Ok.. what to say? By what to start? Everything about this museum what amazing! - First the building is incredible, either inside than outside. It's well designed to let you walk through the museum and enjoy the visit. The exterior part too is obviously incredible, and the dome is wonderful. It let the light go through, without the heat so you can enjoy your time outside. - Exhibitions are also incredibly well thought and you follow in parallel the evolution of the civilizations and can see how, even when evolving in different places, they all come to a lot of similarities. The audio-guide is well made and explanations are kept short for each display, which is nice, around 1m30-2m max. In order to listen to everything, it will take you around 4h. - Finally, the staff is really friendly in all part of the museum. Tips: arrive early to enjoy the museum with less people and book a kayak tour around the museum, it's so much worth it and make you see the museum differently!

I love this incredible place! It’s beautiful and modern and keeps many gorgeous ancient artworks in it. An interesting permanent exhibition, supplemented regularly by new expositions. Everything is shown with great taste, convenient, compact and detailed. I love the architecture of this museum, its embeddedness in the landscape, its modernity and elegant beauty. On Wednesdays, you can visit the dome of this beautiful building for free starting at 18:30 hours, just at sunset, when the white walls of the museum are reflected in the different-colored reflections of the setting sun. Must see when visiting Abu Dhabi.

The architecture of the building alone is worth the visit. They have wonderful temporary exhibitions with art borrowed from different locations as well as their own permanent artifacts. The space is beautiful. It's a big museum but not as big as the Louvre in Paris which is fine because no human can get through that in a day.

If you only have a day to visit something amazing in Abu Dhabi, add Louvre to your list. You won't regret it I promise. The architecture is amazing inside and outside. Everything inside is just well-curated. Even if I'm not able to visit the Louvre in Paris, visiting the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is already enough for me. There's a pretty cafe outside too. I could spend a whole day here and not be mad about it. There's just so many things to see. If you're a curious person, this is definitely one for the books. I'll definitely come back here. 1-2 hours is just not enough. I'll try the kayak around the museum next time. You should too!

Well organized and arranged, love how it was easy to navigate and retain information. It wasn’t too crowded and quite enjoyable for a day trip. It took me 2 hours to explore the permanent collection. The dome area is very pleasant after walking in the galleries, especially in the winter time.

Simply WOW! The architecture and the whole atmosphere are breathtaking and out of this world. The museum itself is organized from the first ages of men until the present which is highly interesting. There’s a lot to learn and all different kind of art available. Tip: Take your headphones! With the Louvre App you have your own portable audio guide and can choose the art pieces that you want some further information on.

Good experience, very nice building which I would visit even if it didn't have artifacts. One would spend time admiring the building, too. The inside layout and route are smooth, and galaries take you through a journey in history and art as expected from a reputable icon and brand. The Cartier exhibition was breathtaking.. and the Letters of Light requires time to read, reflect, and appreciate. I thought it's going to take me a couple of hours, but I ended up spending a few more. Wonderful experience brought to our doorstep. Thank you, Abu Dhabi.

An amazing structure outside and inside. It was a pleasure walking around. There is a good collection of ancient objects and modern art, telling the history of human culture. There are guided tours options but it is okay to walk by yourself too. They have an app that is quite useful. It is better to book tickets in advance. The gift shop is quite nice too with lots of options for gifts, including for kids. Wheelchair accessible entrances and restrooms.

Timeless Beauty and Cultural Marvels around the world. A visit to the Louvre museum is an experience unlike any other. The magnitude of its collection, coupled with the exquisite architecture, leaves you in awe from the moment you step inside. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just curious about history, there's something for everyone here. Five hours flew by as we wandered through centuries of human creativity, from the iconic paintings and sculptures. The Louvre is a testament to the beauty and diversity of our world's cultural heritage, and a visit here is an absolute must for anyone in the world.

What a beautiful museum! The architecture alone is worth the visit. We loved the Children's Museum and seeing the regular collection. It's not as big as in other museums maybe, but it tells the story of the history of mankind quite well. Alao interesting to see a focus on the African part of that story. Definitely worth your visit.

An absolute must to-do while visiting Abu Dhabi. The museum has a lot to offer and you can easily spend half of the day here. There is so much to see and explore and the architecture of the building is simply amazing! The really cool thing is, that you can use your phone as an audio guide, so don’t forget the charger for it!

