King Hussein Mosque was built in 2005 in the reign of King Abdullah II in West Amman, specifically in Al Hussein Public Parks at King Abdullah II Street near King Hussein Medical Center. The mosque is located at an altitude of 1,013 metres (3,323 ft) above sea level and can thus be seen from most parts of Amman. It is square and features four minarets and marble floors.

The Largest mosque in Jordan ,Build in 2005 , the mosque was designed by the Egyptian architect - Dr. Khaled Azzam. The Mosque and held up to 5500 prayer. Sourand by the king hussein Park. Built in the Islamic, Omayyad-Ottoman architectural style, but very much Ammanesque in look, the mosque has four minarets and one large dome. The mosque has huge Car Parking and good setup for disabled people.

The Great Mosque King Hussein bin Talal Mosque (may God have mercy on him) It was opened in the Dabouq area, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on April 12, 2006 under the patronage of King Abdullah II. It is distinguished by its square shape, its four minarets, and its marble floor. It was built on a land of about 60,000 square meters, and it can accommodate about 5,500 worshippers, and the building area is about 8,000 square meters, and the rest of the space was allocated to parking lots that can accommodate 450 cars, and to internal streets, corridors, sidewalks, stairs, planting basins and green spaces.

Not a sight for tourists!! Apparently during COVID the mosque cannot be visited by non-Muslims. This includes the surrounding area - ie. you can’t even get close to the mosque to take outside picture. Don’t waste time and money to come here at the moment. Sadly, no official tourism or mosque website exists with relevant information for tourists.

Beautiful, elegant and an authentic Mosque called King Hussein. Designed with an Andalusian style and taste. Very well prepared, for the first time I experience it at mosques, it has internal ground heater to warm your legs and feet. I loved praying there.

Beautiful mosque. I prefer this over King Abdullah I mosque. The Friday Khutbah here was very good and relevant. People lay carpet on the tiles outside to accommodate the high demand on Fridays. Free parking inside which is amazing. Wudu facilities are good and large. If i ever go back to Jordan, i would definitely come here again and bring family & friends.

From distant, looks like a fortress. Impressive architecture. King Hussein Mosque was built in 2005 in the reign of present king. The mosque is located at an altitude of 1,013 metres above sea level and can thus be seen from most parts of Amman. It is square and features four minarets and marble floors. It is beautifully out at night and could be seen as an elegant building from my room window of Sadeen Amman Hotel.

(Translated by Google) It was built by the second caliph of Islam, Omar, in the middle of the 7th century; however, it was rebuilt by King Abdullah I (Abdullah bin al Hussein) in 1932 with the existing white and pink stones. For this reason, the mosque is also called the King Hussein Mosque. However, the mosque has undergone a major restoration in 1987 in order to give it a more modern appearance. I learned that the plane trees in his garden were brought from our country.
