My experience at the park was great, but as soon as you enter you can see the biggest issue: they keep animals in captivity and exploit them 365 days a year. Those dolphins, stingrays and manatees are pet by thousands of tourists every day. In this century, this treatment should be illegal. The rest of the park is wonderful. The water slides, cenotes, snorkel, bike rides, zip lines, all exciting and amazing. The buffet has great variety of food for every taste, and the quality was excellent. With all the wonders the park can offer, it shouldn't need to exploit animals. But of course, people pay good money for it, and that's what the owners care about.

The price had me worried... But it was worth it... Great relaxing day doing water activities. Food was good, never felt overly crowded. It is really a choose your own adventure type place. I would strongly recommend it. Lifejackets are required, I am a strong swimmer but after all day I was glad at the end to have it.

I had visited years ago, but during my recent visit I got to experience far more of the park. We did a full day and were busy the entire time. I would return in a heartbeat. The fact that so many things are included with admission is one of the best parts. Locker, towels, food, drinks, life jackets, snorkel equipment, and bikes are all part of the package. With all of that comfortably in place, we felt free to explore while carrying as little as possible. We did a lot of exploring! Lots of swimming and walking, some biking, all of it beautiful. The fish you see will certainly vary, but having one of the big rays pass under you is quite the experience. The mangroves in the river swap up the mood entirely. We managed a pretty easy day in terms of the crowds and it was a dream. We didn't feel any of the extra experiences were necessary for us, but they are all well integrated into the park if one chose to do them. Really a spectacular day.

A great place to visit and have fun. Great service and nicely setup. Buy the all inclusive ticket which includes food as well. I was thinking the the water slide on the big tower will be scary, but its cool. snorkeling or tubing, its awesome. Water can be cold in caves or at the beginning or the river where snorkeling is. Highly recommended. There are additional paid activities if you like. They also offer pickup and drop-off from your hotel, or depending where you are located.

My family and I loved this park. We lived the lighthouse slides, the floating river, snorkeling, the ropes course... All of it! The size of the park is great. Not too big. Not too small. The bus from Plays del Carmen left pretty early but it was good to get there early to have the full day. Just get a good night's sleep as you will need energy to enjoy the full park. Highly recommended!

Awesome place to come and visit! While I was here I was able to do every activity that was included with the ticket and still had time at the end of the day to sit back and relax. The snorkeling is amazing and the include the equipment! You start in a denote and end up in fresh water. They have a couple of huge water slides, walking paths, a small rope swing, tons of gift shops, and more all for free. There are extra cost activities that looked like fun, but I didn’t try! All meals are included with unlimited drinks and buffet style food which is good! Transportation is included as well how we booked it.

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! We think we have it good, but this natural aquatic park is absolutely spectacular! From the staff, to the beautiful wild life it was all absolutely incredible. This is well worth the trip! They have dolphins, manatees, tons of incredible birds , and fish right at your feet.

VISIT THIS PARK! I've never done anything quite like it, and for the price it was just incredible. Exceeded all of my expectations. The park is a water park that leads into the ocean, so expect to see loads of tropical fish. You can snorkel around most of the water, take a natural lazy river, try cliff jumping and zip lining amongst other things. Optional extras include manatee and dolphin experiences. We easily spent a full day here and could have come back again. There are places to sit and sunbathe if you like and there are food and drink bars around where it's all inclusive. Snorkel gear is all free and you keep your snorkel at the end too which is handy for kids. I'd say invest in a little waterproof bag for your phone, everyone walks around with them and you'll definitely want to take lots of photos! Oh also, it's EXTREMELY clean, a real selling point for me. Water is so clear. Just lovely.

This park was great! We came in October and their were little to no crowds. Especially toward the afternoon, we were practically the only ones in the water. The snorkeling was fun, with lots of fish everywhere. They also had a few fun zip lines. Overall, I would recommend!

A really great place to visit, especially for families. The package we had was all food and drink inclusive, so we had a hearty breakfast that lasted us until a late lunch. What we know now: waterproof footwear, not sliders. For walking around the rocks in the water you need something sturdier. Invest beforehand in a waterproof phone pouch so that you can take underwater pictures. Snorkel at every available opportunity, we only snorkelled near the mangrove area and didn't see too much aquatic life. Carry as little as possible around the park so that you can all together jump in at any point and not worry about valuables needing to be attached. Towels and snorkel equipment is included as is a locker (in our package anyway).