Really great museum, the architecture is insane. Design is classy and mix the outside part with the inside part perfectly. Lots of room to discover, a rooftop, few restaurants, great view on the sea. Few great spots to take pictures. Nice and some famous artists as Monet. I recommend it !! Also, backpacks and drinks must be left in wardrobe (free) before starting the tour. You can either read the information of the piece of art by yourself, or go on the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum website to listen to it.

If you are interested in history, culture, art and geography, this is one of the best places to visit. Be mindful and ready of the fact that, the entire exploration might take you 4 hours only by foot to complete. The good thing though is, there are comfortable chairs to rest or lay down a bit if you want to. It is indeed a nice place to be.

Visiting Louvre Abu Dhabi was a captivating experience. The Drown show was a mesmerizing blend of art and technology, immersing visitors in a unique sensory journey. The Cartier exhibition showcased exquisite craftsmanship, offering a fascinating glimpse into the brand's rich history. The museum's architecture and diverse exhibits make it a must-visit for art enthusiasts. For those seeking a moment of relaxation, the nearby coffee shop, strategically placed near an open amphitheater, provides an ideal spot. The reflection view of the building adds to the ambiance, making it a delightful place to savor a cup of coffee while basking in the artistic surroundings of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

This iconic museum is not to be missed. The presentation of the full collection is unique. The collections are easy to follow. It is a busy museum but not crowded. An additional bonus was the Cartier special exhibition which was remarkable. We went with two children and they loved the children’s exhibition.

The best art museum I've been to. I tour the world in search of art and this place is very well curated. The story is one continuous flow. The art is very carefully picked out. And the design of the displays is incredible. The building itself is worth the visit. I'm so glad I got to visit the Abu Dhabi Louvre. I would definitely recommend going just because of it to the city. Very cryptic/futuristic feel. Only remember to take your PCR in addition to your vaccine. As there were many people who were turned away. They really should offer a quick test on site.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a captivating masterpiece that seamlessly blends art, culture, and architecture. Its futuristic design, with a floating dome that allows natural light to filter through, creates a mesmerizing ambiance. The diverse collection of artworks from around the world showcases the museum's commitment to promoting global understanding and unity through art. The carefully curated exhibits, ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary works, provide an enriching experience for art enthusiasts and novices alike. The tranquil waterfront location adds to the museum's allure, offering a serene setting to appreciate the beauty of both the exhibits and the Arabian Gulf. A must-visit cultural gem that leaves a lasting impression on all who wander its halls.

One of the most beautiful museums in the world, the largest in the Arabian peninsula and also a truly architectural wonder. Located on Saadyat Island at the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, the museum has fabulous historical art pieces and other collections from all the periods. You can easily book tickets online prior to your visit and enjoy your time. Please ensure you download their application "Louvre" prior to the visit as it contains audios and information relating to the collections in the museum. You just have to read the references number from the collections and dial it in the app. Overall a very good experience with the art section containing one of the best art collection I've seen. Highly recommended.

Great place to visit! Small collection (comparing to large European museums), but very interesting and well organized. The building itself is fantastic, with a pleasant open area surrounded by water. It was not crowded at all, which was a pleasant surprise, at least when I was there, on a Friday afternoon.

In terms of art, there’s not much to see. But the architecture is stunning. The open outside area is so calming, with rays of sun piercing through the ceiling. Worth a visit. The customer service is excellent as well. We were taken by a buggy from parking to entrance, to help us avoid the hot weather in mid July.

Had an amazing experience. The architecture of the museum alone makes it worth visiting the place. The collection of art (and sculptures) is decent enough. Modern design, lovely blend of white walls and blue waters all around, the huge mesh like dome adds to the beauty of it. Must visit for all art lovers

Very very beautiful modern architecture! Natural lighting and all giving you a grand futuristic almost poetic vibe. Combination of natural colour of materials that they use as indoor and outdoor is excellent. The museum collections surely different from Louvre Paris. Nonetheless it's still interesting worth to visit. Located next to the water, the outside part of the museum also quite a view. We were there at a very very good timing. The sunset view behind the museum was a wonder itself.

What an amazing architectural complex. It consists of cubical volumes that has permanent and temporary exhibitions, restaurant and cafe. Water element between the volumes is creating a visual connection and feels like you are floating in the ocean and also perfect blue shade is giving colorfulness to the area. Finally the dome itself. I call it as tremendous umbrella that is covering all of the complex and creating amazing vistas, shades underneath and attraction.

