Akkalkot Akkalkot is a Holy place of Shri.Swami Samarth Maharaj. It is located at a distance of 38 kms. by road from Solapur District headquarters. This Saint is believed to be the reincarnation of Lord Dattatraya. The Samadhi of this Saint is worshipped by the devotees. The Death Anniversary is celebrated on Chaitra Shuddha Trayodashi every year. Large number of devotees visit the place everyday. The present temple is built around famous banyan tree. This is the same banyan tree sitting under which Shri.Swami Maharaj used to meditate and preach the followers. The temple consists of main temple, sabha mandap and accommodation. Annacchatra (free meals to devotees) is organized daily (two times in day) by temple authorities. The Swami Samarth Maharaj came to Akkalkot at the beginning of Shake 1779. The total period of reincarnation of Swamiji as the fourth Avataar of Shri. Datta is forty years of which he spent 21 years in Akkalkot. From the historic point of view Shri.Swami Maharaj brought to an end his avatar in Shake 1800. But after three months, he resurrected and appeared before the faithful in Kashi (Varanasi). The holy Samadhi of Shri. Swamiji is loacated in the house of shri. Cholappa in the place already reserved for it before his bodily demise. This is known as Samadhimath. The spiritual fearless slogan in marathi β€˜BHIU NAKOS MI TUJHYA PATHISHI AAHE’ (Don’t fear, I am with you) is given by Shri. Samarth Swami Maharaj himself.

Swamy Samarth a great philosophical mentor, divine master, guru and Saint, lived here few centuries back and done years of meditation under a Banyan tree adjacent to which he was cremated after his passed away. This place is worshiped as most holy place and devotees believe strongly that their prayers in front of Swamy Samartha's temple abode will be fulfilled by Swamy's spiritual soul power. The Mandir is fuly renovated now and is still under renovation. You get peace & satisfaction when you visit this place. Temple also offers food to all the devotees free of cost at the annadan center. Devotees can also offer seva at annadan center by doing the rotis or serving food or water. Temple also has ample parking area and a shoe rack outside the temple. A must visit to all Swami samarth devotees. Shree Swami Samarth.

Best holy place to visit on weekdays as weekends are too crowded here. Mahaprasad in Gurumandir is much more tasty and hygienic than Akkalkot Temple that's what I feel, However it depends on everyone's taste buds. Also visited Shaikh Nooruddin Durga which was awesome too.

Akkalkot is is place where shree swami samarth maharaja stay long period of time . It's a oldest temple. Millions of people come here for darshan and stay . Everyone is polite over here . I have hired a auto to visit all the temples around . Many people stay here and pray for longer time . Many hotels and governments stay are available. Quite confusing. Its very difficult to locate the temple. Dont depend on google maps, ask locals for guidance. Must visit with your family and friends. I have added all the photos and video here , which I have visited. Shree swami samarth πŸ™

Shri Swami Samarth!! This review is not about the place, temple or about Swami Samarth Maharaj, but it's about the responsible trust and management. Please note below points and make yourself ready before visiting Akkalkot. - There is no queue system nor any barricades for Darshan rang - People stand in the queue for hours and notice that they have to go through by pushing each other at the entrance - Other holy temples like Shirdi has proper management for darshan and no one can breaks it, but this place is exception - If you're with elders or children then be very very careful because there are high chances of physical enjury - People lose control by staying in queue for long time and keep pushing each others, feels like they're catching Mumbai local train - They release people in bunch so no one stays in queue and everyone makes huge crowd in front of Maharaj - Ultimately no one gets proper view and Darshan - If you're strony enough then you may get Darshan by pushing others, but think about women, girls, children and elders? - This is failure of management or whoever is responsible for this - Please be careful and take care of your family! Shri Swami Samarth! πŸ™

Very divine place of Shri. Swami Samarth Maharaj Akkalkot. Grupournima is a major day when there is huge rush. Mahaprasad is available 500mtrs from the temple location. A garden with greenery is near Swami temple, open from 5.00 am - 9.00 am & 5.00 pm - 5.00 Pm. In New palace you will find Arms Museum Rs. 15 per person and it's very joyful for kids. If you head towards bus stand, you will find A well maintained garden(Small), Swami. Bhakt Balappa Home where Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj taken Samadhi & Also Khandoba Temple where Shri. Swami Samarth Maharaj first appeared in Akkalkot. I am blessed with darshan of Shri. Swami Samarth. If you are travelling along with your kids then plan for a trip in the Month of August - November(Cold Climate). During summer you will feel heatwaves and get disturbed during your journey. Along with this you can travel nearby places like Pandharpur, Tulajapur, Parali Vaijyanath, Ganagapur, Solapur Siddheshwar, Vijaypur etc.

The Best Way is to hear about swami.. Once you get there only way remain is to get feel how that works without doing it... I will recommend every one to visit this place onces for experience the peace under the roof.. Of swami math I highly recommend to visit the math on week days.. ( my visit was on hoildays so i got hug rush) Still make a list and arrange the place you need to visit in aklakot.. It seams that they have limit washroom overall. But still hight recommend to visit this place..

Temple is beautiful. However the crowd is managed very poorly by the Temple Authorities. There is no proper system for managing the queue. Mostly crowded during weekends and Holidays

🌳✨ Discover the Magic of Akkalkoth Swami Mandir ✨🌳 Akkalkoth Swami Mandir is a place that compels you to visit, where destiny leads you. It brings an incredible sense of peace and tranquility. The highlight is the awe-inspiring Vatavriksha tree, creating a unique aura that leaves you mesmerized. 🌳✨ Visiting on off-days ensures a remarkable darshan experience. While the 5 am and 11:30 am aartis were somewhat an experience, they can be skipped. The sevakaris are kind and knowledgeable. One sevakari shared the temple's history and swami's significance, even arranging angara from the inner swami temple. Swami is the divine if you believe with full faith, Jai Swami Samarth! πŸ™β€οΈ
