Imperial Dragon is one of the older Desi-Chinese restaurants around. The restaurant has a very old school feel to it where it seems like you are back in the 90s as soon as you step foot in to the restaurant. Located in Mankhool, the restaurant is quite popular with the local desi community and is generally packed on the weekends. We ordered Sliced Beef in Oyster Sauce, Mince Beef with Steamed Noodles and a side of Egg Fried Rice. One thing that I found out of place is that you aren't served complimentary Prawn Crackers while you wait for your meal, as is the case in most similar restaurants. Unaware of this, we ended up ordering Prawn Crackers while we waited on our order. The food is freshly prepared and can take some time. The food is on the spicier side so do take care when ordering. Everything tasted good and the portions served are easily good for two. Nothing out of the ordinary but a restaurant surely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Indian Chinese cuisine, Sino-Indian cuisine, or Desi-Chinese cuisine is a distinct fusion culinary style that combines aspects of both Indian and Chinese foods and flavours. Indian cuisine reflects an thousands years of various groups and cultures interacting with the Indian subcontinent, leading to diversity of flavours and regional cuisines found in modern-day India. The most popular origin story of the fusion food resides with the Chinese of Calcutta, who immigrated to British Raj India looking for work opening restaurant businesses in the area. These early Chinese food sellers adapted their culinary styles to suit the tastes of the Indians in order for Chinese food sellers to keep earning money from the Indians. Calcutta Chinese food was at one time the most famous and authentic in India. Some would go as far as saying that it (Calcutta Chinese food) is the Godfather of Indian Chinese. The portions were generous and surprisingly, not spicy, at least for my taste. Place is casual but clean. Service was friendly.

Indo Chinese is what you are looking for. PLEASE VISIT THIS ONE I have been craving for soup and have tried n number of restaurants out here but none was able to satisfy my taste buds. This one just made me visit them over and over again. I am not a big fan of curries when it comes to Chinese food but the noodles and soups make me go weak in knees. Hot and sour is highly recommended. I visit them often for it. Thier dimsums are also nice Hakka noodles are one of the best Chicken/ prawns or vegetable. Fried rice is amazing too it's like a perfect blend of egg chicken and veggies. Soups are the best , must try highly recommended. I am not having all the pictures but whatever I have , will keep adding more.

Tried once, name is calcutta chinese but taste all are chinese type. As usual.chinese favurete hooka noodle, fried rice and manchurian fry etc.. Taste are good and staff are ok (No smile just like do and go) with service. Seating inside arround 25 people can sit. Wash room is dirty behind the restaurant. (Need to keep clean). Parking is difficult amx based on luck. No wheel chair access. Can try once if you're near there.

My husband and I did not plan to visit any place to eat when we were around the area but we were both starving while running errands last weekend. I only wanted to eat something that would bring warmth and comfort and I had no particular dish in mind. My husband, being the better researcher between the 2 of us, found Calcutta Imperial Dragon Restaurant. This is close to Sharaf DG metro station. We got there a little after 12 pm; we were the first diners although we saw a couple tables reserved at 2pm. While the interior design presented an old restaurants vibes to it; kind of like giving you the 80s vibes, it was spotless! I think it was the manager who welcomed us and ushered us to our table. There were several options to choose from on the menu so we went for a couple dishes that we felt were good to try based on the server’s feedback. We ordered fish and chose the one w with ginger sauce and veg noodles. I totally forgot the names and even forgot to take photos when they served us the dishes. 🥲 We agreed that we’d order more if we feel like eating more or if the servings wouldnt be enough. Surprisingly, the servings were generous, filling and more importantly, they brought warmth and comfort! Both dishes were tasty. We also ordered fresh carrot and orange juice drinks and asked for lots of ice. They were refreshing! There were a couple servers at this time but we never experienced any delay in our orders considering there was another family who got there several minutes after we did. We paid close to 100Dhs for 2 pax which was worth it! Thanks to the entire team for being welcoming and for serving good food! We’ll come back for sure, will try other dishes and take better photos. 😄

Honestly the BEST indochinese I have had in Dubai. 10/10 on everything. The service was swift, cozy ambience, impeccable taste, affordable and a very considerate owner who took time to speak to every customer to ensure if they were comfortable and liking the food. Please do visit.

Honest review about the place. The golden fried prawns and crispy vegetables were great very crispy and fresh. In the menu the crispy veg comes with sauce but you can ask it without. I would not recommend the hakka chicken as the chicken was mini nuggets. The portion size is also a bit small for noodles. But they were flavorful. If you want to check it out it's near burjuman metro station.

For aficionados of the specific Calcutta Chinese cuisine, this is as authentic as it gets. The food is excellent. The service so heartfelt and personable. Always a pleasure to be here.

They say Calcutta Chinese but such horrible taste I have never experienced. Found same stink in Prawn Manchow soup and Mixed fried rice. Chilly chicken was reasonably OK as you get any restaurant here but not Calcutta style. They should not claim to be Calcutta style Chinese food as it is definitely not.

The famous calcutta style Chinese. A must try if you love calcutta Chinese. The food is awesome and so is the ambiance. Just a little issue with parking, but they have free parking available. Must try the fried dumplings, the fried rice and the noodles. Also try the dumpling soup, very tasty and looks healthy as well...

Three years back I used to regularly visit/ order from this place and loved it ! This time, I was shocked to see that the food tasted nothing like how it used to be. Ginger chicken, the chicken with Cashew Nuts with vegetables and the gravy noodles, all tasted the same!!! I was aghast to see such little quantity for the dishes with hardly any chicken in them. Felt totally disappointed with the quality of the food and spending AED 150 on this left a bad taste ! So if you want to have an overload of carbs with cornstarch sauce, please go ahead and order.

In BurDubai the Authentic Chinese food restaurant, the taste was tremendous and a very hygienic environment. The price was acceptable, complimentary chicken corn soup. The quantity was not enough as per Pakistani food intake mindset😆

The food here tastes delicious. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian dishes are very flavorful and authentic. The owner is a very kind person. We had requested a delivery to a very far location away from their range. Basis our request he went out of his way to get the dishes delivered at our location. The food is delicious and their service is outstanding. If you want authentic Calcutta Chinese food - This place is it
