of heavy luggage. No bellboy in front of hotel or inside front door to help us ! Plus 4 stairs to climb to entrance door ! My wife started to carry a heavy luggage on 4 stairs ! I went in and saw a bellboy 10 meters away behind reception. I asked immediately to go out and assist with luggage. It's impossible from reception that is in offside 10 meters from entrance door to view coming guests ! Do guests have to carry own luggage because there's No Bellboy in entrance ? I suggest immediately to change position of bellboy to be inside ( Air conditioning) behind the glass entrance door to view coming guests and help with luggage ! NOT for my wife to carry luggage 4 stairs up ! Weak Air-conditioned ! Almost Unfelt ! Lobby has poor air conditioning. So did my room. And another room. No option to cool it more. Upon arrival= the safe in my room did NOT work ! I called maintenance. Maintenance man came and changed battery. But still did NOT work ! I had to change Room with a working safe, that meant repacking our luggage after we unpacked. Quite an harassment in first hour. Hotel description says " minibar " In Room..... we found an empty fridge.... NOT a single soft drink... They should change description from minibar to " empty fridge " NOT minibar...... Middle of the night we wanted to drink coffee and water at the same time . No teaspoon to stir coffee ! NOT even a plastic stir or wooden stir..... Nothing ! We used our finger to stir sugar in coffee. We wanted to drink water the same time. No glasses ! We had to finish coffee, wash our cups, and drink water.... In morning I asked reception for teaspoon and glases. After 2 hours that Nothing happened= I asked maid for glasses and teaspoon. We got a wooden stir. It's ok. But No glasses. After 5 hours of waiting I asked same maid again, and she brought glasses..... Service is very slow. We didn't know how to switch of lights above our bed. We called reception. After 10 minutes of waiting we called again reception. After additional 10 minutes that Nobody came= we called again reception. So ONLY 25 minutes from first call= came maintenance man and showed us an hidden button to switch off electricity and go to sleep..... Reservation is slow also. On day of reservation= I wanted to check one hour earlier, but denied. That's ok. But= we wanted to come earlier just to put our luggage in storage room, and wait in lobby.....but have NOT received a positive response..... All above= this is NOT 5 stars service...... Maybe it was 5 stars in the past...but NOT nowadays..... I do NOT recommend this hotel ! NOT recommended ! And I give only 3 stars.... They don't deserve more.... 20 September 2023

    Extremely rude reception staff and manager. Old rooms and pathetic service. I don't recommend anyone to stay here. I am not sure how this hotel gets 5 star rating. It should be given a minus star. Tourists be warned. Keep away from this hotel.

    That basement parking is a big let down, you can't rest properly if people keep on honking their horns so that someone would open the barrier... And those guests who honks their horn continuously, may Allah curse you and your family... But it's a great place to stay.

    3 times already we stayed here at Carlton Palace Hotel, everything was fine and no issues at all, especially during our last stay, for 3days and 2 night (UAE National Day), in which Ms. Fatima assisted us great. And when i requested to extend for another night and day, it was Mr. Firaz who helped me and the Filipina Kabayan, i commend all of them. Did another booking this Dec. 24-25, this will be our 4th time to stay.

    I had a mostly positive experience at this hotel. Joe at reception was exceptional, providing a kind and positive service. The swimming pool was enjoyable, but the pool bar lacked activity and there were few people around during swimming hours. Comfort and sleep were compromised by loud noise from the restaurants on the M level. Additionally, the lobby at night had a noticeable alcohol smell due to families present. While my overall experience was good, there are areas that need improvement, such as enhancing the pool bar atmosphere, reducing noise disruptions, and ensuring a more pleasant lobby ambiance.

    My favorite place to stay is in Dubai. Excellent customer service, good size rooms. the morning buffet is marvelous. I am using this hotel for the last 12 years. Only have one suggestion light in the room is too low which makes it depressing. Put at least a couple of lamps with bright light. Previously maid use to come in after noon to re-clean (makeup room), but now it is only once a day.