What a great park! I will go back here any chance I get. So much to see and do. Plenty of place to relax and enjoy the scenery along with land and water activities. The 98 foot tall water slide has amazing views and very fun. Snorkeling is amazing and I saw 3 stingrays with one swimming directly under me. What an amazing experience!

Oh man this park is amazing. You can get in a tube or grab a snorkel set and float down the river into a beautiful lagoon. There are two or three places where you can jump off of 15 ft cliff and there are a couple of zip lines that land in the water. There's also a huge lighthouse with slides that come down. There were some nature hikes and some other natural attractions as well. We decided the dolphins were important. We've decided to stop calling this place Xel- Ha and call it Swim-eat. The food is included so we had a quick breakfast in the morning and then ran the river, had lunch, saw a bunch of other attractions and then had dinner before we left. My biggest recommendation for this place is make sure you get there when it first opens. You won't be sorry you got there early. It gets you the ability to eat or hit some of the attractions before the crowd shows up.

Family friendly place. All included, no worries for nothing. You can go snorkeling all day, bikes, playground and many many more places. We liked it a lot. You need the whole day to see it all. It is big. Children under 10 cannot go to all the attractions, but there are plenty of others. Did not regret it. We bought tickets online directly on their site, is cheaper than the agency from the hotel by 10-15%.

Incredible day at Xel-Ha! We booked our tickets via the park webpage and selected pick up from our hotel which was a great decision as it took the stress out of getting there. The park itself was huge, we spent the whole day there and only saw half of it. The snorkelling was incredible and you can collect snorkel equipment from the various locker rooms around the park. Food selection in the various buffets were fantastic and the staff were lovely and helpful. Some activities such as the dolphins and manatees had added costs, but the manatee experience was well worth it. Highly recommend and would definitely return if we visit Mexico again.

Wish I was able to get more photos of this place, but it is fantastic! We had free food and free drinks included with just regular entrance to the park. The place is very big and looks gorgeous. It offers all sorts of activities to do all over, and it has a very cool/refreshing natural pool to jump into. The quality of the food (which all the restaurants are buffets) is really well made and tastes great! It's fun for the whole family!

Honestly this place was a blast !!! Between zip lining into the ocean to tubing down the river walking across the floating bridge I don't know what was more fun. There was so many different things to do and see the wildlife was awesome as well. From what I remember it was all you can drink and the food was pretty good too. I would definitely visit here again and bring friends !

Lovely place for naturists, the huge slide was thrilling to go down. Would I do it a second time? No haha. It rattled my brain a bit after all of those all inclusive beers. The all inclusive drinks were just okay. The food was solid for being all inclusive. I just didn’t like the amount of rules and regulations. You can’t bring your phone to take pictures from the top of the slide, you need to return your scuba equipment everytime you do some activity, waiting in lines, etc. That all could be improved Best part of this was floating through the mangroves on the tube. Crystal clear water and an absolutely divine experience.

Big park with lots to do. Lockers, towels and food were included. They charge extra for a lot of activities such as interacting with animals. 1 hour drive each way from our resort at Xcaret Arte. We were dropped off at 10 AM and picked up at 5 PM.

  • 5/5 Ryan L. 2 years ago on Google
I would give this 10 stars if I could. This is not a day trip I could easily spend a week here. We were really sad that we missed the water slide because it closes an hour before the rest of the park. The food and drinks were fantastic and the staff were helpful and understanding of my bad Spanish lol The snorkelling was my favourite part of my day bring your own equipment if you can but the parks are not bad. I can’t wait to go again and often! Thank you!

Our best experience during our vacation to Riviera Maya. Plenty of water activities and also a few activities not in water (biking, playground, floating bridge). The food is delicious and you can rent lockers, tubes, snorkels and towels for free. So nice compared to Xcaret where everything is at an additional price. We really enjoyed the slides, river tubing, ziplines, snorkeling and just seeing the place is gorgeous! The only thing to prepare for is a lot of walking or planning the day so you do the activities in an order that doesn't require lots of walking.