I really was blown away by the broad spectrum of historical events covered in the venue. Beautifully curated and wonderful staff to guide you through. Perhaps they could have a bit better maps guiding you through but I didn’t use the headsets, so perhaps that was also included. Make sure to spend at least a half day -two or three hours is needed to scratch the surface. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had some issues with the ticketing machine, charging us for ticket but not printing a receipt, but then the staff said the transaction was invalid. We had to wait around to get it sorted, however staff was very diligent and dealt with it professionally. Would recommend to purchase tickets at the desk instead. Stunning, educational and immaculate. A place like no other. The Cartier exhibition with video displays of how the jewellery was created was our favourite! Would love to come back again to see a different temporary exhibition.

A nice Museam, excellent architecture. The building is quite spacious, and all the different exhibits are cleverly distributed throughout the building. In the building, there are cafes and restaurants to grab a bite to eat. Also, a shop where you can purchase some nice souvenirs. I would have liked to try the kayaking around the building, which looked like fun and very scenic to grab some pictures 📸 It is a very neat and tidy place, very relaxing.

ON MY LAST NIGHT IN ABU DHABI I WAS ABLE TO VISIT LOUVE. ALTHOUGH IT WAS CLOSED. I ASKED THE GUARDS TO GIVE ME A FEW MINUTES TO TOUR THE GROUNDS BEFORE LEAVING ABU DHABI AND FLYING HOME TO N.Y. I MUST SAY, THIS PLACE CAPTIVATED MY HEART. I VISITED ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF, THIS IS MY CHRISTMAS GIFT. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SITE TO BEHOLD. THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN IS BRILLIANT FOR SO MANY REASONS. I FELT LIKE THIS SHOULD BE LISTED WITH THE 7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD... I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO ABU DHABI JUST TO SPEND MORE TIME HERE. MY TRUTHS:)

If you love museums like we do, louvre abu dhabi will feel like a time travel to the past. It is a modern building holding traces from the past. The dome is spectacular and has a different charm to it in day light and in the evening. It wasn't too crowded the last time we went there. We would definately want to go back again.

The best aspect about this place is that the monument is as much of a spectacle as all the artifacts and artwork it homes. With breathtaking architecture, it's easy to fall into its alluring charm, but all the rich history and heritage manages to snap you out of it and put you back on track. The priceless collection includes a rare, and unearthed, Picasso artwork, and a plethora of artifacts from the Mediterranean and Central and East Asia. After the expansive 2-hour tour, you are free to explore the rest of the place, grab a bite at the local cafe, or go for a round of kayaking. There's also a lovely boutique at the end where you can shop for a myriad of art and historic stuff.

An extraordinary open museum that is a work of art itself. Upon arrival I was dazzled by the architecture. The dome of the museum is just admirable from distance. The museum features many exhibitions and takes a whole to get around. The ceiling inside the museum is just absolutely stunning to see. You will need several visits to enjoy this place. The museum has a cafe and restaurant which you can enter during the museum opening time. I had the full pleasure to photograph the museum and took incredible photos and videos.

Beautiful architecture with very well curated exhibits and spaces. Liked the fact that its not just jam packed with artefacts but the whole flow of the journey made sense and had a quiet calm about the whole theme. Just the building itself was a sight to behold and it was apparent some were there purely to use the building and the "floating" platform as their instagram runway. They had a kids museum that was very interactive and not crowded which was a pleasant respite from the bustling malls. Bonus was that you did not need to buy a ticket months in advance for a strict timeslot. Had plenty of tickets available when I walked in.

This is a really beautiful museum and loving the fact its bringing a sense of culture into the heart of Abu Dhabi. The structure of the place is magnificent and the museum is split into two areas of which is the permanent display and then an exhibition. Both are beautifully laid out and presented and such beautiful pieces. It also has easy access to facilities, staff are friendly and the value is reasonable for what you get. Then the view at the end is also wonderful. I highly recommend,

Pretty cool museum! The architecture is very sleek and modern - the building itself is like an art piece. The permanent exhibits have interesting information on the history of art and artifacts. It feels pretty linear though. There's also temporary exhibits and a children's museum that are elsewhere under the dome, as well as some cafes. It's a cool place to check out and see in person.

Manga Lab was part of a beautiful Louvre museum in Abu Dhabi. Personally I prefer how amazingly its designed and how the building itself looks like. Even during the hot days there is a fresh breeze of the air at one part of the museum where is the best place to seat and think about the art and to become art. There are some amazing art pieces that were brought from Louvre from Paris.

