Stunning to be in a wonderful bit of Muslim history. This is the first mosque purpose built. The Prophet ﷺ himself put the first stones down to build this and it was completed some 11 months later. It’s obviously been built on and expanded dozens of times, but just to know what it’s history is spell binding, which goes for a lot of the places in Medina to be fair. Very calm and very blessed.

Quba mosque have good facilities. the management of the Quba mosque always ensures the cleanliness of the mosque is maintained. The ablution place provided is also clean. The toilet is outside the mosque but nearby. There are many toilet rooms. The area inside the mosque is comfortable and there is space outside the mosque which is suitable for outdoor activities for visitors.

The Quba Mosque (Arabic: مَسْجِد قُبَاء, romanized: Masjid Qubāʾ) is a mosque located on the outskirts of Medina, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the mosque was built 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) off Medina in the village of Quba, before Medina expanded to include this village. Depending on whether the Mosque of the Companions in the Eritrean city of Massawa[1] is older or not, it may be the first mosque in the world that dates to the lifetime of the Islamic prophet Muhammad in the 7th century CE.[2][3][4] According to records, its first stones were positioned by Muhammad as soon as he arrived on his emigration from the city of Mecca to Medina,[5] and the mosque was completed by his companions. Muhammad spent 14 days in this mosque praying qaṣr (Arabic: قَـصْـر, a short prayer) while waiting for Ali to arrive in Medina, after the latter stayed behind in Mecca to safeguard Muhammad’s life and safe escape by sleeping in Muhammad’s bed in his place, an event referred to in the Quran, sura al Baqara verse 207.[6] Also going along with traditional saying, this mosque is said to be where the first Friday prayer was held, led by Muhammad.[7]

An outstanding experience to be here at Masjid e Quba , the first ever Masjid of Islam. Nabi e Kareem stayed there during Hijra before entering Madina Tayyiba. This is also the first Masjid where Nimaz e Jumma pray first time. If someone Perform (pray) two Nafal at this Masjid he will be rewarded one Maqbool Umrah. May Allah Pak bless all of us with Eman & system of Quran.

Quba Mosque, was the first mosque built by the Prophet Muhammad. In the year 1 Hijriyah or 622 AD in Quba, about 5 km southeast of the city of Medina. In the Qur'an it is stated that the Quba Mosque is a mosque built on the basis of piety (QS. At-taubah: 108). Alhamdulillah, my son and I were given the opportunity by Allah to visit the Quba Mosque. And perform sunnah prayers in it. The Quba Mosque is very beautiful. Allaahu Akbar❤️❤️❤️

It is great to visit first Masjid built by our Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) while he migrated to Madinah. It is not far from Prophet’s masjid around 3.5~4 km. It is well maintained masjid alhamdulillah , may Allah bless who are involved to keep this clean and tidy. You will feel the tranquility while visiting the masjid.

Masjid Quba is a special place in Medina that's totally amazing. When I went there, I felt this incredible sense of peace and tranquility. The mosque is beautiful, with a lot of open space and a welcoming atmosphere. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said something really cool about Masjid Quba. He said, "Whoever purifies himself in his house and comes to Masjid Quba and offers two rak'ahs therein, will have a reward like that of an 'Umrah." (Sahih Muslim 713) The road leading to Masjid Quba is like a pleasant stroll. It's called the Quba Walk Road, and it's lined with trees, making it a refreshing walk. I enjoyed taking my time, soaking in the surroundings. As I entered Masjid Quba, I felt a sense of history and spirituality. The architecture is simple yet beautiful, and the courtyard is spacious. I made sure to offer two rak'ahs, following the Prophet's advice. The atmosphere around Masjid Quba is serene. There's a peaceful feeling as people pray, read Quran, and reflect. The cool thing is that even if you just visit and relax, you get immense blessings.

The Masjid is the first in Madinah as Nabi Kareem Hazrat Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallaam stayed here with Syedna Abubakr radhiallahu anhu prior entering the city of Madinah, and made it into a Masjid then. The Right and left roofed parts of the Masjid reflect the names of Sahaba radhiallahu anhum on the corners of ceilings. Zamzam drinking taps have been installed inside the Masjid. Since it's Sunnah of The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallaam to visit this Masjid on Saturday and offer 2 rakah Salah, you may find relatively more pilgrims on the day than rest of the week. The capacity of the Masjid, ablution area, and washrooms is good enough not to make people wait most of the time despite a huge turnout as usual.

