The Grand Masjid Bur Dubai located between the textile souk and the Dubai Museum close to a small stream in the Bur Dubai area. Originally built in 1900, demolished and built again in 1960, it then underwent a further rebuilding in 1998 ...

A must visit! You feel so spiritually connected. The architecture is beautiful and the mosque is very big and spacious. You do have to take off your shoes and socks and please wash your feet as it respectful and custom. Overall this was a great experience.

Beautiful indoor mosque, we had booked our free tour with a wonderful guide who has told us so much about Islam and the beautiful lessons it teaches. It was a very nice and welcoming experience. They also offer abayas for the ladies to wear if you do not have one

Bur Dubai Grand Mosque, also known as Grand Bur Dubai Masjid, is one of the most iconic places of worship in Dubai. Located in theΒ heritage area, the mosque has a capacity for 1,200 worshippers. It also has the tallest minaret in Dubai, measuring 70 metres (230ft) and resembling a lighthouse. The building has a rich history and was once a school, or β€˜kuttab’, devoted to the study of the Quran. The first students attended in the year 1900 and memorised the Quran by heart. In 1960, a new mosque was built and was again rebuilt in 1998, designed to replicate the original architecture.

This mosque is near the creek. I prayed zuhr here which was at 12:35pm. It is on the road. The bus stop Dubai Museum is just besides Mosque entrance. I took F70 Bus from Burjuman Bus Stop.

Biggest masjid in Bur Dubai, capable of containing thousands of people at a time. It is situated nearby Dubai old museum and also known as "Museum Masjid". Contains large spaces for ablution , provides washroom facilities and great ambience for prayer. The style of architecture is the next big thing to watch. Even the people who visit the nearest temple used to take rest in front of the mosque.

Namaz. Namaz is the essence of the day. What Allah says is a means of praying or bowing before Him. And Namaz reminds us 5 times that we are His servants. He is the one who provides us with sustenance and we confess this matter.

The outside of the grand meshid in Bur Dubai is maybe modest, and the corridor of the meshid doesn't promise much more, either. But when you enter the main hall of the mosque you step into an another world.

It was good but timings are limited and the mosque is not open 24/7 and you cannot have a nap there. It's common in most mosques that you can rest or take a nap. Plus a city like Dubai should have bigger mosques.

A fairly large mosque in the this old sector of Bur Dubai. Right in the heart of the textile market and souq ap kabeer. Clean toilets and abulution facilities available. Better to reach 30 mins early during friday prayers as it tends to get full pretty quickly due to social distancing mesaures.