Such a lovely place to go around. The galleries were great and nicely laid out, although it feels a little small in some areas, they have a wide variety of displays too, from historical to artistic. The roof is definitely the highlight though, the Plaza area offers an amazing opportunity to look at the roof and offers a nice ambience. Will definitely recommend visiting this place.

Beautiful museum to walk around and enjoy. The building is beautiful from the outside and also from within the outside section under the roof. Tickets are around 60AED each and the art is held within white box rooms where you can't see the bird nest roof. After you see the art you "exit" into the outside area covered by the roof. This has a cafe and auditorium etc and is the best place to take your pictures.

Good morning, we went there early in morning to enjoy sunrise and breeze at waterside. It wasn't a trip to museum itself but surely this was amazing experience to be there. Very nice weather, sightseeing, the kayaking, building of museum looks so beautiful with bright light coming out of the roof. The echo sound coming from the roof itself gives you thumbs-up 👍 experience. Would like to go little early for some jogging around it and on the other side of building to enjoy sun rise over the top of the museum roof.

  • 5/5 Ruksana K. 3 years ago on Google
Absolute stunning architecture. Fell in the love with the umbrella style of the building and how it is all encompassing so wherever you go you can see it looking over you. Very mesmerising I would go back for that alone. Then there is kayaking opportunities that need booking. The museum itself is extensive but because of Covid some areas are closed. Lots of hidden gems inside, educational for kids and adults alike.

Breathtaking design and architecture. It's size is quite astounding and holds many different areas with historic arts. A lot about bronze age and stone age facts and artifacts can be found here. A lot of time is required to see all that's offered, probably one full day to be thorough.

  • 4/5 Nerissa L. 2 years ago on Google
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a work of art itself. The layered lattice work of its domed roof is wonderful to behold both outside and in. The museum contains enough interesting artifacts and works of art for viewing. There is a restaurant on site but it was closed to the public when we visited. It looked like a lovely place for a meal and worth trying next visit.

  • 5/5 Nicolas M. 2 years ago on Google
I am not an Art guy to be fair and I still loved this place. The outdoor architecture alone is worth the visit, the Museum Cafe offers great food at low prices and the Art inside is pretty cool going through the different periods of time with each new room. I highly recommend you download the App where you can do a “highlights tour” of either 30 or 90min which gives you mini descriptions lasting 1-2min per art piece. Having been to The Louvre in Paris, and having felt overwhelmed with how much there is; the Abu Dhabi museum is much more refreshing, quick and cool in my opportunity.

  • 5/5 Wen L. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful museum in United Arab Emirate! If you like culture/art and building, you must to see, I recommend you download the application of museum and learn about the objects, and remember reserving enough time for outdoor to see how they build this wonderful place. Had a nice time. A good variety of artwork from themed from the first villages to the modern day and also from diverse regions. The mobile app was worth downloading. I bought a ticket online before the visit. There are side rooms that are very nice too, but they can sometimes be a little hidden, so don't miss them!

  • 5/5 Michael W. 1 year ago on Google
The building of the Louvre Abu Dhabi impresses with this huge translucent dome. The white color of the outer parts harmoniously matches the turquoise blue water. The structure and the design inside is very clear. If you follow the tour, you can see all the exhibits in order. The explanations in writing and audio guide are very good. Should definitely take a look.

  • 5/5 Indrajeet P. 1 year ago on Google
This is very small if you compare it to the main Louvre museum in Paris. Nevertheless, it still gets 5 stars as it is a very good museum in terms of the exhibits, internal layout and also the external surroundings. It is easy to locate and has ample parking. Don’t forget to get the golf cart ride (and to tip the person) to just see around the museum very quickly.

  • 5/5 Sumera U. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to spend your day. Loved the children museum which had lot of fun activities 😀 Important information: 1. You are not allowed to carry large bags with you. So carry a small handbag or purse. 2. You are not allowed to take any water with you.. so drink up well before starting your tour

  • 5/5 Haim T. 10 months ago on Google
Amazing architecture. The art collection is a eclectic but high quality and fascinating. They close at 18:30 and the space is open till midnight but I don’t think it worth going there just to see the dome

  • 5/5 TMB - Tamil B. 11 months ago on Google
The museum layout is great, with all the description and details for each and every artefact we see. Moreover there is an app which acts as the audio, visual guide to the museum. Vast collection, spacious and creative display of items. Sufficient Restroom, drinking water, sitting bench facility available. Need to walk longer distance to cover the whole museum. It was a satisfied experience for me. The singular roof design was attractive, sunset view is beautiful from here. Worth visit, gained lot of information.