The parking area is quite far from the mosque and very dusty. There are lots of people selling their wares to you all the way from the mosque to your bus. Buying dates and strawberries here tastes very delicious.

It's the very first Masjid of Islam. It was built just before the arrival of Rasualallah(saw) in Quba by Hz. Ammar ibn Yasir(ra). If you are in Medina you must visit this mosque. The government have made a straight and beautiful road, known as "Quba Front", direct from Masjid an Nabwi(gate no 310) to Masjid Al-Quba. It is a 3.5 km road, you can either walk to Quba mosque(which will take around 40 minutes) or take an electric cab that cost 10 riyal as per January 2024 and will drop you at Quba mosque in 10 minutes. You would find a lot of shops on the sidewalks. Masjid Quba has a special blessing to it. Sahl) bin Hunaif said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to the Quba’ Mosque and offers one prayer therein, will have a reward like that for ‘Umrah.”

Quba Mosque, the first mosque in Islam, was built-up by Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) in 622 AD, the year when he migrated from Makkah to Yathrib, an event considered by Muslims the start of the Islamic calendar. Accordingly, it is over 14 centuries old! The Quba Mosque (Arabic: مَسْجِد قُبَاء‎, romanized: Masjid Qubāʾ, Hejazi Arabic pronunciation: [mas.dʒɪd ɡʊ.ba]) is a mosque located in Medina, in the Hejazi region of Saudi Arabia, built in the lifetime of the Islamic prophet Muhammad in the 7th century C.E.[1][2][3] It is thought to be the first mosque in the world, built on the first day of Muhammad's emigration to Medina.[4][5] Its first stone is said to have been laid by the prophet, and the structure completed by his companions.[6] As per historical Islamic texts, Muhammad spent 14 days in this mosque praying qaṣr (Arabic: قَصْر, a short prayer) while waiting for Ali to arrive in Medina, after he stayed behind in Mecca to safeguard Muhammad's life and escape, by sleeping in Muhammad's bed in his place.[7] Performing Wuḍūʾ ('Ablution') in one's home, then offering two Rakaʿāt of Nafl (Optional) prayers in the Quba Mosque, is considered to be equal to performing one ʿUmrah. Muhammad used to go there, riding or on foot, every Saturday and offer a two rakaʿāt prayer. He advised others to do the same, saying, "Whoever makes ablutions at home and then goes and prays in the Mosque of Quba, he will have a reward like that of an 'Umrah."[8] This ḥadīth was reported by Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Al-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and Hakim al-Nishaburi.[citation needed] Initially, the mosque was built 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) off Medina in the village of Quba, before Medina expanded to include this village

The washroom and ablution area is nice and clean, and the praying area for women is also good. We even went to Quba avenue and got a bargain on some men and women perfume and some bukhoor scents. Whoever makes wudu' and leaves him house for this Masjid and prays two Rakah's, they've earned the reqard of an Umrah. A must visit if you are going to be in Madinah for any period of time!

Masjid Quba is the first mosque (masjid) in Islamic history. It was constructed in 622 CE, almost a year after the migration to Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Although the foundation of the Quba Mosque was laid by Prophet Muhammad ‎(ﷺ), it was later completed by his companions, making it the oldest and second-largest mosque to date.

SubhanAllah this is a special place. The Prophet (PBUH) prayed here and laid the first stones himself (PBUH). Met some of the mosques administration and he was super kind and welcoming and showed us around the mosque. I don't think you can take bags into the mosque which was a little difficult because I had one, but the security at the front watched it for me and who I was with (although I wouldn't count on this). However, who knows maybe the policy has changed because it wasn't advertised it just kinda happened and I really struggle to understand Saudi Arabic so I could've misread the situation. Anyway, for sure go here while in Saudi!

