1. What else can you expect in Sandton but the WoW 👌 factor! 2. The layout of the shops are very interactive thus you can go from shopping 🛍 at one store to very similar shopping in close proximity. 3. I do find that there is not enough information stations available to shoppers and you have to go on asking for assistance from whoever looks like they will help. 4. The restaurants are upper echelon and very friendly and of course the food is great. We went to Tang Asian and as i posted a 5 star 🌟 restaurant. 5. The Nelson Mandela Square with his statue is a must see.

A huge shopping mall in Johannesburg. There are many famous shops and brands, a supermarket and a fast food area. The mall opens from nine in the morning until seven in the evening, except for Sunday, which closes at six in the evening, and on Friday and Saturday at eight in the evening. Sandton city is always buzzing, it’s your one stop mall, you can find anything and everything, from clothing to furniture to fine dinning at the square where you can see the Nelson Mandela statue and shoppers passing by. Well, I don't know what to say about this experience. All I know is if you don't have cash to spend. Don't bother lol. Overall, it's a cool place to walk around and 'sight' see. Will definitely frequent when I move to Sandton.

This is the best shopping centre ever! It's perfectly organized, all the shops you need and more are there. Each shop has enough stock of everything. I never failed to find a specific product here because they are out of stock or because they don't sell it in general. The play areas for kids are just the best. My 15-month-old daughter spent 2 hours in the caterpillar and she could have spent 2 more days. We had a plan to go to the playground in one of the toyshops but we just didn't get to it. Also, all the kids shops like Cotton on, KeeDoo etc.are logically located right there, around the playground, which makes it very easy for the moms. There's a changing room like in no other malls. It's absolutely beautiful and entertaining. I was supposed to go there just for a quick change but we had to stay there for an hour as my daughter wouldn't leave...

Nice shopping if you can afford it. Very high end shops, but there are affordable ones too. It's just very big. Mandela Square has some nice restaurants for lunch.

Sandton city is not only about the mall, the city in my opinion needs more recognition than the shopping experience. Its one of the most modern and vibrant cities in Southern Africa, its home to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, head quarter of almost every corporate in the country, upmarket apartments, opulent hotels, bustling shopping malls, popular cafés and clubs. I love the sheet beauty of the city along with its vibrant shopping streets and nightlife, this is a true African miracle.

There are good five star hotels in the direct vicinity. The shopping experience in the Mall is good. They offer from low budget options, with many franchises offerings, to the higher end of the market. There is a food court, which could have been better and more available seating on busy days. Why are there no sanitizing in the male bathrooms. Why don't shopping centres do not make sure seats are sanitized and clean after a visit by somebody? That will be a much improved service when it happens. Like in most shopping centres, it seems that shoplifting is a common problem. So check your handbags and mobile phones and do not get distracted by people who are experienced in what they are doing. Don't be fooled. Women play a big part in this criminal activities. More lights and cameras can be added at the back exit of the Mandela Square.

Tried the restaurant Walnut Grove. Great ambience inside and can be a quick dash after shopping. Had the tumeric tea and it was amazing. Service was A1 too. Worth a try.

Interesting architecture if you take the time to explore

The most modern part of Johannesburg. The most elite and the most secure. There is a subway, Sandton City Gautrain. Therefore, everything, from the point of view of logistics, is very convenient. Huge shopping mall, Mandela square. There is everything you need. If you are an independent traveler and travel by car, otherwise you will definitely like this place. The autobahn and the nearest road junctions, both to the south and to the north, for example, to Kruger Park, are very close and convenient. The perfect place to start your journey.

This place is huge! I love that the staff are so helpful and friendly. In my experience they went out if their way to help me and that goes a long way. It has every store you could ever think of as well as the designer outlets. If you are new, its easy to get lost but I recommend that you remember where you parked and you should be alright ✅

It's a beautiful looking shopping mall with all types of basic facilities. It's a safe place for a foreigner but shopping would be expensive 😂 You can find brands such as Zara & Samsung having brand stores here.

Very convenient mall to shop at. A huge variety of stores. The only thing that got to me is the cleanliness of the toilets lately. It's on numerous occasions now that I make use of the facilities, and on all separate occasions the toilet facilities was not up to health standards.

My go to mall. Upmarket with everything under one roof. From food courts to Zara clothing. Big pharmas and many boutiques. Spacious and many banks with the Nelson Mandela Square for open air dining. Hotels ajoined and a impressive library on the square. Next to a gautrain stop. So very convenient from OR tambo to Sandton City if you have a few hrs to spare.

Not the best malls out there, but surely the most popular. Accessibility is great and various entrances and exits. Has a generic mall feel to itself and the variety of shops is good. A bit too many turns within short spaces makes it a disorienting experience walking around the mall, but signage is slightly helpful. Great for shopping and hanging out at the mall.

Absolutely one of the best malls in South Africa. Clean, spacious. Enough restaurants and fast food outlets. Ample shops. All the well-known department stores and all the well-known brand shops. Well, it's worth a visit.