  • 5/5 Waqas A. 11 months ago on Google
Amazing and breathtaking place! One can spend a whole day and still won’t be able to absorb all the beautiful art work. Highly recommended to visit alone and check all art pieces with focus and attention. Food facilities available within the museum area.

It's truly a memorable experience to be here.. the space is ample to move around and admire/learn about world history.. the display is commendable.. I was more impressed with their app. Detailed notes on imp artifacts, galleries inventory.. and the map of the museum was very helpful.. Don't forget to carry your headphones!!

Beautiful and amazing architecture so you can visit the museum during summer and stay outside as the dome will block the sun light. Great location too, near the city, and you can even rent a kayak and see the museum from the water. Their collection is extensive and you can learn a lot in a day. Truly recommended!

  • 5/5 Zulfiqar A. 11 months ago on Google
An amazing collection for antique items from the globe. The museum is well organized and staff is very friendly, which make your tour more comfortable. If you want enjoy all the galleries, you must go early afternoon.

We decided to leave Dubai early on Sunday morning. It was nice not crowded and it was convenient to see all the exhibits and, of course, take pictures for social media’s ) A very modern museum and interesting architecture. We recommended to visit if you are in Abu Dhabi in the cultural capital.

  • 4/5 Julie B. 9 months ago on Google
It's a nice museum, though I found a bit funny walking around since there's not a clear path to follow, I really loved the sculptures they were stunning and wonderful and the painting exhibit was varied and lovely, it would be great if there was a Kandinsky entire exhibit. The cultural shuttle from Dubai is advertised on the web page, however no staff in the museum knows about it, at 1 pm when the shuttle is supposed to collect people for the next stop is nowhere to be seen and there's also no signs to know where to take it. Oh and I didn't know you had a turtle rescue area and that is impressive!

  • 5/5 Deedy C. 8 months ago on Google
Absolutely love this place! Definitely recommended for anyone who’s interested in history or architecture. Great angles and viewing corridors created to never lose sight of the sea. Architectural masterpiece.

  • 4/5 Georges F. 9 months ago on Google
The place is just Amazing. Overall the experience was worth every penny of the ticket. The outside architecture is just surreal with all the light beams passing through the beautiful sealing. The white boxes under the immense dome makes it perfect to walk around and focus on the mood and atmosphere instead of the building blocks. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because I would have expected a section specifically reserved for the architecture development of this project. The information could be found online but cannot compare to having a scaled sized model with technical explanations in real life at the Louvre. The content of the museum sure is interesting and informative but it would’ve been such a huge upgrade if a section dedicated to the construction of the project and its architect existed. Overall, must visit.

  • 5/5 Aaron-Albert H. 7 months ago on Google
I was thoroughly impressed with the architecture itself and the art took my breath away. The collection is very extensive however, it did lack African American artwork. There were some interesting artifacts and I will be back. I was curious to know how each piece was selected and how often the collection changes. The quotes throughout the exhibits were amazing as well.

  • 4/5 Joy St. L. 7 months ago on Google
It's a very modern space for some of the world's antiquities. It's an art museum and one that is the premier brand of the Louvre. There's a nod to the permanent displays of The Louvre, pieces that will be part of the permanent displays of the Louvre Abu Dhabi and other features that will be the main draw for this space. Easy to navigate and very new, it's a wonderful way to spend time with art. Security is everywhere and is actually very helpful. The museum store is a little chaotic but the cashier moved things along.

Not only a museum but also a great place to watch, learn and compare different cultures , costumes and societies in centuries . It’s a pleasure to have this amazing complex in middle east as same level of Paris. A big plaza with different functions even children museum. Restaurant is available inside , also a market for buying special gifts.

  • 5/5 Olivier B. 5 months ago on Google
The pros : beautiful building, fluid access, good catering options, choice of permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. It is particularly nice not to have to queue as you would have to in Paris. The cons : maybe the size of the collection is much more reduced than in France.

An Amazing place . Very unique and valuable history in the place from all over the world . For those who complain about rude security. I did not see any strange behavior unless for those who doesn’t admire and respect the unbelievably beautiful history in the museum. You won’t expect nice treatment if u try to spoil something that is more than 4000 years old and it is priceless because u just want to do whatever u want … everyone was professional I wish I can work there 😢😢😢