Amazing scenery, decent food all day and drinks, there was a bit of an issue with there only being certain areas to get snorkeling gear and the gear setups being different and travel to and from was nearly 5 hours round trip, but we snorkeled around a massive area in the park first starting with a lazy river style entry point that let out into the bay where there were tons of entry points to the water from the surrounding shops and food areas. We had an amazing time and got some excellent gopro footage of stingrays and fish and birds and crabs and dolphins. If you have size 14 feet or bigger, the flippers won't fit so I had to go bare foot. Keep your locker key handy and use the red lockers as they are central to the park and have the most attractions and food and drinks nearby.

Bus transportation from our hotel was very organized and comfortable. The driver was very polite and welcoming! We arrived at the location on time and was directed properly and informed clearly for our return instructions. We were issued our armbands on the bus because we purchased the excursion at our hotel. This was a great idea! We went during the week, don’t know if that made a difference. We didn’t have problems getting lockers, but the restaurant breakfast line got crowded quickly so we were sent to another location. The food was well stocked and tasted perfect. The activity area water was dark and crowded but once you got to the open snorkeling area, the water was beautiful! My family had an awesome visit yet again. I’m sure this will not be our last time.

Loved it! One day is not long enough to see/do everything! I would definitely love to come back. It's beautiful. Love that it's all inclusive, all you can eat, towels lockers etc. It began raining but, still we were able to do a lot of the activities even snorkeling. The lunch buffet was amazing!

This was SUCH a fun place to be! Full of activities, beautiful scenery, snorkeling, rivers, mangroves, cenotes, and more! The buffet was great, the drinks were great, and the automatic photo station was convenient. It’s definitely worth buying the unlimited pictures for $60. I definitely recommend this place for all ages! Don’t forget to ride the slides!!

Perfect place for perfect day with kids, especially if you prefer nature over concrete paths and swimming pools. There is plenty of people o think, but you can't really feel it in other places than foodcourt. There is plenty to choose from, and enough drink and food (included in price) to keep everyone happy. The only downside are pricey photos from extra curriculum activities (cheapest package was 120$!).

  • 5/5 Rachel W. 1 year ago on Google
Great experience. Lots of things to do and see for the standard entry price, however some fun add ons if interested. Beautiful place! Can choose to be adventurous or relax. All you can eat throughout the day, open bars. Very clean and great service.

Had an amazing day at this place with my family. There is plenty to do with a 4 year old and a 7 year old. life jackets are mandatory and are everywhere. Organization is amazing and food was good. There are lockers on site, towels, and whatever you forgot to bring. Highly suggest to bring a waterproof case for your phone so you can take pictures. The park is huge and requires you to pre=plan what you want to do. The kids play area is perfect, they even have an area on the water with floating lily pads that kids can jump on.

We LOVED our experience at Xel-ha. The food and drinks were all-you-can-eat all day long and the fare was pretty decent. The kids area is fun and has a couple of water slides. Tubing or snorkelling down the river is the main event. It was beautiful, peaceful, fun, and a decent workout if you choose to do any amount of swimming! Some of us tubed and some snorkelled which worked out just fine, but those two things are separate at the very beginning so we had to locate each other when we came out of our separate paths. Along the river you can cliff jump, zip line, do a ropes course, etc. We spent about two hours on the river. The park has free lockers and bathrooms throughout. There is a hammock area and chairs throughout. It was way less crowded than Xcaret and the hammocks and chairs were largely unoccupied. Many of the activities and animal encounters are add-ons. There was enough to do and to have an enjoyable relaxing day in the sun and water without extras. We did pay for a dolphin encounter for several of our kids that really wanted to do it. The rest of us enjoyed watching the dolphins perform even though we weren't in a position to touch them. We did pay a visit to the first-aid clinic after my 6yo got stung by a bee inside her mouth while biting into a dessert. Don't know how she or I missed seeing it there but it happened. She received excellent care from the medical personnel. She was totally freaking out but they were so patient, calm, and unruffled. They got the embedded stinger out so swiftly she instantly calmed down and said she didn't feel a thing. Someone in management came and profusely apologized for the experience and asked for and listened to my daughter's difficult-to-execute suggestions to prevent bees getting to the dessert (honestly, I only saw one bee anywhere near food that day until the incident so I'm figuring chances of this situation reoccurring are slim). They treated her like royalty and their kindness was much appreciated.