    We stay at the hotel 3nights for our wedding celebration and it was amazing. All the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. All our requests were granted. We also celebrate our wedding reception on their ballroom and it was spectacular. The foods if i will rate 1 to 10, i will give 100 instead. ❤ Special thanks to Ms. JEAN, super kind, professional, accommodating and she supported us with all our needs. To Fatima at the reception, thank you too. You are excellent in customer service, the way you handle your guest. We never had a hard time to check in and out. All went well.     It's a nice hotel but we had issues with our booking through Agoda. When we reached after midnight the receptionist told us we didn't have a room booked with them. After showing him the emails we had, we got a room after waiting for 30 mins but were asked to put an upfront security deposit of 150$. Next day in the morning we are informed that breakfast is not included.. we showed them the emails we got stating it's included in the package we booked but they blamed us for the last minute booking and that their system is not updated to show the current status of our booking. Mind you we had booked 2-3 weeks in advance. But the staff were good enough to let us eat at the hotel and said they will sort it out when their booking office opens later in the day

    The staff is kind and available, but unfortunately not trained enough for a 5-stars hotel. The rooms are quite old (tapestry off, curtains old, etc.) and the bathroom is terrible (loose tiles glued with silicone, chipped bathtube, dirt in the corners of tiles and shower, glass shower mopped). I asked to change my first room, but my second room wasn't so better. Although the staff is kind and available, they do not know what a 5-star hotel should offer. Minibar was not filled everyday, the bed was not made every day (I'm not talking about changing the sheets, but at least "to make the bed"). If you use the laundry, they will not give you back your clothes in time. I had to ask for them, after 1 day and a half waiting. And it happened twice. No way to have omelettes before 8.00AM in the morning... because the chef is not there until that time.

    We paid fast but service was weak..most of the request are not allowed. Our Buffet closed early and never ask our permission. We complaint then we received a call next day after we gave feedback .saying sorry and offering me some complimentary offers and its just another disappointment that after we agreed with you, the reply is they need to check first and will get back to me.And after 2weeks nothing happen. Better not to offer anything. I tried to give chance by accepting your offer so atleast the negative experience we had will be change to positive because we paid our big event and we expected that it will be good service. but its just leave us an unprofessional and bad experience .

    The Carlton Palace was once a very grand hotel but is showing signs of wear and tear. Discoloured marble, peeling wallpaper, faulty washbasin plug and towels that have seen better days. We stayed for two nights and it was satisfactory but nothing more.

    Old smelly rooms with mould painted-over, very humid, no fresh air. Staff were very kind by showing me a few alternative rooms - all over-sprayed trying to cover the smell which made me struggle with breathing. We had no choice but to go out all day, returning only for the night. Super-old everything inside - it definitely needs a major refurb! Not to mention the bathroom... Sorry - but it clearly below the actual standards for 5* hotels!

    4 Times over 2 days to report about non working minibar, and no one responded! Staying 6 nights, poor Internet connection and not stable at all, I cannot complete any work here. Next days will be nightmare for me, that’s why I’m reviewing this hotel right now. We have reported the issue. Tech guy came and told us that he will restart the access point, I am a tech expert, if restart didn’t work! Then you have a problem must be solved. But same issue here. It seems that nobody care here. I cannot even publish this review over their internet :)