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, reached the place of Quba, located at a distance of 4-5 km south of Medina. He met all his inhabitants and lived there for four days. In Cuba, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stayed in the house of Kulthum ibn al-Khidama. Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, arrived to him after he returned the things to their owners, which they had entrusted (this was written about in the previous article) to the Prophet. Al Quba Mosque is the first mosque ever built (outside Medina) and the oldest mosque in Saudi Arabia. Its first stones were laid by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) during his migration from Mecca to Medina, but the mosque was completed by his companions. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) spent within its walls, according to different versions, from 3 to 15 nights, waiting for Ali-ashab (r.a.). Qubbah is a place located 4–5 km south of Medina. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) during his migration before entering Medina, stayed in Qubba, here he laid the foundation for a mosque. The Koran says about this mosque: (meaning) “It is built on the foundation of fear of God. It is good for you to stand for prayer in this mosque. There are people there who love cleanliness, and Allah loves those who keep cleanliness” (Surah 9, verses 108-109). This is the sense in which the Koran speaks about this mosque. Therefore, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions often went to this mosque and performed prayers in it. The sacred hadith says: “the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) visited the Qubbah mosque sometimes on foot and sometimes on horseback” (Bukhari). A very important sunnah is to visit the Qubbah Mosque. If possible, it is visited on Saturday, and if it is not possible on this day, then on any other day. For ziyarat, they make the intention to perform namaz there and get closer to Allah. The hadith says: “Namaz performed in the Qubbah Mosque is equal to performing Umrah” (Tirmidhi). The hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim says: “Prophet Muhammad (saw) came to the Kubba mosque on horseback or on foot and performed two rak’ahs in it.” Another legend says: “The Messenger of Allah (saw) came there every Saturday.” There is also such a hadith: “Whoever cleanses himself in his house, then comes to the Kubba mosque and performs prayer in it, will be rewarded in the same way as for Umrah” (Ahmad). Ibn Saad narrates from the Messenger of Allah (saw) that when he visited Ummah Bashir bin Barra bin Maarur from the tribe of Bani Salama, a treat was prepared for him, after which he recited the Zuhr prayer together with the Sahabah, reciting the first two of its rak'ahs with the qibla to al-aqs, and then changing the qibla to Masjid-ul-haram, after which the mosque in which the prayer was read was named the Mosque of Two Qiblas.

Masjid Quba is built on the spot where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) first stayed after migrating from Makkah to Madinah. The Prophet (PBUH) and his beloved companion arrived in Madinah on the 12th Rabi ul-Awwal, which was a Monday. Masjid Quba’s history can be traced back to the seventh century, making it one of the world’s oldest mosques. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself laid down the initial stones for the creation of Masjid Quba. The mosque is also a landmark, the site where the first Friday prayer was held. Like every other religion, Islam also has a history dotted with battles and victories that inspire millions of Muslims worldwide. In the 7th century, due to the increase in the number and severity of persecutions by the Quraysh, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), on the command of Allah SWT, decided to migrate to Madinah (previously known as Yathrib). As this news reached the believers of The Enlightened City, the believers started counting the days in awaiting the beloved Prophet (PBUH). Every day, these people would go to the fields and wait under the shade of the palm trees in hopes to catch a glimpse of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Until one day, a Jew, after seeing a small caravan of white-robed travellers, shouted, “O people of Arabia! What you have been waiting for has arrived!” On hearing the news, the Muslims rushed to welcome Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA). The beloved Prophet (PBUH) then turned to the right and started walking towards Quba – a small village located outside Madinah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), on reaching Banu Amr bin Auf’s house, got off his camel and went to meet those who were waiting for him there. He then addressed the Muslims of Makkah and Madinah collectively and said, “O People, give unto one another greetings of peace; feed the people; strengthen the ties of kinship, pray in the hours when others are asleep. Even so, shall ye enter paradise in peace.” Being the second-largest mosque, Masjid Quba holds great significance in the hearts of millions of Muslims around the world. The holy mosque is said to provide blessings equivalent to an Umrah, as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that whoever prays inside Masjid Quba, it would be as though they have performed one Umrah. “Whoever makes ablutions in this house and offers one prayer therein, will be rewarded the equivalent of one Umrah.” Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