I've been here 4 times now over the last 15 years and love it. The scenery is absolutely amazing. The food is absolutely wonderful. The staff is great. It's clean and organized. And I think it's fairly priced. It's a little piece of heaven.

We had a great day at Xel-Ha! The snorkling was a blast - saw a couple sting rays, baracuda, parrotfish, jacks, etc. All inclusive food and drink was perfect and the staff very pleasant. Loved watching the dolphins and the iguana who seemed oblivious to us. We went here 30+ years ago and were very pleased that it is not only as wonderful as we remembered but with many additions that really enhanced the experience.

a beautiful natural park focused on ecology and marine life and plant conservation. I loved the plant nursery and all the animals who looked well cared for. It’s one of a kind place because the original landscape was preserved as much as possible while also being an amusement park. The food in the mexican buffet was local and delicious, staff was helpful, and the park was very easy to navigate. I also really enjoyed the activity to collect stamps into a ‘passport’ that’s also a booklet filled with interesting facts about the park and the ecosystem - would recommend this as a souvenir, not just for kids.

One of my favorites excursions, this last time being my second visit. I've always found the food to be one of my favorites as far as all-inclusive dining is concerned. Beautiful ocean to swim and explore as well as enough activities to make the most of the day. Do note some activities offered aren't included with the admission price and will cost you extra (ie swimming with dolphins, snuba-diving). I'd recommend this excursion to those vacationing in the area.

We had a great visit. Just know in advance that most stuff costs an additional fee. My favourite spot was the fish therapy I wanted to try this my whole life and seeing that it’s banned in most parts of the world it made it super cool to try it out. The zip bike was a lot of fun but if you’re at all unathletic or a smoker just know the first half is down hill and save your energy for the zip back up haha 😂 but for real the whole park is super clean. Also as a side note this place is non smoking!!!! We had an employee say that you could smoke at any garbage can that had sand on it and no you can NOT I felt so bad knowing I smoked where I wasn’t supposed to! If you’re a smoker ask at the front where you can go so you know ahead of time!

A great time. The place is huge. The tubes/lazy river took up a lot of our time. It's too slow. The beginning was beautiful but I'd hop off at an earlier stop. There is a lot to do! The Mexican buffet was delicious!

  • 5/5 Cindy E. 4 months ago on Google
This adventure park was amazing! Natural walking trails, lazy River, cliff jumping, zip lining and rope courses. It’s all inclusive but you can pay up to swim with manatees, dolphins or stingrays. Beautiful place to spend the day! Did I mention food and drinks are all included?!

  • 3/5 Michael A. 4 months ago on Google
This is my second time in 12 years, and I have to say that my first experience was a lot better than my second! The park is very expensive if you add on additional extras e.g. photo pass and extra activities. It is very hard to do everything in one visit, so a two day pass will cost extra. Free food and watered down drinks are included though. A good tip is to get food from the Mexican buffet restaurant that serves local and regional food! The buffet is great and the waiters serve proper drinks!

  • 5/5 Frieda Roshto V. 1 year ago on Google
Loved being here! We were there first part of Dec 22. Everything was amazing! Will go here again. No need to scuba, the snorkeling was so fun! (Don't forget sunscreen on the top of the backside of your thighs.) Food and drinks all inclusive made this even better. Get the photo package, they have photographers all around the park in addition to the "selfies" that are stationed all around. Totally worth it!

  • 5/5 Kennetha B. 10 months ago on Google
I definitely recommend coming here. We had the opportunity to visit and did some really cool activities here. The sting rays, the slide , zip bike etc. We did them . We had a great time I will never forget trying to walk on the floating bridge. The ocean was choppy and that made the bridge move ALOT. But I'm very thankful for the life guards assisting those across when needed as well as the younger /kids. This is a most go to

  • 5/5 Emiliano B. 6 months ago on Google
What an amazing time we had. All you can rate and drink. The lazy river with zip line, you can ride bikes and snorkel. If you want to pay extra for other activities you can but you really don't need too. Very clean and very well taken care of. My only complaint is that the park opens at 830am and restaurants at 930am. So you have to try to kill the first hour.