    I recently stayed at Carlton Palace, which prides itself on being one of the more affordable 5-star options in Dubai. However, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. Positively, the cost was indeed lower compared to other luxury accommodations in the area. This could make it a viable option for those seeking a 5-star experience on a budget. On the downside, I noticed a peculiar odor in the rooms, which felt a bit dated in terms of decor and amenities. This aspect could definitely use some attention to elevate the guest experience to true 5-star standards. Another point of concern was the pool area. Unfortunately, it was under cleaning maintenance throughout my stay, which meant I couldn't enjoy this facility. Regular upkeep is essential, but it would be beneficial for guests if this could be managed in a way that minimizes disruption. Interaction with the hotel staff, particularly the cleaning crew, was challenging. I found myself having to make extra efforts to ensure my room was cleaned to a satisfactory standard. A more streamlined and guest-focused approach from the housekeeping team would greatly enhance the overall experience. Lastly, the reception area often seemed to be a hub of guest complaints, which suggests there might be broader issues that need addressing to ensure guest satisfaction. In summary, while the hotel offers the allure of affordable luxury, there are areas that need improvement. I hope my feedback contributes to enhancing future guests' experiences.

    Whilst the foyer area is lovely, the rooms are in dire need of maintenance. Our first room stunk of cigarette smoke (non-smoking room) and had no hot water. I mentioned this to reception staff at 10am. When I returned that evening at 10pm they didn’t know anything about it. I was very tired, wanted a hot shower & asked if we could have access to another shower for 30 mins. They made us change rooms at 10:30pm. The second room’s TV & Do Not Disturb feature was not working (a staff member entered our room as the light wasn’t showing DND). Both rooms were very outdated & needed a good clean.

    This is my 2nd stay of the year at Carlton but currently the name of the hotel has been changed. Easy access to the metro,bus station. Love the room as well,had issues with the hair dryer technician came and repair it immediately. Will make sure to visit on 2024

    This hotel was not too far from the AirPort which is certainly convenient for ease of access when needed. Its also within walking distance to some restaurants that are not too far up & around the corner, was near the clock tower, & was not far from the AL Riga Metro Station which is great for reaching city centre locations & attractions. The room i had was v comfortable clean & luxury. The lobby has the feel of grand classic opulence. I would definitely stay here again. And i would recommend anyone coming to Dubai to Optn for Carton Palace Dubai.

    I booked for 3 night from the 17th November. As it rain in the morning the front entrance is flooded no access to wake out, upon checking I was given Room 306 cockroach in the bathroom. Saturday night the room was like in a disco. So the manager should advert that there’s a discotheque in the hotel. Have to complain then they move me to another room. Internet start working the night before I was leaving 😡😡😡

    Pathetic customer service. I booked two nights through a third party site, fully paid and I called the reception and the staff confirmed my booking and full paid. However upon reaching the hotel at 06pm, the staff says there is no booking under my name and the booking is cancelled. He made me sit in the lobby for 45mts and for 30mts or more he went to the washroom, and I was made sitting. Honestly, this is not the service I expected from any hotel. I doubt the quality and professionalism of the staff at the reception and reservation. Finally got my room after 45mts and the room has a weird smell, like old room or some sort of bad smell. Anyways won't book here again

    Worst ever stay, they just ignore you. My bathroom flooded for 3 days, before I finally got to change the room. Tv and fridge don't work either. They r so busy, but not reinvesting at all. You will get 1 towel period. No floor towel, nor hand towel.

    Beware!!! Never book this hotel through Agoda, booking.com and other third party sites. Your booking will be accepted but your special requests like for airport transfer and other special arrangement will not be answered. On contacting the hotel directly you will get the response: "We are not supposed to provide details contact your agent." On raising this behavior to Dubai tourism department, the hotel representative replied that they escape to provide the booking details done by third party websites because they fails to align on the booking make by such third party website and cannot clarify on the cancellation policy. Such response does not make sense if they fails to align for bookings made by such third party websites, why they accepts the bookings from such platform at the first place and dont bother to reply on the special requests. Find the exact illogical response below to the Dubai Tourism department by the Hotel Representative: "Dear Ms. Amina, I have investigated into the complaint mentioned below and our clarity is as follows; For bookings made thru a third party the confirmation number cannot be given by us as this can be only given by the third party who is collecting the payment. As we are not receiving the payment directly we cannot be sure if the booking is confirmed or not. There have been earlier instances where we had confirmed, but then the bookings were cancelled later by the third party as they did not receive the payment and the guest then arrived at the Hotel claiming the confirmation. Due to the confusion which may arise due to this, the guest is always advised to get the confirmation details from the agency /third party they have booked through.     The stay was really good , from reception till check in on to the room, after booking only I've seen all the negative reviews, and was little worried, how things would go. Though I've booked via make my trip and there were no refunds. But I was so relaxed and enjoyed the stay, even their room service was good, neat and clear rooms. Review is based on my one night stay.