I went into the mall in the morning to do my usual erands shopping. I was with my 4 years old daughter and 10 months old son. as their mother was working her shift. first, we took the vehicle for tires charge at Tyger and wheels. we dropped off the car and went to Absa to settle accounts. i took my son for a check-up at his paediatrician then we were hungry and decided to visit "checkers sandton" for lunch meals and other shopping items. at this point, my daughter was so destructive in a way that she wanted everything in that store from snacks to all the Barbie dolls. we proceeded to the till point to make payment for our goods. with all the destructions of 2 minors, three (3) iterms from my basket were not paid for. security arrested us for shoplifting. I spoke to the manager in that store, explaining that that was an honest mistake i did not intend. The manager insisted on calling the police and called us "bloody thiefs." we were arrested for shoplifting, kept in SAPS holding cell with my kids for the first time in my life. such tragedy in my experience, Sandton City is the worst place to do shopping Sandton City

Great place, tons of available parking and lots of different stores. Makes shopping so much more easier and also have lots of options as well. There are also charging stations available which is brilliant 👏 😀 I love that most of all and a wide range of places to eat from and the place is also kept clean and safe for shoppers and are wiped down after everyone is done eating. Proper recycling ♻️ 😍 bins as well- separated paper, plastic and waste love the entire thing truly well set up and great 👍 job to the staff members keeping the mall clean and safe with sanitizing stations everywhere and bins at every corner as well love it.😀

Its a very nice mall but its easy to get lost. There are helpful guides available but I would've preferred the screen map like in other malls. The surrounding area is beautiful so take a walk outside and go to Mandela Square if you can.

Quite a square mile! Theres so much attraction about Sandton city. You 'll find yourself in little corners here and there and wonder if you're still in Africa. The cars, architecture, the lifestyle.. amazing.

Undoubtedly the best mall in South Africa. Everything you want to shop or eat. Navigation is easy compared to other malls. Location is very good you can take the gautrain and walk to the mall. Safety wise sandton is probably the safest place in SA.

Sandton is getting busier and busier every year. So, I pick my times to go here like early on a Sunday or early in the week. The best collection of shops though. Just no proper furniture ones.

Really amazing Mall. Weekends have a standard parking rate of R8/R10 if im not mistaken. Quite busy on weekends. Great to do grocery shopping in the week as its not too busy and can get done quick. Generally a very clean environment.

Most of the shops close at 8pm, that's how fantastic this place is. I mean it boasts all the shops and restaurants you can possibly think of. Not too big that you would get lost though. You should try a slice of cake at Walnut Groove if you find yourself in these ends of Johannesburg. Best cakes ever.

The city of shopping - the city with best of all selections for clothing, jewellery, perfumes, shoes - and still enough outlets for services and item purchases. Also has good restaurants with extended operating hours.

Very beautiful architecture, and design. Lots of shops very upmarket brands. Lots of eating opinions but at a high cost, definitely worth a visit if you have never but not a place that can be visited very often by the middle or Lower class. 100% love the vibe and loved the experience. The security was really helpful and staff in the mall are friendly.

What an experience to walk through Sandton City. You could probably spend more than a day here and you will not be able to visit all the shops. The Diamond Walk offers wonderful places to splash on the big names, but you could also visit the Lego shop and by something for yourself as opposed to a gift for children or grandchildren. Great experience.

Too Huge but that's the fun in shopping 🛍 here...From Zara to TruWorth, H&M, Woolsworth, Forever New....and all. Allow yourself to get lost in this Mall for the fun of your fit bit Be ready to spend, eat, walk and weekends are always busy here.

One of my favorite shopping malls, with a huge variety to choose from. Well stocked, well spaced, plenty of parking and lovely shops to visit and shop at . Large variety of restaurants, and international brands to choose from .

The Sandton City Mall is the retail heart of Sandton. The mall is really large and right next to Nelson Mandela square. Woolworth and Hyper Checkers seem to be the anchor tenants. It is good for some window shopping, a quick lunch in the foodcourt or buying a new apparel from your favourite high street fashion brand. It’s a place where you can easily spend hours.

There is a huge variety of shops restaurants and an entertainment section, but personally I spent more time on the rooftop enjoying the view over the city. 😊

Sandton City shopping centre is located in the heart of South Africa’s financial district, and the very place that made this district so highly sought after.

Wow! What a Mall. There are many brand shops and a myriad of food outlets. It is wonderful if you are looking for a gift or a specific item or even just a nice outing at a restaurant, you will not be disappointed. The Mall is clean, bathrooms are acceptable and security is visible. There is plenty of parking, I used paid parking. Wheelchair accessibility is good and there are elevators at various points. Well worth a visit.

One of the most prestigious Malls in South Africa. From your national chain outlets such as Edgars, Cotton on, Foschini, Mr Price there are international brands available in the Diamond Walk I.e Zara, H&M, Gucci, LV, Burberry, Zegna, Tods and many others. There is a huge food court with something for everyone. You get almost everything from fashion, food, groceries, toys, tech stores, souvenirs, South African delicacies. This is my shopping mall of choice in Gauteng province.