  • 5/5 Luis Enrique García G. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent park! I visited for the first time the park and it was an amazing experience... I strongly recommend you to swim the river (do not use the floater 🛟) and use all the equipment that they offer (or you might end the road exhausted). Food and service are excellent too! Please try the Mexican food;)

Visited in 2015 and was one of the best experiences of my life. Beautiful natural water park / aquarium with lots to do. Snorkeling was the best!

  • 4/5 Cj J. 5 months ago on Google
Very cool place, very clean, and very eco-friendly. But you need to pay extra to experience some of it's coolest attractions. My wife loves marine biology, and the snorkeling, snuba, and ocean walk were a real treat. Plenty of colorful fish willing to swim up to us. The snuba into an underwater cave and the ocean walk were well worth the price. And for a little extra, I highly recommend paying for the picture and video package. The many cameramen and automated cameras in the park make it well worth it. A cameraman even scuba dove along side us into the cave for a video. Also, the trainers for the snuba diving were very thorough, even with a slight language barrier. It was my first time trying snuba, and I felt very safe and capable after the training.

Such a beautiful park. With so much to do. Unlimited drinks and food is a nice plus. Bring water shoes! There is alot of walking. They supply snorkels and life jackets. Staff is very friendly. Everyone we spoke to had such a great attitude. Food was ok. The second buffet we ate at the was on the upper level the birds were going in and out of the food. But hard to keep them away when it's open air like that. We just mad sure to note which ones they were targeting and stayed away from those trays. But over all loved the park. Lots of lounge chairs, hammocks, hang out locations. Very easy to spend the whole day there.

Came here to do the Delphinus swim and ride, and entry to the park was included. DO IT! By far the best excursion I have done during my time in Mexico. It is smaller than XCARET! But with plenty of things to keep you occupied! The day started with the dolphin swim. We had a 10 minute briefing watching some videos about what to expect and then went on to explain the things they are doing to preserve the coastlines and oceans as well as preserving the livelihood of Dolphins. After that it was straight into the dolphin swim. We had a couple of petting times. Then we swam out into the pool one at a time and had a dolphin swim up to us and offer a fin, at which we held in and went for a literal ride in a dolphin! Once the dolphin swim was done we made our way to the river. I was quite expecting the river to be as deep, it’s up to 12-15 ft deep in some places but it’s a beautiful journey through mangroves, into the open river then eventually into the lagoon. On the way there are two desperate ‘cliff of courage’ opportunities. I did them both (humble brag), and was well worth it (it’s free, don’t worry). It’s about 10 ft above the river, but when. Your up there about to jump it feels much higher! There is also ‘adventure world’ that consists of a tight rope across the water, a rope obstacle course and a selection of zip lines, all included with your ticket. Great fun! I then went up the scenic tower, although I wasn’t too barbered but the scenery, I just wanted to go on the water slide! If your scared of heights, it’s probably not for you. The food and drink here is all included unlike at XCARET! which is a life saver! There are several restaurants to choose from. All in all, with aa range of different activities to do, although most at an extra cost, (and is rather pricy so be sure to bring plenty of money with you (cash or card, they also accept Apple Pay)), this is an amazing day out for all ages!

  • 4/5 Paula A. 5 months ago on Google
Most of the cool activities are extra price like dolphins and diving. Pictures with dolphins are not included in the pictures package. Better to buy a bag to put your phone in so you can take pics in the water. This picture package is to expensive and not worth it! Other than that the park is beautiful, fun and the food is amazing ! Get there early to avoid the crowds. We loved it

Great place to visit with Family. A lot of fun activities. All-inclusive park and also they work with you on the price of the extra paid activities. We definitely will be back soon.

This place was great. For a reasonable price, we got (mostly) tasty all we could eat food, unlimited snorkeling, and some other fun activities all together. It was great for adults and kids alike, and I will most likely go there again next time I am in the area.