    I was so amazed the ambiance of the place, this is so simple to overview in the outside of the hotel but when you go inside you can see immediately how the furniture and decorations are arranged by its category. I like it very much and its so good to see around together the people in the Hotel, they are so accommodating and very professional in the way of handling client or guest. This is the best place for gatherings and celebrating an events for a huge group of people. I am looking forward to come and stay for a moment of memorable event of the year.     I made the booking for the Carlton downtown and the app Hotel Tonight. Unfortunately by accident it looked me in the Carlton palace which was not the same hotel as my colleagues. Shiyam, the manager handled the situation with incredible professionalism and kindness. He’s fine gentlemen making a stressful situation very relaxed. Thank you Shiyam sir.

    Excellent location and facility with old world charm and decor. One of the oldest hotels with its royal feel. Very close to the airport and creek, metro station within walking distance. The only thing I feel requires improvement is the food. And it really needs to increase in quality. Half cooked meat is not what you expect from a 5 star, I got it 2 days in a row.

    There was a mishap with the other booked room which it was still occupied by the current guest. The lady in the concierge wasn't that much friendly and was in hurry. However they were able to fix the issue right away and gave us nicer room. Also one of the staff in the pool area closed the lift who i think was also in a hurry and hit one of my twin girls with the door. No apologies ever given.     I would like to take this opportunity to thank this hotel for our very comfortable stay. I booked 2 rooms for 3days 2nights as we used their ballroom for our wedding venue. The rooms are very clean, good tv reception, nice sheets and relaxing ambiance. With regards to the Al Hamra Ballroom-the venue for our wedding reception, it has a huge space, it has a charm perfect for princess like theme, very reliable staff in the banquet most esp miss Jean(banquet manager). She is very hands on and approachable. 100% im very happy. Thank you so much Carlton Palace Hotel.

    Good location, quiet and clean room, nice staff. Was little worried reading horrible reviews from other customers, but none of them were true. Would highly recommend.

    The hotel is clean , but the room doesn’t have anything you have to call and ask for every single thing such as slippers dental kit that should be inside the room, the room is small not big enough as the website said. The breakfast buffet was not good it’s not 5 star hotel indeed

    Room is nice and clean. Hotel is beautiful. We requested Breakfast to be added when we checked in. Unfortunately, the front desk didn't notify the cafeteria and we were refused to proceed until we asked the front desk to confirm! The front desk should provide their cafeteria all guest names plus room. Cafeteria receptionist should also verify this information from the front desk and not ask the guest to re- verify it for her. I find this unethical and very poor customer service.

    Nice stay And Enjoyed a lot. Hotel was opened in 1997 but now its nicely maintained with a graceful look.👍👍👍

    Location is perfect, not far from Airport and next to Bur Dubai and Deira. Rooms are clean, and washroom are doable. It would have been better if ylthey have included some more toiletries. But at the price, you can't complain. 24 hours restaurant are at the walking distance and so are the 24hr stores.

    Highly recommended hotel to stay and gather an event from the reception team who welcome us warmly and providing a good room. Thank you so much for F&B team especially Mr.Pawan for his superb effort to accomodate and arrange for my reception . We’re so satisfied with all the foods and staff.     Place is excellent to stay but little far from Metro n cafes. 500Mtr is negligible if not in Sunmers. Manger was kind enough to upgrade the stay and will return back soon
